Description

Assembly for packaging and dispensing a fluid product, in particular a cosmetic product
The present invention relates to an assembly for packaging and dispensing fluid compositions.
More particularly, the invention relates to an assembly for packaging and dispensing (in particular by means of a pipette) a fluid cosmetic product intended to be delivered in dosage form.
A "cosmetic product" is understood to be a product as defined in regulation No. 1223/2009 (EC) of european meeting and council on cosmetic products, 11/30 th 2009, 2009.
By way of non-limiting example only, the fluid product may be a skin care serum or any other cosmetic product for which precise amounts of fluid must be applied. The fluid product may also be a product for therapeutic use, a food product or any other fluid product.
Document KR 20120044765-a discloses a system for packaging and dispensing fluid products comprising a container containing a cosmetic product, a cap for the container, screwed onto the neck of the container and provided with an aperture for receiving a syringe. The syringe comprises a hollow syringe tube immersed in a container and a piston rod sliding inside said tube. The piston rod comprises at one of its ends a cylindrical rubber seal, the outer surface of which is in radial contact with the inner surface of the syringe.
However, the use of rubber seals does not ensure proper sealing of the syringe and has a particularly short service life.
There are also automatic draw tube systems that include a button configured to draw fluid. In this respect reference may be made to document US 9 234 781.
However, such mechanical and automatic action for extracting the product does not guarantee the ease of use of the system.
Accordingly, there is a need for improved assemblies for packaging and dispensing fluid products.
The object of the present invention is therefore to overcome the drawbacks of the systems described above and to propose an assembly for packaging and dispensing fluid products, comprising means for extracting and dispensing the product, which means exhibit a better seal and improved ease of use.
The present invention relates to an assembly for packaging and dispensing a fluid product, in particular a cosmetic product, comprising:
-a reservoir defining an internal volume intended to contain a fluid product and comprising an opening for accessing said internal volume; and
-means for extracting and dispensing the product, mounted on the reservoir and closing the opening of said reservoir.
The means for extracting and dispensing the product comprises:
-an aspiration tube or pipette mounted in the opening of the reservoir, extending into the internal volume and delimiting an open-ended inner conduit; and
a member for actuating the product extraction, or a piston, provided with a piston rod which is movable in translation in the inner duct of the extraction duct between an extraction position and at least one quantity of position for expelling the product contained in the inner volume. The actuation member further comprises a sealing end piece mounted at the lower end of the piston rod.
The sealing end piece comprises a first annular sealing member extending from the outer surface of the end piece in a first direction towards and in contact with the inner duct of the extraction duct, and a second annular sealing member extending from the outer surface of the end piece in a second direction towards and in contact with the inner duct of the extraction duct. The first direction is opposite the second direction and the first seal member extends radially beyond the second seal member in a free state of the seal end piece.
A first annular sealing member extends from the free lower end of the end piece in a first direction towards the inner duct of the extraction duct, and a second annular sealing member extends from the free lower end of said end piece in a second direction towards the inner duct of the extraction duct.
The seal end member is separate from the piston rod.
The term "free state" means an uninstalled state of the sealing end piece in the interior of the extraction tube.
In other words, in the free state, the length of the first sealing member of the sealing end part is greater than the length of the second sealing member.
Thus, the end piece includes two sealing members that are asymmetric with respect to a plane passing through the axial axis and the longitudinal axis. The first sealing means makes it possible to ensure that the inner duct of the extraction duct is sealed, while the second sealing means makes it possible to guide the end piece and thus the means for actuating the extraction in the interior of said extraction duct. The second sealing means also make it possible to ensure ease of use during the installation of the means for actuating the extraction of the product, or of the piston (in particular during the loading of a dose of product inside said piston), which is not the case with the prior art devices having only one sealing lip. In these devices, the product does not rise smoothly in the piston, but rather jerkily.
The end piece with two sealing members makes it possible to ensure that the extraction duct is sealed and that the member for actuating the extraction is moved smoothly in translation in said duct (in particular in the extraction direction and in the product dispensing direction). Thus, the means for actuating the extraction do not have jerks in the movement inside the extraction duct.
Such an end piece also makes it possible to have two sealing members exhibiting different tightness of sealing.
