Description

Multi-link equipment connection management method, device, equipment and storage medium
Technical Field
The present application relates to the field of wireless communications, and in particular, to a method, an apparatus, a device, and a storage medium for managing a multi-link device connection.
Background
In the 802.11 system, an access device (AP STA) and a terminal (Non-AP STA) are both internally deployed with a MAC layer and a PHY layer, wherein the main functions of the MAC layer include channel management, connection management, quality of service management, power control, time synchronization, and the like, and the main functions of the PHY layer include modulation, coding, transmission, and the like.
Both the MAC layer and the PHY layer conceptually include management entities referred to as medium access layer management entity mlme (MAC sublayer management entity) and physical layer management entity plme (PHY sublayer management entity), respectively. These entities provide low-level management service interfaces through which low-level management functions can be invoked.
In order to provide correct MAC operation, each device (including Non-AP STA and AP STA) has a higher management entity, such as SME (device management entity), which represents a higher management entity above the MAC layer, is a layer-independent entity, and is located in a separate management plane.
The function of SME: typically, this entity is responsible for functions such as collecting layer-related state from various layer management entities (MLME and PLME), which similarly also sets layer-specific parameter values. SMEs typically perform such functions on behalf of a general system management entity. The layers interact with each other through defined primitives. FIG. 1 depicts the relationships between management entities.
802.11be networks, also known as Extreme High Throughput (EHT) networks, are enhanced by a range of system features and a variety of mechanisms to achieve very High Throughput. As the use of Wireless Local Area Networks (WLANs) continues to grow, it becomes increasingly important to provide wireless data services in many environments, such as homes, businesses, and hot spots. In particular, video traffic will continue to be the dominant type of traffic in many WLAN deployments. With the advent of 4k and 8k video (uncompressed rates of 20 Gbps), the throughput requirements for these applications are constantly evolving. New high throughput, low latency applications such as virtual reality or augmented reality, gaming, remote offices, and cloud computing will proliferate (e.g., latency for real-time gaming is less than 5 milliseconds).
In view of the high throughput and stringent real-time latency requirements of these applications, users expect higher throughput, higher reliability, less latency and jitter, and higher power efficiency when supporting their applications over a WLAN. Users desire improved integration with Time Sensitive Networks (TSNs) to support applications on heterogeneous ethernet and wireless LANs. 802.11be networks aim to ensure the competitiveness of WLANs by further increasing overall throughput and reducing latency, while ensuring backward compatibility and coexistence with legacy technology standards. 802.11 compatible devices operating in the 2.4GHz, 5GHz and 6GHz bands.
Disclosure of Invention
The multi-link access device can flexibly set the logic access points on a plurality of links on different frequency bands, for example, the logic access points are only set on the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz frequency bands after initial startup, and then the number of the accessed devices is increased, and a new logic access point is added to operate on the 6Ghz frequency band. And if the access equipment is reduced along with the change of time, canceling the logic access point on the 6GHz frequency band, for example, when the interference on 2.4GHz is found to be large in the operation process, canceling the logic access point on the 2.4GHz frequency band, and adding the logic access point operated on the 6GHz frequency band. s101, a multilink access device AP MLD sends a connection response message or a disconnection message to a multilink terminal STA MLD, and sets a state parameter value of the STA MLD, wherein the connection response message indicates whether connection establishment is allowed or not.
Specifically, the AP MLD and the STA MLD may each store a STATE parameter of the other party, for example, the AP MLD stores a STATE parameter STA _ STATE of the STA MLD, and the STA MLD stores a STATE parameter AP _ STATE of the AP MLD.
In some embodiments, the AP MLD may indicate the operation range in the connection response message or the disconnection message, if the AP MLD only wants to disconnect on a link on which the STA MLD currently requests to establish a connection or only wants to disconnect on a link on which the disconnection message is currently sent, or if the AP MLD determines that there is a link connection with the STA MLD, the operation range is indicated as a link in the connection response message or the disconnection message, if the AP MLD does not want to connect on all links or wants to disconnect on all links, or if the AP MLD determines that there is no link connection with the STA MLD, the operation range is indicated as a basic service set in the connection response message or the disconnection message. If the connection response message indicates that the connection establishment is not approved and the operation range is the link, or the disconnection response message indicates that the operation range is the link, the AP MLD sets the value of the STA _ STATE to be in a connected STATE; if the connection response message indicates that the connection establishment is not approved and the operating range is the basic service set, or the disconnection response message indicates that the operating range is the basic service set, the AP MLD sets the value of the STA _ STATE to the disconnected STATE. If the connection response message indicates agreement to establish a connection, the AP MLD sets the value of STA _ STATE to a connected STATE.
