Description

Production method of pet toy
Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of toy production, in particular to a production method of a pet toy.
Background
Dog toys are a very popular product category in the pet toy category, and dog toys are toys that pet owners interact with dogs to exercise the natural chewing ability of dogs. Dog toys fall into several unique forms, including plush (for rumination and destruction), usually of polyester material or imitation fabric, polyester fabric, rope (for towing) usually consisting of cotton fabric, ball (for grasping) made of molded rubber filled with polyester material, chew toys (for chewing) usually made of nylon, rubber or polyurethane material. Durability is a challenge for most dog toys, which are quickly destroyed when the dog plays with and chews on them. In addition to requiring exercise, dogs have an inherent desire to chew. This chewing helps the dog release energy, relieves anxiety, helps clean teeth, keeps the dog busy, and inhibits destructive behavior because many dogs will eventually chew furniture and other household items if not provided with the proper food. This need, combined with the fact that most dog toys are rapidly destroyed, has led to the birth of dog toys that are specifically designed for chewing. These toys are harder and more durable than others, requiring different materials to ensure that they last for a sufficient time for the consumer and meet the natural chewing instincts of the dog.
Almost all of the products of the above dog bite type toys of the prior art are manufactured by injection molding of plastic to form them into a specific shape suitable for chewing. The materials of polymers range from nylon to rubber to polyurethane and silicone, but regardless of the material, these polymers are almost formed by heating the material to a malleable state and injecting into a mold cavity.
However, injection molds are very expensive, the cost of a single shape and size mold is high, and in addition to the up-front cost of the mold and machine, injection molding for dog-bite toys has a long manufacturing cycle compared to other types of manufacturing, where the mold has only a certain number of cavities, allowing you to produce only a small number of products in a cycle (the time required for cavity filling, cooling, mold opening, and product ejection), which can result in large manufacturing costs. This also limits mass production and therefore the only way to overcome this limitation is to purchase a large number of machines and moulds, but this again increases production costs.
Thus, the prior art is in need of improvement.

Almost all products of the prior art dog biting toys are made by injection molding plastic to form a particular shape suitable for chewing. The materials of polymers range from nylon to rubber to polyurethane and silicone, but regardless of the material, these polymers are almost molded by heating the material to a malleable state and injecting into the mold cavity.
However, injection molding is very expensive, the cost of a single shape and size mold is high, and in addition to the up-front cost of the mold and machine, injection molding has a long manufacturing cycle for dog biting toys compared to other types of manufacturing, where the mold has only a certain number of cavities, allowing you to produce only a small number of products in a cycle (the time required for cavity filling, cooling, mold opening, and product ejection), which can result in large manufacturing costs. This also limits mass production and therefore the only way to overcome this limitation is to purchase a large number of machines and moulds, but this again increases production costs.
Based on this, the present application intends to provide a solution to the above technical problem, the details of which will be explained in the following embodiments.
Referring to fig. 1, fig. 1 is a flowchart illustrating a method for manufacturing a pet toy according to a first embodiment of the present invention. Prior to an embodiment of the present invention, the method comprises the steps of:
s100, processing a material to be produced into a plastic state, and conveying the material to an extrusion molding device;
in particular, since pet toys are generally made of non-metallic materials, so as to be able to manufacture structures with more complex shapes, adapted to different needs, optionally the types of material to be produced include: nylon, polypropylene or high density polyethylene; the materials have good shaping, are easy to process into a plastic state, and are convenient for subsequent shaping. Of course, other plastics can be used for the material to be produced, and the invention is not limited in any way. In addition, the material to be produced can be softened into a plastic state by adopting a heating mode, and the specific heating device is not limited; after the material to be produced has been processed to a plastic state, it is conveyed to an extrusion device in preparation for further extrusion.
S200, extruding the material in a plastic state into a semi-finished product with continuous and consistent cross section through a die head by an extrusion molding device;
specifically, the extrusion device is used for extruding the material in a plastic state, and the die head is used for limiting the shape during extrusion. After the material of plastic state was all carried to extrusion molding device, start extrusion molding device, make its material with plastic state all extrude through the die head, and extrusion molding device extrudes in succession during extruding, owing to set up the die head when extruding, consequently can be stereotyped by the shape of die head when the material of plastic state passes through the die head. In addition, since the extrusion device is in a state of continuous extrusion, a semi-finished product with a continuous and consistent cross section can be extruded through the die head. Optionally, the die head is made of metal, and because the material extruded from the extrusion molding device has high temperature, the die head can be prevented from deforming by using the high-temperature-resistant metal, and the shape of the extruded semi-finished product is ensured not to deviate.
