S-NSSAI: single network slice selection assistance information; SST: slice/service type; SD: a slice specifier.
Detailed Description
To facilitate a clearer understanding of embodiments of the present invention, some relevant background information is first presented below.
A Network Slice is identified by Single Network Slice Selection Assistance Information (S-NSSAI), which consists of a Slice/Service type (SST) and a Slice Specifier (SD). Wherein SST represents the function and traffic type of the network slice; SD is a complement to slice type to further distinguish multiple network slices of the same SST. In the related art, 4 standardized SST values (SST value is 1 to 4) have been defined, which are respectively suitable for handling Enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB), Ultra Reliable Low Latency Communication (urrllc), Massive Internet of Things (Massive Internet of Things, mlts), and Vehicle to infrastructure Communication (V2X) services.
Fig. 1 is a schematic diagram of a service-based network slicing method provided in the related art, as shown in fig. 1, in an enterprise private network, services having the same characteristics in different industries use the same slice, for example, a voice service uses slice 1 (access slice 1 through radio access network 1), a video service uses slice 2 (access slice 2 through radio access network 2, data service uses slice 3 (access slice 3 through radio access network 3), and an internet of things service uses slice 4 (access slice 4 through radio access network 4).
A solution of access Network resource isolation is a Public Network Integrated Non-Public Network (PNI-NPN) which is a Non-independent Network, utilizes CAG to realize access restriction, provides virtual private Network service through a Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN), provides a dedicated access Network for an industry private Network, restricts a Non-industry terminal from trying to access a dedicated base station or frequency band, and ensures that industry clients access resources are shared independently.
The CAG is used for access control, the CAG represents a group of subscriber groups which can be accessed to one or more CAG cells, the cells which enable the CAG only allow the subscriber to access, and non-subscriber users cannot automatically select and access through related cells. When a user signs a CAG, a supported CAG list (Allowed CAG list) is configured in subscription data, and the list stores Identifiers (IDs) of all CAG cells that the current user can access. In the initial Access and cell reselection processes, a next Generation Radio Access Network (NG-RAN) node needs to broadcast a CAG ID supported by itself, a subscriber selects an accessible CAG cell Access Network according to an Allowed CAG list of the subscriber, and a core Network can authenticate the identity of the subscriber according to subscription information of the subscriber.
It should be noted that, when the user signs the CAG, the user may also configure an indication whether the user can only access the network through the CAG cell, the user configured with an indication (CAG-only indication) that can only access the network through the CAG cell, and the CAG user not configured with the CAG-only indication may select the accessible CAG cell or the public PLMN cell access network according to the own Allowed CAG list.
Fig. 2 is a schematic diagram of a CAG-based network slicing manner provided by the related art, as shown in fig. 2, in combination with PNI-NPN and network slicing technologies, end-to-end resource isolation can be achieved to some extent, as shown in fig. 2, fig. 2 includes a plurality of User Equipments (UE), the User Equipment 1 supports an identifier 1 of a closed access group cell, the User Equipment 2 supports an identifier 2 of the closed access group cell, the User Equipment 3 does not support the identifier of the closed access group cell, the radio access Network node broadcasts a CAG list supported by itself (the identifier 1 of the closed access group cell, the identifier 2 of the closed access group cell), the User Equipment 1 and the User Equipment 2 can access through the radio access Network node, the User Equipment 3 cannot access, and a 5G Core Network (5G Core Network, 5 GC) can include a slice 1 and a slice 2.
CAG is used for authorization at network/cell selection, configured as part of Mobility restrictions in subscription data, i.e. independent of any S-NSSAI, and is not used as input for Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF) selection and network slice selection. If NPN isolation is needed, an operator needs to deploy network slices for PNI-NPN, configure special S-NSSAI, and limit the UE subscription of the industry private network to the special S-NSSAI.
