Detailed Description
To make the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the embodiments of the present disclosure more apparent, the embodiments of the present disclosure will be described clearly and completely with reference to the accompanying drawings, and it is to be understood that the described embodiments are only a part of the embodiments of the present disclosure, but not all of the embodiments. All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments disclosed herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present disclosure.
The terms "comprising" and "having," and any variations thereof, as referred to in the embodiments of the present disclosure, are intended to cover non-exclusive inclusions. For example, a process, method, system, article, or apparatus that comprises a list of steps or elements is not limited to only those steps or elements but may include other steps or elements not expressly listed or inherent to such process, method, article, or apparatus.
In the current dead-land type games, players and teammates can mark material items on a map, for example, the items such as medicines, ammunition and equipment, and the marks are displayed in a direction indicator above a game interface in real time to play a role in prompting directions of the teammates. However, when teammates mark a lot of materials, the interface has many direction prompts, and the direction prompts are gathered together to be displayed in an interference mode, so that the players are difficult to distinguish. For example, if the player only needs the medicine, and does not need other props such as ammunition and equipment, too many direction prompts will cause the player to be difficult to distinguish which direction the medicine is in, which affects the game experience.
As can be seen from the above-mentioned drawbacks, the conventional game has a technical problem that the player is not easily distinguished because many directions are presented in the game.
Based on this, the embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method and an apparatus for prompting a direction in a game, and an electronic terminal, through the method provided by the embodiments of the present disclosure, a player can enable a system to display only a direction prompt required by the player, thereby avoiding influence of too many direction prompts on the appearance and the game experience of the player, and alleviating a technical problem that the player is not easily distinguished due to more direction prompts in the game.
In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the direction prompting method in the game may be executed on a local terminal device or a server. When the direction prompting method in the game is operated on the server, the method can be implemented and executed based on a cloud interaction system, wherein the cloud interaction system comprises the server and the client device.
In an optional embodiment, various cloud applications may be run under the cloud interaction system, for example: and (5) cloud games. Taking a cloud game as an example, a cloud game refers to a game mode based on cloud computing. In the running mode of the cloud game, the running main body of the game program and the game picture presenting main body are separated, the storage and the running of the direction prompting method in the game are finished on a cloud game server, and the client equipment is used for receiving and sending data and presenting the game picture, for example, the client equipment can be display equipment with a data transmission function close to a user side, such as a mobile terminal, a television, a computer, a palm computer and the like; but the cloud game server which performs information processing is a cloud. When a game is played, a player operates the client device to send an operation instruction to the cloud game server, the cloud game server runs the game according to the operation instruction, data such as game pictures and the like are encoded and compressed, the data are returned to the client device through a network, and finally the data are decoded through the client device and the game pictures are output.
In an optional implementation manner, taking a game as an example, the local terminal device stores a game program and is used for presenting a game screen. The local terminal device is used for interacting with the player through a graphical user interface, namely, a game program is downloaded and installed and operated through an electronic device conventionally. The manner in which the local terminal device provides the graphical user interface to the player may include a variety of ways, for example, it may be rendered for display on a display screen of the terminal or provided to the player through holographic projection. For example, the local terminal device may include a display screen for presenting a graphical user interface including a game screen and a processor for running the game, generating the graphical user interface, and controlling display of the graphical user interface on the display screen.
In a possible implementation manner, an embodiment of the present disclosure provides a direction prompting method in a game, where a graphical user interface is provided through a terminal device, where the terminal device may be the aforementioned local terminal device, and may also be the aforementioned client device in a cloud interaction system.

Embodiments of the present disclosure are further described below with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Fig. 4 is a schematic flow chart of a direction prompting method in a game according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. The method can be applied to a terminal device (such as the mobile phone 102 shown in fig. 2) capable of presenting a graphical user interface, wherein the graphical user interface is provided through the terminal device, and a game scene of the game comprises at least one virtual object and a virtual character controlled through the terminal device. As shown in fig. 4, the method includes:
in step S410, the virtual character is controlled to move in the game scene in response to the movement control operation for the virtual character.
For example, a player can perform movement control operation on a virtual character in a game, so that movement control on the virtual character is realized, and the virtual character is controlled to move in a game scene. For example, a player at the computer end can click a direction key on a keyboard, and a player at the mobile phone end can control a virtual moving rocker on a mobile phone screen, so that the virtual character is controlled to move front, back, left and right.
