Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a skin layer composition for forming low-odor polyvinyl chloride (PVC) artificial leather, a foaming layer composition, and low-odor PVC artificial leather including a skin layer formed of the skin layer composition and a foaming layer formed of the foaming layer composition, which can be used for, for example, automobile interior trims.
Background
In recent years, people have been pursuing healthy life more and more with the improvement of the overall living standard of society. In addition to concern about air quality in a home, air quality in an automobile is receiving increasing attention from consumers, and its odor is receiving great attention from host factories and consumers as polyvinyl chloride (PVC) artificial leather, which is a large percentage of interior trims of automobiles.
With the promulgation and implementation of GB 27630 air quality guideline in automobiles, the requirement of a host factory on the smell of automotive interior materials is getting stricter. However, the odor improvement of the PVC artificial leather is a problem that manufacturers of the artificial leather are always headache, almost the whole formula is replaced by raw materials with optimized odor, and the standard requirements of customers cannot be met. Even the subsequent baking can be carried out only with the cost, and the level desired by the customer can be barely achieved.
PVC artificial leather generally comprises a dense skin layer, in which PVC resin, plasticizer and stabilizer are generally contained, and/or a foamed layer, in which PVC resin, plasticizer, stabilizer and foaming agent are generally contained. The odor of PVC artificial leather comes from the raw materials themselves, such as plasticizers, stabilizers; another aspect is from the manufacturing process. During the processing of the PVC artificial leather, the raw materials in the PVC artificial leather are subjected to oxidative degradation under the action of heat and oxygen, and the PVC artificial leather also generates odor.
The present invention focuses on solving the problem of odor generated during processing.
Disclosure of Invention
Based on the above prior art, an object of the present invention is to provide a skin layer composition for forming a low-odor PVC artificial leather, a foamed layer composition, and a low-odor PVC artificial leather prepared from the skin layer composition and/or the foamed layer composition. The skin layer composition, the foaming layer composition and the PVC artificial leather obtained therefrom according to the present invention can realize a significantly improved PVC odor.
In order to achieve the technical purpose, the invention provides a skin layer composition for forming low-odor PVC artificial leather, which comprises PVC resin, a plasticizer, a stabilizer and an antioxidant, wherein the antioxidant is a symmetrical hindered phenol antioxidant and/or a phosphite antioxidant.
In order to achieve aging resistance in conventional PVC artificial leather, a stabilizer is generally added. The addition of the stabilizer is able to adequately resist material aging, which helps prevent heat aging degradation. However, satisfactory PVC odor-improving effect is not sufficiently achieved only by selection and addition of the stabilizer. The invention discovers that the specific antioxidant and the stabilizer are matched, so that the oxidation degradation reaction of the PVC artificial leather and oxygen is reduced in the production process, and the generation of odor caused by material degradation is avoided.
The antioxidant is beneficial to preventing oxygen aging degradation. Oxygen can participate in thermal and oxygen degradation, oxygen reacts with hydrogen in PVC macromolecules and part of macromolecules such as plasticizer macromolecules to generate hydrogen peroxide, the hydrogen peroxide is further decomposed into free radicals, and the free radicals react with the macromolecules and the macromolecules to degrade chains of the macromolecules and the macromolecules. In the present invention, as the antioxidant, a symmetrical hindered phenol antioxidant, or a phosphite antioxidant, or a combination of both is preferably used. The symmetrical hindered phenol is a tert-butyl group at two ortho-positions of the phenolic hydroxyl group. The symmetric hindered phenol antioxidant and the phosphite antioxidant can be used independently or in combination. When the hindered phenol and the hindered phenol are compounded for use, the hindered phenol is used as a main antioxidant, can capture polymer peroxide free radicals and does not participate in chain degradation reaction; the phosphite ester is used as an auxiliary antioxidant and can prevent hydrogen peroxide from generating free radicals, and the main antioxidant and the auxiliary antioxidant can act synergistically. In other words, hindered phenols generally have a superior antioxidant effect than phosphites.
Preferably, the symmetrical hindered phenolic antioxidant used in the skin layer composition of the present invention is pentaerythrityl tetrakis [ beta- (3, 5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl) propionate ] (also known as hindered phenolic antioxidant 1010 or hindered phenol 1010) or n-octadecyl beta- (3, 5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl) propionate (also known as hindered phenolic antioxidant 1076 or hindered phenol 1076). The two hindered phenol antioxidants can improve the odor of PVC artificial leather more remarkably than conventional other hindered phenols. More preferably, pentaerythritol tetrakis [ beta- (3, 5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl) propionate ] is used.
Preferably, the phosphite antioxidant used in the skin layer composition of the present invention is tetrakis (2, 4-di-tert-butylphenol) -4,4' -biphenyldiphosphite (also known as phosphite antioxidant P-EPQ or phosphite P-EPQ). The present inventors have surprisingly found that the phosphite antioxidant alone provides better PVC odor improvement than some conventional hindered phenol primary antioxidants, such as diethylene glycol bis [ beta- (3-tert-butyl-4-hydroxy-5-methylphenyl) propionate ], also known as hindered phenol antioxidant 245 or hindered phenol 245.
