Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of wireless communication technologies, and in particular, to a processing method performed by a relay UE, and a corresponding base station and user equipment.
Background
A remote UE (remote UE) can communicate with the base station through a relay UE. The remote UE in the idle state or the inactive state may request the relay UE with which the PC5 connection is established to listen to the paging message from the base station for the relay UE, thereby ensuring reachability of the remote UE. When the PC5 connection between the remote UE and the relay UE is released, the relay UE no longer needs to provide the service to the remote UE.
The Relay UE may obtain a UE identity, a Discontinuous Reception (DRX) parameter, and the like of the remote UE from the remote UE, and then receive a paging message on a paging control channel at a paging time corresponding to the remote UE, and detect whether the UE identity of the remote UE is included therein. The relay UE may forward the paging message to the remote UE if the UE identity of the remote UE is included.
The Relay UE may also provide the obtained information of the remote UE to the base station. When the paging message arrives at the base station side, the base station is responsible for distributing the paging message of the remote UE to the remote UE, and then the remote UE forwards the paging message to the remote UE. In this case, the base station needs to know timely which remote UE paging messages can be directly distributed to the corresponding relay UE, and which remote UE paging messages need to be transmitted on the paging control channel. In order to guarantee the efficiency of delivering the paging message, a corresponding solution needs to be provided.

In the following, an NR mobile communication system and its subsequent evolution are taken as an example application environment, and a base station and a UE device supporting NR are taken as an example, and a plurality of embodiments according to the present invention are specifically described. However, it should be noted that the present invention is not limited to the following embodiments, but is applicable to more other wireless communication systems, such as an LTE, communication system, or an NB-Iot system, or an LTE-M system. But also to other base stations and UE devices, such as those supporting LTE/NB-Iot/LTE-M.
In the NR access technology, the UE state may be divided into an RRC IDLE state (IDLE), an RRC connected state, and an RRC INACTIVE state (INACTIVE) according to a connection state of the UE on an air interface. In the RRC inactive state, although the UE has no connection over the air interface, the access stratum context (AS context) of the UE is retained on the base station and UE sides, and the UE is allocated an I-RNTI, which is an identity used by the UE to recover the RRC connection. This intermediate state may be considered a connection suspended (suspend) state or may be considered an Inactive (Inactive) state.
One UE may have two UE identities according to its RRC state:
UE identity 1: when the UE is in an RRC IDLE state (IDLE state), an upper layer of the UE, mainly a non-access stratum, may indicate the UE identity 1 to the RRC layer of the UE. The RRC layer may determine whether the UE is paged (paging) by the network side through the identifier. Typically, the core network triggers a paging message identified by UE identity 1. For example, when receiving a paging message, the UE determines whether the received paging message includes UE identity 1 containing an upper layer indication. If so, the UE indicates the UE identity to an upper layer. Accordingly, the upper layer may trigger the UE to initiate a connection establishment procedure. In the application, S-TMSI is taken as an example, and is indicated to UE identity 1 of the UE as an upper layer, but UE identity 1 is not limited to S-TMSI, and may be other identities.
UE identity 2: when the UE is in the RRC INACTIVE state (INACTIVE state), the RRC layer of the UE holds the UE identity 2. The RRC layer can determine whether the UE is paged by the network side through the identifier. Typically, the access network will trigger a paging message with UE identity 2 as the identity. For example, when receiving the paging message, the UE determines whether the received paging message includes the UE identity 2 stored by itself. If so, the UE will initiate the RRC connection recovery procedure. In the present application, I-RINT is taken as an example, and I-RNTI is used as the UE identity 2 stored in the RRC layer of the UE, but the UE identity 2 is not limited to I-RNTI, and may be other identities.
Specifically, if the UE is in INACTIVE state, the received paging message includes UE identity 1 indicated by the upper layer, e.g., S-TMIS. In this case, the UE indicates this UE identity S-TMIS to the upper layer and then enters the RRC idle state.
