The invention discloses a material model management method for a SolidWorks system, and relates to the technical field of data management. Acquiring a target material model of a target part, and extracting attribute marks hidden by the target material model; the attribute mark is mark information which is added when the design of the target material model is finished and is used for uniquely identifying the target material model; if the attribute mark is extracted, judging the operation type of the target material model according to the attribute mark; and updating the target material model or the attribute mark according to the operation type. Due to the fact that the attribute marks are hidden, designers cannot modify the attribute marks, the condition of one object with multiple codes can be judged through the attribute marks, the condition of a large number of objects with multiple codes in systems such as PLM and ERP is reduced, the designers can use the data tracing comparison function of the systems such as the PLM and the ERP, and design efficiency is improved.

Background
The SolidWorks system can provide different design schemes, reduce errors in the design process, improve the product quality, and is simple and convenient to operate, easy to learn and use for each engineer and designer. So that SolidWorks has become the mainstream three-dimensional CAD application software.
Due to some reasons such as misoperation and unfamiliarity with the enterprise standard part library, a designer may rename an originally borrowed material model to form a new material model or modify the attributes of the material model.
