Description

Method and device for processing multicast broadcast service state change indication information
Technical Field
The present application relates to the field of communications technologies, and in particular, to a method and an apparatus for processing multicast broadcast service status change indication information.
Background
MBMS (broadcast multicast service) has long existed in 3G, 4G technology as an important service type. However, only unicast services are supported in R15 and R16 versions of 5GNR (New Radio, New air interface), and in view of the importance of MBMS services to some vertical fields (such as car networking, public security, etc.), the support of MBMS (referred to as MBS in 5G) is also added to R17 version in 5G.
In the existing 4G technology, SC-PTM is a technology for implementing MBMS service transmission. In SC-PTM mode, the MBMS control message (SCPTMConfiguration) transmitted on the MBMS control channel (SC-MCCH) includes all MBMS service lists and MBMS service related information, such as the configuration of the corresponding MBMS transport channel (SC-MTCH), in progress in the current serving cell. When the MBMS service on the serving cell changes, such as the start transmission of a certain MBMS service or the stop transmission of a certain MBMS service, the change of the service notifies the UE through the MBMS control message transmitted on the SC-MCCH, and the UE decides to start or stop receiving the service channel according to the notified service change.
However, in the prior art, when only multicast service or broadcast service is changed, all UEs in a coverage area interested in only MBS service (multicast or broadcast) of a certain service type will trigger the MBS control information receiving process, thereby causing a drawback of extra power consumption of the UE.

The character "/" generally indicates that the former and latter associated objects are in an "or" relationship.
In the embodiments of the present application, the term "plurality" means two or more, and other terms are similar thereto.
The technical solutions in the embodiments of the present application will be clearly and completely described below with reference to the drawings in the embodiments of the present application, and it is obvious that the described embodiments are only a part of the embodiments of the present application, and not all of the embodiments. All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments given herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present application.
When the MBMS control message changes, the UE needs to acquire the updated MBMS control message in time. In order to avoid that the UE continuously listens to the MBMS control channel in order to acquire the updated MBMS control message, thereby causing unnecessary power consumption. A special MBMS Control message change notification mechanism is designed on SC-PTM, namely a Bit indication of Downlink Control Information (DCI) Information of a specific format on a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) is used for indicating whether the multicast Control Channel is changed, and the PDCCH used for indicating is scrambled by a specific RNTI (namely SC-N-RNTI) so as to be convenient for UE to distinguish. The UE interested in the MBMS only needs to monitor the PDCCH scrambled by the SC-N-RNTI at a specific position to judge whether the MBMS control message is changed or not, and then receives the updated MBMS control message according to the indication, so that the change (start or stop) of the data transmission state of a certain MBMS service is known.
However, in the prior art, a change of an MBMS control message indicated by an information bit in DCI scrambled by an SC-N-RNTI is performed, a change of any MBMS service in a cell causes a change of the MBMS control message on the SC-MCCH, all UEs interested in MBMS in the cell need to acquire an updated multicast control message according to an indication of PDCCH DCI, and only after acquiring the updated multicast control message can it be known whether the MBMS service concerned by the UE is changed. However, in most scenarios, a single UE is only interested in one of multicast (multicast) and broadcast (broadcast), or only receives one of multicast (multicast) and broadcast (broadcast), when a multicast broadcast service in a cell changes, in the prior art, only the UE interested in broadcast will receive an MCCH control message on an SC-MCCH according to an indication of PDCCH DCI, and then can determine that a service that is not interested per se has changed, thereby causing an unnecessary process to cause extra power consumption of the UE.
The embodiments of the present application improve a notification mechanism of MBS service change (including multicast service and broadcast service), specifically may respectively indicate, to UEs in an area, a change of multicast service and broadcast service for an NG-RAN node, only care about the UE of the multicast service or broadcast service, and perform subsequent operations only when a service state of the service (multicast or broadcast) that is of interest to the UE changes, including receiving subsequent MBS control information (including a changed MBS service identifier and corresponding MBS configuration), and performing corresponding operations, for example, starting or stopping receiving user plane data corresponding to the MBS service, so that additional power consumption of the UE may be avoided, and resources may be saved.

