Abstract
The invention relates to a method for switching Profile of a terminal, an eSIM card and a terminal, belonging to the technical field of eSIM cards, wherein the method comprises the following steps: s1, initializing the RAM of the eSIM card after the terminal is reset; s2, after the terminal is in cold reset, acquiring a default Profile identification from a first storage space in an EEPROM of the eSIM card; after the terminal is reset, acquiring a first Profile identification from a second storage space in an RAM of the eSIM card; s3, starting the corresponding Profile according to the default Profile identification or the first Profile identification, so that the terminal accesses the corresponding network through the Profile; s4, writing a second Profile identification into a second storage space in the RAM according to the Profile switching instruction; s5, terminal hot reset, RAM initialization, and second storage space non-initialization; and S6, acquiring a second Profile identifier from a second storage space of the RAM, and starting a corresponding second Profile according to the second Profile identifier, so that the terminal accesses the corresponding network through the second Profile. Technical Field
The invention belongs to the technical field of eSIM cards, and particularly relates to a method for switching profiles by a terminal, an eSIM card and a terminal.
Background
The eSIM is a device that can store profiles of multiple operators, and may be compliant with the eUICC specification proposed by GSMA, or may be a proprietary implementation. Only one of the profiles of the multiple operators is in an effective state in the same time, and when the external world reads the network related files, the contents of the profiles in the effective state are read.
Due to changes in the network environment or some practical requirements, frequent switching between different profiles is required. When switching between different numbers, there are generally two schemes: 1. setting a valid identifier: which Profile is configured to be in a valid state, the identity of the Profile is noted; 2. brushing a file: which Profile is configured to be active, the relevant files for that Profile are brushed to the fixed file area. With the two schemes, the service life of the chip can be shortened when the number is switched every time.

s5, carrying out terminal hot reset, then initializing the RAM of the eSIM card, and not initializing the second storage space;
s6, acquiring a second Profile identifier from a second storage space of the RAM, and starting a corresponding second Profile according to the second Profile identifier, so that the terminal accesses the corresponding network through the second Profile.
Further, according to the method for switching profiles by the terminal, the EEPROM of the eSIM card is provided with the first storage space, and the first storage space stores therein a default Profile identifier for use in cold reset of the terminal.
Further, in the method for switching Profile by a terminal, the default Profile identifier is configured through an instruction.
Further, according to the method for switching Profile by the terminal, the RAM of the eSIM card is provided with the second storage space, and the second storage space is used for storing a currently valid Profile identifier.
Further, in the method for switching Profile by the terminal as described above, after the terminal is reset in step S1, the time division of the initialization RAM is divided into two cases:
when the RAM is initialized after the terminal is in cold reset, the second storage space in the RAM is also initialized at the same time;
and when the RAM is initialized after the terminal is reset, the second storage space in the RAM is not initialized.

A terminal comprising a memory, a processor and a computer program stored in the memory and executable on the processor, the processor implementing the steps of the method for switching profiles of a terminal as described above when executing the computer program.
The method for switching the Profile by the terminal, the eSIM card and the terminal have the following remarkable technical effects:
the invention stores the default Profile identification by adding a special storage space in the EEPROM, stores the current effective Profile identification by adding a special storage space in the RAM, does not initialize the special storage space in the RAM when the terminal is reset, adopts the mode of setting the effective identification when the Profile is switched, and can not influence the service life of the eSIM card no matter how many times the number is switched under the scene of frequently switching the number.