In some other embodiments, the AP MLD may also set the value of the STA _ STATE according to a connection STATE with the STA MLD, specifically, if the AP MLD and the STA MLD have link connection, the AP MLD sets the value of the STA _ STATE to a connected STATE; if the AP MLD and the STA MLD are not in link connection, the AP MLD sets the value of the STA _ STATE to be in a non-connection STATE.
And S102, after the STA MLD receives the connection response message or the disconnection message sent by the AP MLD, setting the value of the state parameter of the AP MLD.
In some embodiments, the STA MLD may set the value of the AP _ STATE according to information in the connection response message or the disconnection message, specifically, if the connection response message indicates that the connection is not approved and the operating range is the link, or the disconnection message indicates that the operating range is the link, the STA MLD sets the value of the AP _ STATE to the connected STATE; if the connection response message indicates that the connection is not approved and the operation range is the basic service set, or the disconnection response message indicates that the operation range is the basic service set, the STA MLD sets the value of the AP _ STATE to be in a non-connection STATE; if the connection response message indicates agreement to establish a connection, the STA MLD sets the value of AP _ STATE to a connected STATE.
In some other embodiments, the STA MLD may also set the value of the STA _ STATE according to the connection STATE with the AP MLD, specifically, if the STA MLD has a link connection with the AP MLD, the STA MLD sets the value of the AP _ STATE to be in a connected STATE; if the STA MLD and the AP MLD are not in link connection, the STA MLD sets the value of the AP _ STATE to be in a non-connection STATE.
Before the AP MLD sends the connection response message to the STA MLD, the following steps may be further included:
and S1001. the AP MLD sends information of the newly added link to the STA MLD.
The AP MLD may include information of the newly added link in the broadcast message, or may send a dedicated message to the STA MLD, where the dedicated message includes information of the newly added link.
S1002, after receiving information of a new link sent by an AP MLD, if new connection is determined to be established, the STA MLD sends a connection request message to the AP MLD on a first link, wherein the connection request message indicates the STA MLD to request for establishing the connected link, and the first link belongs to the new link.
And S1003. the AP MLD receives the connection request message sent by the STA MLD on the first link.
It should be understood that the connection request message in steps S1002 and S1003 may be an Association request message or a Association request message. Accordingly, the connection response message in steps S101 and S102 may be an Association response message or a re-Association response message.
For a better understanding of the present application, the present application is described below with reference to a specific embodiment. In this embodiment, it is assumed that the STA MLD has three logical terminals STA1, STA2, and STA3, the AP MLD has three logical access points AP1, AP2, and AP3, after the power-on operation, the AP1 is set to operate in the 2.4GHz band, the Link identifier is set to Link 1, the AP2 is set to operate in the 5GHz band, the Link identifier is set to Link 2, and the AP3 does not operate.
Establishing connection between a multi-Link terminal STA MLD and a multi-Link access device AP MLD, wherein the STA1 is connected with an AP1, and a Link mark between the STA and the AP is Link 1; STA2 is connected to AP2, and the Link between them is identified as Link 2. Illustratively, the manner of establishing the connection includes the steps of:
s201.STA1 sends a connection request message (such as an Association request message) to the AP1, wherein the message includes a Multi link element information element, and exemplarily, the Multi link element information element includes parameters shown in Table 1. The information contained herein is used to indicate to the AP MLD that multiple link connections are requested to be established.

Link ID STA info
Link 1 Capability information and/or operational information of STA1
Link 2 Capability information and/or operational information of STA2
Wherein, Link ID is used for indicating Link identification; the STA info is used to set information of the logical terminal.
At s202, after receiving the connection request message, if the STA1 is granted the connection request, the ap1 sends a connection response message (e.g., Association response message) to the STA1, where the message indicates that the connection establishment is granted, and the connection response message includes a Multi link element information element, which includes, for example, the parameters shown in table 2.
TABLE 2
Link ID AP info
Link 1 Capability information and/or operational information of AP1
Link 2 Capability information and/or operational information of the AP2
Wherein, Link ID is used for indicating Link identification; the AP info is used to set information of the logical access point.
If the connection request of STA1 is not approved, a connection response message is sent to STA1 indicating that the connection is not approved. In the embodiment of the present application, it is assumed that the connection response message indicates agreement to establish a connection.
And S203, after the STA1 receives the connection response message, if the connection establishment is agreed by the indication in the message, the connection establishment between the multi-link terminal STA MLD and the multi-link access equipment AP MLD is represented, the STA MLD stores the received link information and the information of the AP, and data transmission is carried out according to the information of the AP.
