All other embodiments, which can be made by those skilled in the art based on the embodiments of the invention without making any inventive effort, are intended to fall within the scope of the invention. Furthermore, it should be understood that the detailed description is presented herein for purposes of illustration and description only, and is not intended to limit the invention. In the present invention, unless otherwise indicated, terms of orientation such as "upper" and "lower" are used to generally refer to the upper and lower positions of the device in actual use or operation, and specifically the orientation of the drawing figures; while "inner" and "outer" are for the outline of the device.
In recent years, folding display panels are increasingly popular with consumers, and when the cover plate layer of the folding display panel is shipped by an upstream product manufacturer, the cover plate layer is usually subjected to primary pre-bending to ensure the bending performance, and the bending direction of the cover plate layer is determined through a bending test, however, when the folding display panel is manufactured, the front side and the back side (namely the bending direction after lamination) of the cover plate layer are not easy to distinguish by the cover plate layer of incoming materials, and if the front side and the back side are laminated in error, the bending direction of the cover plate layer during working is opposite to the bending direction during the pre-bending test, so that the bending performance of the cover plate layer is greatly reduced.
Referring to fig. 1 to 11, an embodiment of the present invention provides a foldable display panel 100, including:
a panel body 200;
a cover plate layer 300 positioned on one side of the panel body 200, the cover plate layer 300 including a first surface 301 bonded to the panel body 200 and a second surface 302 disposed opposite to the first surface 301;
the first surface 301 corresponds to the first side 101 of the folded display panel 100, the second surface 302 corresponds to the second side 102 of the folded display panel 100, the front view pattern of the first surface 301 is a first pattern in the front view direction of the first side 101, the front view pattern of the second surface 302 is a second pattern in the front view direction of the second side 102, and the first pattern is different from the second pattern.
According to the invention, the upward-looking patterns of the first surface and the downward-looking patterns of the second surface of the cover plate layer are different, so that when the cover plate layer is attached, the front and back surfaces of the cover plate layer can be distinguished more easily according to the different patterns, the bending performance of the cover plate layer is prevented from being influenced by the front and back surface attachment, and the product quality of the folded display panel is ensured.
The technical scheme of the present invention will now be described with reference to specific embodiments.
In this embodiment, referring to fig. 1 and 2, the foldable display panel 100 includes a panel body 200 and a cover layer 300 located on one side of the panel body 200, wherein the cover layer 300 includes a first surface 301 attached to the panel body 200 and a second surface 302 opposite to the first surface 301; the first surface 301 corresponds to the first side 101 of the folded display panel 100, the second surface 302 corresponds to the second side 102 of the folded display panel 100, the front view pattern of the first surface 301 is a first pattern in the front view direction of the first side 101, the front view pattern of the second surface 302 is a second pattern in the front view direction of the second side 102, and the first pattern is different from the second pattern.
Wherein, in fig. 2, fig. 4, fig. 6, and fig. 8, the front view pattern of the first surface 301 is a first pattern in the front view direction of the first side 101; the front pattern of the second surface 302 in the front direction of the second side 102 is shown in fig. 2, 4, 6, and 8.
When the folded display panel 100 is in a flattened state, the first surface 301 of the cover layer 300 is seen from the first side 101, in the front view direction of the first side 101, the first pattern is a bottom view pattern of the first surface 301, the second surface 302 of the cover layer 300 is seen from the second side 102, in the front view direction of the second side 102, the bottom view pattern of the second surface 302 is a second pattern, and the first pattern is different from the second pattern, so that the first surface 301 and the second surface 302 are easily distinguished when the cover layer 300 is attached, and the front and back surfaces of the cover layer 300 are easily distinguished, thereby avoiding the influence on the bending performance of the cover layer 300 due to the front and back attachment, and ensuring the product quality of the folded display panel 100. Taking the folded display panel 100 as an example, the first surface 301 is on the outer side of the fold, and the second surface 302 is on the inner side of the fold.
In some embodiments, the cover layer 300 includes at least one first opening 310, and one edge of the first opening 310 is flush with one edge of the cover layer 300 or both edges of the first opening 310 are flush with both edges of the cover layer 300 in the front view of the first side 101 or the second side 102.
The first opening 310 may be formed at an edge of the cover layer 300, and may be conveniently opened, i.e., may be provided at any one of the upper, lower, left and right edges, or may be provided at an angular edge, in a front view direction of the first side 101 or the second side 102, i.e., in a bottom view or a top view direction of the folded display panel 100, as a mark for distinguishing the front and back sides of the cover layer 300.
In some embodiments, referring to fig. 1 and 2, four corners of the folded display panel 100 are arc corners.
In some embodiments, the curvature of the upper and lower arc angles of the folded display panel 100 is different, and the curvature of the upper and lower arc angles of the cover sheet layer 300 is different. By the different curvatures of the upper and lower arc angles, the upper and lower positions of the cover plate layer 300 can be distinguished, and the cover plate layer 300 is prevented from being turned upside down, so that the bending performance of the cover plate layer 300 is prevented from being adversely affected due to the turning upside down, and the product quality of the folded display panel 100 is ensured.
In some embodiments, referring to fig. 2, the foldable display panel 100 includes a virtual central axis 110 along a first direction; the first virtual opening 311 and the first opening 310 are symmetrical with respect to the virtual central axis 110, and the first opening 310 and the first virtual opening 311 are non-overlapping.
If the first opening 310 and the first virtual opening 311 are arranged to overlap, the first opening 310 is not a symmetrical pattern about the virtual central axis 110, so that when the folded display panel 100 is in a flattened state, the first opening 310 is not a symmetrical pattern about the virtual central axis 110, the first side 301 of the cover sheet 300 is seen from the first side 101, the bottom view pattern of the first side 301, that is, the first pattern, is obtained in the front view direction of the first side 101, the second side 302 of the cover sheet 300 is seen from the second side 102, and the bottom view pattern of the second side 302, that is, the second pattern, is obtained in the front view direction of the second side 102, and the first pattern is different from the second pattern.
In some embodiments, the first direction may be an X axis or a Y axis, and the drawing is performed by taking the first direction as the Y axis as an example in the drawing.
