Abstract

The invention provides a light-emitting touch pad, which is applied to an electronic device. The light-emitting touch panel comprises a light guide plate, a reflecting plate and a circuit substrate. The light guide plate is arranged below the top cover of the light-emitting touch panel. The reflecting plate is arranged under the light guide plate. The reflection plate is coated with a pigment of the same color as the housing. The circuit substrate is disposed under the reflection plate. The circuit substrate has at least one light emitting unit. The light-emitting unit is positioned at one side of the light guide plate and used for outputting light rays to enter the light guide plate so as to illuminate the top cover. The top cover is made of a high light transmittance material.

Technical Field
The present invention provides a light-emitting touch panel, and more particularly, to a light-emitting touch panel with a better brightness.
Background
With the vigorous development of the electronic competition industry, the electronic competition notebook computer designs a touch pad with a light-emitting function on an operation interface, but the notebook computer is required to have a consistent visual appearance, i.e. the color of the touch pad is the same as or similar to the color of a casing of the notebook computer. The color of the shell is usually dark color system such as black, gray or dark blue; if the touch panel is also coated with a dark color pigment on the top cover, the number of light emitting units of the backlight module needs to be increased to provide sufficient brightness. However, increasing the number of light emitting units greatly increases the product cost, and requires higher power consumption and a corresponding additional heat dissipation element. Therefore, how to design a backlight module and a light-emitting touch panel thereof, which can improve the brightness without increasing the number of light-emitting units, is a development goal of the related pen and television industries.
Disclosure of Invention
In view of the problems in the prior art, the present invention provides a light-emitting touch panel to solve the above problems.
Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a light-emitting touch panel applied to an electronic device, the light-emitting touch panel being disposed in a housing of the electronic device, the light-emitting touch panel comprising:

Compared with the prior art, the light-emitting touch control panel has the advantages that the light transmittance of the top cover is improved, and the coating color adjustment of the protective plate and/or the reflecting plate of the backlight module is matched, so that the light-emitting touch control panel still has the appearance which is consistent with that of a dark shell under the condition of providing high-brightness backlight brightness. The top cover of the first embodiment is made of transparent or light-colored high-transmittance material, and the backlight module is coated with dark color pigment on the reflecting plate to provide a dark appearance consistent with that of the shell. The top cover of the second embodiment is also made of transparent or light-colored high-transmittance material, and the backlight module is coated with dark color pigment on the protective plate, so that the dark color appearance consistent with that of the shell member is provided. The top cover of the third embodiment is designed to be a high light transmittance material with a dark color, and the backlight module does not need to additionally coat the reflective plate and/or the protective plate with a dark color pigment.