Remote UEs need to provide relay service for remote UEs because they cannot connect directly to the base station. For remote UEs in RRC IDLE state or RRC INACTIVE state, the relay UE may provide relay service mainly for paging relay service. Such paging Relay service means that the Relay UE receives a paging message for a remote UE connected to its Relay from a base station and transmits the paging message to the remote UE connected to its Relay.
There are two ways for the Relay UE to receive the paging message from the base station and using the remote UE as the paging object:
the method I comprises the following steps: the relay UE receives the paging message on the common paging control channel, confirms whether the paging message contains the paging identifier of the remote UE, and can forward or indicate the paging message to the remote UE if the paging message containing the paging identifier of the remote UE is received.
The second method comprises the following steps: the relay UE receives a dedicated signaling (dedicated signaling) from the base station, where the signaling is used to indicate or convey the arrival of a paging message of the remote UE, and the signaling at least includes a paging identifier of the remote UE. After receiving the signaling, the relay UE may indicate to the remote UE that it is paged by the network/base station, or that a paging message arrives for the remote UE.
In the second method, the base station needs to know the relay UE providing the paging relay service for the remote UE, so that the base station can ensure that the paging message of the remote UE is sent to the correct relay UE.
The UE identity used by the base station/network side for paging the remote UE may be the UE identity 1 (e.g., S-TMIS) or the UE identity 2 (e.g., I-RNTI).
The relay between the Remote UE and the relay UE may typically be a PC5 connection, or referred to as a sidelink connection. The Remote UE may initiate a request to the relay UE connected to its presence PC5, requesting the relay UE to listen and receive paging messages for it, i.e. provide a paging relay service. The Remote UE provides information related to its paging reception, such as UE identity of the Remote UE, DRX configuration parameters, cycle settings, etc., to the relay UE through a PC5 RRC message, such as rrcreeconfigurationsidedelink message.
Based on these information, the relay UE may calculate a paging occasion (paging occasion) of the remote UE, receive a paging message at the corresponding paging occasion, and then detect whether the received paging message contains the UE ID of the remote UE, that is, obtain the paging message of the remote UE in the above-mentioned manner. If there is a UE ID of the remote UE, the remote UE can inform the remote UE through a PC5 connection.
In addition, the Relay UE may also provide the acquired related information for paging reception of the remote UE to the base station. When the paging message arrives at the base station side, the base station is responsible for distributing the paging message of the remote UE to the corresponding remote UE, and then the remote UE forwards the paging message to the remote UE, namely the paging message of the remote UE is obtained through the second mode.
Near field communication
The Remote UE and the relay UE carry out wireless connection/relay connection in a near field communication mode to realize transmission of data or signaling. The near field communication means referred to herein mainly refers to a sidelink (sidelink) connection. And the system can also be in WIFI connection or other connection modes. The reference point (reference point) between the UE and the UE based on the sidelink connection is referred to as PC5, and thus the connection between the remote UE and the relay UE may be referred to as PC5 connection. Such PC5 connections may be identified by a pair of Layer 2 identifications (a pair of Layer-2 IDs), typically including a Source Layer 2 identification (Source Layer-2 ID) and a Destination Layer 2 identification (Destination Layer-2 ID). Or may simply be a PC5 connection, sidelink connection, etc. for or corresponding to a certain address.
Sidelink radio link failure (SL RLF)
The UE may determine that a radio link failure has occurred with respect to a sidelink connection at a specific address (specific destination):
when a sidelink RLC entity is received indicating that a maximum number of retransmissions (uplink indication from a sidelink RLC entry that the maximum number of retransmissions for an a specific destination has been reached) has been reached for a particular address;
when the timer T400 for a particular address runs out of time (upon T400 exception for a specific destination);
when receiving the indication of the MAC entity, indicating that the detected continuous HARQ DTX for a specific address reaches the maximum number of times (uplink indication from MAC entry which is the maximum number of the continuous HARQ DTX for a specific destination has been read)
When the PDCP entity for the sidelink signaling bearer for the specific address indicates that an integrity protection check failure (uplink timing failure from the sidelink PDCP entity communicating SL-SRB for a specific failure) occurs.