Advantageously, in the free state of the end piece, the outer diameter of the first sealing member is greater than the inner diameter of the inner duct of the extraction duct by a first distance or a first clearance, and the outer diameter of the second sealing member is greater than the inner diameter of the inner duct of the extraction duct by a second distance or a second clearance. The first gap is greater than the second gap.
For example, the first radial gap is between 0.125mm and 0.025mm, for example between 0.115mm and 0.035mm, for example equal to 0.08mm, and the second radial gap is between 0.005mm and 0.095mm, for example between 0.005mm and 0.06mm, and for example less than or equal to 0.05mm, for example equal to 0.02mm. In all cases, the first gap is greater than the second gap.
The sealing member is resiliently deformable such that during installation in the inner conduit of the extraction duct, the member deforms to make sealing contact with the inner conduit.
The expression "elastically deformable" means that any member, by its shape or material, is capable of being elastically deformed under the action of an applied load (for example, during insertion of the extraction duct).
For example, the seal end member extends along a height axis. The first direction of the first seal member is at a first angle to the height axis and the second direction of the second seal member is at a second angle to the height axis.
The first angle may be between-15 ° and-25 °, for example equal to-20 °. The second angle may be between 15 ° and 25 °, for example equal to 20 °.
According to one embodiment, the piston rod comprises a body having a cylindrical overall shape, which extends along a vertical axis and delimits an inner conduit which opens at an open lower end into the inner conduit of the extraction tube, wherein the sealing end piece is mounted in the inner conduit of the piston rod.
For example, the sealing end piece comprises a mounting portion mounted in the inner conduit of the piston rod and comprising an outer diameter substantially equal to the inner diameter of said inner conduit. The sealing end piece comprises on its outer surface at least one fixing element, for example an annular projection, for example two in number, intended to cooperate with a corresponding groove provided on the inner surface of the piston rod.
Thus, the end piece is fixed to the lower end of the piston rod.
For example, the sealing end piece comprises a sealing portion extending in the inner conduit of the extractor tube from the mounting portion towards the lower end of the extractor tube, said sealing portion having a diameter larger than the diameter of the mounting portion and forming a shoulder in axial contact with the open lower end of the piston rod.
According to one embodiment, the means for actuating the extraction of the product further comprise an actuation head fixed (e.g. fastened by clamping) at the opposite end to the open lower end to the upper end of the piston rod, said actuation head allowing the movement of the means to be actuated manually to actuate the extraction in the extraction duct.
Advantageously, the means for actuating the product extraction have a stroke of at least 24 mm.
The term "stroke" means the maximum distance covered by the actuating member in the extraction duct.
The end piece is made, for example, of a plastic material, for example, of a polymer, such as Polyethylene (PE), by the name
Figure BDA0003880346330000041
Known as Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE), or by name
Figure BDA0003880346330000042
Known as High Density Polyethylene (HDPE).
According to one embodiment, the means for extracting and dispensing the product also comprise a mounting skirt fixed to the upper end of the extraction tube and removably mounted on the reservoir, for example by screwing on the reservoir.
According to one embodiment, the means for extracting and dispensing the product further comprise a cap mounted radially around the mounting skirt and fixed to said mounting skirt.
For example, the cap is connected to the mounting skirt in an axial direction, for example by snap fastening in a corresponding groove provided on the inner surface of the cap, by means of an annular retaining member projecting radially from the outer surface of said skirt.
For example, the outer surface of the mounting skirt and the inner surface of the cap include anti-rotation elements to prevent rotation of the cap relative to the mounting skirt and thereby allow the extraction member to be screwed onto or off of the reservoir.
The cap may comprise, at its upper end, an annular flange comprising a central through hole in which the member for actuating the extraction of the product is mounted, and a stop element projecting from the annular flange towards the reservoir and positioned radially around the central hole, the stop element of the cap being intended to cooperate with an annular stop projection provided on the outer surface of the piston rod. This allows for maximum dosage. Thus, if the user wishes to release a smaller dose, the user may stop the travel before the end-stop.
Thus, at the end of product extraction, the piston rod abuts against the cap, in particular via the stop element of the cap and the annular stop projection of the piston rod.
According to another aspect, the present invention is directed to a sealed end piece for an assembly for packaging and dispensing a fluid product, the sealed end piece comprising a first annular sealing member extending outwardly from an outer surface of the end piece in a first direction, and a second annular sealing member extending outwardly from the outer surface of the end piece in a second direction, the first direction being opposite the second direction, and the first sealing member extending radially beyond the second sealing member in a free state of the sealed end piece.