In one embodiment of the invention, the cross-section of the die is circular, square, rectangular, quincunx or star shaped.
For example, please refer to fig. 3-5. The cross-section of the die head may be arranged in a quincunx shape, and the pet toy 10 having a quincunx cross-section may be extruded through the die head. And the center of pet toy 10 may form a padded area 20 to facilitate filling of the pet with edible padding after or during manufacturing. Of course, the shape of the cross section of the die head is only an example, and the specific shape of the die head may be selected according to actual use requirements, which is not described in detail in the present invention.
It is worth mentioning that the number of the die heads can be one or more, when the die heads are multiple, the multiple die heads are all arranged on the extrusion molding device, and the shapes of the die heads can be different, so that semi-finished products with different sections can be extruded simultaneously, and the requirement of mass production is met.
S300, cooling and forming the semi-finished product with the continuously consistent cross section into a pet toy with a preset shape through a cooling device;
specifically, after a semi-finished product with a continuous and consistent cross section is extruded through a die head, the semi-finished product needs to be rapidly cooled so as to facilitate subsequent finished product manufacturing. Therefore, the semi-finished product can be effectively cooled by adopting the cooling device so as to be shaped. In practical use, the cooling device is arranged at the outlet of the die head, so that semi-finished products can be cooled timely, and the pet toy with a preset shape can be quickly formed.
Optionally, the cooling device is an air cooling device or a liquid cooling device. For example, the cooling device adopts a liquid cooling device, a water tank is arranged at the outlet of the die head, and the semi-finished product after extrusion is rapidly cooled by spraying water; or a cooling pipeline is arranged at the outlet of the die head, the semi-finished product enters the cooling pipeline after being extruded, and the semi-finished product in the cooling pipeline is cooled by an air cooling device.
In a particular embodiment, when it is desired to produce a pet toy, the material to be produced is processed into a plastic state and conveyed to an extrusion device; extruding the material in a plastic state into a semi-finished product with continuous and consistent section through a die head by an extrusion molding device; and cooling and molding the semi-finished product with the continuous and consistent section into the pet toy with the preset shape through a cooling device. The semi-finished product with continuous and consistent cross section is extruded by an extrusion molding device through a die head; and then the semi-finished product with continuous and consistent cross section is cooled and molded into the pet toy with a preset shape through the cooling device. Avoids using high-cost injection molds, can continuously extrude, eliminates the time and period of traditional injection molding, greatly reduces the production cost of the pet toy, and improves the production efficiency of the pet toy.
For example, referring to fig. 2, fig. 2 is a flowchart illustrating a method for manufacturing a pet toy according to a second embodiment of the present invention. Still include after cooling the shaping for the pet toy of predetermineeing the shape with the continuous unanimous semi-manufactured goods in cross-section through cooling device:
s400, cutting the cooled and formed pet toy according to a preset length.
Specifically, the pet toy with the preset shape after being cooled by the cooling device needs to be cut into a finished toy. Wherein, need cut according to required predetermined length, for example 20 centimeters length cutting once, then guarantee the specification uniformity of the finished product toy of cutting at every turn, also be convenient for mass production simultaneously. Alternatively, a cutting device may be used to cut a pre-shaped pet toy, it being understood that the invention is not limited to a particular cutting device.
Illustratively, before the material in a plastic state is extruded into a semi-finished product with a continuous and consistent cross section through the die head by the extrusion device, the method further comprises the following steps:
101. installing a die head on the extrusion molding device;
specifically, the die head is used for extruding the material in a plastic state into a semi-finished product with a continuous and consistent section through the die head, so that the die heads with different cross sections can be selected according to the shape of a required toy when the die head is installed, and different numbers of die heads can be installed according to the number required to be extruded.
Exemplary processing of the material to be produced into a plastic state specifically comprises:
s110, placing a material to be produced in a heating device;
and S120, softening the material to be produced into a plastic state through a heating device.
In the embodiment of the present invention, the material to be produced (for example, nylon, polypropylene or high-density polyethylene, which has good moldability and is easily processed into a moldable state to facilitate subsequent molding) is placed in the heating device, and the heating temperature (specifically, related to the melting point of the material and the hardness of the material) is set according to the kind of the material to be placed. And then heated by a heating device to soften the plastic material into a plastic state. It is to be understood that the invention is not limited to a particular heating device; after the material to be produced has been processed to a plastic state, it is conveyed to an extrusion device in preparation for further extrusion.