In the sidelink connection or PC5 connection, a particular address corresponds to a PC5 connection, and therefore the PC5 connection corresponding to that address can be considered to have undergone SL RLF.
The method of the present invention is described below with reference to fig. 1 to 3.
Fig. 1 is a flowchart of a processing method performed by a relay UE according to one embodiment of the present invention.
As shown in fig. 1, in S102, it is determined whether a paging relay service between the relay UE and at least one remote UE provided with the paging relay service by the relay UE is changed. In the invention, the paging relay service comprises the steps of receiving a paging message aiming at the remote UE in relay connection with the relay UE from a base station and sending the paging message to the remote UE in relay connection with the base station.
The change in the paging relay service may include an addition of the paging relay service and/or a deletion of the paging relay service occurring between the relay UE and at least one remote UE provided with the paging relay service by the relay UE. The change of the paging relay service may be a change of a relay connection between the remote UE and the relay UE, for example, a new relay connection is added when the paging relay service request is received, and for example, the relay connection with the remote UE is disconnected in a case where it is determined that the relay service does not need to be provided for the relay-connected remote UE any more. The former belongs to the new paging relay connection and the latter belongs to the deleted paging relay connection. It should be noted that, in the present invention, when a remote UE has established a relay connection with a relay UE but receives a new paging relay service request from the remote UE, the remote UE also belongs to a new paging relay service.
As an example, it may be determined that a change to delete the paging relay service has occurred for the paging relay service in any of the following cases: (1) A relay connection between a relay UE and a remote UE of the at least one remote UE providing the paging relay service by the relay UE is released; (2) A remote UE of at least one remote UE provided with a paging relay service by a relay UE enters a connected state; (3) A stop paging relay service indication is received from a remote UE of the at least one remote UE providing a paging relay service by a relay UE, the stop paging relay service indicating to the relay UE that the paging relay service is no longer provided for the remote UE.
If the paging relay service between the relay UE and at least one remote UE provided with the paging relay service by the relay UE is changed, a report message is transmitted to the base station at S104. The report message includes remote UE information of the remote UE related to the change of the paging relay service. The remote UE information includes at least UE identification information for paging of the corresponding remote UE.
After receiving the report message, the base station may determine, based on the UE identification information of the remote UEs in the report message, which paging messages for the remote UEs may be directly sent to the relay UE via a dedicated channel with the relay UE, and which paging messages for the remote UEs are sent via a paging control channel. For example, after receiving the report message, the base station sends, to the relay UE, the paging message of the remote UE through the dedicated channel with the relay UE, for the remote UE in the report message indicating that the relay UE currently provides the paging relay service, and then the relay UE forwards the paging message to the remote UE.
As an example, when the paging relay service is deleted due to the above-described case (2), the report message may not be transmitted to the base station. At this time, the base station itself can know that the corresponding remote UE has entered the connected state, and further, the paging message can be sent through the RRC connection with the remote UE, so that it is not necessary to send a report message to the base station.
Fig. 2 is a flowchart of a processing method performed by a relay UE according to another embodiment of the present invention. In this embodiment, the report message includes list information of the remote UEs currently in a state in which the paging relay service is provided by the relay UE, and the list information is stored in the relay UE.
As shown in fig. 2, in S202, it is determined whether a paging relay service between the relay UE and at least one remote UE provided with the paging relay service by the relay UE is changed.
If a change has occurred, the list information is modified in accordance with the change of the paging relay service in S204. For example, if the change of the paging relay service is a new paging relay service, the remote UE information of the remote UE corresponding to the new paging relay service is added to the list information, and if the change of the paging relay service is a deletion of the paging relay service, the remote UE information of the remote UE corresponding to the deletion of the paging relay service is deleted from the list information.
Then, in S206, the modified list information is carried in a report message and sent to the base station.