In step S420, the view angle direction of the virtual character in the game scene is controlled in response to the view angle control operation for the virtual character.
For example, a player may perform perspective control operation on a virtual character in a game, so as to control the perspective of the virtual character, and further enable the player to obtain more game scene contents. For example, a player at the computer end can adjust the visual angle by moving the mouse, and a player at the mobile phone end can slide through a blank area on the screen of the mobile phone, so that the visual angle direction of the virtual character can be controlled. Through the coordination of the movement control and the visual angle control, a player can acquire the information content in a game scene to the maximum extent.
Step S430, in response to a first specifying operation for a first virtual object of the at least one virtual object, displaying a prompt message of a first relative direction in the graphical user interface.
The first relative direction is the relative direction of the first position of the first virtual object in the game scene to the virtual character.
For example, as shown in fig. 5, a game may include a plurality of virtual objects, such as virtual medicines, virtual ammunition, virtual equipment, and the like, and the embodiment of the present disclosure is described with a virtual medicine as a first virtual object. In the game, the player may perform a first specifying operation on a first virtual object in the graphical user interface, specifically, the first specifying operation may be an operation on an identifier (virtual medicine identifier 501) of the first virtual object displayed in the graphical user interface, an operation on the first virtual object model itself in the game scene, or an operation on a property bar lattice where the first virtual object is placed. As shown in fig. 6, the first specified operation may be a drag operation for the virtual medicine identifier 601, for example, dragging the virtual medicine identifier 601 to the direction prompt area 602 at the top of the graphical user interface. The system may determine a first position of the virtual medication in the game scene in response to the player's action.
In practice, after the system determines the first position of the virtual medicine marked by the team member in the game scene, the system will determine a first relative direction of the first position with respect to the virtual character 502 according to the first position and the current position of the virtual character 502. When the marked virtual medicines are multiple, the system determines the first position of each marked virtual medicine, and then obtains multiple first relative directions. As shown in FIG. 7, after the system determines a first relative orientation of the first position with respect to the virtual character 701, a prompt 702 for the first relative orientation may be displayed in the graphical user interface for the player.
In the embodiment of the present disclosure, a player may perform a movement control operation on a virtual character to control the virtual character to move in a game scene, and may also perform a perspective control operation on the virtual character to control a perspective direction of the virtual character in the game scene, so as to implement dynamic adjustment on a view field in a game, and then the player may perform a designation operation on a certain virtual object, for example, a first designation operation performed on an identifier corresponding to a first virtual object displayed in a graphical user interface, or a first designation operation performed on a first virtual object model in the game scene itself, so that a system may determine a relative direction of the virtual object in the game scene with respect to the virtual character, and further the system may display only prompt information of the relative direction in the graphical user interface, so that the direction prompt is more targeted, the method and the device avoid the situation that the player is difficult to distinguish the specific direction of the virtual object due to the fact that the multiple direction prompts are displayed in the graphical user interface at the same time, avoid the influence of the excessive direction prompts on the impression and the game experience of the player, and relieve the technical problem that the player is difficult to distinguish due to the fact that the direction prompts are more in the game.
The above steps are described in detail below.
In some embodiments, the first specifying operation may have a plurality of operation forms, so that the operation is more flexible, for example, the first specifying operation may include a plurality of types to enable determination of the first virtual object in a plurality of flexible ways, so that the first position of the first virtual object in the game scene may be determined. Illustratively, the first specified operation includes any one or more of:
clicking operation, sliding operation, dragging operation and operation that the touch duration exceeds the preset duration.
As one example, the player may trigger a response of the system by a click operation that causes the system to determine a first position of a first virtual object in a game scene. For example, as shown in fig. 5, the player may perform a click operation, such as a single click, a double click, etc., on the virtual drug identifier 501, thereby triggering a response of the system.
As another example, the player may trigger a response of the system by a swipe action that causes the system to determine a first position of a first virtual object in a game scene. For example, as shown in fig. 6, the player may perform a sliding operation in any direction with respect to the virtual drug identifier 601, thereby triggering a response of the system.
