Abstract
The invention relates to a processing method of a casting die platen, which comprises the steps of firstly placing and clamping a casting die body, processing the reverse side and a platen groove of the die, secondly replacing a reverse side cutter in a die cavity, namely below the platen table, mounting a cutter handle of the reverse side cutter on a cutter shaft of a machine tool through the platen groove of the platen table, and driving the reverse side cutter to directly cut and process the lower side of the platen table by utilizing the cutter shaft of the machine tool; and thirdly, replacing the reverse side cutter to chamfer the reverse side chamfering cutter to complete the whole processing. The method improves the processing efficiency, reduces the processing period, ensures the processing quality, needs 15 minutes and only 5 minutes for completing one piece in the original processing method, and has the processing quality, precision and tolerance within the same reference range due to one-time clamping.

Technical Field

Background
The casting mould can generate a rough surface during casting, and the back surface 2 of the mould and the platen 4 must be processed to be smooth during use, so the casting mould needs to be processed; the platen table 4 is a platform for clamping a casting mold, the reverse side 2 of the mold must be processed to be flat when the mold is used, and the platen table 4 must be processed simultaneously because the platen table 4 is an irregular rough surface after casting.
The existing processing method of the platen table 4 comprises the steps of firstly processing the reverse side 2 of the die and the platen groove 3, after the reverse side 2 of the die is processed, changing to horizontal milling to process and chamfer the platen table 4, turning the die when the horizontal milling is processed, placing the reverse side 2 of the die on a numerical control machine, and processing by using a tool.
The process flow is as follows: processing the back surface 2 of the mold and the pressure plate groove 3 → changing horizontal milling → turning the mold → clamping the mold → processing the pressure plate table 4.
The method needs to clamp the die again, uses two milling machines to process, and needs to turn over the die after replacing the horizontal milling machine, and clamp again, which wastes time and labor, and needs more than 15 minutes to finish one piece.