The invention will be better understood by studying the detailed description of an embodiment, given purely by way of non-limiting example and illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which:
FIG. 1 is an axial cross-sectional view of an assembly for packaging and dispensing a fluid product according to one embodiment of the present invention, with the piston rod in a rest position;
FIG. 2 is an axial cross-sectional view of the assembly for packaging and dispensing fluid products of FIG. 1, with the piston rod in the extraction position;
FIG. 3 is a detailed view of FIG. 1;
fig. 4 is a perspective view of an end piece of a piston rod of the assembly for packaging and dispensing a product of fig. 1-3; and
fig. 5 is a cross-sectional view of the end piece of fig. 4.
In the remainder of the description, reference will be made to the orthonormal bases X, Y, Z, where Z corresponds to the height axis representing the vertical direction. The expressions "upper" and "lower" refer to the upper and lower parts of fig. 1 to 5.
Fig. 1 and 2 show an assembly 1 for packaging and dispensing a fluid product, in particular a cosmetic product, which is configured for packaging the cosmetic product, for withdrawing a quantity of the cosmetic product and for dispensing or applying, in particular to the epidermis of a user, the cosmetic product.
By "product" is meant a cosmetic product, such as a liquid or semi-liquid product intended to be applied, for example, to the epidermis of a user. In a completely non-limiting manner, the product may be a care serum, or a foundation, or any fluid product intended to be extracted for dispensing.
The assembly 1 for packaging and dispensing a fluid product comprises a reservoir or container 10, for example in the form of a hollow body, delimiting an inner body 12 containing the product (for example the fluid product). The reservoir 10 extends in an axial direction along an axis Z-Z', which is assumed to be vertical in the figures, from an upper end 14 forming a neck provided with an opening 16 for accessing the internal volume 12 to a lower end 18 forming the bottom of the reservoir. The body of the reservoir 10 may be made of, for example, a rigid synthetic material.
As illustrated, the neck 14 has an outer diameter smaller than that of the body of the reservoir 10 and comprises, on its outer surface, a thread 14a onto which a member 20 for extracting and dispensing the product is screwed. The member for withdrawing and dispensing product 20 is configured to close the opening 16 of the reservoir 10 and is removable with respect to the reservoir.
The means 20 for extracting and dispensing the product a comprise an extraction tube or pipette 21 mounted in the opening 16 of the reservoir 10.
The pipette 21 comprises a body 21a having a cylindrical overall shape, which extends along the axis Z-Z' and delimits an internal duct 21b which extends from a lower end 21c of the body towards an upper end 21d of the body and opens into the internal volume 12 of the reservoir 10.
As illustrated, the inner conduit 21b has three portions of different diameters. As a variant, it can be provided that the inner conduit 21b has at least two portions of different diameter, namely a central portion and a lower portion close to the lower end 21 c. The diameter of the lower portion is smaller than the diameter of the central portion. The diameter of the lower portion may be constant or variable along its entire length, as can be seen in fig. 1 to 3.
The member 20 for extracting and dispensing the product a also comprises a substantially cylindrical mounting skirt 22 comprising self-tapping threads 22a cooperating with the threads 14a of the reservoir 10. A mounting skirt 22 is secured to the upper end 21d of the pipette 21.
The member for extracting and dispensing the product a 20 also comprises a cap 24 having a cylindrical overall shape, which extends along the axis Z-Z' and radially around the mounting skirt 22.
The cap 24 is connected to the mounting skirt 22, in particular snap-fastened in a corresponding groove 24a provided on an inner surface (not marked) of the cap 24 by means of an annular retaining member 22b projecting radially from the outer surface of said skirt 22.
The outer surface of the mounting skirt 22 and the inner surface of the cap 24 are also provided with anti-rotation projections (not numbered) to prevent rotation of the cap 24 relative to the mounting skirt 22 and thereby make it possible to screw the extraction member 20 onto or off the reservoir 10.
The cap 24 comprises, at its upper end, an annular flange 24b comprising a central through hole 24c in which the piston 26 is mounted, and a stop element 24d projecting from the annular flange 24b towards the reservoir 10 along a vertical axis Z-Z'. The stop element 24d is positioned radially around the central hole 24 c. In this case, the stop element 24d extends perpendicularly with respect to the annular flange 24b along the axis Z-Z'. It can be provided that the stop element 24d extends obliquely with respect to the annular flange 24b along the axis Z-Z'.