In fig. 2, only terminals that do not support CAG are restricted from being accessed, and for a user equipment 1 and a user equipment 2 that respectively support an identifier 1 of a closed access group cell and an identifier 2 of the closed access group cell, a radio access network node that supports the identifier 1 of the closed access group cell and the identifier 2 of the closed access group cell is accessed together, if it is necessary to further restrict the user equipment 1 and the user equipment 2 from being accessed to a certain radio access network node, it may also be set that the radio access network node 1 only supports the identifier 1 of the closed access group cell, and the radio access network node 2 only supports the identifier 2 of the closed access group cell, so as to implement the dedication of access resources.
In the related art, the network slicing technology either implements service-based network slicing (as shown in fig. 1), or performs access control on a terminal accessing a certain network slice through a CAG (as shown in fig. 2), where the same type of service in different industries uses the same slice, and the latter can implement a user accessing the same slice through the same CAG, which means that the related art cannot implement service and industry two-dimensional network slicing.
In order to overcome the defects, the invention provides a method, a device and an electronic device for determining a network slice, wherein the SST in the S-NSSAI represents the type of a communication service and the SD in the S-NSSAI maps the industry corresponding to user equipment, so that the network slice with two dimensions of service and industry can be realized.

Fig. 3 is a flowchart of a network slice determining method provided in the present invention, and as shown in fig. 3, an executing subject of the network slice determining method may be a user equipment. The method comprises the following steps:
step 301, determining a target S-NSSAI corresponding to a target communication service;
the target S-NSSAI comprises a target SST and a target SD, the target SST is used for representing the type of the target communication service, the target SD is used for representing the industry to which a user belongs, the target SD is determined based on a CAG ID supported by the user equipment, and the user equipment is equipment accessing a network through a CAG cell;
specifically, in order to implement service and industry two-dimensional network slicing, a target S-NSSAI may be determined for a target communication service, and a target SST in the target S-NSSAI may characterize the type of the target communication service, and a target SD in the target S-NSSAI may be given to characterize an industry to which a user belongs, and further, a network slice to which a user equipment is expected to access may be characterized by the target S-NSSAI, and the network slice may satisfy a service requirement required by the target communication service and may satisfy a service requirement required by the industry to which the user belongs.
It can be understood that the user may be a user in a certain industry, the CAG ID supported by the user equipment is assigned to characterize the industry to which the user belongs, and the user equipment may access the network through the CAG cell based on the CAG ID supported by the user equipment, where the network may be a PNI-NPN. Since the CAG ID supported by the user equipment can be assigned to characterize the industry to which the user belongs, the target SD determined based on the CAG ID mapping supported by the user equipment can be assigned to characterize the industry to which the user belongs.
Alternatively, the user equipment may configure a CAG-only indication, and the user equipment accesses the network only through the CAG cell.
Alternatively, the target communication traffic may be voice, video, data, and other traffic, etc.
For example, in the case where the target communication service is a voice service, the user equipment may determine a target S-NSSAI based on the voice service, a target SST in the target S-NSSAI may characterize the type of the service as a voice service, and a target SD in the target S-NSSAI may characterize an industry to which the user belongs.
Optionally, the process of determining the target S-NSSAI corresponding to the target communication service may be: in a scenario where a Protocol Data Unit (PDU) session needs to be created for a target communication service, a User Equipment may determine a target SST based on a Network Slice Selection Policy (NSSP) included in a User-Equipment routing Selection Policy (URSP) and the target communication service, may determine a target SD based on a CAG ID supported by the User Equipment, and may further determine a target S-NSSAI based on the target SST and the target SD.
As shown in fig. 3, step 302 is to send a request message carrying the target S-NSSAI to a network side device, where the target S-NSSAI is used to instruct the network side device to determine a network slice for accessing the user equipment.
Specifically, after a target S-NSSAI corresponding to a target communication service is determined, a request message carrying the target S-NSSAI may be sent to a network side device, a target SST in the target S-NSSAI may characterize a type of the target communication service, and a target SD in the target S-NSSAI may characterize an industry to which a user belongs, so that the network side device may determine a network slice for accessing the user device based on the target S-NSSAI after receiving the request message, and the network slice may satisfy a service requirement required by the target communication service and may satisfy a requirement of accessing only the user device of the industry to which the user belongs to ensure resource dedication.