Detailed Description
In order to further understand the objects, structures, features, and functions of the present invention, the following embodiments are described in detail.
Referring to fig. 1, fig. 1 is an exploded view of an electronic device according to an embodiment of the invention. A light-emitting touch pad 16 may be disposed between the first casing 12 and the second casing 14 of the electronic device 10. The light-emitting touch panel 16 includes a backlight module 18, a top cover 20, and other electronic components (not shown) for performing a touch function of the light-emitting touch panel 16. The top cover 20 of the light-emitting touch panel 16 can be fitted into the opening 22 of the first casing 12 to protect the backlight module 18. The light-emitting touch panel 16 can read the moving track of the target object to determine the operation command. The light-emitting touch panel 16 can be designed to have the same color as the first casing 12 in cooperation with the backlight module 18, so that the appearance of the electronic device 10 is consistent.
Referring to fig. 2, fig. 2 is an exploded view of a part of components of a light-emitting touch panel according to a first embodiment of the invention. The backlight module 18 may include a light guide plate 24, a reflective plate 26, a protective plate 28, and a circuit substrate 30. The light guide plate 24 may be disposed under the top cover 20. The reflective plate 26 may be disposed under the light guide plate 24 and coated with a pigment of the same color system as the first housing member 12. The circuit substrate 30 may be disposed under the reflection plate 26. The circuit substrate 30 may have a light emitting unit 32 and a sensor array 34. The light emitting unit 32 may be located at one side of the light guide plate 24, and its output light may enter the light guide plate 24 and illuminate the top cover 20 with the aid of the reflection plate 26.
The protection plate 28 may be an optional component, and is disposed between the top cover 20 and the light guide plate 24, i.e. it can cover and protect the light guide plate 24, the reflection plate 26, the protection plate 28 and the circuit substrate 30 therebelow. The protective plate 28 is preferably coated with a pigment having the same color system as the first casing member 12 and the reflective plate 26. The sensor array 34 may sense the proximity or contact of a target object (e.g., a finger or stylus, etc.), which may be a capacitive sensing module, a resistive sensing module, or an inductive sensing module.
In the first embodiment, the top cover 20 is made of a high light transmittance material, such as a transparent material with high light transmittance or a dark material with high light transmittance. When the top cover 20 is made of a transparent material with high transmittance, at least one of the reflective plate 26 and the protective plate 28 is coated with a pigment having the same color as the first casing 12, so that the appearance color of the light-emitting touch panel 16 can be consistent with that of the first casing 12. If the top cover 20 is made of a dark material with high transmittance, the dark material refers to a material having the same color as the first casing 12, and the appearance color of the light-emitting touch panel 16 can be consistent with that of the first casing 12 due to the top cover 20, so that the reflective plate 26 and the protective plate 28 can be optionally coated with a pigment having the same color as the first casing 12.
Referring to fig. 3, fig. 3 is an exploded view of a part of a light-emitting touch panel according to a second embodiment of the invention. The backlight module 18A may include a protection plate 36, a light guide plate 38, a light-colored reflection plate 40, and a circuit substrate 42. The protective plate 36 may be disposed under the top cover 20 and coated with a material of the same color system as the first casing member 12. The light guide plate 38 and the circuit substrate 42 may be disposed under the protective plate 36. The circuit substrate 42 may have a light emitting unit 44 and a sensor array 46. The light emitting unit 44 may be located at one side of the light guide plate 38, and output light thereof may enter the light guide plate 38 to illuminate the top cover 20. The sensor array 46 may sense the proximity or contact of a target object (e.g., a finger or stylus, etc.).
The light-colored reflective plate 40 is an optional component and is disposed between the light guide plate 38 and the circuit substrate 42, so that the light emitted from the light guide plate 38 to the top cover 20 is relatively uniform. In the second embodiment, the top cover 20 may be a transparent material with high light transmittance; since the protection plate 36 is coated with a material having the same color as the first casing 12, the light-emitting touch panel 16 can have a color similar to the first casing 12. If the top cover 20 is designed to have a high light transmittance and a dark color (dark color means the same color as the first housing member 12), the protection plate 36 can be made of a light color or a transparent material.
Referring to fig. 4, fig. 4 is an exploded view of a part of a light-emitting touch panel according to a third embodiment of the invention. The backlight module 18B may include a light guide plate 48, a circuit substrate 50, a light-colored reflective plate 52, and a protective plate 54. The light guide plate 48 may be disposed under the top cover 20. The circuit substrate 50 is disposed under the light guide plate 48. The circuit substrate 50 may have a light emitting unit 56 and a sensor array 58. The light emitting unit 56 may be located at one side of the light guide plate 48, and its output light may enter the light guide plate 48 and illuminate the top cover 20. The sensor array 58 may sense the proximity or contact of a target object (e.g., a finger or stylus, etc.). The top cover 20 is made of a dark material with high transmittance (the dark material refers to a material having the same color as the first casing 12), so that the appearance color of the light-emitting touch panel 16 can be consistent with that of the first casing 12.
In the third embodiment, the light-colored reflective plate 52 and the protective plate 54 are optional components. A light-colored reflective sheet 52 may be disposed between the light guide plate 48 and the circuit substrate 50 to make the light from the light guide plate 38 to the top cover 20 more uniform. A protective plate 54 may be disposed between the top cover 20 and the light guide plate 48 for covering and protecting the light guide plate 48, the circuit substrate 50 and the light-colored reflective plate 52. The light-colored reflective plate 52 and the protective plate 54 need not be coated with a pigment of a specific color, and are preferably made of a light-colored or transparent material.
In summary, the light transmittance of the top cover is improved, and the coating color of the protection plate and/or the reflection plate of the backlight module is adjusted, so that the light-emitting touch panel can have an appearance consistent with that of the dark-colored casing under the condition of providing high backlight brightness. The top cover of the first embodiment is made of transparent or light-colored high-transmittance materials, and the backlight module coats the reflecting plate with dark color pigments to provide a dark color appearance consistent with that of the shell. The top cover of the second embodiment is also made of transparent or light-colored high-transmittance materials, and the backlight module is coated with dark-colored pigments on the protective plate, so that a dark-colored appearance consistent with that of the shell is provided. The top cover of the third embodiment is designed to be a high light transmittance material with a dark color, and the backlight module does not need to be additionally coated with a dark color pigment on the reflecting plate and/or the protecting plate.
The present invention is capable of other embodiments, and various changes and modifications can be made by one skilled in the art without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention.

Claims (10)

1. A light-emitting touch pad applied to an electronic device is provided, which is disposed in a casing of the electronic device, and the light-emitting touch pad includes:
the top cover is embedded in the opening of the shell;
the backlight module, the backlight module includes:
a light guide plate disposed under the top cover;
a reflector disposed under the light guide plate, the reflector being coated with a pigment having the same color as the casing; and
the circuit substrate is arranged below the reflecting plate and provided with at least one light-emitting unit, and the light-emitting unit is positioned on one side of the light guide plate and used for outputting light rays to enter the light guide plate to illuminate the top cover;
wherein the top cover is made of a high light transmittance material.
2. The illuminated touch panel according to claim 1, wherein the high transmittance material is a transparent material or a dark material with high transmittance.
3. The illuminated touch panel of claim 1, wherein the backlight module further comprises:
and the protective plate is arranged between the light guide plate and the top cover.
4. The illuminated touch panel according to claim 3, wherein the protective plate is coated with the pigment of the same color as the casing.
5. A light-emitting touch pad applied to an electronic device is provided, which is disposed in a casing of the electronic device, and the light-emitting touch pad includes:

a light guide plate disposed under the protection plate; and
the circuit substrate is arranged below the light guide plate and provided with at least one light-emitting unit which is positioned at one side of the light guide plate and used for outputting light rays to enter the light guide plate so as to illuminate the top cover; wherein the top cover is made of a high light transmittance material.
6. The illuminated touch panel according to claim 5, wherein the high transmittance material is a transparent material or a dark material with high transmittance.
7. The illuminated touch pad of claim 5, further comprising:
and the light-color reflecting plate is arranged between the light guide plate and the circuit substrate.
