At present, FRP rod materials in the market are mainly thermosetting, and resin matrixes (such as epoxy resin) of the FRP rod materials have the advantages of high rigidity, high hardness, good dimensional stability of products and the like. However, the molecular chain of the thermosetting resin is in a three-dimensional net structure, so that the thermosetting resin is high in brittleness and poor in impact resistance; in addition, the thermosetting resin is easy to absorb water and hydrolyze, and has poor corrosion resistance. In contrast, the molecular chain of the thermoplastic resin is in a planar linear structure, so that the thermoplastic resin has good toughness; in addition, the thermoplastic resin is heated, melted, cooled and solidified only by a physical process, so that the production efficiency is high, and the waste materials can be processed secondarily. The advantages enable the thermoplastic composite material to be more suitable for replacing steel to be applied to the ocean engineering structure, for example, longitudinal stress ribs and horizontal stirrups in a concrete structure are replaced by the thermoplastic composite material ribs, so that the durability and the economical efficiency of the material in the service process and the safety and the environmental protection of the ocean engineering structure are improved.
At present, raw materials used in the preparation process of continuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic composite materials mainly comprise fiber bundles and prepreg tapes. Pultrusion is a molding process for preparing composite products by using fiber bundles, and refers to a method for preparing composite materials by impregnating continuous fibers with resin and passing the impregnated continuous fibers through a molding die under the action of a traction device. However, the viscosity of the thermoplastic resin is 1000 times that of the thermosetting resin, and the high-viscosity thermoplastic resin is difficult to uniformly impregnate the fiber. Compared with the prior art, the sheet-shaped prepreg tape can be uniformly impregnated with resin into fiber bundles, and the composite material product prepared by using the prepreg tape has the characteristics of low porosity and high impregnation degree. The process for preparing the composite material by utilizing the thermoplastic prepreg tape mainly comprises compression molding and winding molding. Compression molding (also called compression molding or compression molding) is an operation of putting a blank to be molded into a mold cavity at a molding temperature, closing the mold, and pressurizing to mold and cure the blank.