Optionally, the process of sending the request message carrying the target S-NSSAI to the network side device may be: in a scenario that a PDU Session needs to be created for a target communication service, a user equipment may send a PDU Session Establishment Request (Session Establishment Request) message to a network side device, where the message carries a target S-NSSAI.
The network slice determining method provided by the invention can indicate the network side equipment to determine the network slice for accessing the user equipment by sending the request message carrying the target S-NSSAI to the network side equipment, wherein the target S-NSSAI comprises the target SST and the target SD, the target SST can represent the type of the target communication service, and the target SD is endowed with the industry to which the user belongs, so that the network side equipment can determine the network slice for accessing the user equipment based on the type of the target communication service and the industry corresponding to the user equipment, thereby realizing the network slices with two dimensions of service and industry, and different services in different vertical industries can use different network slices.
Optionally, the determining a target S-NSSAI corresponding to the target communication service includes:
determining a non-standardized reserved SST as the target SST;
determining the target S-NSSAI based on the target SST and the target SD.
Specifically, under the condition that an industry user does not need to distinguish services, only network slicing of the dimension of the industry is needed to be realized, namely slicing is carried out according to the industry, on the basis of determining a target SD based on a CAG ID supported by user equipment, the industry-based slicing can be realized by defining a non-standardized reserved SST value, and the SST has wide requirements on Service Level Agreement (SLA).
Optionally, before the determining the target S-NSSAI corresponding to the target communication service, the method further includes:
sending a registration request message carrying the requested NSSAI to the network side equipment;
receiving a registration success message sent by the network side device, where the registration success message carries an allowed NSSAI, and the allowed NSSAI at least includes the target S-NSSAI;
wherein the SDs of all S-NSSAIs of the requested NSSAI and the allowed NSSAI are the target SD.
Specifically, the user equipment may send a registration request message to the network side equipment, where the message may carry the requested NSSAI, so that the network side equipment may verify the registration request message, and may further receive a registration success message sent by the network side equipment.
It is understood that the SD of all S-NSSAIs in the requested NSSAI and allowed NSSAI are target SDs, and for each S-NSSAI, SST corresponds to business and SD corresponds to industry, which may be used to implement two-dimensional network slicing of business and industry.
Optionally, before sending the registration request message carrying the requested NSSAI to the network side device, the method further includes:
determining the target SD based on the CAG ID supported by the user equipment and a preset mapping relation;
determining the target SD as the SD of all S-NSSAIs allowed to be accessed by the user equipment;
the preset mapping relation is determined by at least one of the following determination modes:
the first determination method comprises the following steps: determining by receiving a signaling sent by a network side device;
the second determination mode is as follows: determining through preset configuration;
the priority of the preset mapping relation determined by the first determination mode is higher than that of the preset mapping relation determined by the second determination mode.
Specifically, in order to determine the target SD for the user equipment, the mapping relationship between the CAG ID and the SD may be represented by a preset mapping relationship, and based on the CAG ID supported by the user equipment and the preset mapping relationship, the target SD may be determined, and then the target SD may be taken as the SD of all S-NSSAIs allowed to be accessed by the user equipment. Since the target S-NSSAI is one or more of the S-NSSAIs allowed by the user equipment, the SD in the target S-NSSAI may be used to characterize the industry to which the user belongs.
Specifically, the preset mapping relationship may be sent to the ue through a signaling or preconfigured in the ue, and if the preset mapping relationship is preconfigured in the ue and the preset mapping relationship sent by the network is received through the signaling, the preset mapping relationship sent by the network is preferentially adopted, that is, the priority sent by the signaling is higher than the preconfigured manner.
Optionally, the determining the target SD based on the CAG ID supported by the user equipment and a preset mapping relationship includes:
under the condition that the user equipment supports a CAG list, configuring a default CAG ID in the CAG list, and determining the target SD based on a preset mapping relation and the default CAG ID;
the CAG list includes one or more CAG IDs.