Preferably, the antioxidants used in the skin layer composition of the present invention are pentaerythrityl tetrakis [ beta- (3, 5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl) propionate ] (also known as hindered phenolic antioxidant 1010 or hindered phenolic 1010) and tetrakis (2, 4-di-tert-butylphenol) -4,4' -biphenyldiphosphite (also known as phosphite antioxidant P-EPQ or phosphite P-EPQ). Wherein the hindered phenol 1010 and the phosphite P-EPQ are in particular 2:1 or more, preferably compounded and added together to the skin layer composition. When hindered phenol 1010 and phosphite P-EPQ are mixed in a ratio of 2:1 or more, the obtained compound antioxidant can realize a particularly excellent PVC odor improving effect. Therefore, the stability of the material in the processing process is ensured, and the long-term stability of the material in use is improved.
According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the skin layer composition comprises, based on 100 parts by weight of the sum of the contents of the PVC resin and the plasticizer:
40 to 60 parts by weight, for example, 40 parts by weight, 41 parts by weight, 42 parts by weight, 43 parts by weight, 44 parts by weight, 45 parts by weight, 46 parts by weight, 47 parts by weight, 48 parts by weight, 49 parts by weight, 50 parts by weight, 51 parts by weight, 52 parts by weight, 53 parts by weight, 54 parts by weight, 55 parts by weight, 56 parts by weight, 57 parts by weight, 58 parts by weight, 59 parts by weight, 60 parts by weight, or a range between any two of these values;
40 to 60 parts by weight, such as 40 parts by weight, 41 parts by weight, 42 parts by weight, 43 parts by weight, 44 parts by weight, 45 parts by weight, 46 parts by weight, 47 parts by weight, 48 parts by weight, 49 parts by weight, 50 parts by weight, 51 parts by weight, 52 parts by weight, 53 parts by weight, 54 parts by weight, 55 parts by weight, 56 parts by weight, 57 parts by weight, 58 parts by weight, 59 parts by weight, 60 parts by weight, or a plasticizer in a range between any two of these values;
1 to 5 parts by weight, such as 1 part by weight, 2 parts by weight, 3 parts by weight, 4 parts by weight, 5 parts by weight, or a stabilizer ranging between any two of these values;
0.1 to 0.3 parts by weight, such as 0.1 parts by weight, 0.15 parts by weight, 0.2 parts by weight, 0.25 parts by weight, 0.3 parts by weight, or a range between any two of these values.
In order to achieve the technical objects mentioned at the beginning, the present invention also provides a foaming layer composition for forming low odor PVC artificial leather, comprising PVC resin, plasticizer, stabilizer, antioxidant and foaming agent, wherein the antioxidant is a symmetrical hindered phenol antioxidant and/or a phosphite antioxidant.
Preferably, the symmetrical hindered phenolic antioxidant used in the foam layer composition of the present invention is pentaerythrityl tetrakis [ beta- (3, 5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl) propionate (also known as hindered phenolic antioxidant 1010 or hindered phenolic 1010) or n-octadecyl beta- (3, 5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl) propionate (also known as hindered phenolic antioxidant 1076 or hindered phenolic 1076).

Preferably, the antioxidants used in the foam layer composition of the present invention are pentaerythrityl tetrakis [ beta- (3, 5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl) propionate ] (also known as hindered phenol antioxidant 1010 or hindered phenol 1010) and tetrakis (2, 4-di-tert-butylphenol) -4,4' -biphenyldiphosphite (also known as phosphite antioxidant P-EPQ or phosphite P-EPQ). The hindered phenol 1010 and the phosphite P-EPQ are in particular 2:1 or more, preferably compounded and added together to the foam layer composition. When hindered phenol 1010 and phosphite P-EPQ are mixed in a ratio of 2:1 or more, the obtained compound antioxidant can realize a particularly excellent PVC odor improvement effect. Therefore, the stability of the material in the processing process is ensured, and the long-term stability of the material in use is improved.

Performance detection
The PVC artificial leathers prepared in examples 1 to 8 and comparative examples 1 to 4 were subjected to an odor test in accordance with International publication standard PV 3900C 3, and the test results are shown in Table 13. The odor characteristics of the material are classified according to standard regulations:
grade 1, no odor;
grade 2, odorous, but non-interfering odor;
grade 3, obvious smell, but no interfering smell;
grade 4, with interfering odor;
grade 5, strong interfering odor;
grade 6, intolerable odor.
TABLE 13 PVC odor ratings of examples 1-8 and comparative examples 1-4
As can be seen from Table 13, examples 1-3 of the present invention were able to achieve a low odor rating of 4.0 or less using a single antioxidant, with example 3 using the phosphite antioxidant P-EPQ as the antioxidant having an odor rating even lower than comparative example 2 using the hindered phenol antioxidant 245 as the antioxidant.
In the case of using hindered phenol 1010 and phosphite P-EPQ as antioxidants in combination, when the combination ratio of the hindered phenol 1010 and the phosphite P-EPQ is 2: 1. 3: 1. 5:1, the odor-improving effect is remarkably superior to that in the case of using the two antioxidants alone. When the compounding ratio of the hindered phenol 1010 and the phosphite P-EPQ is 3:1, with an optimal low odor rating of only grade 3.1.
