Abstract

The disclosure relates to a local area network local exchange control method and system, and a user plane functional network element. The local exchange control method of the local area network comprises the following steps: a user plane function network element configures a virtual network group of a local area network; in the process of establishing a protocol data unit session by a user terminal, a user plane functional network element judges whether the user terminal belongs to a virtual network group; and under the condition that the user terminal belongs to the virtual network group, the user plane function network element configures a forwarding rule according to the rule issued by the session management function network element and the rule of the 5G local area network, and performs data forwarding of local exchange of the local area network. Technical Field

Background
The 3gpp r16 defines new characteristics of a 5G LAN (Local Area Network). The 5G LAN can provide a Virtual Data Network for the client, and a group of terminals subscribing to the same slice and DNN (Data Network Name) is designated as a 5G VN (Virtual Network) group, and the terminals in the group can communicate through local switching or multiple ways based on N19 or N6.
Disclosure of Invention
The inventor discovers through research that: the 5G LAN has requirements for 5GC (5G core network) network elements including UDM (Unified Data Management network element), AMF (Access and Mobility Management Function network element Access and Mobility Management Function), SMF (Session Management Function network element), and UPF (User Plane Function network element), and if the 5G LAN service is implemented by deploying UPF in an industry client park, it is necessary to have upgrading and transforming requirements for a plurality of network elements of the public network, which affects the operation of the public network.
In view of at least one of the above technical problems, the present disclosure provides a local area network local switching control method and system, and a user plane function network element, which can control 5G LAN local switching through a single UPF.
According to an aspect of the present disclosure, there is provided a local area network local switching control method, including:
a user plane function network element configures a VN group of a local area network;
in the process of establishing a protocol data unit session by a User Equipment (UE), a User plane functional network element judges whether the UE belongs to a virtual network group;
and under the condition that the user terminal belongs to the virtual network group, the user plane functional network element performs local exchange data forwarding of the local area network according to the rules issued by the session management functional network element and the rules configuration forwarding rules of the 5G local area network.

The inventor finds that: the related art 3gpp R16 defines support for 5G LAN type services, and the 5G LAN can implement the following functions:

In view of at least one of the above technical problems, the present disclosure provides a local area network local exchange control method and system, a user plane function network element, and a storage medium, and the present disclosure is described below with specific embodiments.

In some embodiments of the disclosure, the disclosure may also implement the functionality in a standard manner: unicast (e.g., connection lines between UPF and UE1 and UE2, respectively), multicast/broadcast (e.g., connection lines between UPF and UE1, UE2, and UE3, respectively) may be performed within the VN group.
The local area network local exchange control system provided by the above embodiment of the present disclosure is to add configuration and control on a VN group on the basis that a park UPF supports a 5G LAN function in a standard, so that the UPF realizes the 5G LAN function completely without affecting other network elements.

In the 5G LAN technology currently defined by the related art, functionality enhancement needs to be performed on multiple network elements of the 5GC, and VN group update of a customer needs to be managed by depending on an operator network.
The embodiment of the disclosure provides a method and a system for controlling 5G LAN VN group communication by a single UPF, which realizes that the function of 5G LAN is realized only by UPF function enhancement, thereby facilitating the group management of the customer and avoiding the influence of upgrading on most network elements in the operator network.
The above-described embodiments of the present disclosure are described below by way of specific examples.
For the local area network local switching control system in the embodiment of fig. 2 of the present application, a customer deploys a UPF in a campus, and the UPF supports a standard 5G LAN function defined by 3 GPP. In addition, the customer can configure 2 VN groups on the UPF, respectively a production group and a detection group. For example, the DNN corresponding to the production group is product, S-NSSAI is 1001H, 3 UEs are defined in the group, and the DNN corresponds to the production machine 1, 2 or 3, and the DNN corresponds to the production machine M1@ product.c1.Com, the M2@ product.c1.Com, and the M3@ product.c1.Com. UE1, UE2, and UE3 in VN1 group 1 in fig. 2 correspond to production machines M1, M2, and M3, respectively. The UE needs to number and account for the operator's 5G network.
In the production process, M2 can carry out the next operation only by waiting for the M1 to send an instruction; if M1 generates alarm, it needs to send alarm information to M3 and inform M2 to suspend operation.

In the process of establishing the session, the SMF sends an establishment request message to the UPF, the USER ID carried in the message is the UE identification, and DNN and S-NSSAI are both sent to the UPF. UPF judges UE is member of production group according to USER ID, DNN and S-NSSAI, ignores rule required by SMF, and configures PDR and FAR unicast/multicast/broadcast rule according to 5G LAN requirement of 3GPP standard. In the subsequent production process, when the UPF receives the data packet of M1, the UPF judges whether the data packet is unicast or multicast, and then forwards the data packet according to the rule.
The above embodiments of the present disclosure may configure the VN group through the UPF; in the PDU session establishment process in the above embodiment of the present disclosure, the UPF determines whether the PDU belongs to the VN group, and configures a corresponding rule, thereby implementing a local exchange function under a 5G LAN single UPF.
Fig. 7 is a schematic diagram of some embodiments of a user plane functional network element according to the present disclosure. As shown in fig. 7, the user plane functional network element (e.g., UPF in the embodiment of fig. 2) of the present disclosure may include a virtual network group configuration module 71 and a local switching control module 72, where:

In some embodiments of the present disclosure, the local switching control module 72 may be configured to establish a message detection rule and a forwarding operation rule according to a rule issued by a session management function network element and a rule of a 5G local area network; and forwarding data in the virtual network group according to the message detection rule and the forwarding operation rule so as to realize the 5G local area network function by the user plane functional network element.
In some embodiments of the present disclosure, the local switching control module 72 may be configured for at least one of unicast, multicast, and broadcast data forwarding within the virtual network group.

The user plane function network element proposed by the above embodiment of the present disclosure is a basis for supporting a 5G LAN function in a standard for a campus UPF, and adds configuration and control on a VN group, so that the UPF realizes the 5G LAN function completely without affecting other network elements.
Fig. 8 is a schematic structural diagram of another embodiment of a user plane functional network element according to the present disclosure. As shown in fig. 8, the user plane functional network element comprises a memory 81 and a processor 82.

As shown in fig. 8, the user plane function network element further comprises a communication interface 83 for information interaction with other devices. The memory 81 may include a high-speed RAM memory, and may further include a non-volatile memory (e.g., at least one disk memory). The memory 81 may also be a memory array. The storage 81 may also be partitioned and the blocks may be combined into virtual volumes according to certain rules.
Further, the processor 82 may be a central processing unit CPU, or may be an application specific integrated circuit ASIC, or one or more integrated circuits configured to implement embodiments of the present disclosure.
Based on the user plane function network element provided by the embodiment of the disclosure, the local switching of the 5G LAN can be controlled through the single UPF, so that the management and communication of the VN group are simplified, the upgrading of a plurality of control network elements of the public network is avoided, the edge or campus UPF can be conveniently and quickly deployed, and the VN group is flexibly managed by a client.
The embodiments of the present disclosure are applicable to data forwarding in a local exchange manner between UEs in a VN group in a UPF.

It will be understood by those skilled in the art that all or part of the steps for implementing the above embodiments may be implemented by hardware, or may be implemented by a program instructing relevant hardware to implement the above embodiments, where the program may be stored in a non-transitory computer readable storage medium, and the above-mentioned storage medium may be a read-only memory, a magnetic or optical disk, and the like.

Claims (11)

1. A local area network local exchange control method is characterized by comprising the following steps:
a user plane function network element configures a virtual network group of a local area network;
in the process of establishing a protocol data unit session by a user terminal, a user plane functional network element judges whether the user terminal belongs to a virtual network group;
and under the condition that the user terminal belongs to the virtual network group, the user plane functional network element performs local exchange data forwarding of the local area network according to the rules issued by the session management functional network element and the rules configuration forwarding rules of the 5G local area network.
2. The local area network local exchange control method of claim 1, wherein the step of the user plane functional network element configuring the forwarding rule according to the rule issued by the session management functional network element and the rule of the 5G local area network, and the step of forwarding the data locally exchanged by the local area network comprises:
the user plane functional network element establishes a message detection rule and a forwarding operation rule according to a rule issued by the session management functional network element and a rule of the 5G local area network;
and the user plane functional network element performs data forwarding in the virtual network group according to the message detection rule and the forwarding operation rule so as to realize the 5G local area network function by the user plane functional network element.
3. The local area network local switching control method of claim 2, wherein the step of the user plane function network element forwarding data in the virtual network group according to the packet detection rule and the forwarding operation rule comprises:
and the user plane functional network element forwards at least one of unicast, multicast and broadcast data in the virtual network group.
4. The local area network local switching control method of any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the configuring of the virtual network group of the local area network by the user plane function network element comprises:
and configuring a group identifier, group members and group data of the virtual network group by the user plane function network element, wherein the group data comprises a data network name and single network slice selection auxiliary information.
5. The local area network local switching control method of claim 4, wherein the determining, by the user plane function network element, whether the ue belongs to the virtual network group includes:
a user plane functional network element receives an establishment request message sent by a session management functional unit, wherein the establishment request message comprises a user terminal identifier, a data network name and single network slice selection auxiliary information;
and the user plane function network element judges whether the user terminal is a member of the virtual network group according to the user terminal identification, the data network name and the single network slice selection auxiliary information so as to judge whether the user terminal belongs to the virtual network group.
6. Local area network local switching control method according to any of claims 1-4,
the local exchange control method of the local area network completely realizes the function of the 5G local area network by the user plane function network element.
7. A user plane functional network element, comprising:
the virtual network group configuration module is used for configuring a virtual network group of the local area network;
the local exchange control module is used for judging whether the user terminal belongs to a virtual network group or not in the process of establishing the protocol data unit session by the user terminal; and under the condition that the user terminal belongs to the virtual network group, configuring a forwarding rule according to a rule issued by the session management function network element and a rule of the 5G local area network, and forwarding data locally exchanged by the local area network.
8. The user plane functional network element of claim 7, wherein the user plane functional network element is configured to perform an operation for implementing the local area network local exchange control method according to any one of claims 1 to 6.
9. A user plane functional network element, comprising:
a memory to store instructions;
a processor configured to execute the instructions to cause the user plane function network element to perform operations to implement the local area network local switching control method according to any one of claims 1 to 6.
10. A local area network local switching control system, comprising a user plane functionality network element according to any of claims 7-9.
11. A non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing computer instructions which, when executed by a processor, implement the local area network local exchange control method of any one of claims 1-6.
