Description

Method for dynamically sharing conference assets in a messaging platform
Technical Field
The present invention relates generally to digital communications, and more particularly to a system and method for dynamically sharing conference assets within a messaging platform.
Background
Digital communication tools and platforms are critical to providing individuals and organizations with the ability to communicate and collaborate remotely, such as over the internet. In particular, video communication platforms have been heavily deployed to allow remote video sessions between multiple participants. Video communication applications for leisure friendly conversations ("chat"), web seminars, large group meetings, work meetings or gatherings, asynchronous work or personal conversations, and the like, have become popular.
In some such platforms, there are both "chat" or "messaging" functions in the conference and more permanent chat or messaging tools during the conference that can be used on the platform whether or not the user is in the conference. Chat or message "channels" can be created for chat participants to interact with each other through messages.
Disclosure of Invention
For conferences on such video communication platforms, there is currently no built-in system that can share certain assets after the meeting, such as files shared during the meeting, meeting notes, whiteboard images, etc. If such assets are shared in an in-meeting chat conversation, the assets are not shared or accessed within the persistent chat channel after the meeting when the persistent chat channel is between the meeting participants. Nor can new chat channels be created immediately using shared assets in the meeting. Thus, it is difficult to use shared documents, transcripts, recordings, etc. and have participants access them after the conference is over.
Accordingly, there is a need in the field of digital communication tools and platforms to create a new and useful system and method for dynamically sharing conference assets after a conference is completed.
The present invention overcomes existing problems by dynamically sharing meeting assets after a meeting, wherein a moderator is prompted to select to publish a meeting summary component containing access to meeting details and meeting assets to one or more existing message channels and/or new messaging channels. According to some embodiments, when the conference has ended, whether the conference is initiated or not, the host computer may recall details of the conference, such as subject matter, date and/or time, participants, chat logs, recorded links, files, and images of the electronic whiteboard (as applicable), and may have an opportunity to obtain chat channels for participants in the conference with a new chat channel and the same registered conference participant, or one or more existing chat channels. A notification will be provided to the host participant that the time window that will expire thereafter is predetermined if no action is taken.
In various embodiments, one or more assets uploaded during the meeting are automatically sent to one or more chat channels having an end-edition after the meeting, including, for example, documents, whiteboard images, and transcripts of the meeting.
Drawings
The present disclosure will become better understood from the detailed description and the accompanying drawings, wherein:
FIG. 1 is a diagram illustrating one example embodiment of a meeting summary component shared to a one-to-one chat, in accordance with some embodiments; and
fig. 2 is a flow diagram illustrating an exemplary method that may be performed in some embodiments.
Detailed Description
In the present specification, reference has been made in detail to specific embodiments of the invention. Some embodiments or aspects thereof are illustrated in the drawings.
For example, a user may wish to send content shared in a meeting to a one-to-one chat, a multi-user chat channel, or a particular channel, such as a file, whiteboard image, and transcript, after the meeting is over. After the moderator finishes the conference, the moderator can be prompted to send these assets shared in the conference to a one-to-one chat with another conference participant, to a multi-user chat channel with the conference participants, or to start a chat channel conference therein (i.e., as the user moves from chat to conference). In addition, at the end of the conference, after the conference summary card, i.e., the conference summary component, is displayed within the chat channel or one-to-one chats with: meeting date, meeting start time, meeting end time, and a list of meeting participants displaying a profile icon. The meeting summary card may also provide a way for users to access meeting assets by interacting with the card. In some cases, an administrator of the communications platform may have the ability to deploy the functionality to select a user account based on the configuration flag so that the administrator can conveniently test the functionality and provide some platform administrators with an opportunity to gradually select an account to initiate the functionality.
In one embodiment, the system and method provide a method for dynamically sharing meeting assets within a messaging platform. First, the system receives assets of one or more related conferences on the ground in a communication platform of an ongoing communication session, the assets of the present conference including details of the one or more conferences. Upon receiving notification of the termination of the communication session, the system generator seals a meeting summary component configured to be displayed within the message platform, the meeting summary component including at least a subset or a plurality of meeting assets. The system then determines that at least a subset of the participants are associated with the communication session if one or more existing messaging channels are based on the communication session also being participants in the messaging channel. The system sends a list prompting a primary participant of the communication session to publish the meeting summary component from the list of messaging channels to at least one of the messaging channels including any associated existing messaging channels and a channel associated with a new message with a participant of the communication session. The system receives a response from the host participant to the prompt on the floor, the response including one or more selected message channels. Finally, the system displays the meeting summary component to one or more selected messaging channels.
Figure 1 is a diagram illustrating one example embodiment of a meeting summary component shared to a one-to-one chat, in accordance with some embodiments. Participants, criss smith and elin ka, have existing one-to-one chat channels that they communicate in a conference until they are used. They then have a meeting between them. After the conference is finished, the tourmaline serving as the host receives the prompt from the communication platform, and the conference abstract card can be shared to one or more chat channels. The apen selects a one-to-one chat channel between the apen and criris as the channel she wants to share the card and selects a file named "agenda. After the Ailin responds to the prompt, the system generates a conference summary card which is displayed in the existing one-to-one chat between the Ailin and the Cris. Interface 100 shows a meeting summary card displayed in a one-to-one chat, as seen within a user device used in kris. The meeting summary card includes the meeting name, date, start and end times, participant list, and links to access shared assets, including recordings, transcript and agenda. Kris can interact with links to access these shared assets.
Fig. 2 is a flow diagram illustrating an exemplary method that may be performed in some embodiments.
In step 202, the system receives one or more meeting assets associated in a communication platform of an ongoing communication session with a floor, the meeting assets including at least one or more meeting details.
Upon receiving notification of the termination of the communication session, the system generator seals a meeting summary component configured to be displayed within the message platform, the meeting summary component including at least a subset of the assets of the one or more meetings, step 204.
In step 206, the system determines that if one or more existing messaging channels are associated with the communication session based on at least a subset of the participants for which the communication session is also a participant in a messaging channel.
At step 208, the system sends a list prompting a primary participant of the communication session to publish a meeting summary component from the list of messaging channels to at least one message channel, including any associated existing message channels and new message channels associated with the communication session participants.
At step 210, the system receives a response from the master participant, the response in response to the prompt including one or more selected message channels.
At step 212, the system displays the meeting summary component to one or more selected messaging channels.
