Detailed Description
The technical solutions in the embodiments of the present application will be clearly and completely described below with reference to the drawings in the embodiments of the present application, and it is obvious that the described embodiments are only a part of the embodiments of the present application, and not all of the embodiments. All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments given herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present application.
At present, a thick backup volume is a common type in a block storage service scene, if a storage system is suddenly abnormal in a process of creating the thick backup volume, the thick backup volume is failed to be created, and the created thick backup volume cannot be used and occupies a part of storage space, so that the storage space of the system is wasted. Therefore, the thick standby volume processing scheme is provided, so that the abnormal thick standby volume caused by system abnormality can continue to complete the creation process after the system is recovered, and the storage space of the system is prevented from being occupied by the abnormal thick standby volume.
Referring to fig. 1, an embodiment of the present application discloses a thick backup roll processing method, including:
s101, if the storage cluster is recovered after failure, inquiring a target thick backup volume with unfinished state information in the storage cluster; wherein the incomplete state information is added to the target thick backup volume when the creation of the target thick backup volume is started.
The embodiment aims to enable an abnormal thick backup volume caused by storage cluster abnormality to continue to complete the creation process of the abnormal thick backup volume after a storage cluster is recovered, and therefore when a certain thick backup volume is created, incomplete state information is added to the thick backup volume, if the storage cluster is recovered after failure in the creation process of the thick backup volume, the thick backup volume needing to continue to create the process can be queried based on the incomplete state information, so that the creation process of the thick backup volume can be continued.
S102, determining the size of the space to be formatted of the target thick backup volume based on the volume name and the total volume space size of the target thick backup volume.
It should be noted that, when creating a thick backup volume, the locations of the storage areas corresponding to the thick backup volume are determined. In the block storage service, the sizes of the storage areas corresponding to one thick backup volume are the same, and the storage areas can be regarded as objects with fixed sizes. If each storage area corresponding to one thick backup volume is full of data, the thick backup volume may be considered to include a plurality of data objects. Thus, creating a thick provisioning volume is: respective storage areas corresponding to the thick backup volumes are prepared. Each storage area corresponding to the thick backup volume is allocated by the storage cluster, and when a certain storage area is allocated to a certain thick backup volume, the storage area needs to be formatted. From this perspective, creating a thick standby volume is: the individual storage areas allocated to the thick provisioning volume are formatted, so creating the thick provisioning volume can also be viewed as formatting of storage space.
Generally, when a thick backup volume is created, the total space size of the volume is known, and the current block storage service also specifies the unit object size (i.e. the space size of an object), so that after the thick backup volume creation process is interrupted due to a storage cluster failure, it is possible to determine how many objects remain to be created by querying objects created before the storage cluster failure, and accordingly determine the interruption point of the thick backup volume creation process, so as to create the thick backup volume continuously.
In one embodiment, determining the size of the space to be formatted of the target thick backup volume based on the volume name and the total volume space size of the target thick backup volume includes: and determining the number of the objects which are not created of the target thick backup volume based on the volume name and the total volume space size, and calculating the size of the space to be formatted according to the number of the objects which are not created. The method comprises the following steps of determining the number of objects which are not created of a target thick backup volume based on a volume name and the total volume space size, and calculating the size of a space to be formatted according to the number of the objects which are not created, wherein the steps are as shown in figure 2: (1) Calculating the total number of objects of the target thick backup volume according to the total volume space size and the unit object size; (2) Inquiring the created objects of the target thick backup volume based on the volume name, and counting the number of the created objects; (3) Determining the difference value between the total number of the objects and the number of the created objects as the number of the objects which are not created; (4) And determining the product of the number of the objects which are not created and the unit object size as the size of the space to be formatted.