Specifically, in a case that the user equipment supports a CAG list, the CAG list includes one or more CAG IDs, in order to determine the target SD for the user equipment, a default CAG ID may be configured in the CAG list, and the target SD may be determined based on a preset mapping relationship and the default CAG ID corresponding to the user equipment.
The network slice determining method provided by the invention can indicate the network side equipment to determine the network slice for accessing the user equipment by sending the request message carrying the target S-NSSAI to the network side equipment, wherein the target S-NSSAI comprises the target SST and the target SD, the target SST can represent the type of the target communication service, the target SD can represent the industry to which the user belongs, the network side equipment can determine the network slice for accessing the user equipment based on the type of the target communication service and the industry corresponding to the user equipment, the network slices with two dimensions of service and industry can be realized, and different services in different vertical industries can use different network slices.
Fig. 4 is a second flowchart of the network slice determining method provided by the present invention, and as shown in fig. 4, an execution subject of the network slice determining method may be a network-side device. The method comprises the following steps:
step 401, receiving a request message carrying a target S-NSSAI sent by a user equipment, where the target S-NSSAI is an S-NSSAI corresponding to a target communication service;
the target S-NSSAI comprises a target SST and a target SD, wherein the target SST is used for representing the type of the target communication service, the target SD is used for representing the industry to which the user belongs, the target SD is determined based on the CAG ID supported by the user equipment, and the user equipment is accessed to the network through a CAG cell;
specifically, in order to implement service and industry two-dimensional network slicing, the network side device may receive a request message carrying a target S-NSSAI from the user equipment, and a target SST in the target S-NSSAI may characterize a type of a target communication service, and a target SD in the target S-NSSAI may characterize an industry to which the user belongs, and further may characterize a network slice to which the user equipment desires to access through the target S-NSSAI, where the network slice is a service of the industry.
Optionally, the process of receiving the request message carrying the target S-NSSAI sent by the user equipment may be: under the scene that a PDU Session needs to be created for a target communication service, a PDU Session Establishment Request message sent by user equipment is received, the message carries a target S-NSSAI, and the target S-NSSAI is one or more items of allowed NSSAI.
Step 402, determining a network slice for accessing the user equipment based on the target S-NSSAI.
Specifically, after receiving the request message carrying the target S-NSSAI, the network side device may determine, based on the target S-NSSAI, a network slice for accessing the user device, where the network slice may satisfy a service requirement required by the target communication service and may satisfy a service requirement required by an industry to which the user belongs.
Alternatively, the process of determining the network slice for accessing the user equipment may be: in a scenario that a PDU Session needs to be created for a target communication service, a network side device may be an AMF, and the AMF may determine a network slice accessed to a User device based on a target S-NSSAI, and may further complete PDU Session creation (for example, the AMF may determine Session Management Function (SMF) information corresponding to the target S-NSSAI, and may further select a User Plane Function (UPF) through the SMF).
The network slice determining method provided by the invention can determine the network slice for accessing the user equipment by receiving the request message which is sent by the user equipment and carries the target S-NSSAI, wherein the target S-NSSAI comprises the target SST and the target SD, the target SST can represent the type of the target communication service, the target SD can represent the industry to which the user belongs, the network side equipment can determine the network slice for accessing the user equipment based on the type of the target communication service and the industry corresponding to the user equipment, the network slice of two dimensions of the service and the industry can be realized, and different services of different vertical industries can use different network slices.
Optionally, before receiving the request message carrying the target S-NSSAI sent by the user equipment, the method further includes:
receiving a registration request message which is sent by the user equipment and carries the requested NSSAI;
determining an allowed NSSAI based on the requested NSSAI;
sending a registration success message to the user equipment, wherein the registration success message carries the allowed NSSAI, and the allowed NSSAI at least comprises the target S-NSSAI;
wherein the SDs of all S-NSSAIs of the requested NSSAI and the allowed NSSAI are the target SD.