Fig. 3 is a flowchart of a processing method performed by a relay UE according to another embodiment of the present invention.
As shown in fig. 3, at S302, it is determined whether a paging relay service between the relay UE and at least one remote UE provided with the paging relay service by the relay UE is changed.
If a change has occurred, at S304, the kind of the change occurred, i.e., whether to add a paging relay service or delete a paging relay service, is determined.
If the change is the new paging relay service, in S306, the remote UE information of the remote UE corresponding to the new paging relay service is recorded as new list information, where the new list information includes the remote UE information of the remote UE corresponding to the new paging relay service occurring after the report message was sent last time.
If the change is deleting the paging relay service, in S306, the remote UE information of the remote UE corresponding to the newly added paging relay service is recorded as deletion list information, and the deletion list information includes the remote UE information of the remote UE corresponding to the deleted paging relay service occurring after the report message is sent last time.
Further, although not shown in the drawings, it may be determined whether the relay UE has performed cell handover. In one example, when the relay UE performs a cell handover, it may be considered that the paging relay service provided by the relay UE to the at least one remote UE is changed. At this time, list information of the remote UE, which is provided with the relay service and is held at the relay UE, may be transmitted to the base station. When the cell handover occurs, a new remote UE may join the relay connection or a relay-connected remote UE may leave the relay connection, and thus it may be considered that the paging relay service is changed.
In another example, whether the relay UE is subjected to cell handover and whether the paging relay service is changed may be regarded as independent events, and when the relay UE is subjected to cell handover and the paging relay service is changed, a report message including information of the relayed remote UE may be transmitted to a base station to which the cell after handover belongs.
The procedures described above with reference to fig. 1 to 3 may also transmit a report message including remote UE information of the relayed remote UE to the base station in case it is determined that the relay UE is enabled to transmit the report message to the base station. For example, the flow from S102, the flow from S202, or the flow from S302 may start to be executed in a case where it is determined that the relay UE is enabled to transmit the report message to the base station. In another example, it may also be determined whether the relayed UE is enabled to transmit the report message to the base station in case it is determined that the change of the paging relay service occurs, and the report message may be transmitted if the relayed UE is enabled to transmit the report message to the base station. In one example, whether the relay UE is enabled to send the report message may be determined according to whether it is configured with common paging parameters. The relay UE may be determined to be enabled to send a report message to the base station if the relay UE is configured with the common paging parameters.
The treatment method of the present invention will be described below by referring to specific examples.
Example 1
The Relay UE establishes and maintains a variable varPaginGDeliveryList. The specific maintenance operations are as follows:
operation one: when the relay UE receives a request from the remote UE, and requests the relay UE to monitor and receive paging messages for the relay UE, the relay UE adds a record (entry) to the remote UE in a variable varPaginDeliveryList. The record contains at least the UE identity of the remote UE. Optionally, the record may further include address information and the like of the connection between the relay UE and the PC5 of the remote UE. In particular, the UE identity included in the record may be UE identity 1 or 2, or both UE identities of the remote UE may be saved.
Such a request may be a request for display, or implicit. For example, the PC5 RRC message sent by the remote UE to the remote UE carries indication information indicating that the remote UE is requested to monitor the paging message for the remote UE, and optionally, also carries related information for receiving the paging message of the remote UE, such as a UE identifier of the remote UE, DRX parameter setting, and the like. Or the remote UE carries the relevant information for receiving the paging message of the remote UE in the PC5 RRC message sent to the remote UE, thereby implicitly indicating the remote UE to monitor the paging message for the remote UE.
And operation two: when the PC5 connection between the relay UE and the remote UE is released, if a record corresponding to the remote UE exists in the variable varpagengigdeliverylist, the relay UE may delete (delete) or remove (remove) the record in the variable varpagengigdeliverylist.