In some network architectures, a network device may include a Centralized Unit (CU) node and a Distributed Unit (DU) node, which may also be geographically separated.
Fig. 1 is a schematic flowchart of a processing method for multicast broadcast service status change indication information according to an embodiment of the present application, where the method may be applied to a mobile terminal UE, as shown in fig. 1, the method at least includes the following steps:
step 100, receiving multicast broadcast service state change indication information sent by a network side device, where the multicast broadcast service state change indication information is used to indicate that a multicast service or a broadcast service changes;
when any one of the multicast broadcast services in the cell changes, in the prior art, all the UEs interested in the MBS in the cell need to receive the multicast broadcast service control information, and can determine whether the service interested in itself changes based on the received multicast broadcast service control information, thereby causing extra power consumption of the UE.
In the embodiment of the present application, after any one of multicast and broadcast services (multicast service or broadcast service) in a cell is changed, a network side device first sends multicast and broadcast service state change indication information (for brevity, in various embodiments of the present application, referred to as state change indication information for short) to all UEs in a cell, instead of directly sending multicast and broadcast service control information to enable a UE to determine whether the changed service shows a service that the UE is interested in according to the control information, where the state change indication information is used for indicating that the multicast service or the broadcast service is changed. Specifically, when one or more services of which the service type is multicast in the intra-cell multicast broadcast service is changed, the state change indication information may be sent to all UEs within the cell to inform all UEs that the multicast service is changed at present. Similarly, when one or more services of which the service type is broadcast in the multicast broadcast service in the cell changes, the state change indication information may be sent to all UEs within the cell to inform all UEs that the broadcast service is currently changed.
All UEs within the cell may receive the status change indication information, and thus know which specific service has changed in the current multicast broadcast service in the cell.
Step 101, receiving and controlling the multicast broadcast service control information based on the multicast broadcast service state change indication information; wherein the multicast broadcast service control information is used to characterize the multicast service or a change of the broadcast service.
Further, after receiving the above-mentioned state change indication information, the UE may determine which specific service has changed in the current intra-cell multicast broadcast service, for example, the multicast service has changed or the broadcast service has changed, based on the state change indication information.
Moreover, the service types of interest for the UEs may be different, i.e. part of the UEs are interested in multicast, and another part of the UEs are interested in broadcast, although some UEs are interested in both multicast and broadcast. For UEs with different service types of interest, after receiving the status change indication information, it may be determined whether the service type of the service in which the multicast broadcast service is changed in the current cell is of interest, and based on the determination result, it is determined whether to receive the multicast broadcast service control information.
Specifically, the specific address is that, assuming that the multicast service in the multicast broadcast service in the next cell changes, the state change indication information sent by the network side device is specifically used to indicate that the multicast service changes. After a UE interested in multicast service receives the above status change indication information, it can know that the currently changed service type is consistent with the service type of interest of the UE, so that the UE can continue to receive multicast broadcast service control information and determine subsequent operations based on the change of multicast service represented by the multicast broadcast service control information. After a UE interested in broadcast service receives the state change indication information, it can know that the currently changed service type is inconsistent with the service type of interest of the UE, so that the UE can continue to monitor the state change indication information without continuing to receive multicast broadcast service control information, thereby avoiding extra power consumption of the UE and saving resources.
The multicast broadcast service control information may be specifically used to characterize the multicast service or the change of the broadcast service, and specifically, the multicast broadcast service control information may include multicast broadcast service information, where the service information may include an MBS service list, where the MBS service list includes all service-related information currently in progress in a serving cell, and the UE may know the current state of a service of interest based on the list, for example, if a service is not in the list, it indicates that the service has ended; if a service is in the list, it indicates that the service has started or is in progress.
According to the method for processing the multicast broadcast service state change indication information, the changed service type is indicated through the multicast broadcast service state change indication information, so that the UE interested in different service types can judge whether the changed service type is consistent with the service type interested by the UE based on the state change indication information in advance, and can determine whether to continue to receive subsequent multicast broadcast service control information based on the judgment result, thereby avoiding extra power consumption of part of the UE and saving resources.