As another example, the player may trigger a response of the system by a drag operation, causing the system to determine a first position of a first virtual object in the game scene. For example, as shown in FIG. 6, the player may drag the virtual medication identification 601 to a directional hint area 602 (director) at the top of the graphical user interface, thereby triggering a response by the system. The dragging operation may be a dragging operation in which the touch point is dragged from the direction prompt area 602 to the virtual medicine identifier 601, or may be a dragging operation in which the touch point is dragged from the virtual medicine identifier 601 to the direction prompt area 602.
As another example, the player may trigger the system to determine the first position of the first virtual object in the game scene through an operation in which the touch duration exceeds a preset duration, that is, a long press operation triggers a response of the system. For example, as shown in FIG. 5, when the player's operation duration for the virtual drug identifier 501 exceeds 1 second and triggers a response from the system, the system may determine the first position of the virtual drug in the game scenario in response to the player's operation. It should be noted that, in practical applications, the preset time period may be any time period, and the embodiment of the present disclosure takes 1 second as an example for description.
By enabling the first designated operation to comprise multiple types, the determination of the first virtual object can be achieved in multiple flexible ways, and the first position of the first virtual object in the game scene can be determined. And the method can be adapted to the operation habits of different players, so that the players can carry out personalized configuration according to the operation habits of the players, and the game experience of the players is improved.
In some embodiments, a player can perform a first designation operation on a first virtual object model in a game scene, and also perform a first designation operation on an identifier of a first virtual object in a graphical user interface, and the first virtual object is determined in multiple flexible ways, so that the determination way of the first virtual object can be more flexible, and then the display of the prompt information corresponding to the first virtual object by the system is triggered in multiple ways. As an example, an identification of a first virtual object is displayed in the graphical user interface; the step S430 may specifically include the following steps:
step a), in response to a first specified operation aiming at the identification of the first virtual object, prompt information of a first relative direction is displayed in the graphical user interface.
For example, the first specified operation may be an operation for the first virtual item identifier, such as a single click, a double click, or the like for the first virtual item identifier, so as to trigger a response of the system, so that the system may determine a first position of the first virtual item in the game scene and a first relative direction of the first position with respect to the virtual character, and further display prompt information of the first relative direction in the graphical user interface.
Because the game is usually provided with the special identifier of the first virtual object in the graphical user interface, the system responds to the first specified operation aiming at the identifier of the first virtual object, and the prompt message of the first relative direction is displayed in the graphical user interface, so that a player can directly drag the identifier on the graphical user interface to complete the first specified operation without searching the virtual model of the first virtual object in a game scene by the player and operating aiming at the virtual model, the time of the player is saved, the convenience of operation is improved, and the game experience of the player is improved.
Based on the step a), the game is usually provided with a special direction prompt area in the graphical user interface, and the player can operate the identifier of the first virtual object and the direction prompt area, for example, drag the identifier of the first virtual object to the direction prompt area, so that the player can check the direction of a certain object more quickly, conveniently and more specifically. As an example, a direction prompt area is included in the graphical user interface; the step a) may specifically include the following steps:
and b), responding to the operation of dragging the identification of the first virtual object to the direction prompt area, and displaying prompt information of the first relative direction in the graphical user interface.
Illustratively, as shown in fig. 6, a special direction prompting area is usually set in the graphical user interface in the game, such as the direction prompting area 602 at the top of fig. 6 (i.e. the direction indicator in the game). The player may drag the virtual medication identification 601 to the direction prompt area 602 at the top of the graphical user interface. The system may be responsive to operation by the player to determine a first position of the virtual medication in the game scene and a first relative orientation of the first position with respect to the virtual character, and to display a prompt in the graphical user interface for the first relative orientation.
Because the game is usually provided with a special direction prompt area at the top of the graphical user interface, the system responds to the operation of dragging the identifier of the first virtual object to the direction prompt area, so that the first position of the first virtual object in the game scene is determined, the player can trigger the response of the system through a consistent and rapid operation mode, and the system determines the first position of the first virtual object in the game scene according to the operation of the player.
Based on the step b), a special direction prompting area is arranged in the graphical user interface, and the prompting information of the first relative direction is displayed in the direction prompting area, so that the player can observe the prompting information clearly and visually, and the player can observe the specific direction conveniently. As an example, the step b) may specifically include the following steps:
and c), displaying the prompt information of the first relative direction in the direction prompt area.
