本申请提出一种最大传输层数的调整方法及装置,其中,应用于网络设备的方法包括所述网络设备配置或更新终端设备在激活部分带宽BWP上的上行最大传输层数和/或下行最大传输层数的目标值,所述目标值为所述BWP的对应传输层数配置集合中的配置值;所述网络设备向所述终端设备指示所述上行最大传输层数和/或所述下行最大传输层数的目标值。本申请中,在需要调整终端设备的最大传输层数的场景下,可以实现在激活BWP内灵活地对最大传输层数的调整,无需终端设备通过BWP切换来实现最大传输层数调整,使得最大传输层数的调整延时较小,同时有效提高了最大传输层数调整的有效率,可以更好的适应业务变化和信道状态变化,能够实现节省终端设备能耗的目的。