S204, after the connection is established, the STA MLD sets a parameter AP _ STATE value of the STATE of the locally set AP MLD as STATE _ B; the AP MLD sets a parameter STA _ STATE value of the STATE of the STA MLD which is locally stored as STATE _ B; the value STATE _ B indicates a connected STATE.
After the AP MLD operates for a period of time, when detecting that the number of terminals connected to the device is large or the traffic data volume of the terminal is large, determining to enable the AP3 and operate the AP3 on a 6GHz frequency band, where an operating Link is identified as Link 3, the AP MLD sends information of a newly added Link 3 to the STA MLD, and after the STA MLD receives the information, the STA MLD can reconfigure a Link according to its own requirements, which specifically includes:
and S301, the AP MLD includes the information of the newly added link in a broadcast message (such as beacon message) or a probe response message (probe response message) sent by the AP1 and/or the AP2, as shown in Table 3.
TABLE 3
Link ID AP info
Link 3 Capability information and/or operational information of the AP3
Alternatively, the first and second electrodes may be,
the AP MLD sends a proprietary message to STA1 via its affiliated AP1 or to STA2 via its affiliated STA2, which contains the same information as above to inform STA MLD that a link is newly added.
S302, after the STA MLD learns that a link is added to the AP MLD through a broadcast message or a detection response message or a proprietary message, whether to request to establish a new link is determined according to a self strategy, for example, if the self service needs higher transmission rate or lower transmission delay, whether a logic terminal which is idle and not used exists or not is determined, and if the determination is negative, the following operations are not executed; if the determination is that the STA MLD uses the logical terminal STA3 to establish a connection on a new link, in the embodiment of the present application, an Association request message or a Association request message is sent to the logical access point AP3 belonging to the AP MLD via the STA3, where the Association request message or the Association request message includes a Multi link element information element, and for example, the Multi link element information element includes parameters shown in table 4.

S303. after receiving the Association request message or the Association request message, the AP MLD,
if the STA3 is accepted to establish connection with the AP3, setting the parameter status code value to SUCCESS, indicating that connection establishment is agreed, keeping the value of the parameter STA _ STATE to STATE _ B, and sending an Association response message or a re-Association response message to the STA MLD, wherein the message contains the parameter status code. Optionally, the AP MLD may further include a parameter scope in the Association response or the re-Association response message, where the parameter scope is used to indicate the operation range and set its value to indicate that the operation range is a link or a basic service set, and keep the value of the parameter STA _ STATE as STATE _ B.
If the STA3 is not accepted to establish connection with the AP3, setting the value of the parameter status code to Non-Success, indicating that connection establishment is not agreed, keeping the value of the parameter STA _ STATE to be STATE _ B, and sending an Association response or a re-Association response message to the STA MLD, wherein the message contains the parameter status code. Optionally, the AP MLD may further include a parameter scope in the Association response message or the re-Association response message, and set the value of the parameter STA _ STATE to STATE _ B if the parameter scope indicates that the operation range is the link, and set the value of the parameter STA _ STATE to STATE _ a if the parameter scope indicates that the operation range is the basic service set, which indicates a non-connection STATE.
S304. after the sta MLD receives the Association response message or the re-Association response message,
if the status code value in the message is SUCCESS, the STA3 and the AP3 are in a connection STATE, and the value of the parameter AP _ STATE is kept as STATE _ B;
if the status code value in the message is not SUCCESS, the STA3 and the AP3 are in an unconnected STATE, and if the Association response message or the re-Association response message does not contain the parameter scope, the value of the parameter AP _ STATE is maintained as STATE _ B; if the Association response message or the re-Association response message contains the parameter scope, when the parameter scope indicates that the operation range is the link, the value of the parameter AP _ STATE is set to STATE _ B, and when the parameter scope indicates that the operation range is the basic service set, the value of the parameter AP _ STATE is set to STATE _ a.
After running for a period of time, if the AP MLD decides to stop running the AP3, further comprising:
s401.AP MLD may send a disconnect message (e.g., a disassociation message) to STA3 through AP 3.

TABLE 5
Figure BDA0003420207220000141
The AP MLD may set a value of STA _ STATE according to a connection STATE with the STA MLD. Specifically, if the AP MLD and the STA MLD have other link connections, for example, in the embodiment of the present application, the STA1 and the AP1 have further connections, and the STA2 and the AP2 have further connections, the value of the parameter STA _ STATE is maintained as STATE _ B; if the AP MLD and the STA MLD are not connected with each other, the value of the parameter STA _ STATE is set to STATE _ A, and the non-connection STATE is represented.
In some other embodiments, the disconnect message may include a parameter scope, and if the parameter scope indicates that the operation scope is the link, the parameter STA _ STATE is set to have a value of STATE _ B, and if the parameter scope indicates that the operation scope is the basic service set, the parameter STA _ STATE is set to have a value of STATE _ a.
