A swab assembly for a surface cleaning device according to any one of claims 1 to 7, wherein the swab comprises an outer cleaning layer and an inner strengthening layer, and wherein the edge wrapping ring wraps both the cleaning layer and the strengthening layer; or the mop cloth comprises a cleaning layer arranged on the outer surface and a strengthening layer arranged on the inner side, the edge covering ring covers the cleaning layer, and at least part of the edge covering ring is arranged between the cleaning layer and the strengthening layer.
9. The mop assembly of claim 8, wherein the reinforcement layer is made of a rubber material or a silicone material.
10. A swab assembly according to any one of claims 1 to 7 in which the strengthening layer is applied to the inner surface of the swab by coating or adhesive bonding.
