Abstract
A protective cover assembly (100) for an angle grinder (400) comprises a main protective cover (10) and an auxiliary cover (20) detachably assembled on the main protective cover (10), wherein the main protective cover (10) comprises a fixing ring (101) assembled with the angle grinder (400), a first wall surface (102) connected with the fixing ring (101) and arranged parallel to a rotation working plane of the angle grinder and an annular peripheral wall (103) formed generally perpendicular to the first wall surface (102), an inner folding edge (104) is arranged at one end, away from the first wall surface (102), of the annular peripheral wall (103), and the auxiliary cover (20) is provided with a second wall surface (201) opposite to the first wall surface (102) and a fixing part (202) buckled with the inner folding edge (104).
Description
The present application relates to power tools, and more particularly, to an angle grinder and a guard assembly therefor.
The angle grinder is a widely used electric tool, and mainly has the purposes of grinding, polishing, cutting and the like, wherein a closed protective cover is required for cutting, and only a half protective cover is required for grinding. In practical use, the two working states are often required to be switched, and therefore, the protective cover needs to be replaced according to the use requirement, and the replacement of the protective cover is very complicated. Not only needs to prepare two sets of protective covers in advance, increases the cost of the angle grinder and is inconvenient to carry, but also needs to carry out a series of disassembly and assembly operations by means of various tools when the protective covers are replaced, and the protective covers cannot be in place in one step, so that the working efficiency is directly reduced.

Referring to fig. 1-6, the angle grinder 400 includes a machine neck 401, an output shaft 402, and a plate of angular grinding (not shown) assembled to the output shaft 402, with a protective cover assembly 100 at least partially surrounding the plate of angular grinding. Embodiments of the present application angle grinder 400 and its protective cover assembly 100 are described in detail below with reference to the other figures. The main structure is similar between different embodiments, and for the convenience of understanding and description, the same structure is provided with the same reference numbers and is described herein.
Please refer to fig. 2 and fig. 3, the protective cover assembly 100 includes a main protective cover 10 and an auxiliary cover 20 detachably assembled to the main protective cover 10, the main protective cover 10 includes a fixing ring 101 for being fastened to the machine neck 401, a first wall surface 102 connected to the fixing ring 101 and disposed parallel to the rotation working plane of the angle grinder, and an annular peripheral wall 103 bent relative to the first wall surface 102, one end of the annular peripheral wall 103 away from the first wall surface 102 has an inward folded edge 104, the auxiliary cover 20 has a second wall surface 201 opposite to the first wall surface 102 and a fixing portion 202 fastened to the inward folded edge 104, and the first wall surface 102, the annular peripheral wall 103 and the second wall surface 201 together enclose a protective space 30 having a cutting function opening 301. The shield assembly 100 fixes the auxiliary shield 20 by using the existing inward flange 104 of the main shield 10, and can realize switching between two shield functions without performing complicated structural changes to the existing main shield 10.
The first wall surface 102 and the annular peripheral wall 103 of the main shield 10 cover a sector area of 150 ° to 180 °, and the second wall surface 201 of the auxiliary shield 20 covers a sector area corresponding to the first wall surface 102. The auxiliary shroud 20 has a notch 204 that gives way to the end of the angle grinder output shaft. Further, the annular recess 202' or the point recess set 202 ″ has a fitting start end 2021 with a circumferential opening and a fitting stop end 2022 with a circumferential stop to define the assembling direction and the end point of the auxiliary cover 20, so as to avoid operator confusion, over-rotation and other operation errors.
Of course, the rotation fitting mode has higher fastening force and stability, and can bear higher vibration and external force impact, but is not the only mode for realizing the concept of the invention. For example, please refer to another embodiment shown in fig. 5, the auxiliary shield 20 can also be assembled to the main shield 10 from the outside of the cutting function opening 301 with the second wall surface 201 parallel to the first wall surface 102 of the main shield, i.e., the auxiliary shield 20 is horizontally inserted into the main shield 10 along the direction parallel to the fillet, so as to complete the matching of the inner flange 104 and the fixing portion 202. At this time, the protective edge 203 is eliminated and the inner folded edge 104 and the fixing portion 202 are independently matched to realize the holding. Meanwhile, since the rotation assembly is not performed, the design does not have the fitting start end design with the circumferential opening, and instead, the two fitting stop ends 2022 achieve the stop of the auxiliary cover 20 after the completion of the assembly. Of course, on the basis of the concept of the present invention, the auxiliary cover can still be deformed to pass over the annular peripheral wall and reset to the outer wall surface of the annular peripheral wall during the assembling process to assist in fixing the auxiliary cover to the main protective cover.
In addition, referring to fig. 6, the auxiliary shield 20 may be moved toward the first wall surface 102 in a posture that the second wall surface 201 is parallel to the first wall surface 102 of the main shield 10, and assembled to the main shield 10, and the auxiliary shield 20 has a fixing portion 202 which is deformable in an assembling process to be assembled with the inner flange 104. That is, the auxiliary housing 20 is vertically inserted into the main housing 10 in a direction perpendicular to the angle grinder piece, and the fitting of the inner flange 104 and the fixing portion 202 is completed. The assembly is characterized in that: the rigid bead 203 may remain with the deformed portion at the upper edge 205 of the recess 202. - The protective cover assembly (100) for an angle grinder of claim 1, wherein the folded-in edge (104) of the main protective cover (10) is annular, and the fixing portion (202) of the auxiliary cover (20) is a whole annular recess (202') or a plurality of distributed point recess sets (202 ").

- The protective cover assembly (100) for a corner grinder according to claim 2, wherein the auxiliary cover (20) is moved in a direction approaching the first wall surface (102) with a posture in which the second wall surface (201) thereof is parallel to the first wall surface (102) of the main cover (10) and assembled to the main cover (10), the auxiliary cover (20) having a fixing portion (202) deformable during assembly to be fitted with the inner flange (104).
- The protective cover assembly (100) for an angle grinder of any one of claims 1 to 6, wherein the auxiliary cover (20) has a notch (204) to give way to an end of an output shaft of the angle grinder.
- The protective cover assembly (100) for an angle grinder of any one of claims 1 to 6, wherein the first wall surface (102) and the annular peripheral wall (103) of the main protective cover (10) cover a sector area of 150 ° to 180 °, and the second wall surface (201) of the auxiliary cover (20) covers a sector area equivalent to the first wall surface (102).