Further, the extrusion of the plastic material through the die head by the extrusion device into a semi-finished product with a continuous and consistent cross section specifically comprises:
s210, setting the extrusion pressure of an extrusion molding device according to the softening degree of the material in a plastic state;
s220, continuously extruding the material in a plastic state through a die head by an extrusion molding device according to set extrusion pressure to obtain a semi-finished product with a continuous and consistent cross section;
in the embodiment of the invention, the extrusion pressure of the extrusion device is set according to the softening degree of the material in a plastic state; for example, if the softening degree of the material in the plastic state is not high, a slightly higher extrusion pressure is set, so that the material in the plastic state can be extruded better during extrusion; when the softening degree of the material in the plastic state is higher, a slightly lower extrusion pressure is set, and the material in the plastic state is prevented from being extruded and sprayed. After the extrusion pressure is set, the plastic material is extruded continuously through the die head by an extrusion molding device according to the set extrusion pressure to form a semi-finished product with continuous and consistent cross section.
Illustratively, the step of cooling and forming the semi-finished product with a continuous and consistent cross section into a pet toy with a preset shape by the cooling device specifically comprises:
s310, arranging a cooling device at an outlet of the die head, and presetting a cooling temperature value in the cooling device;
specifically, after a semi-finished product with a continuous and consistent cross section is extruded through a die head, the semi-finished product needs to be rapidly cooled so as to facilitate the subsequent production of a finished product. Thus, an air or liquid cooling device is installed at the outlet of the die to cool the semifinished product and to shape it. The cooling device is arranged at the outlet of the die head, so that the semi-finished product can be rapidly cooled and hardened in time.
S320, starting a cooling device and continuously cooling an outlet of the die head so as to extrude the semi-finished product with continuously consistent cross section out of the die head and then cooling and forming the semi-finished product into a preset shape;
in particular, because the extrusion device is in a continuous extrusion state, the cooling device also needs to be continuously turned on to maintain continuous cooling at the die exit. Wherein, the cooling device can be arranged in a long groove shape or a long pipeline shape, so that a longer cooling path can be provided, and the cooling forming of the semi-finished product is ensured.
The following describes the production method of the pet toy in detail with reference to specific use scenarios:
in a first step, a material to be produced (for example, nylon, polypropylene or high-density polyethylene) is placed in a heating device, and a heating temperature (specifically, related to a melting point of the material and hardness of the material) is set according to the type of the material placed. And then heated by a heating device to be softened into a plastic state. After the material to be produced has been processed to a plastic state, it is conveyed to an extrusion device in preparation for further extrusion.
Secondly, setting the extrusion pressure of the extrusion molding device according to the softening degree of the material in a plastic state; for example, if the softening degree of the material in a plastic state is not high, a slightly higher extrusion pressure is set, so that the material in the plastic state can be extruded better during extrusion; when the softening degree of the material in the plastic state is higher, a slightly lower extrusion pressure is set, and the material in the plastic state is prevented from being extruded and sprayed. After the extrusion pressure is set, the plastic material is extruded continuously through the die head by an extrusion molding device according to the set extrusion pressure to form a semi-finished product with continuous and consistent cross section.
And thirdly, after the semi-finished product with continuous and consistent cross section is extruded by the die head, the semi-finished product needs to be rapidly cooled so as to facilitate the subsequent manufacture of the finished product. Thus, an air or liquid cooling device is installed at the outlet of the die to cool the semifinished product and to shape it. The cooling device is arranged at the outlet of the die head, so that the semi-finished product can be rapidly cooled and hardened in time. Starting a cooling device and continuously cooling the outlet of the die head so as to extrude the semi-finished product with continuous and consistent cross section out of the die head and then cooling and forming the semi-finished product into a preset shape; wherein, the cooling device can be arranged in a long groove shape or a long pipeline shape, so that a longer cooling path can be provided, and the cooling forming of the semi-finished product is ensured.
And fourthly, cutting the pet toy in the preset shape after being cooled by the cooling device into a finished toy through a cutting device. Wherein, need cut according to required predetermined length, for example 20 centimeters length cutting once, then guarantee the specification uniformity of the finished product toy of cutting at every turn, also be convenient for mass production simultaneously.
In summary, the present invention provides a method for producing a pet toy, comprising: processing the material to be produced into a plastic state and conveying the plastic state into an extrusion molding device; extruding the material in a plastic state into a semi-finished product with continuous and consistent section through a die head by an extrusion molding device; and cooling and molding the semi-finished product with the continuous and consistent section into a pet toy with a preset shape by a cooling device.
