The detecting module 12 can be used for detecting the using state of the portable display device 1 according to the image displayed on the display unit 222, and the external processing module 13 can be used for generating external display information according to the using state. The detection module 12 can also be used to read the encrypted barcode displayed on the display unit 222, and the external processing module 13 can decrypt the encrypted barcode.
In addition, in one embodiment, the external computing device 1 may be connected to a database, and the external processing module 11 may compare the identification information with the file data stored in the database to generate the external display information. In other words, in addition to manually performing the identification and authentication according to the image displayed on the display unit 222, the external computing device 1 can automatically perform the identification and authentication according to the information displayed in the image in the embodiment of the present invention.
Alternatively, in one embodiment, the external computing device 1 may first utilize the detecting module 12 to obtain the identification information of the user (e.g., consumer) from the image displayed on the display unit 222, and then compare the identification information with the information pre-stored in the database through the external processing module 13, and then another user (e.g., staff of the event host) manually determines whether the user holding the portable identification device 2 matches the identification information in the image displayed on the display unit 222. Further explanation will be made later by a description of an operation method of the electronic paper identification system S, and a specific embodiment.
Please refer to fig. 4 to 6. Fig. 4 to 6 are flowcharts illustrating an operation method of the electronic paper identification system according to an embodiment of the present invention. As shown in fig. 4, an operation method of the electronic paper identification system according to the embodiment of the present invention includes: providing a portable identification device 2 comprising an electronic paper module 22 and a wireless communication module 21 electrically coupled to the electronic paper module 22, wherein the electronic paper module 22 comprises a processing unit 221 and a display unit 222 electrically coupled to the processing unit 221 (step S400); transmitting at least one external display information to the wireless communication module 21 through the external communication module 11 of the external operation device 1 (step S402); receiving external display information through the wireless communication module 21 and transmitting the external display information to the processing unit 221 of the electronic paper module 22 (step S404); and driving the display unit 222 through the processing unit 221, so that the display unit 222 displays an image frame corresponding to the external display information according to the external display information, wherein the image frame at least includes the identification information and the auxiliary information (step S406).
Specifically, the operation method is performed by the electronic paper identification system S. Therefore, details regarding the constituent components of the electronic paper identification system S will not be described again. First, in step S400, the portable identification device 2 is provided. Next, in step S402, the external display information is transmitted to the wireless communication module 21 of the portable identification device 2 through the external communication module 11 of the external computing device 1. The signal transmission process of step S402 will be described later with reference to an embodiment.
Next, in step S404, the wireless communication module 21 receives the external display information and transmits the external display information to the processing unit 221. Finally, in step S406, the processing unit 221 drives the display unit 222 to make the display unit 222 display the corresponding image frame according to the external display information. It should be noted that steps S404 and S406 are not necessarily performed continuously. For example, as mentioned above, after the wireless communication module 21 receives the external display information and transmits the external display information to the processing unit 221, the processing unit 221 may first store the external display information in the storage module 223, and when the corresponding image frame needs to be displayed, the display unit 222 is driven according to the external display information to perform the step S406 of displaying the image.
Please refer to fig. 5. As shown in fig. 5, the operation method of the electronic paper identification system S according to the embodiment of the present invention may further include the following steps: transmitting the update information to the passive radio frequency identification unit through the radio frequency identification reader (step S502); receiving the update information through the passive rfid unit, and transmitting the update information to the processing unit 221 of the electronic paper module 22 (step S504); and driving the display unit 222 through the processing unit 221, so that the display unit 222 updates the auxiliary information in the image frame according to the update information (step S506).
In detail, the steps shown in fig. 5 are a flow chart of an operation method according to an embodiment of the present invention. In this embodiment, the wireless communication module 21 includes a passive rfid unit, and the external communication module 11 includes a rfid reader. In other words, in the embodiment shown in fig. 5, the external display information is transmitted by radio frequency technology. In addition, in this embodiment, the external display information includes the update information, and before the step S502 is performed, the display unit 222 of the portable identification device 2 already displays an image frame generated according to one external display information. In detail, the update information transmitted in step S502 is used to update the image frame already displayed on the display unit 222.
In addition, as shown in fig. 6, in an embodiment of the present invention, before steps S502, S504, and S506, the method for operating an electronic paper identification system may further include the following steps: the identification information is read from the passive rfid unit of the portable identification device 2 by the rfid reader/writer (step S500). In other words, before the update information is transmitted to the passive rfid unit through the rfid reader, the identification information provided by the portable identification device 2 may be read first, and then whether to perform the step of transmitting the update information is determined.
