In particular, in a seawater cooling system, an independent sea chest is generally adopted as a main machine, the cooling water amount is large, the pumping height of a machine belt pump is limited, and a plurality of spaces are occupied by auxiliary valves, filters, pipelines and the like, so that reasonable equipment arrangement and system simplification are realized, and necessary equipment customization is particularly important.
The seawater filter is arranged behind the sea valve and used for filtering impurities in seawater and ensuring safe and reliable operation of equipment such as a diesel engine. The water inlet and the water outlet of a traditional seawater filter are both located on the side face of the filter body, the inlet and the outlet of the traditional seawater filter are connected with a seawater pipeline through flanges, direction change needs to be achieved from a sea chest door to an inlet through a bent pipe, the occupied horizontal direction space is large, and the arrangement difficulty of an engine room is increased. As shown in figure 1, the seawater filter comprises a filter body 1, a cylindrical filter screen 2, a water inlet 3 and a water outlet 4. The filter body 1 comprises a cover plate 1-1, sealing filler 1-2, a filter screen mounting seat ring 1-3 and a bleeder plug 1-4. The cylindrical filter screen 2 is coaxial with the filter body 1, the mounting flange 2-1 and the filter screen mounting seat ring 1-3 are fixed through screws, and the sealing filler 1-2 can ensure sealing. The water inlet 3 is vertically arranged at the bottom of the filter body, is communicated with the lower end opening of the cylindrical filter screen and is connected with a sea-going butterfly valve of a sea chest through a flange 3-1, the water outlet 4 is vertically arranged on the side wall of the filter, and an anti-drop convex shoulder 4-1 is arranged at a proper distance from the edge of the water outlet. The water outlet side of the filter body 1 is provided with a compressed air blow-washing pipe, and the cylindrical filter screen 2 is blown and washed by compressed air.

The water inlet 3 is connected with a sea pipeline through a flange 3-1, preferably directly connected with a sea butterfly valve, and the occupied space of the sea pipeline is reduced.
The diameter of the water outlet 4 is matched with that of a hose of a cooling water inlet of the host machine, the central line of the hose is positioned on the same horizontal plane with that of the cooling water inlet of the host machine, and an anti-falling convex shoulder 4-1 is arranged and can be directly connected with a hose clamp of the cooling water inlet of the host machine.
Seawater first flows into a cylindrical screen 2 installed inside the strainer body 1 from a water inlet 3, then fills the strainer body 1, and finally flows out from a water outlet 4. In the process, seawater flows through the cylindrical filter screen to effectively filter impurities such as silt, marine life and the like, after the main engine stops running, part of impurities fall into the sea chest through the water inlet 3 under the action of self gravity and finally flow out of the ship body, and part of impurities attached to the cylindrical filter screen 2 can be periodically blown off by the compressed air blowing and washing pipe arranged inside the filter body 1.