In one embodiment, determining the size of the space to be formatted of the target thick backup volume based on the volume name and the total volume space size of the target thick backup volume includes: and determining the size of the formatted space of the target thick backup volume based on the volume name and the total volume space size, and calculating the size of the space to be formatted according to the size of the formatted space. The method comprises the following steps of determining the size of a formatted space of a target thick backup volume based on a volume name and the size of a total volume space, and calculating the size of a space to be formatted according to the size of the formatted space, wherein the following steps are implemented as shown in FIG. 3: (1) Inquiring the created objects of the target thick backup volume based on the volume name, and counting the number of the created objects; (2) Determining the product of the number of the created objects and the size of the unit object as the size of the formatted space; (3) And determining the difference between the total space size of the volume and the formatted space size as the size of the space to be formatted.
S103, if the size of the space to be formatted meets the current available capacity of the storage cluster, continuing the formatting operation of the target thick backup volume according to the size of the space to be formatted.
Generally, when a thick backup volume is initially created, the total space of the volume also needs to be compared with the currently available capacity of the storage cluster, so that it can be determined whether the current storage cluster can accommodate the thick backup volume to be created. Then, when the storage cluster recovers after a failure, the size of the space to be formatted of the thick backup volume that continues to be created in the process needs to be compared with the size of the current available capacity of the storage cluster, so as to determine whether the remaining space of the current storage cluster can complete the creation process of the thick backup volume.
Since creating a thick backup volume can also be viewed as formatting of storage space, in one embodiment, continuing the formatting operation of the target thick backup volume according to the size of the space to be formatted includes: and carrying out formatting operation on the corresponding space of the non-created object of the target thick backup volume according to the size of the space to be formatted, so as to complete the creation of the non-created object. And when the corresponding space of one non-created object completes the formatting operation, the non-created object is considered to be completely created.
In one embodiment, if the formatting operation of the target thick backup volume is completed, the unfinished state information of the target thick backup volume is modified into the finished state information, or the unfinished state information of the target thick backup volume is deleted. When the thick backup volume is created in the storage cluster, incomplete state information is added to the corresponding thick backup volume, and after the creation of the corresponding thick backup volume is completed, the incomplete state information of the thick backup volume is modified into completed state information or the incomplete state information of the thick backup volume is deleted. Wherein the incomplete state information may also be added for the corresponding thick provisioning volume when the thick provisioning volume formatting process is interrupted.
It can be seen that, in this embodiment, when starting to create a target thick backup volume, adding incomplete state information to the target thick backup volume, so that in a case of recovery after a storage cluster failure occurs, a target thick backup volume with the incomplete state information may be queried in the storage cluster, and then, a size of a space to be formatted of the target thick backup volume may be determined based on a volume name of the target thick backup volume and a total volume space size of the storage cluster, and in a case that the size of the space to be formatted satisfies a current available capacity of the storage cluster, a formatting operation of the target thick backup volume may be continued according to the size of the space to be formatted, so that an abnormal thick backup volume caused by a system abnormality may continue to complete a creation process thereof, and a system storage space is prevented from being occupied by the abnormal thick backup volume, and therefore, the system storage space may be saved.
The embodiment provides another processing method for a thick backup roll in an incomplete formatting scene, which includes: after the storage cluster is recovered from the fault, a Block storage Device (rbos Block Device, RBD) in the cluster acquires a fault recovery message, then queries a target thick backup volume with incomplete state information, then acquires basic attribute information (name, size, and the like) of the target thick backup volume, and sequentially queries objects corresponding to the target thick backup volume according to an object sequence. And calculating the formatted space size based on all the searched objects, and then calculating the difference value between the total space size of the volume and the formatted space size to obtain the unformatted space size. Judging whether the size of the unformatted space meets the current available capacity of the storage pool or not; if yes, formatting the unformatted space; otherwise, prompting that the current available capacity is insufficient, and deleting the target thick backup volume at the moment, namely: and releasing the space occupied by the target thick standby volume to save storage resources.
Therefore, the problem that the thick standby volume cannot be normally used due to the fact that the formatting interruption enters the abnormal state can be solved. After the cluster is recovered to be normal, inquiring the corresponding thick backup volume based on the formatting uncompleted state (namely the uncompleted state information), acquiring the basic attribute information of the volume, and finally realizing the continuous formatting of the unformatted space according to the size of the determined residual unformatted space, so that the thick backup volume can be normally used by a user.