Illustratively, as shown in FIG. 7, games are typically provided with a dedicated directional hint area 703, i.e., a director, at the top of the graphical user interface. When the system determines a first relative orientation of the first position of the first virtual object with respect to the virtual character 701, a prompt 702 for the first relative orientation may be displayed for the player in the orientation prompt field 703.
Through the prompt information that makes the system show first relative direction in the direction suggestion region, can comparatively clear audio-visual messenger player observe the prompt information, can make the player in addition when normal recreation observing direction, can comparatively natural observation first relative direction's prompt information to can be absorbed in the recreation content, thereby the prompt information that need not to observe first relative direction alone leads to attention to be dispersed, has improved player's gaming experience.
Based on the step c), the direction prompt area is similar to a compass ruler, a plurality of angles are marked on the direction prompt area and respectively correspond to different directions, the system displays the direction prompt information at different angles, so that the player can observe the prompt information clearly and visually, and the player can observe the specific direction conveniently. As an example, a plurality of angles are displayed in the direction prompting area, and each angle corresponds to one relative direction; the step c) may specifically include the following steps:
and d), displaying the direction prompt information of the first virtual object at a first angle corresponding to the first relative direction in the direction prompt area.
Illustratively, as shown in FIG. 7, after the system determines the first position of the first virtual object in the game scene, the system will determine a first relative orientation of the first position with respect to the virtual character 502 based on the first position and the current position of the virtual character 502. When there are multiple marked virtual medications, the system may determine a first location for each marked virtual medication resulting in multiple first relative directions. As shown in FIG. 7, after the system determines a first relative orientation of the first position with respect to the virtual character 701, a prompt 702 for the first relative orientation may be displayed in the graphical user interface for the player. The first angles corresponding to the three first virtual objects are 65 degrees, 95 degrees and 132 degrees, so that the system can display the prompt message 702 of the first relative direction at the positions of 65 degrees, 95 degrees and 132 degrees in the direction prompt area.
The direction prompt information of the first virtual object is displayed at the first angle corresponding to the first relative direction in the direction prompt area through the system, so that a player can observe the prompt information clearly and visually, the player can observe the specific direction conveniently, and the game experience of the player is improved.
Based on the step c), the information provided by the direction prompt area in the game comprises a plurality of types, so that the content types of the prompt information are richer, information related to a plurality of angles can be provided for the player, distance information can also be provided for the player, the player can obtain detailed and rich prompt information provided by the system in the game, and the game experience of the player is improved. Exemplarily, the step c) may specifically include the following steps:
step f), displaying the prompt information of the first relative direction and the prompt information of any one or more of the following items in the direction prompt area: the virtual character is positioned at a second position in the game scene and in the visual angle direction, the difference angle between the visual angle direction and the first relative direction and the difference distance between the first position and the second position.
As an example, the player may obtain the second position and the viewing direction of the virtual character in the game scene from the direction prompting area, as shown in fig. 7, the current virtual character faces the east-right direction in the game map, and the corresponding angle of the east-right direction in the direction prompting area is 90 degrees, so the viewing direction of the virtual character displayed at the center in the direction prompting area is 90 degrees. The specific position of the virtual machine character can also be displayed in the direction prompting area, for example, which area in the game scene the virtual character is currently located in is displayed in an identification manner.
As another example, the direction prompting area may also provide the player with a difference angle between the perspective direction of the virtual character and the first relative direction, as shown in fig. 7, where the perspective direction of the current virtual character is 90 degrees, and the first relative direction is about 95 degrees, and there is a prompting message 702, and the system may prompt the player that the difference angle between the perspective direction of the current virtual character and the first relative direction is 5 degrees by way of identification.
As another example, the direction prompting area may also provide the player with the distance difference between the first position and the second position, as shown in fig. 7, a position with the current first relative direction being about 95 degrees has a prompting message 702, and the distance between the corresponding first position and the second position where the virtual character is currently located is 300 meters, so that the system may prompt the player that the distance between the current virtual character and the first virtual object is 300 meters in an identification manner.