The above-described release of the PC5 connection between the relay UE and the remote UE may be in a case where
Case 1: the upper layer (upper layer) of the relay UE requests the release of the PC5 RRC connection (the PC5-RRC connection release for the specific destination is requested by the upper layer) corresponding to a certain destination. In this case, if there is a remote UE corresponding to the address and a record corresponding to the remote UE exists in the variable varpaging deliverylist, the relay UE may delete (delete) or remove (remove) the record in the variable varpaging deliverylist.
Case 2: the relay UE detects that a radio link failure (radio link failure) occurs to the PC5 connection for a certain address. In this case, if a remote UE corresponds to the address and a record corresponding to the remote UE exists in the variable varpageingdeliverylist, the relay UE may delete (delete) or remove (remove) the record in the variable varpageingdeliverylist.
Operation three: when a remote UE enters the connected state, if a record corresponding to the remote UE exists in the variable varPagingDeliveryList, the relay UE may delete (delete) or remove (remove) the record in the variable varPagingDeliveryList.
The Relay UE may decide or know that the remote UE enters the connected state when:
-determining that the remote UE enters the connected state based on the received indication information from the remote UE indicating that the remote UE enters the connected state;
when the base station/network allocates a local identity to the remote UE, the relay UE may determine that the remote UE enters a connected state, where the local identity may be a UE identity carried in an adaptation layer;
when the relay UE receives the RRC configuration information for configuring the relay UE transmission, the relay UE may determine that the relay UE enters a connected state, for example, configuration information of an RLC transmission channel or a logical channel for the relay UE is included in an RRC reconfiguration message received by the relay UE from the base station.
And operation four: when the relay UE receives a request or indication sent by the remote UE, the request or indication indicates that the relay UE does not need to monitor or receive the information of the paging message for the remote UE. Then, based on the indication, the relay UE may delete (delete) or remove (remove) the record in the variable varpagengingdeliverylist if the record corresponding to the remote UE exists in the variable varpagengingdeliverylist.
When any of the above operations occurs, the relay UE may consider that the variable varpaging delivery list is changed (change) or updated (update), and then start (initiate) a process for reporting UE information to the base station, for example, sidelink UE information for NR Sidelink communication.
In this process, the UE initiates transmission of a report message (initial transmission of the reporting message). This report message may be an existing sildelinkueinformationnr message, or other RRC message.
In this report message, the UE may contain the information element sl-pagengdeliverylist, and set the value of this IE to the value of the variable varpagengdeliverylist. Or the variable varPaginGDeliveryList is carried in the report message.
After receiving the report message, the base station can acquire the latest information of the remote UE to be monitored, so as to perform correct operation.
Example 2
On the basis of embodiment 1, the relay UE may consider that when the maintenance operation 3) occurs, it is not necessary to start transmission of the report message.
Or, when any one of the first operation, the second operation and the fourth operation occurs, the relay UE may start (initiate) a process for reporting UE information to the base station; while the relay UE does not need to start the reporting procedure when the maintenance operation three occurs.
Or, only when any one of the first maintenance operation, the second maintenance operation and the fourth maintenance operation occurs, the relay UE considers that the variable varpagengdeliverylist is changed (change) or updated (update), and then starts (initial) a process for reporting UE information to the base station; when the maintenance operation three occurs, the relay UE does not need to start the reporting procedure, or does not consider that the variable varpagengdeliverylist has been changed (change) or updated (update).
Example 3
On the basis of embodiment 1, when the UE is configured (configured) or enabled (enabled) with a function of reporting relevant information of a remote UE for receiving a paging message, the UE performs the maintenance operation in embodiment 1; if the UE is not configured or disabled to report related information of the remote UE for receiving the paging message, the UE does not perform the maintenance operation in embodiment 1.
Here, the function of "reporting related information of the remote UE for receiving a paging message" is essentially a function of the remote UE providing the remote UE information to the base station. The provided remote UEs are mainly those requiring relay UEs to monitor paging messages, or remote UEs that have sent a request to monitor their paging messages to relay UEs; the provided information of the remote UE is at least a UE identity for paging the remote UE. For simplicity, the function of reporting remote UE paging is simply referred to hereinafter.
