Abstract
The invention provides a method for selecting a software version to update on a television, which belongs to the technical field of televisions and comprises the following steps: software updating history options and OTA software upgrading menu options are set in a software management menu of the television, and a software changing history file is set in a local server; when the software updating history option is clicked, the television acquires and displays the software updating history file data of the local server; selecting a target version of the desired target software, and recording a version number; clicking an OTA software upgrading menu option of the television, selecting target software, and acquiring and displaying all version information of the target software in the OTA software upgrading server by the television; and selecting a target version file of the target software to download and performing overlay updating. The invention has the beneficial effects that: the change history and the history version information of the target software can be quickly known, and the version can be freely selected for upgrading or downgrading.

Therefore, the invention provides a method and a system for selecting a software version to update in a television, which can set a software update history option and an OTA software update menu option in the television, set a software change history file in a local server, deploy all released version information and version files of all software in the television in an OTA software upgrade server, and quickly know the target software change history and history version information by checking the software change history file when the high version of the television is in a problem, wherein the information comprises the add-delete function and the advantages and disadvantages of each historical version of the target software, so that a specified target version is selected to be downloaded and updated in the OTA software upgrade server, and the update can not only select the high version which is not updated and upgraded in the television but is released in the OTA software upgrade server, namely the update, but also can be degraded and updated to a relatively stable low version which is used before, thereby solving the problem that the software upgrade update of the television in the prior art can not freely select the version update and can not check the add-delete function and the disadvantages of each historical version.

Claims (10)
1. A method for enabling a television to select a software version for updating, comprising the steps of:
step 1: software updating history options and OTA software upgrading menu options are set in a software management menu of the television, and a software changing history file is set in a local server;
step 2: the television automatically establishes connection with a local server every time the television is started, and stores the updating information of the software in the television every time into a software change history file;
and step 3: when the television is in use, when the software updating history option is clicked, the television detects whether the local server can be connected or not;
and 4, step 4: when the television can be connected with the local server, the television acquires and displays the software change history file data of the local server;
and 5: selecting a target version of the desired target software from the software change history file data, and recording a version number;
and 6: clicking an OTA software upgrading menu option of the television, selecting target software, and detecting whether the television can be connected with an OTA software upgrading server or not;
and 7: when the television can be connected with the OTA software upgrading server, the television acquires and displays all version information of the target software in the OTA software upgrading server;
and 8: according to the recorded version number, selecting a target version file of the target software to download and performing overlay updating;
and step 9: and finishing the update of the target version of the target software, and refreshing the version information of the target software of the television.
2. The method of claim 1, wherein the software version is selected for updating on the television set, and wherein: in the step 2, the current version information of all software in the television, the historical version information of all software and each update date are stored in the software change history file of the local server, and the stored information in the software change history file of the local server can only add content, and cannot delete and modify the stored content.

The method of claim 2, wherein the software version is selected for updating at the television set, and wherein: in the step 2, the local server is also in communication connection with the OTA software upgrading server, and version information of all software in the television which is not updated and is released by the OTA software upgrading server is also stored in the software change history file of the local server.

7. The method of claim 6, wherein the software version is selected for updating on the television set, and wherein: in step 7, all released version information and version files of all software in the television are prestored in the OTA software upgrade server.
8. The method of claim 7, wherein the software version is selected for updating on the television set, and wherein: in step 8, the version of the target software may be updated in an overlay manner by selecting any version of the target software except for the current version of the target software in the television.
9. The method of enabling a software version to be selected for updating at a television of claim 8, wherein: in step 8, if the version of the target software is the same as the current version of the television, the television will prompt that the version of the target software exists, and the update cannot be downloaded.
10. A system for implementing the method of any one of claims 1 to 9 for enabling a software version to be selected for updating at a television, comprising:
