Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of communication network monitoring technologies, and in particular, to a method and a system for user packet monitoring based on a signaling plane.
Background
In the fifth generation (5rd generation,5G) network architecture, users initiate creation of a guaranteed bit rate traffic channel through AF (PDU session resource application function), for which some network managers want to count the throughput of users in the form of packets to achieve speed limiting operations on the user group. In this regard, as shown in fig. 6, in the conventional method, a target user is generally customized from pcf (policy control function) to form a user group, then a usage quota is allocated through a subscription service, and actions such as rate control are achieved by calculating the usage of the user group by pcf. However, for this, the resource consumption and data storage pressure of pcf is increased due to the need to associate each user with a service. In addition, if the AF wants to manage the business event groups of the users, the AF also needs to self-define and construct the user groups, and associate each user with an event, thereby increasing the resource consumption and the data storage pressure of the AF.
Disclosure of Invention
The invention aims to provide a method and a system for user grouping monitoring based on a signaling plane, which can reduce resource consumption and data storage pressure of a strategy control function and a PDU session resource application function in a communication system and can enable the strategy control function and the PDU session resource application function to acquire corresponding user group information.
In order to achieve the above object, the present invention discloses a method for monitoring user packets based on a signaling plane, which comprises:

Preferably, when the session management function reports the usage of the user network signal, the policy control function performs public usage statistics on users with the same value in the feature field, and initiates a policy control update notification service to the session management function through the policy control function, so as to implement traffic speed limiting or offline operation on the subscription event user group.
Preferably, the policy control function initiates a policy control update notification service to the session management function and initiates a policy authentication notification service to the PDU session resource application function through the policy control function.

Detailed Description
In order to describe the technical content, the constructional features, the achieved objects and effects of the present invention in detail, the following description is made in connection with the embodiments and the accompanying drawings.
The embodiment discloses a method for monitoring user groups based on a signaling plane, which is used for a core network in a wireless communication system, wherein the wireless communication system can be a 5G system or other communication systems compatible with the 5G system. Taking a 5G system as an example, the network elements and service modules of the 5GC (core network) in this embodiment are as follows:
1. a policy control function (Policy Control Function), abbreviated as PCF, provides a policy-based decision mechanism and FLOW-based charging function for a standard 5GC network element;
2. session management function (Session Management Function), abbreviated as SMF, responsible for tunnel maintenance, IP address allocation and management, UPF selection, policy enforcement and control in QoS, charging data collection, roaming, etc.;
3. an access and mobility management function (Access and Mobility Management Function), abbreviated as AMF, performing registration, connection, reachability, mobility management; providing a session management message transmission channel for UE and SMF, providing authentication and authentication functions for user access, and providing a terminal and a wireless core network control plane access point;
4. PDU session resource application function (Application Function), AF for short, refers to various services of the application layer, and can be applications inside operators such As Volte AF (Volte As like 4G), AF of third parties (such As video server and game server);

s4: and the PCF associates a plurality of users with the same characteristic field value according to the received registration request information to form a subscription event user group.
Specifically, based on the above method, the flow of performing user packet monitoring by the 5GC is:

s12: when the SMF receives the smpolicy decision from the PCF, the SMF may take appropriate action to reconfigure the user plane functions of the PDU session.
Secondly, AF applies to PCF to monitor subscription to corresponding session through operating Npcf_policy authorization_Subscribe, AF sends EventsSubscReqData to PCF, and initiates subscription to a certain event. In the 5GC communication protocol, the data definition type of eventsssubscnreqdata is shown in table 1 below, where "eventGroupId" is a feature field.

Then, based on the configuration of the feature field eventGroupId, when the user needs to be monitored in a grouping way, the PCF does not need to associate the user group with the service again by self-defining, and the PCF directly associates the eventGroupId with the service, and the AF associates the eventGroupId with the event.
Finally, the PCF notifies the AF of the corresponding subscription event, that is, after the PCF receives the event subscription initiated by the AF, initiates an npcf_policy_notification action, sends EventsNotification data to the AF, notifies the AF of the monitoring message of the event corresponding to the AF, and in the communication protocol of 5GC, the data definition type of the EventsNotification is shown in table 2 below.

More specifically, as shown in fig. 3, when the SMF reports the usage of the user network signal, the PCF performs public usage statistics on the users with the same value of the feature field, and initiates a policy control update notification service to the SMF through the PCF, so as to implement traffic speed limit or offline operation on the subscription event user group, thereby implementing traffic monitoring on the target user group.
In addition, when the PCF initiates the policy control update notification service to the session management function SMF, the PCF can also initiate the policy authentication notification service to the AF. When AF receives notification event data EventsNotification reported by PCF, reporting condition of corresponding packet event is known by EventGroupID, and public usage of current packet users is counted according to usgrep data (inherent content in 5GC communication protocol) in EventsNotification, and whether to update or terminate flow channel for users in user group is determined.
Alternatively, as in tables 1 and 2, the data type of the feature field is a character string.
According to the method, the feature field representing the unique identity of the user is configured in the registration request information and is associated with the service and the event, so that PCF and AF in the core network do not need to self-define and construct a user group when the user is required to be monitored, and only need to carry the corresponding feature field when the AF initiates the establishment of a flow channel each time, thereby effectively reducing the operation times of maintenance personnel; in addition, the resource storage consumption of PCF and AF can be effectively reduced, the storage of data volume in a server is greatly reduced, the logic judgment flow is simplified, the signaling processing speed is accelerated, and the method is more suitable for high-capacity and high-concurrency scenes.
In another preferred embodiment of the present invention, a system for monitoring user packets based on a signaling plane is also disclosed, which includes:
the flow channel establishing module is used for establishing a flow channel which is connected between the terminal and the core network and ensures bit rate based on PDU session resource application function according to PDU session reconstruction flow information initiated by the terminal;
a session subscription module, configured to apply a session monitoring subscription to a policy control function based on the PDU session resource application function operation policy authentication subscription service, and send registration request information to the policy control function;