Specifically, when the image on the display unit 222 is to be updated, the external computing device 1 may confirm the information displayed on the image on the display unit 222 in advance, and transmit the corresponding update information to the wireless communication module 21 of the portable identification device 2 according to the confirmed information. For example, in this embodiment, the external computing device 1 may further include an external processing module 13, and after the external computing device 1 reads the identification information in the image displayed by the display unit 222 through the external communication module 11 (e.g., a radio frequency identification reader/writer, etc.), the external processing module 13 performs processing and operation according to the received identification information, so as to generate the update information.
The present invention will be further illustrated by the following specific examples.
First embodiment
In a first embodiment, the electronic paper identity recognition system S provided in the embodiment of the present invention is used for providing a ticket for an event. For example, the event may be a concert, exhibition, seminar, and exchange, etc. First, the event host collects personal data from consumers (event attendees) through an event registration process. The profile may include a name of the activity participant, a photograph, or other profile identifying the identity of the activity participant. Then, the event host produces personalized admission ticket information based on the acquired personal data. The manner in which the personalized ticket information is made is not limited in embodiments of the invention. For example, the personalized ticket information may be generated by a personal computer or a specific application on the mobile device. In addition, personalized ticket information may be presented by way of a drawing and/or text file.
Then, the personalized ticket information can be transmitted from the external computing device 1 to the portable identification device 2 as the external display information. In this embodiment, the external communication module 11 of the external computing device 1 may include a radio frequency identification reader, an NFC communication unit or a bluetooth unit, and the external communication module 11 transmits the external display information to the wireless communication module 21 of the portable identification device 2. In this case, the wireless communication module 21 has a communication function corresponding to the external communication module 11.
After receiving the external display information, the wireless communication module 21 transmits the external display information to the processing unit 221, and the processing unit 221 drives the display unit 222, so that the display unit 222 displays an image corresponding to the external display information, i.e., a personalized ticket image according to the external display information. The personalized ticket screen may include collected consumer profile (identification information) and activity-related information (collateral information). Then, the portable identification device 2 can be transferred from the event host to the consumer as an event ticket.
It should be noted that, since the display unit 222 in the embodiment of the present invention displays the image frame through the electronic paper technology, the image frame can be ensured to be permanently displayed without disappearing without supplying power to the portable identification device 2.
Then, when the image displayed on the display unit 222 is to be changed, the change can be performed by the event host or the consumer according to the actual requirement. In this embodiment, when the event host produces the portable identification device 2, the external display information transmitted to the wireless communication module 21 may include main information and update information, where the main information in the external display information is used to enable the processing unit 221 to drive the display unit 222 to display an image, and the update information in the external display information is stored in the storage unit 223 by the processing unit 221. Therefore, when the consumer receives the portable identification device 2, the image displayed by the display unit 222 can be generated by the main information in the external display information. Then, when the time passes through the predetermined period or reaches a specific time point, the timer 231 of the timing module 23 in the portable identification device 2 can send an instruction to the processing unit 221, so that the processing unit 221 drives the display unit 222 to update the displayed image at the time point.
Alternatively, in another usage scenario, the consumer may change the image frame through the application program on the mobile device after obtaining the portable identification device 2. For example, the consumer can change information other than the identification information in the image, such as a poster image of a new concert, and add fun to the image.
Then, on the day of the event, the consumer can enter the event venue with the portable identification device 2. In one usage scenario, the display unit 222 of the portable identification device 2 displays a photo of the consumer, and at the entrance of the event venue, it is manually determined whether the user holding the portable identification device 2 matches the photo displayed on the display unit 222. In another use scenario, the external computing device 1 may be disposed at the entrance of the event venue, and the external computing device 1 may receive the identification information from the portable identification device 2. For example, the external communication module 11 of the external computing device 1 receives the identification information from the wireless communication module 21, or the detection module 12 of the external computing device 1 can receive the identification information according to the image frame. The received identification information may then be manually verified by the event host or automatically verified by the external computing device 1.
After confirming that the identity information of the consumer matches the registration information, the external computing device 1 may transmit the update information to the passive rfid unit of the wireless communication module 21 through the external communication module 11 (e.g., the external communication module 11 including the rfid reader), and the update information is transmitted to the processing unit 221, so that the display unit 222 updates the image frame according to the update information. For example, the image screen updated by the above method can display the "entered" character or pattern (e-seal).
Similarly, the portable identification device 2 can also be used as a ticket for picking up and redeeming event-related products at an event venue. Similar to the above process, when the above function is performed, the image frame can be updated to display, for example, the "exchanged" note text or pattern by the update information transmitted to the portable identification device 2. In this usage scenario, the detecting module 12 and the external processing module 13 of the external computing device 1 can also be used to detect the usage status of the portable identification device 2, i.e. determine whether the portable identification device 2 has been used to enter an event venue or used to pick up and exchange products.