The means for extracting and dispensing 20 also comprise a means for actuating the extraction of the product 26, or piston, comprising a piston rod 27 mounted in the inner conduit 21b of the pipette 21 and configured to extract and expel respectively the product upwards by exerting a force on the piston 26 along the vertical axis Z-Z'.
The piston rod 27 comprises a body having a cylindrical overall shape, which extends along the axis Z-Z' and delimits an inner conduit 27a extending from a lower end 27b of the body towards an upper end 27c of the body.
The piston 26 also comprises an actuating head 25 fixed to the upper end 27c of the piston rod 27 by clamping fastening.
The outer surface of the piston rod 27 comprises an annular stop projection 27d or annular stop protrusion intended to cooperate with the stop element 24d of the cap 24.
The piston 26 is capable of translational movement in the inner conduit 21b of the pipette 21 between a rest or ejection position (visible in fig. 1) and an extraction position (visible in fig. 2) in which the piston rod 27 abuts against the cap 24, in particular via the stop element 24d of the cap 24 and the annular stop projection 27d of the piston rod 27.
The piston 26 also includes a seal end member 28 which is mounted in the inner conduit 27a of the piston rod 27 at the lower end 27b of the piston rod 27.
The end piece 28 can be seen in more detail in fig. 3 to 5.
The end piece 28 comprises a generally substantially cylindrical body 28a extending along a height axis (in this case the vertical axis Z). The body 28a of the end piece is bounded by a lower end 28b and an upper end 28 c.
The end piece 28 comprises a mounting portion 28d which is mounted in the inner conduit 27a of the piston rod 27. The outer diameter of the mounting portion 28d is substantially equal to the inner diameter of the inner conduit 27a of the piston rod 27. The mounting portion 28d comprises, on its outer surface, fixing elements 28e, for example annular projections, for example two in number, intended to cooperate with corresponding recesses 27e on the inner surface 27a of the piston rod 27. Thereby, the end piece 28 is fixed to the lower end 27b of the piston rod 27.
Alternatively, other forms of securing element 28e or a plurality of mutually parallel annular projections may be provided, or the projections may be arranged to include at least two semi-circular portions spaced from one another about the circumference of the body of end piece 28.
The mounting portion 28d is continued by a sealing portion 28f having a diameter larger than that of the mounting portion 28d, thereby forming a shoulder portion 28g axially contacting the lower surface 27b of the piston rod 27.
The sealing portion 28f is mounted in the inner conduit 21a of the pipette 21.
The sealing portion 28f includes a first annular sealing member 29a that extends in a first direction from the lower end 28b of the end piece 28 toward the inner conduit 21a of the pipette 21. As illustrated, the first direction is substantially oblique, making a first angle α 1 with the vertical axis Z. The first sealing member 29a extends toward the lower end 21c of the pipette 21.
The first angle α 1 may be between-15 ° and-25 °, for example equal to-20 °.
In the uninstalled free state of the end piece 28, which can be seen in fig. 4 and 5, the outer diameter of the first sealing member 29a is larger than the inner diameter of the inner conduit 21a of the pipette 21 by a first radial gap Δ j1. The first gap Δ j1 is, for example, between 0.125mm and 0.025mm, for example between 0.115mm and 0.035mm, for example equal to 0.08mm.
The first sealing member 29a is resiliently deformable such that during installation of said first sealing member 29a in said inner conduit 21a, the first sealing member deforms so as to be in sealing contact with said inner conduit.
The expression "elastically deformable" means that any member, by its shape or material, is capable of being elastically deformed under the action of an applied load (for example during insertion of a pipette).
The sealing portion 28f includes a second annular sealing member 29b that extends in a second direction from the lower end 28b of the end piece 28 toward the inner conduit 21a of the pipette 21. As illustrated, the second direction is substantially oblique, making a second angle α 2 with the vertical axis Z. The second angle α 2 may be between 15 ° and 25 °, for example equal to 20 °. The second sealing member 29b extends toward the upper end 21d of the pipette 21.
The first and second seal members 29a and 29b extend in two opposite directions.