In the embodiment of the method, in the multicast broadcast service state change indication information, independent information bits are respectively used for indicating that the multicast service or the broadcast service is changed; or, in the multicast broadcast service state change indication information, different values of the same field or cell are used to respectively indicate that the multicast service or the broadcast service is changed.
In the above method embodiment, the UE may receive the indication information of the multicast broadcast service status change sent by the network side device, for example, by: receiving Downlink Control Information (DCI) corresponding to a paging Radio Network Temporary Identifier (RNTI) sent by network side equipment, wherein a short message field in the DCI carries the multicast broadcast service state change indication information; or receiving downlink control information DCI corresponding to a Radio Network Temporary Identifier (RNTI) special for broadcast and multicast service sent by network side equipment, wherein the DCI carries the multicast broadcast service state change indication information.
Specifically, the network side device sends downlink control information DCI corresponding to the paging radio network temporary identifier RNTI, and a short message field in the DCI carries the multicast broadcast service state change indication information. The mobile terminal side receives corresponding MBS control information according to scheduling only when the state of the service type (multicast and/or broadcast) which is interested in (including being received) of the mobile terminal side changes according to the indication in the short message field of the downlink control information DCI corresponding to the paging RNTI, and further judges whether the related MBS service state changes according to the specific MBS service information in the MBS control information.
Or, the network side device sends downlink control information DCI corresponding to the radio network temporary identifier RNTI for the broadcast multicast service, where a short message field in the DCI carries the multicast broadcast service state change indication information. The mobile terminal side receives corresponding MBS control information according to scheduling only when the state of the service type (multicast and/or broadcast) which is interested in (including being received) of the mobile terminal side changes according to the indication in the Downlink Control Information (DCI) corresponding to the special RNTI (such as N-RNTI) of the MBS, and further judges whether the state of the related MBS service of the mobile terminal side changes according to the specific MBS service information in the MBS control information.
In the above method embodiment, when both the multicast service and the broadcast service in the multicast broadcast service in the cell are changed, the network side device needs to send two pieces of multicast broadcast service state change indication information, one indicating that the multicast service is changed and the other indicating that the broadcast service is changed.
Specifically, the change information of the multicast service may be carried in a short message field (short message) of the downlink control information DCI corresponding to the paging RNTI, while the change information of the broadcast service may be carried in the downlink control information DCI corresponding to the MBS-specific RNTI (e.g. N-RNTI), or,
the change information of the broadcast service may be carried in a short message field (short message) of the downlink control information DCI corresponding to the paging RNTI, and meanwhile, the change information of the multicast service may be carried in the downlink control information DCI corresponding to the MBS-specific RNTI (e.g., N-RNTI).
Correspondingly, the UE can receive two pieces of multicast broadcast service state change indication information simultaneously, specifically, receive downlink control information DCI corresponding to the paging radio network temporary identifier RNTI sent by the network side device, and receive downlink control information DCI corresponding to the broadcast multicast service private radio network temporary identifier RNTI sent by the network side device;
the short message field in the DCI corresponding to the paging RNTI carries indication information for indicating that the multicast service changes, and the DCI corresponding to the special RNTI for the broadcast multicast service carries indication information for indicating that the broadcast service changes.
Specifically, the UE interested in multicast service (including receiving) monitors Downlink Control Information (DCI) corresponding to paging RNTI, determines to receive corresponding MBS control information according to a multicast service change indication in a short message field (short message) of the DCI, and further determines whether a related MBS service state changes according to specific MBS service information in the MBS control information. And the UE interested in the broadcast service (including receiving) monitors Downlink Control Information (DCI) corresponding to an MBS special RNTI (e.g. N-RNTI), receives corresponding MBS control information according to the scheduling according to the broadcast service change indication, and further judges whether the related MBS service state changes according to the specific MBS service information in the MBS control information.
Or,
and the DCI corresponding to the special RNTI for the broadcast multicast service carries the indication information for indicating the change of the multicast service.