Finally, after the event is finished, the portable identification device 2 can be recovered by the event host for reuse, or can be owned by the consumer, and the consumer can also change the image on the display unit 222 through the application program of the mobile device. For example, the image frames may be modified such that the image frames include photographs taken during the day of the event as a permanent souvenir.
Second embodiment
Please refer to fig. 7. Fig. 7 is a flowchart of an operation method of the electronic paper identification system S according to still another embodiment of the invention. In a second embodiment, the electronic paper identification system S provided in the embodiment of the present invention can be used to perform a dual identity authentication procedure.
As shown in fig. 7, in step S702, the first user provides a photo and a recognition message to the second user. In this particular embodiment, the first user may be, for example, a consumer (event attendee) and the second user may be, for example, a person of an event sponsor. The first user provides a photo such as a certificate photo and a recognition message such as a secret language to the second user in step S702. In an embodiment of the present invention, the whisper may be a text message set by the first user, for example, a birthday of the first user.
Next, in step S704, the second user manufactures the portable identification device 2 according to the photo and the identification message, and the display unit 222 of the portable identification device 2 displays the photo and the encrypted QR code. In detail, the second user can transmit the prepared ticket document to the portable identification device 2 through the external computing device 1 for displaying (as an image) on the display unit 222. The image frame may include a photograph and an encrypted QR code made from the identification information. In this way, only the photograph and the encrypted QR code can be visually observed through the display unit 222, and the identification information cannot be known.
In step S706, the second user transfers the portable identification device 2 to the first user. For example, the event host may send the portable identification device 2 to the consumer or the consumer may go to pick up the portable identification device. Then, when the event arrives at the event venue on the day, the consumer (the first user) may present the portable identification device 2 (S708). At this time, the staff (as the second user) at the entrance of the event venue may first confirm whether the consumer is an event reporter through the photo displayed on the display unit 222 of the portable identification device 2. Then, the second user scans the encrypted QR code to obtain the identification message (step S710). It should be noted that the encrypted QR code may be obtained by decryption only by the external computing device 1 used by the second user. Thereafter, the second user may request the first user to provide the identification message, and the first user dictates the identification message (step S712). Then, the second user compares whether the identification messages are consistent. Specifically, the second user may confirm and check whether the identification message spoken by the first user is correct based on the identification message obtained by scanning the encrypted QR code, thereby confirming the identity of the first user again.
In this embodiment, in addition to the photo (image) displayed on the portable identification device 2, the identification information (text) is further used to perform the user's identification check. Therefore, the system and the method adopting the double identity authentication can greatly increase the safety of identity identification. In addition, if the photo displayed on the portable identification device 2 cannot be recognized in the field due to a large difference, the recognition message can be used as an auxiliary means for identification.
In addition, since the identification message (ciphertext) is presented on the display unit 222 of the portable identification device 2 in the form of the encrypted QR code, only the external computing device 1 capable of decrypting the encrypted QR code can obtain the identification message through the QR code, so that theoretically, before entering the event venue, only the consumer (first user) who originally set the identification message knows the content of the identification message and can ensure the identification effect.
In one use case of this embodiment, the identification message may be changed at irregular time, for example, the user may change the identification message through a specific application program, so as to change the encrypted QR code displayed on the display unit 222 of the portable identification device 2. Therefore, the security strength of the electronic paper identification system S can be greatly increased through the double identity authentication procedures.
The main technical means of the present invention is that the portable identification device 2, the electronic paper identification system S and the operation method thereof provided by the present invention are mutually matched with the external operation device 1 through the design of the wireless communication module 21, the electronic paper module 22 and the timing module 23 in the portable identification device 2, so as to display specific information through the display unit 222 of the electronic paper module 22, and conveniently and effectively achieve the purpose of high-security identification by using the information.
In detail, the electronic paper module 22 which does not need to supply power and can permanently store the displayed picture is used as a component for displaying the picture, so that the cost of setting a power supply unit can be saved, the image picture displayed by the display unit 222 can be changed when a small amount of current is supplied to the portable identification device 2 according to the requirement, and the use flexibility and the convenience are greatly improved.
Furthermore, as mentioned above, the portable identification device 2, the electronic paper identification system S and the operation method thereof provided by the present invention can be used for performing different levels of security identification and verification steps. In detail, besides recognizing the user's identity through the photo, the accuracy of the identity recognition can be greatly enhanced by using a specially designed process based on other identity recognition messages provided by the portable identity recognition device 2.
Finally, it should be noted that: the above examples are only intended to illustrate the technical solution of the present invention, but not to limit it; although the present invention has been described in detail with reference to the foregoing embodiments, it should be understood by those of ordinary skill in the art that: the technical solutions described in the foregoing embodiments may still be modified, or some technical features may be equivalently replaced; and such modifications or substitutions do not depart from the spirit and scope of the corresponding technical solutions of the embodiments of the present invention.