Such a configuration or enabling operation may be an explicit operation, for example, the base station sending the relay UE an RRC message indicating information for the relay UE to report the remote UE page.
Such a configuration or enabling operation may also be an implicit operation, which may be determined, for example, based on whether the relay UE is configured with one or more of the following parameters:
common Search Space (CSS);
paging Search Space (PSS);
common CORESET, etc.
Taking the common search space as an example, when relay UE is configured with the common search space, the relay UE does not need to report paging information of the remote UE, or the relay UE is disabled to report paging of the remote UE;
when the relay UE is not configured with the common search space, the relay UE needs to report paging information of the remote UE, or the relay UE is enabled to report paging of the remote UE, and further needs to perform the maintenance operation in embodiment 1.
For another example, the following may be determined according to whether the relay UE can receive the paging control channel:
when the relay UE can receive the paging control channel, the relay UE does not need to report the paging information of the remote UE or the function of reporting the paging of the remote UE is enabled;
when the relay UE cannot receive the paging control channel, the relay UE needs to report paging information of the remote UE, or enables a function of reporting paging of the remote UE.
On the basis of embodiment 1, another implementation method of this embodiment may be that
When the relay UE can consider that the variable varpageingdeliverylist is changed (change) or updated (update), the relay UE starts (initiate) the procedure for reporting the UE information to the base station described in embodiment 1 and performs the following operations only when the UE is configured (configured) or enabled (enabled) to report the function of the remote UE for receiving the related information of the paging message.
If the UE is not configured or disabled to report related information of the remote UE for receiving the paging message, a procedure for reporting the UE information to the base station is not initiated even if the variable varpaging delivery list is changed.
Or is
When the UE is configured (configured) or enabled (enabled) with the function of reporting the related information of the remote UE for receiving the paging message, the relay UE starts (initiate) the procedure for reporting the UE information to the base station described in embodiment 1 and performs the following operations only when the relay UE considers that the variable varpaging delivery list is changed (change) or updated (update).
When the UE is not configured or disabled to report related information of the remote UE for receiving the paging message, even if the relay UE considers that the variable varpaging delivery list is changed or updated, a procedure for reporting the UE information to the base station is not initiated
Example 4
On the basis of embodiments 1 to 3, if a relay UE is handed over, or performs a reconfiguration operation (reconfiguration with sync) synchronized to a new cell, preferably, after the relay UE successfully completes the handover (uplink successful handover) or the operation (uplink successful reconfiguration with sync) synchronized to the new cell, the relay UE may start the process of reporting UE information to the base station and start transmission of a report message, which is described in embodiment 1. The message contains the information element sl-pageingdeliverylist, and the value of the IE is set to the value of the variable varpageingdeliverylist. Or the report message carries the variable varPaginGDiveryList.
In addition, when the relay UE successfully completes RRC connection re-establishment, the relay UE may also start the process of reporting UE information to the base station and start transmission of the report message as described in embodiment 1.
Example 5
Different from the embodiment 1-4, the relay UE side does not maintain a variable any more, but when the remote UE to be monitored by the relay UE changes, the relay UE starts a process of reporting UE information to the base station, and sets different IEs in the report message according to different conditions. The specific implementation mode is as follows:
when the relay UE receives a request from the remote UE, and requests the relay UE to monitor and receive a Paging message for the relay UE, specifically, when receiving related information for receiving the Paging message of the remote UE, for example, a UE identity of the remote UE, the relay UE includes an IE Paging _ delivery _ addition _ list in the report message, and sets a value of the IE as the received UE identity of the remote UE. If the relay UE receives UE identities sent by multiple remote UEs at the same time, the IE Paging _ delivery _ addition _ list may be set in the form of a list. And then sends a report message.
When the PC5 connection between the relay UE and the remote UE is released, the relay UE contains IE Paging _ delivery _ release-list in the report message, and the value of the IE is set as the UE identity of the remote UE which is released. The release of the PC5 connection between the relay UE and the remote UE may be a release in the case described in embodiment 1.