Optionally, after the SME of the AP MLD receives the disconnection confirmation primitive, if the AP MLD and the STA MLD have other links connected, the SME of the AP MLD reserves a PTKSA (pairwise temporary security association key) for communicating with the STA MLD, and deletes a GTK (group temporary key), an IGTK (integrity group temporary key) and a BIGTK (beacon integrity group temporary key) on Link 3 for communicating with the STA MLD; and if the AP MLD and the STA MLD are not connected with the link, deleting the PTKSA, the GTK, the IGTK and the BIGTK used for communicating with the STA MLD.
If the disconnection message contains the parameter scope, when the parameter scope indicates that the operation range is the Link, the PTKSA used for communicating with the STA MLD is reserved, and the GTK, the IGTK and the BIGTK used for communicating with the STA MLD on the Link 3 are deleted; when the parameter scope indicates that the operation scope is the basic service set, the PTKSA, GTK, IGTK, and BIGTK for use in communication with the STA MLD are deleted.
And S402, after the STA MLD receives the disconnection message, setting the value of the AP _ STATE.
In some embodiments, the STA MLD may set the value of the AP _ STATE according to the connection status with the AP MLD. Specifically, if the STA MLD and the AP MLD have other links connected, the value of the parameter AP _ STATE is maintained as STATE _ B; if the STA MLD and the AP MLD are not connected with the link, the value of the parameter AP _ STATE is set to STATE _ A.
In some other embodiments, the STA MLD may set the value of AP _ STATE according to information in the disconnect message. Specifically, the disconnection message includes a parameter scope, and if the parameter scope indicates that the operation range is the link, the value of the parameter STA _ STATE is set to STATE _ B, and if the parameter scope indicates that the operation range is the basic service set, the value of the parameter STA _ STATE is set to STATE _ a.

If the disconnection message contains the parameter scope, when the parameter scope indicates that the operation range is the Link, the PTKSA used for communicating with the AP MLD is reserved, and the GTK, the IGTK and the BIGTK used for communicating with the AP MLD on the Link 3 are deleted; when the parameter scope indicates that the operation scope is the basic service set, the PTKSA, GTK, IGTK, and BIGTK used for communication with the AP MLD are deleted.
In some embodiments, after the STA MLD and the AP MLD establish a connection on Link 1 and Link 2, the STA MLD locally sets a parameter Logical _ STATE _ AP1 and a parameter Logical _ STATE _ AP2, where the parameter is used to indicate a connection status of a Logical access point of the connected AP MLD and is set to a value of Logical _ STATE _ AP1 ═ STATE _ B and a value of Logical _ STATE _ AP2 ═ STATE _ B; the AP MLD also sets locally a parameter Logical _ STATE _ STA1 and a Logical _ STATE _ STA2 for indicating a connection STATE of a Logical terminal of the connected STA MLD, and its values are set to Logical _ STATE _ STA1 ═ STATE _ B and Logical _ STATE _ STA2 ═ STATE _ B.
In step S303, the AP MLD also sets a parameter Logical _ STATE _ STA3 locally, and if it is accepted that the STA3 establishes a connection with the AP3, sets the value to Logical _ STATE _ STA3 ═ STATE _ B; if the STA3 is not accepted to establish a connection with the AP3, its value is set to Logical _ STATE _ STA3 ═ STATE _ a.
In step S304, the STA MLD further sets a parameter Logical _ STATE _ AP3 locally, and if the status code value in the message is SUCCESS, sets the value to Logical _ STATE _ AP3 ═ STATE _ B; if the status code value in the message is not SUCCESS, it is set to Logical _ STATE _ AP3 ═ STATE _ a.
In step S401, the AP MLD further sets the value of the parameter Logical _ STATE _ STA3 to STATE _ a, and if the value of the parameter Logical _ STATE _ STA1 or Logical _ STATE _ STA2 is STATE _ B, the AP MLD keeps the value of STA _ STATE to STATE _ B; if the values of the parameters Logical _ STATE _ STA1, Logical _ STATE _ STA2, and Logical _ STATE _ STA3 are both STATE _ a, the AP MLD sets the value of STA _ STATE to STATE _ a.
In step S402, the STA MLD further sets the value of the parameter Logical _ STATE _ AP3 to STATE _ a, and if the value of the parameter Logical _ STATE _ AP1 or Logical _ STATE _ AP2 is STATE _ B, the STA MLD keeps the value of AP _ STATE to STATE _ B; if the values of the parameters Logical _ STATE _ AP1, Logical _ STATE _ AP2, and Logical _ STATE _ AP3 are all STATE _ a, the STA MLD sets the value of AP _ STATE to STATE _ a.