The information provided by the direction prompting area comprises multiple types, so that the types of prompting information contents are richer, information related to multiple angles can be provided for a player, distance information can also be provided for the player, the player can observe a specific direction conveniently, and the game experience of the player is improved.
Based on the step c), when the player does not need the prompt information, the player can also perform a second specified operation on the direction prompt area, so that the prompt information of the system hidden in the direction prompt area can be quickly and simply operated, namely the display of the direction prompt information can be cancelled through operation, the situation that the direction prompt information shields a game picture to interfere with the player is avoided, and the game experience of the player is improved. As an example, after the step c), the method may further include the steps of:
and d), hiding the prompt information in the direction prompt area in response to a second specified operation aiming at the direction prompt area.
For example, as shown in fig. 8, when the player does not need the hint information, the player may perform a second specified operation with respect to the direction hint area 801 at the top of the graphical user interface, such as performing a horizontal sliding operation to the left within the direction hint area 801, so that the system may hide the hint information 802 in the direction hint area 801.
The system responds to the second specified operation of the player for the direction prompt area, and the prompt information is hidden in the direction prompt area, so that the prompt information can be hidden by the system through quick and simple operation when the player does not need the prompt information, the interference of the prompt information to the player is avoided, and the game experience of the player is improved.
Based on the step d), the operation of canceling the display of the direction prompt information can have a plurality of operation forms, so that the operation is more flexible, for example, the second specified operation can include a plurality of types, so as to control the prompt information hidden in the direction prompt area by the system in a plurality of flexible ways, avoid the interference of the prompt information on the player, and improve the game experience of the player. Illustratively, the second specified operation includes any one or more of:
clicking operation, sliding operation, dragging operation and operation that the touch duration exceeds the preset duration.
As an example, a player may trigger a response of the system by a click action, causing the system to hide the reminder information in the directional reminder area. For example, as shown in fig. 8, the player may perform a click operation such as a single click or a double click on the direction indication area 801, thereby triggering a response of the system.
As another example, the player may trigger a response of the system by a swipe action, causing the system to hide the reminder information in the direction reminder area. For example, as shown in fig. 8, the player may perform a sliding operation in any direction with respect to the direction prompt area 801, thereby triggering a response of the system.
As another example, the player may trigger a response of the system by a drag operation, causing the system to hide the reminder information in the directional reminder area. For example, as shown in fig. 8, the player may perform a drag operation in any direction with respect to the direction prompt area 801, thereby triggering a response of the system.
As another example, the player may cause the system to hide the prompt information in the direction prompt area through an operation in which the touch duration exceeds a preset duration, that is, a long press operation triggers a response of the system. For example, as shown in fig. 8, when the operation time period of the player with respect to the direction prompt area 801 exceeds 1 second and triggers a response of the system, the system may hide the prompt information in the direction prompt area 801 in response to the operation of the player. It should be noted that, in practical applications, the preset time period may be any time period, and the embodiment of the present disclosure takes 1 second as an example for description.
By enabling the second designated operation to comprise multiple types, the prompt information hidden in the direction prompt area by the system can be controlled in multiple flexible modes, and the interference of the prompt information to a player is avoided. And the method can be adapted to the operation habits of different players, so that the players can carry out personalized configuration according to the operation habits of the players, and the game experience of the players is improved.
Based on the step c), the system can also provide direction prompt information of various virtual objects for the player at the same time, and the player can perform third specified operation on the direction prompt area to enable the prompt information of the second relative direction to replace the prompt information of the first relative direction to be displayed, or enable the direction prompt information of various virtual objects to be displayed in the direction prompt area at the same time, so that the player can obtain richer game information. As an example, the method may further comprise the steps of:
and f), responding to a third specified operation aiming at the direction prompt area, and displaying prompt information of a second relative direction in the direction prompt area.
For the step f), the second relative direction is a second relative direction of the second position of the second virtual object in the game scene to the virtual character.
For example, as shown in fig. 9, a game may include multiple virtual objects, and the embodiment of the present disclosure uses virtual ammunition as the second virtual object. The player may perform a third specifying operation for the direction indication area in the game, and specifically, the third specifying operation may be a drag operation of dragging the virtual ammunition identification 901 to the direction indication area 902. The system may determine a second position of the virtual ammunition in the game scene in response to the player's action. After the system determines the second position, a second relative direction of the second position with respect to the virtual character 903 is determined based on the second position and the current position of the virtual character 903, and a prompt message 904 of the second relative direction is displayed for the player in a direction prompt area 902 in the graphical user interface.