The invention is further described with reference to specific embodiments and drawings.
The invention provides a method for switching profiles by a terminal, an eSIM card and the terminal, which can realize the rapid switching among a plurality of profiles without influencing the service life of the eSIM card. The details will be described below.
Fig. 1 shows a schematic structural diagram of an eSIM card according to an embodiment of the present invention, where a data memory (EEPROM) and a working memory (RAM) are integrated in the eSIM card, and profiles of multiple operators are stored in the EEPROM, where:
the EEPROM is provided with a first storage space used for storing a default Profile identification to be used in the cold reset of the terminal. The identification may be an ID or other Profile-distinguishable value, and a default Profile identification may be configured via the instruction. And when the Profile is switched every time, the default Profile identification in the first storage space is not updated.
And a second storage space is arranged in the RAM and is used for storing the currently effective Profile identification. When the terminal is in cold reset, the RAM is initialized, the second storage space is also initialized, and the identification data of the Profile in the RAM is removed; when the terminal is reset, the RAM is initialized, but the second storage space is reserved for not initializing, and the identification data of the Profile in the second storage space is not cleared. And updating the Profile identifier in the second storage space when the Profile is switched every time.
Fig. 2 shows a flowchart of a method for switching Profile by a terminal according to an embodiment of the present invention, where the method includes the following steps:
s1, initializing the RAM after the terminal is reset;
specifically, when the terminal initializes the RAM in a cold reset mode, the second storage space in the RAM is also initialized at the same time, and Profile identification data in the second storage space is removed;
and when the terminal is reset to initialize the RAM in a hot mode, a second storage space in the RAM is not initialized, and Profile identification data in the second storage space are reserved.
S2, acquiring a default Profile identifier from a first storage space of the EEPROM after the terminal is in cold reset; after the terminal is reset, acquiring a first Profile identifier from a second storage space of the RAM;
a plurality of profiles are stored in the eSIM card; a default Profile identifier to be used in terminal cold reset is stored in a first storage space of the EEPROM, wherein the identifier can be a Profile ID or other values capable of distinguishing the Profile, and can be configured through an instruction; and the second storage spaces of the RAM are all stored with the first Profile identification written in last before the terminal is reset by heat.
After the terminal is in cold reset and RAM initialization is completed, data in a second storage space of the RAM are cleared, and the terminal acquires a default Profile identifier from a first storage space of the EEPROM; and after the terminal is reset in a hot mode and RAM initialization is completed, the terminal acquires a first Profile identification from a second storage space of the RAM.
S3, starting the corresponding Profile according to the default Profile identification or the first Profile identification, so that the terminal accesses the corresponding network through the Profile;
and starting which Profile is in an effective state, and other profiles are in an ineffective state, and the terminal accesses the corresponding network through the Profile.
And S4, writing the second Profile identification into a second storage space in the RAM according to the Profile switching instruction.
The Profile switching instruction can be actively initiated by a user at any time according to requirements or automatically initiated by a terminal. And updating the Profile identifier in the second storage space in the RAM according to the Profile switching instruction, and replacing the identifier of the current Profile with the identifier of the target Profile.
S5, terminal hot reset, initializing RAM;
s6, acquiring a second Profile identifier from a second storage space of the RAM, and starting a corresponding second Profile according to the second Profile identifier, so that the terminal accesses the corresponding network through the second Profile.
Fig. 3 shows a flowchart of a method for switching Profile when the terminal is in cold reset, and the method includes:
initializing the RAM after the terminal is in cold reset, and simultaneously initializing a second storage space in the RAM;
acquiring a default Profile identifier from a first storage space of the EEPROM;
starting the corresponding Profile according to the default Profile identification, so that the terminal accesses the corresponding network through the default Profile;
updating the Profile identifier in the second storage space in the RAM according to the Profile switching instruction, and replacing the identifier of the current Profile with the identifier of the target Profile;
and then, entering a first step of a process of switching the Profile when the terminal is reset.
Fig. 4 is a flowchart of a method for switching Profile when a terminal is reset, and the method includes:
initializing the RAM after the terminal is reset, wherein a second storage space in the RAM is not initialized;
acquiring a current Profile identifier from a second storage space of the RAM;
starting the corresponding Profile according to the current Profile identification, so that the terminal accesses the network through the current Profile;
updating the Profile identifier in the second storage space in the RAM according to the Profile switching instruction, and replacing the identifier of the current Profile with the identifier of the target Profile;
thereafter, the warm reset procedure is repeated.
The invention also provides a terminal device comprising a memory, a processor and a computer program stored in said memory and executable on said processor. The processor, when executing the computer program, implements the steps of the method for switching Profile of the terminal as described above, for example, steps S1-S6 shown in fig. 2.
According to the method for switching the Profi le by the terminal, the eSIM card and the terminal, the default Profi le identification is stored by additionally arranging the special storage space in the EEPROM, the currently effective Profi le identification is stored by additionally arranging the special storage space in the RAM, the special storage space in the RAM is not initialized when the terminal is in a hot reset, and the effective identification setting mode is adopted when the Profi le is switched, so that the service life of the eSIM card is not influenced no matter how many times the number is switched in a scene of frequently switching the number.

Claims (8)
1. A method for switching Profile by a terminal comprises the following steps:
s1, initializing the RAM of the eSIM card after the terminal is reset;
s2, after the terminal is in cold reset, acquiring a default Profile identification from a first storage space in an EEPROM of the eSIM card; after the terminal is reset, acquiring a first Profile identification from a second storage space in an RAM of the eSIM card;
s3, starting the corresponding Profile according to the default Profile identification or the first Profile identification, so that the terminal accesses the corresponding network through the Profile;
s4, writing a second Profile identification into a second storage space in the RAM according to the Profile switching instruction;
s5, carrying out terminal hot reset, then initializing the RAM of the eSIM card, and not initializing the second storage space;
s6, obtaining a second Profile identification from a second storage space of the RAM, and starting a corresponding second Profile according to the second Profile identification, so that the terminal accesses the corresponding network through the second Profile.
2. The method for switching profiles by a terminal according to claim 1, wherein the first storage space is provided in an EEPROM of the eSIM card, and a default Profile identifier for a terminal to use in a cold reset is stored in the first storage space.
3. The method of switching Profile by terminal of claim 2, wherein the default Profile identification is configured by an instruction.
4. The method for switching profiles by a terminal according to claim 2, wherein the RAM of the eSIM card is provided with the second storage space, and the second storage space is used for storing a currently valid Profile identifier.
5. The method for switching Profile of a terminal according to claim 4, wherein after the terminal is reset in step S1, the time division of the initialization RAM is divided into two cases:
when the RAM is initialized after the terminal is in cold reset, the second storage space in the RAM is also initialized at the same time;

a second storage space is arranged in the RAM, and the second storage space is used for storing the currently effective Profile identification;
the second storage space is initialized when the terminal is cold reset and not initialized when the terminal is warm reset.
8. A terminal comprising a memory, a processor and a computer program stored in the memory and executable on the processor, characterized in that the processor implements the steps of the method according to any of claims 1 to 6 when executing the computer program.