In the uninstalled free state of the end piece 28, which can be seen in fig. 4 and 5, the outer diameter of the second sealing member 29b is greater than the inner diameter of the inner conduit 21a of the pipette 21 by a second radial clearance Δ j2. The second gap Δ j2 is for example between 0.005mm and 0.095mm, for example between 0.005mm and 0.06mm, and for example less than or equal to 0.05mm, for example equal to 0.02mm.
The second sealing member 29b is also elastically deformable such that it deforms to come into contact with the inner conduit during installation of the second sealing member 29b in the inner conduit 21 a.
The first sealing member 29a extends from the end piece 28a first distance Δ Z1 between 1.5mm and 1mm, for example equal to 1.95mm, and the second sealing member 29b extends from the end piece 28a second distance Δ Z2 between 1mm and 1.1mm, for example equal to 1.04mm.
Generally, the first seal member 29a extends along a greater vertical distance than the second seal member 29b.
In the free state of the end piece 28, the first sealing member 29a extends radially beyond the second sealing member 29b.
Thus, the end piece 28 comprises two sealing members 29a, 29b asymmetrical with respect to a plane XY passing through the axial axis X and the longitudinal axis Y. Such an end piece makes it possible to have two sealing members that exhibit different tightness of sealing.
The end piece 28 is made, for example, of a plastic material, for example, of a polymer, such as Polyethylene (PE), by the name
Figure BDA0003880346330000091
Known as Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE), or by name
Figure BDA0003880346330000092
Known as High Density Polyethylene (HDPE).
The first sealing member 29a makes it possible to ensure that the inner guide tube 21a of the pipette 21 is sealed, while the second sealing member 29b makes it possible to guide the end piece 28 and thus the piston 26 in the interior of said pipette 21.
The end piece 28 with the two sealing members makes it possible to ensure that the pipette 21 is sealed and that the piston 26 is smoothly translated in said pipette 21, in particular in the extraction direction and in the product dispensing direction. Thus, there is no jerking motion of piston 26 within the movement of pipette 21.
The force for releasing or dispensing the product is between 2N and 5N.
The piston 26 is set into translational movement in the pipette 21 by actuation of the manually pulled or pushed actuation head 27 c.
The piston has a stroke of at least 24 mm. As a variant, a piston stroke of less than 24mm may be provided.
The assembly 1 for packaging and dispensing a product also comprises a wiping member or wiper 30 comprising a cylindrical body 30a having an outer diameter substantially equal to the inner diameter of the neck 14 of the reservoir 10.
Wiping member 30 also has an annular wiping lip 30b at the first free end of the body, the free end of which defines a wiping orifice 30c having a substantially circular cross-section. This wiping lip 30b extends in the direction of the pipette 21 and is dimensioned to press against the pipette 21 during removal of the extraction and dispensing member 20 from the reservoir 10. In this case, wiping lip 30b extends perpendicularly with respect to body 30a towards axis Z-Z'. It may be provided that the wiping lip 30b extends obliquely with respect to the body 30a towards the axis Z-Z'.
The inner diameter of the hole 30c is preferably smaller than or equal to the outer diameter of the pipette 21 to prevent the product contained in the reservoir 10 from escaping.
The body 30a includes a member 30d at its upper end for retaining the body on the reservoir 10. As illustrated, the retaining member 30c is made in the form of an annular projection intended to be snap-fastened in a corresponding groove (not indicated) formed on the inner surface of the neck 14. Alternatively, other forms of retaining member or a plurality of mutually parallel annular projections may be provided, or the projections may be provided to comprise at least two semi-circular portions spaced apart from one another about the circumference of the body of the wiping member.
At a second end, opposite to the first end, the body 30a of the wiping member 30 comprises an annular flange 30e in axial contact with the neck 16 of the reservoir 10.
The wiping member 30 can be made of, for example, an elastomeric material or a polyolefin, in particular polyethylene, or any other plastic material. Wiping lip 30b is, for example, more flexible than body 30a of wiping member 30.
As illustrated, the assembly 1 for packaging and dispensing a product further comprises an annular sealing member 32 mounted radially between the mounting skirt 22 and the pipette body 21 and axially between the pipette 21 and the end of the neck 16 of the reservoir 10.
The present invention therefore provides an assembly for packaging and dispensing a fluid product, comprising a member for withdrawing and dispensing the product, which member exhibits a better seal and improved ease of use.