Specifically, the network side device may receive a registration request message sent by the user equipment, where the registration request message may carry the requested NSSAI, and then the network side device may verify the registration request message, and further send a registration success message to the network side device.
It is understood that the SD of all S-NSSAIs in the requested NSSAI and allowed NSSAI are target SDs, and for each S-NSSAI, SST corresponds to business and SD corresponds to industry, which may be used to implement two-dimensional network slicing of business and industry.
Optionally, fig. 5 is a schematic diagram of implementing an end-to-end slicing of a multi-dimensional industry private network based on PNI-NPN provided by the present invention, as shown in fig. 5, fig. 5 includes a plurality of 5G base stations (gnbs), where a user equipment 1 and a user equipment 2 are industry 1 users, and support an identifier 1 of a closed access group cell to access the 5G base station 1; the user equipment 3 and the user equipment 4 are industry 2 users, support the identifier 2 of the closed access group cell, and access the 5G base station 2; the method comprises the steps that a service 1 runs on user equipment 1 and user equipment 3, a service 2 runs on user equipment 2 and user equipment 4, and the user equipment 1, the user equipment 2, the user equipment 3 and the user equipment 4 are respectively connected into a slice 1, a slice 2, a slice 3 and a slice 4; wherein, the 5G base station 1 broadcasts a CAG list (including an identifier 1 of a closed access group cell) supported by itself, the 5G base station 2 broadcasts a CAG list (including an identifier 2 of a closed access group cell) supported by itself, and the 5G Core Network (5G Core Network, 5 GC) may include a slice 1, a slice 2, a slice 3 and a slice 4.
It will be appreciated that the industry user supported CAG ID may be mapped to the slice specifier SD in S-NSSAI, which is used by both the SD in the allowed NSSAI (allowed NSSAI) and the requested NSSAI (requested NSSAI). In S-NSSAI, SST corresponds to business, SD corresponds to industry, and the SST is used for realizing network slicing of two dimensions of business and industry. And if the industry user needs to support the CAG list, configuring a default CAG ID in the CAG list for the industry, and mapping the default CAG ID to the SD of the slice.
Optionally, fig. 6 is a schematic diagram of an industry-based network slice provided by the present invention, and as shown in fig. 6, in a case that an industry user does not need to distinguish services (which is a special case of network slices for implementing two dimensions of services and industries), a default SST may be determined as a target SST, and the default SST is a non-standardized reserved SST.
As shown in fig. 6, the user equipment 1 and the user equipment 2 of the industry 1 access the slice 1 through the 5G base station 1, and the user equipment 3 and the user equipment 4 of the industry 2 access the slice 2 through the 5G base station 2.
The user equipment 1 and the user equipment 2 are industry 1 users, support the identifier 1 of the closed access group cell, and access the 5G base station 1; the user equipment 3 and the user equipment 4 are industry 2 users, support the identifier 2 of the closed access group cell, and access the 5G base station 2; the user equipment 1 and the user equipment 3 run the service 1, and the user equipment 2 and the user equipment 4 run the service 2; the user equipment 1 and the user equipment 2 are accessed to the slice 1 through the 5G base station 1, and the user equipment 3 and the user equipment 4 are accessed to the slice 2 through the 5G base station 2; wherein, the 5G base stations 1 and 2 may be 5G base stations, the 5G base station 1 broadcasts a CAG list (including an identifier 1 of a closed access group cell) supported by itself, the 5G base station 2 broadcasts a CAG list (including an identifier 2 of a closed access group cell) supported by itself, and the 5G Core Network (5G Core Network, 5 GC) may include a slice 1 and a slice 2.
It can be understood that, under the condition that the business user does not need to distinguish the services, only the network slicing of the industry in the dimension is needed to be realized, that is, only the slicing is carried out according to the industry, and on the basis of mapping the CAG ID to the SD, the industry-based slicing can be realized by defining a non-standardized reserved SST value, and the SST has wide SLA requirements.