When the relay UE is handed over, or performs a reconfiguration operation (reconfiguration with sync) for synchronizing to a new cell, preferably, after the relay UE successfully completes handover (uplink successful handover) or operation (uplink successful reconfiguration with sync) for synchronizing to a new cell, or when RRC connection re-establishment is successfully completed, the relay UE includes an IE Paging _ delivery _ addition _ list in a report message, and sets a value of the IE to be a UE identity of a remote UE having a PC5 connection with the relay UE.
Example 6
In either case, the Relay UE initiates a procedure to report UE information to the base station.
When relay UE receives a request from remote UE, and requests the relay UE to monitor and receive a paging message for the relay UE, specifically, when receiving related information for receiving the paging message of the remote UE, for example, UE identity of the remote UE;
when the PC5 connection between the relay UE and the remote UE is released. Wherein the PC5 connection between the relay UE and the remote UE is released may be released in the case described in embodiment 1;
when a handover occurs to the relay UE, or a reconfiguration operation (reconfiguration with sync) synchronized to a new cell is performed, preferably, after the handover (uplink handover) or the synchronization operation (uplink reconfiguration with sync) is successfully completed by the relay UE, or when RRC connection re-establishment is successfully completed by the relay UE.
In the process of starting reporting the UE information to the base station, the relay UE transmits a report message. This report message may be an existing SidelinkUEInformationNR message, or other RRC message. The information carries or includes information related to paging of the remote UE, which needs to be listened by the relay UE, for example, UE identity of the remote UE.
If the change of the paging relay service is a new paging relay service, a step may be performed to determine whether the remote UE corresponding to the new paging relay service is the same as any remote UE in the existing list information. And if the remote UE corresponding to the newly added paging relay service is the same as any remote UE in the existing list information, updating the UE identification information of any remote UE in the list information into the UE identification information corresponding to the newly added paging relay service. This example is explained with reference to embodiment 7.
Example 7
In the foregoing embodiments 1-3, the relay UE may first receive a request from the remote UE, carrying identity 1 of the remote UE. In this case, the relay UE may delete the record corresponding to the identity 1 and then add a new record containing the information of the identity 2. Or the relay UE modifies or updates the information corresponding to identity 1 to identity 2.
The Relay UE may determine that the two identities are from the same remote UE by the same address.
For example, a request from a remote UE is received on a PC5 link corresponding to a certain address, carrying identity 1 of the remote UE. The relay UE then receives a request from the remote UE on the PC5 link corresponding to the address, carrying the identity 2 of the remote UE. The relay UE may determine that these two identities, or that these two requests correspond to respective remote UEs, so that the record corresponding to identity 1 may be deleted before a new record is added, containing the information of identity 2. Or the relay UE modifies or updates the information corresponding to identity 1 to identity 2.
Or a request from the remote UE is received on the PC5 link corresponding to a certain address, carrying the identity 1 and the identity 2 of the remote UE. The relay UE then receives a request from the remote UE on the PC5 link corresponding to the address, carrying identity 1 of the remote UE. Then the relay UE may determine that the two identities or the two requests correspond to the same remote UE, and then delete the record corresponding to the identity 1 and the identity 2, and add a new record containing only the identity 1 information. Or the relay UE modifies or updates the record corresponding to both identity 1 and identity 2 to only identity 1.
The Relay UE may also determine that two requests are from the same remote UE through the same UE identity.
For example, the relay UE receives a request from the remote UE, carrying identity 1 and identity 2 of the remote UE. The relay UE then receives a request from the remote UE carrying identity 1 of the remote UE. If the identity 1 is the same as the previously received identity 1, the relay UE may determine that the two requests correspond to the same remote UE, and then the relay UE may delete the record corresponding to the record containing both the identity 1 and the identity 2, and add a new record containing only the information of the identity 1. Or the relay UE modifies or updates the record corresponding to both identity 1 and identity 2 to only identity 1.