Specifically, the UE interested in the broadcast service (including receiving) monitors Downlink Control Information (DCI) corresponding to the paging RNTI, determines to receive corresponding MBS control information according to a broadcast service state change indication in a short message field (short message) of the DCI, and further determines whether the MBS service state related to the UE changes according to specific MBS service information in the MBS control information. And the UE interested in the multicast service (including receiving) monitors Downlink Control Information (DCI) corresponding to an MBS special RNTI (such as an N-RNTI), receives corresponding MBS control information according to the scheduling according to the multicast service state change indication, and further judges whether the related MBS service state changes according to the specific MBS service information in the MBS control information.
In the above method embodiment, the controlling, by the UE, the receiving of the multicast and broadcast service control information based on the multicast and broadcast service state change indication information may include:
when the changed service type indicated by the multicast broadcast service state change indication information is the same as the service type of the interested multicast broadcast service, the UE receives multicast broadcast service control information and judges whether the interested multicast broadcast service is changed or not based on the received multicast broadcast service control information; or,
and when the changed service type indicated by the multicast broadcast service state change indication information is different from the service type of the interested multicast broadcast service, the UE does not receive the multicast broadcast service control information.
Fig. 2 is a second schematic flowchart of a processing method for multicast broadcast service status change indication information according to an embodiment of the present application, where the method may be applied to a network side device such as a base station, as shown in fig. 2, the method at least includes the following steps:
step 200, sending multicast broadcast service state change indication information, wherein the multicast broadcast service state change indication information is used for indicating that multicast service or broadcast service changes;
in the embodiment of the present application, after any one of multicast and broadcast services (multicast service or broadcast service) in a cell changes, a base station does not directly send multicast and broadcast service control information to allow a UE to determine whether the changed service shows a service that the UE is interested in according to the control information, but first sends state change indication information to all UEs in the cell, where the state change indication information is used to indicate that the multicast service or the broadcast service changes.
The method comprises the steps of sending multicast broadcast service state change indication information to indicate that the multicast service changes when one or more service states in the multicast service supported by a network side device such as a base station change, or sending the multicast broadcast service state change indication information to indicate that the broadcast service changes when one or more service states in the broadcast service supported by the network side device change.
Specifically, when one or more services of which the service type is multicast in the intra-cell multicast broadcast service is changed, the state change indication information may be sent to all UEs within the cell to inform all UEs that the multicast service is changed at present. Similarly, when one or more services of which the service type is broadcast in the intra-cell multicast broadcast service is changed, the state change indication information may be sent to all UEs within the cell to inform all UEs that the change is currently broadcast service.
All UEs within the cell may receive the status change indication information, and thus know which specific service type has changed in the current multicast broadcast service in the cell.
Step 201, sending multicast broadcast service control information, where the multicast broadcast service control information is used to represent the multicast service or the change of the broadcast service.
Further, after sending the state change indication information, the base station may continue to send multicast broadcast service control information to all UEs in the cell range, where the multicast broadcast service control information may be specifically used to characterize the multicast service or the change of the broadcast service, and specifically, the multicast broadcast service control information may include multicast broadcast service information, where the service information may include an MBS service list, where the MBS service list includes all service-related information currently in progress in the serving cell, and the UE may know the current state of a service in which the UE is interested based on the list, for example, if a service is not in the list, it indicates that the service has ended; if a service is in the list, it indicates that the service has started or is in progress.
After receiving the above-mentioned state change indication information, the UE may determine, based on the state change indication information, which specific service type in the current intra-cell multicast broadcast service has changed, for example, the multicast service has changed, or the broadcast service has changed.
Moreover, the service types of interest for the UEs may be different, i.e. part of the UEs are interested in multicast services, and another part of the UEs are interested in broadcast services, although some UEs are interested in both multicast and broadcast services. For UEs with different service types of interest, after receiving the status change indication information, it may be determined whether the service type of the service in which the multicast broadcast service is changed in the current cell is of interest, and based on the determination result, it is determined whether to receive the multicast broadcast service control information.
Specifically, it is assumed that when the multicast service in the multicast broadcast service in the next cell changes, the state change indication information sent by the base station is specifically used for indicating that the multicast service changes. After a UE interested in the multicast service receives the status change indication information, it can know that the currently changed service type is consistent with the service type of interest of the UE, so that the UE can continue to receive the multicast broadcast service control information and determine the subsequent operation based on the change of the multicast service represented by the multicast broadcast service control information.
