The invention discloses a system and a method for optimizing the preview of a turnover camera based on an intelligent terminal, wherein an intelligent terminal body is used for displaying an image shot by a turnover camera module to form a preview picture when a user opens the turnover camera module, automatically pausing the display of the preview picture when a turnover state detection module detects that the turnover camera module has a turnover event, and restarting the display of the preview picture after the turnover camera module stops turnover; the turnover camera module is arranged on the turnover state detection module and used for acquiring the turnover state parameters of the turnover camera module and judging whether a turnover event occurs to the turnover camera module or not by the intelligent terminal main body.