The system responds to the third appointed operation of the player aiming at the direction prompting area, the prompting information of the second relative direction is displayed in the direction prompting area, so that the prompting information of the second relative direction replaces the prompting information of the first relative direction to be displayed, or the direction prompting information of various virtual objects is simultaneously displayed in the direction prompting area, and therefore the player can obtain richer game information and the game experience of the player is improved.
Based on the step h), the third specifying operation may have a plurality of operation forms, so that the operation is more flexible, for example, the third specifying operation may include a plurality of types, so as to control the system to display the prompt information of the second relative direction in the direction prompt area in a plurality of flexible ways, and improve the game experience of the player. Illustratively, the third specified operation includes any one or more of:
clicking operation, sliding operation, dragging operation and operation that the touch duration exceeds the preset duration.
As one example, the player may trigger a response of the system by a click action that causes the system to display a prompt for a second relative orientation in the orientation prompt area. For example, as shown in FIG. 9, the player may click on directional hint area 902 to trigger a response by the system.
As another example, the player may trigger a response of the system by a swipe operation, causing the system to display a cue for the second relative orientation in the orientation cue area. For example, as shown in fig. 9, the player may perform a sliding operation in any direction with respect to the direction prompt region 902, thereby triggering a response of the system.
As another example, the player may trigger a response of the system by a drag operation, causing the system to display a prompt for the second relative orientation in the orientation prompt area. For example, as shown in fig. 9, the player may perform a drag operation in any direction with respect to the direction prompt area 902, thereby triggering a response of the system. The dragging operation may be a dragging operation in which a touch point is dragged from the direction prompt area 902 to the virtual ammunition identifier 901, or may also be a dragging operation in which a touch point is dragged from the virtual ammunition identifier 901 to the direction prompt area 902.
As another example, the player may cause the system to display the prompt information of the second relative direction in the direction prompt area through an operation in which the touch duration exceeds a preset duration, that is, a long press operation triggers a response of the system. For example, as shown in FIG. 9, when the duration of the player's operation with respect to the direction prompt field 902 exceeds 1 second, which triggers a response by the system, the system may display prompt information 904 for a second relative direction in the direction prompt field 902 in response to the player's operation. It should be noted that, in practical applications, the preset time period may be any time period, and the above 1 second is only described.
The third appointed operation comprises multiple types, so that the display of the prompt information of the second opposite direction in the direction prompt area by the system can be controlled in multiple flexible modes, a player can obtain rich game information, and the game experience of the player is improved.
Based on the step h), a switching control is further arranged in the graphical user interface, a player can operate the switching control, the display content in the direction prompt area is switched by the relatively fast control system, namely, the direction prompt information of different materials is switched and displayed by operating the switching control, and the player can perform various flexible operations on the switching control, so that the function of the switching control can be triggered in various flexible modes, and the direction display is more convenient and flexible. As an example, a switching control is displayed at a corresponding position of the direction prompt area; the third specified operation is an operation for switching the control.
For example, as shown in fig. 10, a switching control 1001 is further disposed in the graphical user interface, and a player may perform a third specified operation, such as a click operation, a slide operation, a drag operation, and an operation in which a touch duration exceeds a preset duration, on the switching control 1001, so as to switch display contents of the direction indication area 1002. For example, in fig. 10, the content currently displayed in the presentation area 1002 is presentation information in the second relative direction, and the player may operate the switching control 1001, so that the control system switches the content currently displayed in the presentation area 1002 to the presentation information in the first relative direction.
It should be noted that the corresponding position of the direction prompt area may be any position in the graphical user interface, and the embodiment of the present disclosure takes the left side of the direction prompt area as an example for illustration.
The switching control is displayed at the corresponding position of the direction prompting area, so that the system responds to the third appointed operation of the player for the switching control, the rapid switching of the display content of the prompting area is realized, the player can switch the display content of the prompting area rapidly through simple and convenient operation, the display content of the prompting area is always the information required by the player, and the game experience of the player is improved.