When a UE interested in broadcast service receives the state change indication information, it can know that the currently changed service type is inconsistent with the service type of interest of the UE, so that the UE can continue to monitor the state change indication information without continuing to receive multicast broadcast service control information, thereby avoiding extra power consumption of the UE and saving resources.
According to the method for processing the multicast broadcast service state change indication information, the changed service type is indicated through the multicast broadcast service state change indication information, so that the UE interested in different service types can judge whether the changed service type is consistent with the service type interested by the UE based on the state change indication information in advance, and can decide whether to continue to receive subsequent multicast broadcast service control information based on the judgment result, thereby avoiding extra power consumption of part of the UE and saving resources.
In the above method embodiment, the base station may send the multicast broadcast service status change indication information in the following manner: sending downlink control information DCI corresponding to a paging radio network temporary identifier RNTI, wherein a short message field in the DCI carries the multicast broadcast service state change indication information; or, sending downlink control information DCI corresponding to the radio network temporary identifier RNTI special for the broadcast multicast service, where the DCI carries the indication information of the multicast broadcast service state change.
Specifically, the network side device sends downlink control information DCI corresponding to the paging radio network temporary identifier RNTI, and a short message field in the DCI carries the multicast broadcast service state change indication information. The mobile terminal side receives corresponding MBS control information according to scheduling only when the state of the service (multicast or/and broadcast) which is interested in (including being received) of the mobile terminal side changes according to the indication in the short message field of the downlink control information DCI corresponding to the paging RNTI, and further judges whether the related MBS service state changes according to the specific MBS service information in the MBS control information.
Or, the network side device sends downlink control information DCI corresponding to the radio network temporary identifier RNTI for the broadcast multicast service, where a short message field in the DCI carries the multicast broadcast service state change indication information. The mobile terminal side receives corresponding MBS control information according to scheduling only when the state of the service (multicast or/and broadcast) which is interested in (including the receiving) of the mobile terminal side is changed according to the indication in the Downlink Control Information (DCI) corresponding to the special RNTI (such as N-RNTI) of the MBS, and further judges whether the state of the related MBS service of the mobile terminal side is changed according to the specific MBS service information in the MBS control information.
In the above method embodiment, when both the multicast service and the broadcast service in the multicast broadcast service in the cell are changed, the network side device, for example, the base station, needs to send two pieces of multicast broadcast service state change indication information, one is used to indicate that the multicast service is changed, and the other is used to indicate that the broadcast service is changed.
Specifically, the base station respectively sends downlink control information DCI corresponding to the paging radio network temporary identifier RNTI and downlink control information DCI corresponding to the broadcast multicast service private radio network temporary identifier RNTI;
the short message field in the DCI corresponding to the paging RNTI carries multicast broadcast service state change indication information for indicating that a multicast service changes, and the DCI corresponding to the broadcast multicast service dedicated RNTI carries multicast broadcast service state change indication information for indicating that a broadcast service changes; or
The short message field in the DCI corresponding to the paging RNTI carries multicast broadcast service state change indication information for indicating that a broadcast service changes, and the DCI corresponding to the special RNTI for the broadcast multicast service carries multicast broadcast service state change indication information for indicating that a multicast service changes.
The execution procedure related to the UE may refer to the embodiment of fig. 1, which is not described herein again.
Fig. 3 is a third flowchart of a processing method for indicating information about a multicast and broadcast service state change provided in this embodiment of the present application, where two independent fields are added to a Short Message (Short Message) field in downlink control information (also referred to as paging DCI) corresponding to a paging RNTI (i.e., a P-RNTI) sent by a 5G NR-RAN or different values of one field are used to respectively indicate a change of a multicast service or a broadcast service in a cell in progress; the present embodiment illustrates a specific implementation of the above method by a UE interested in broadcast service only, as shown in fig. 3, the method includes:
step 1: UEs, which are only interested in the broadcast service, connect to the 5G NR-RAN node and receive specific broadcast service data.
