Abstract

本申请公开了一种通信方法及设备，用以解决引用IAB技术的通信系统中用户面资源浪费的问题。在该方案中，终端设备可以向会话管理网元发送第一指示，以指示所述会话管理网元在所述终端设备的会话建立过程中，为自身分配AN侧资源且不为自身配置CN资源；或者在建立终端设备的会话后，会话管理网元指示AN设备和用户面网元释放为所述终端设备配置的CN侧资源。这样，所述会话管理网元可以在会话建立过程中避免为所述终端设备分配CN侧资源，或者在为所述终端设备分配CN侧资源后及时释放该CN侧资源，从而可以避免所述终端设备的CN侧资源浪费。
