本申请涉及一种通信方法及装置。终端设备向网络设备发送第一上行数据。在发送第一上行数据后,在第一时长内,终端设备在第一搜索空间监听第一下行控制信道,在第一时长结束后且在第二时长内,终端设备在第二搜索空间监听第二下行控制信道。第二搜索空间的周期的长度大于第一搜索空间的周期的长度,则终端设备按照第二搜索空间监听第二下行控制信道的频率较低。因此,通过设置周期较大的第二搜索空间,可以节省终端设备监听下行控制信道的功耗。