Step 2: a change in the status of a certain service (multicast and/or broadcast) ongoing under the NG-RAN node occurs, e.g. from a data transmission status to a stop data transmission status. The NG-RAN starts to indicate the change of the corresponding service type (multicast or broadcast) in a short message in the downlink control information corresponding to the paging RNTI.
Step 3 a: and the UE monitors the downlink control information corresponding to the paging RNTI, analyzes a short message (short message) field contained in the downlink control information, and ignores the field if the multicast service state is indicated to be changed, and does not perform corresponding operation.
And step 3 b: and the UE monitors the downlink control information corresponding to the paging RNTI, analyzes a short message (short message) field contained in the downlink control information, and starts to receive corresponding specific MBS service information according to the scheduling information if the broadcast service state is indicated to be changed. The NG-RAN may send the specific MBS service information (at least including the MBS service identifier such as TMGI) in one of the following ways, and the UE needs to receive the specific MBS service information on the corresponding channel.
a) And (5) system information. May be an enhancement of an existing system message or a new MBS specific system message.
b) Dedicated MBS control messages carried on MBS dedicated control channels (e.g., MCCH).
c) A paging message. Such as enhancements to existing paging messages (paging).
Step 4 a: the UE checks the service list in the MBS service information, and if it is found that the identifier (e.g., TMGI) corresponding to the broadcast service being received is removed from the service list, it determines that the data transmission state of the broadcast service is changed to stop, and the UE stops monitoring the corresponding service data transmission channel.
And 4b: if the broadcast service being received is still found in the MBS control information, the broadcast service is judged not to be changed.
Fig. 4 is a fourth flowchart illustrating a method for processing multicast broadcast service state change indication information according to an embodiment of the present application, where in a manner of sending MBS control information based on an MBS control channel (e.g., MCCH), two independent fields are added to Downlink Control Information (DCI) corresponding to an RNTI (e.g., N-RNTI) through a special MBS notification, or different values of one field are used to indicate that a cell is in an ongoing multicast service or a change of a broadcast service, respectively. The present embodiment illustrates a specific implementation of the above method by a UE interested in only broadcast services and receiving a certain broadcast service, as shown in fig. 4, the method includes:
step 1: the UEs, which are only interested in the broadcast service, connect to the 5G NR-RAN node and receive specific broadcast service data.
Step 2: a change in the status of a certain service (multicast and/or broadcast) ongoing under the NG-RAN node occurs, e.g. from a data transmission status to a stop data transmission status. The NG-RAN starts to indicate a change of the corresponding service type (multicast and/or broadcast) in Downlink Control Information (DCI) corresponding to the MBS notification RNTI (e.g., N-RNTI).
Step 3 a: the UE monitors Downlink Control Information (DCI) corresponding to an MBS notification RNTI (such as an N-RNTI), and if the multicast service state is indicated to be changed, the field is ignored and no corresponding operation is performed.
And step 3 b: the UE monitors Downlink Control Information (DCI) corresponding to an MBS notification RNTI (for example, N-RNTI), and if the state indicating the broadcast service type in the DCI changes, the UE starts to receive corresponding specific MBS service information according to the scheduling information. The NG-RAN may send specific MBS service information (at least including MBS service identity such as TMGI) in one of the following ways, and the UE needs to receive the specific MBS service information on the corresponding channel.
And (5) system information. May be an enhancement of an existing system message or a new MBS specific system message.
Dedicated MBS control messages carried on MBS dedicated control channels (e.g., MCCH).
A paging message.
And 4b, if the broadcast service being received is still found in the MBS control information, judging that the broadcast service is not changed.
Fig. 5 is a fifth flowchart illustrating a method for processing multicast broadcast service state change indication information according to an embodiment of the present application, where a Short Message (Short Message) field in Downlink Control Information (DCI) corresponding to a paging RNTI (i.e., a P-RNTI) sent by an NG-RAN only indicates a change of a multicast service, and a dedicated notification RNTI (e.g., an SC-N-RNTI) is used to indicate a change of a broadcast service in downlink control information (hereinafter, referred to as MCCH based DCI) corresponding to the RNTI is sent in a manner of sending MBS control information based on an MBS control channel (e.g., MCCH). The present example illustrates a specific implementation of the above method with one UE1 interested only in multicast services and one UE2 interested only in broadcast services. As shown in fig. 5, the method includes:
UE1 related steps:
step 1: UE1, which is only interested in multicast services, connects to the 5G NR-RAN node and receives specific multicast service data.
