Abstract
The invention discloses an electric connector, which comprises a first shell, a second shell and a connecting seat, wherein the first shell and the second shell are covered to form a containing cavity; one end of the connecting seat is embedded and clamped in the accommodating cavity of the first shell; one end of the first shell facing the connecting seat is provided with a first concave folding part which is bent outwards, and one side of the first concave folding part far away from the first shell is provided with a first shielding part which extends forwards; the second shell comprises a connecting arm, a second concave folding part which is bent outwards is arranged on one side of the connecting arm, which faces towards the connecting seat, and a second shielding part which extends forwards is arranged on one side of the second concave folding part, which is far away from the second shell; the first shielding part of the first shell and the second shielding part of the second shell are pressed on two opposite sides of the tongue plate seat by the front half part of the fixed shell, and the first concave folding part and the second concave folding part are covered by the rear half part of the fixed shell so as to be filled with waterproof glue which is positioned behind the tongue plate seat and penetrates through the connecting seat. Background
The connector is widely applied to various electronic products, is mainly assembled on products such as computer periphery, servers, routers, switching equipment and the like, is used for transmitting data, connecting peripheral equipment and the like, and is widely applied to the fields of network, communication, automatic control and the like.
Along with the increasing function of electronic products and the development trend of miniaturization, the requirements on the product structure are increased, and the requirements of stable product structure and easy assembly and processing are required to be met. At present, the glue filling groove of the connector is a U-shaped opening, which is not beneficial to glue filling, and the glue filling is needed on the front side and the back side, so that the overall production efficiency is affected; the SMT bonding pad of the high waterproof connector has insufficient shielding effect.

In order to solve the problems in the prior art, the invention aims to provide an ultrathin electric connector with high waterproof performance, reduce the process cost of the connector, only need to fill one time of glue, and improve the process yield.

In this embodiment, the terminal assembly 13 is embedded in the connection base 11, the welding end of the terminal assembly 13 is provided with a plastic body 37, the plastic body 37 is spaced from the tongue plate base 12, the plastic body 37 is embedded in the accommodating cavity 29 formed by the first shell 21 and the second shell 22, the waterproof glue 34 is filled in the space surrounded by the first concave folded part 27, the second concave folded part 47, the rear half part of the fixing shell 31, the plastic body 37 and the tongue plate base 12, and the terminal assembly 13 between the plastic body 37 and the tongue plate base 12 is wrapped. The electric connector provided by the invention adopts the penetrating glue filling groove, so that the glue filling efficiency is high, the glue filling is facilitated, the glue filling efficiency and the yield can be effectively improved, the cost is saved, and the waterproof effect is high after glue filling.
Further, first connecting lugs 23 bent outwards are arranged on two sides of the first shell 21, second connecting lugs 44 symmetrically matched with the first connecting lugs 23 are arranged on two sides of the second shell 22, and the first connecting lugs 23 and the second connecting lugs 44 are overlapped and fixedly arranged on a circuit board 52 through spot welding; the two sides of the first shell 21 are further provided with inwards bent side screen plates 24, the rear end of the first shell 21 is provided with inwards bent rear screen walls 25, the rear screen walls 25 are positioned behind the plastic body 37, the side screen plates 24 and the rear screen walls 25 are electrically connected to the circuit board 52, and the welding ends of the terminal assemblies 13 are welded on the circuit board 52; the rear edge of the connecting arm 45 is provided with a bent contact portion 46 which is bent and extended backward toward the first housing 21, the bent contact portion 46 horizontally abuts against the inner side surface of the first housing 21, and the first housing 21 and the second housing 22 are contacted and grounded with the circuit board 52, thereby forming a good electromagnetic shielding effect.
Further, a positioning column 19 protruding outwards is arranged on one surface of the plastic body 37 close to the first shell 21, a positioning hole 26 which is matched and symmetrical with the positioning column 19 is formed in the first shell 21, and the positioning column 19 penetrates through the positioning hole 26.
In the present embodiment, the fixing shell 31 is sleeved on the tongue plate seat 12, and one end of the tongue plate seat 12 away from the first housing 21 extends outside the fixing shell 31; the middle part of the fixed shell 31 is provided with a step 32, the fixed shell 31 is provided with a silica gel ring 33, and the silica gel ring 33 surrounds the step 32. The silicone ring 33 is used to seal the gap between the outer surface of the stationary housing 31 and the housing 51 when the electrical connector is assembled in the housing 51.
The assembly manufacturing process of the electrical connector of the present invention is as follows (see fig. 11, 12):

s2, injecting and encircling the step 32 of the fixed shell 31 to cover a silica gel ring 33, wherein the silica gel ring 33 covers the step surface of the step 32;
s3, a fixed shell 31 with a silica gel ring 33 is sleeved on the tongue plate seat 12 of the connecting seat 11, the end parts of the first shell 21 and the second shell 22 (the first shielding part 28 and the second shielding part 48) are embedded and clamped into the fixed shell 31, and the rear half part of the fixed shell 31 is covered on the outer sides of the first concave folding part 27 and the second concave folding part 47;
Of course, after the fixing shell 31 is sleeved on the tongue plate seat 12 of the connecting seat 11, a silica gel ring 33 which is covered by surrounding is injected to the step 32 of the fixing shell 31;
S4, glue is filled in a space surrounded by the first concave folded part 27, the second concave folded part 47, the rear half part of the fixing shell 31, the plastic body 37 and the tongue plate seat 12, and the space is a penetrating glue filling groove, so that the glue can be filled once and the waterproof glue 34 formed after glue filling wraps the terminal assembly 13 positioned between the plastic body 37 and the tongue plate seat 12.