In some embodiments, the virtual object identifier corresponding to the display content of the current direction prompt area can be displayed in the switching control, so that the player can clearly and intuitively know which virtual object the currently displayed direction prompt corresponds to, and the game experience of the player is improved. As one example, a first identification of a first virtual object or a second identification of a second virtual object is displayed in the toggle control.
For example, as shown in fig. 11, a first identifier of the first virtual object or a second identifier of the second virtual object may also be displayed in the switching control 1101. For example, in fig. 11, the currently displayed content in the prompt area 1102 is the prompt information in the first relative direction, and the switching control 1101 also displays the first identifier of the first virtual object (identifier of the virtual medicine).
Through making and showing the first sign that has first virtual object or the second sign of second virtual object in switching the control to clear audio-visual messenger player knows that the direction suggestion that shows at present corresponds to which kind of virtual object, improves player's gaming experience.
In some embodiments, the player may perform switching of the display content of the direction prompt region by selecting a material, so as to implement fast and accurate switching of the direction prompt, for example, a first identifier of a first virtual object and a second identifier of a second virtual object are displayed in a menu form in a graphical user interface, and the player may perform fast switching of the display content of the direction prompt region by a simple selection operation. As an example, the corresponding position of the switching control is displayed with a first identifier of the first virtual object and a second identifier of the second virtual object; the third specifying operation is a selection operation for the first identifier and the second identifier.
For example, as shown in fig. 12, a first identifier 1202 of a first virtual object and a second identifier 1203 of a second virtual object are displayed at corresponding positions of a switching control 1201, which may be understood as displaying a menu, and a player may perform a selection operation on the first identifier 1202 and the second identifier 1203 in the menu, thereby implementing switching of display contents of a direction prompt area 1204.
In practical applications, the menu may not be displayed in a resident manner, but may appear after the player operates the switching control, so as to avoid shielding the game picture.
It should be noted that the corresponding position of the direction prompt area may be any position in the graphical user interface, and the embodiment of the present disclosure takes the left side of the direction prompt area as an example for illustration.
The first identification of the first virtual object and the second identification of the second virtual object are displayed at the corresponding positions of the switching control, so that a player can directly select prompt information to be checked quickly without repeatedly carrying out third appointed operation on the switching control, operation steps are saved, and game experience of the player is improved.
Based on the step c), because the display content of the conventional game interface is limited, generally only one or two virtual object identifiers can be displayed, and the object that can be operated by the player is first caused, the player can also perform a fourth specified operation on the third virtual object, so that the first virtual object in the game interface is switched to the third virtual object, the types of the virtual objects displayed in the graphical user interface are richer, the player can obtain richer prompt information, or the virtual character is controlled to use the third virtual object, and the game experience of the player is improved. As an example, the method may further comprise the steps of:
and i), in response to a fourth specified operation aiming at a third virtual object in the at least one virtual object, controlling the virtual character to use the third virtual object or switching the first virtual object to the third virtual object.
For example, as shown in fig. 5, only one virtual medicine identifier 501 (the first virtual object) is displayed in a general game interface, and actually, the virtual objects in the backpack of the player are various. Therefore, the player can also operate according to the prop placement position in the game interface, and the third virtual object placed in the prop placement position is used for switching the first virtual object displayed in the graphical user interface. As shown in fig. 5, a virtual medicine identifier 501 is displayed in the current graphical user interface, when the player opens the game backpack and performs a fourth specified operation on a virtual grenade (a third virtual object) in a position where the game backpack prop is placed, the virtual medicine identifier 501 displayed in the graphical user interface is switched to the virtual grenade identifier, and then the player can operate the virtual grenade identifier, so that the system displays a prompt message corresponding to the virtual grenade. When the player carries out fourth appointed operation to the virtual grenade in the position of the game backpack prop, the player can also control the virtual character to use the virtual grenade, namely, the virtual character is controlled to lose the virtual grenade.
And controlling the virtual character to use the third virtual object or switching the first virtual object to the third virtual object by causing the system to respond to a fourth specified operation of the player for the third virtual object in the at least one virtual object. The types of virtual objects displayed in the graphical user interface are richer, so that a player can obtain richer prompt information, or the virtual character is controlled to use a third virtual object, and the game experience of the player is improved.