Step 2: a change occurs in a certain multicast service state in progress under the NG-RAN node, for example from a data transmission state to a stop data transmission state. The NG-RAN starts to indicate a change of multicast service on Downlink Control Information (DCI) corresponding to a paging RNTI, i.e. a P-RNTI.
And step 3: the UE1 monitors Downlink Control Information (DCI) corresponding to the paging RNTI (i.e., P-RNTI), and when it is found that the state indicating the multicast service in the DCI changes, the UE1 starts to receive the corresponding specific MBS service information according to the scheduling information.
Such as enhancements to existing paging messages (paging).
Step 4 a: the UE1 checks the service list in the MBS service information, and if the identifier (e.g., TMGI) corresponding to the receiving multicast service is removed from the service list, determines that the data transmission status of the multicast service is changed to stop, and the UE1 stops monitoring the corresponding service data transmission channel.
Step 4b, if finding the multicast service being received is still in the MBS control information, then judging that the multicast service is not changed, and then continuing to monitor the state change indication message.
UE2 related steps:
step 1: the UE2, which is interested only in broadcast services, connects to the 5G NR-RAN node and receives specific broadcast traffic data.
Step 2: a change in the status of a certain service (multicast and/or broadcast) ongoing under the NG-RAN node occurs, e.g. from a data transmission status to a stop data transmission status. The NG-RAN starts to indicate a change of the broadcast service in Downlink Control Information (DCI) corresponding to the MBS notification RNTI (e.g., N-RNTI).
Step 3 a: the UE2 listens to Downlink Control Information (DCI) corresponding to an MBS notification RNTI (e.g., N-RNTI), and if it is indicated that the broadcast service status changes, the UE2 starts to receive corresponding specific MBS service information according to the scheduling information. The NG-RAN may send the specific MBS service information (including at least the MBS service identity such as TMGI) in one of the following ways, and the UE2 needs to receive the specific MBS service information on the corresponding channel according to the specific MBS service information.
And (5) system information. May be an enhancement of an existing system message or a new MBS specific system message.
Dedicated MBS control messages carried on MBS dedicated control channels (e.g., MCCH).
A paging message. Such as enhancements to existing paging messages (paging).
Step 4 a: the UE2 checks the service list in the MBS service information, and if the identifier (e.g., TMGI) corresponding to the broadcast service being received is removed from the service list, determines that the data transmission status of the broadcast service is changed to stop, and the UE2 stops monitoring the corresponding service data transmission channel.
And 4b, if the broadcast service being received is still found in the MBS control information, judging that the broadcast service is not changed, and continuing to monitor the state change indication message.
Fig. 6 is a sixth flowchart illustrating a method for processing multicast broadcast service state change indication information according to an embodiment of the present application, where only a change of a broadcast service is indicated in a Short Message (Short Message) field in downlink control information (hereinafter, abbreviated as "paging DCI") corresponding to a paging RNTI (i.e., a P-RNTI) sent by an NG-RAN, and the change of the multicast service is indicated in the downlink control information (hereinafter, abbreviated as "MCCH based DCI") corresponding to a special notification RNTI (e.g., an SC-N-RNTI) in a manner of sending the MBS control information based on an MBS control channel (e.g., an MCCH). The NG-RAN starts to indicate the change of multicast service in Downlink Control Information (DCI) corresponding to MBS notification RNTI (e.g., N-RNTI).
Step 3 a: the UE2 listens to Downlink Control Information (DCI) corresponding to an MBS notification RNTI (e.g., N-RNTI), and if it is indicated that the multicast service status changes, the UE2 starts to receive corresponding specific MBS service information according to the scheduling information. The NG-RAN may send the specific MBS service information (including at least the MBS service identity such as TMGI) in one of the following ways, and the UE2 needs to receive the specific MBS service information on the corresponding channel according to the specific MBS service information.
