Description

Audio signal playing control system and method
Technical Field
The present invention relates to an audio signal playing control system and method, and more particularly, to an audio signal playing control system and method for a USB audio adapter, which detects the level of a pin of the USB audio adapter inserted into an electronic device to select different playing devices to play audio signals.
Background
In a typical audio/video device such as a computer, a television, a game machine, or a mobile phone, a host has an audio system built therein and outputs sound through a speaker or an earphone hole in the device. The user may also insert a compliant audio adapter to extend other audio output devices. The audio adapter can also combine the wired or wireless network transmission function to transfer the audio data received and sent by a universal serial bus (USB bus) to a wired or wireless network and transmit the audio data to a remote loudspeaker or earphone.
When the host detects that the audio adapter is inserted, the system will automatically transfer the audio communication path from the built-in speaker to the audio adapter. When the host detects that the audio adapter is removed, the system will switch the audio communication path from the audio adapter back to the built-in speaker. If the host is a small portable device such as a cell phone or a hand-held game machine, the action of inserting and extracting the audio adapter is convenient for the user, but if the host is a large fixed device such as a television, it is troublesome for the user.

When the connector of the audio adapter is inserted into the port of the electronic device, the audio adapter and the electronic device are connected in an unconnected state. When the audio adapter is disconnected or not connected with the remote playing device, the audio adapter reports a disconnection signal to the electronic device, and the electronic device controls the built-in broadcasting device of the electronic device to play the audio signal provided by the electronic device according to the disconnection signal. When the audio adapter is wirelessly connected with the far-end playing device, the audio adapter reports the connected signal to the electronic device, and the electronic device controls the built-in playing device to stop playing the audio signal according to the connected signal, provides the audio signal to the audio adapter, and then transmits the audio signal to the far-end playing device through the audio adapter for playing.
In one embodiment of the present application, the connector of the audio adapter is a USB connector. The port of the electronic device is a USB port.
According to an embodiment of the present application, when the audio adapter is plugged into the electronic device but not connected to the remote playback device, the D + pin of the audio adapter is kept at a low voltage level. When the electronic device detects the low potential, it determines that the audio adapter and the electronic device are disconnected or disconnected.
According to an embodiment of the present application, when the audio adapter is plugged into the electronic device and connected to the remote playback device, the D + pin of the audio adapter is kept at a high voltage level. When the electronic device detects a high potential, the electronic device determines that the audio adapter is connected with the electronic device, and the electronic device switches the audio signal from the built-in broadcasting device to the audio adapter for broadcasting.
According to one embodiment of the application, when the Bluetooth wireless connection between the audio adapter and the remote broadcasting device is disconnected, the D + pin of the audio adapter is kept at a low potential. When the electronic device detects the low potential, it determines that the audio adapter and the electronic device are disconnected or disconnected. When the electronic device switches the audio signal back to the built-in broadcasting device and switches the built-in broadcasting device back to the unconnected state, the electronic device switches the built-in broadcasting device back to control the built-in broadcasting device to broadcast the audio signal.
According to one embodiment of the present application, the built-in playback device includes a speaker built in the electronic device. The far-end playing device comprises a far-end loudspeaker, a far-end earphone or a combination thereof.
In addition, the present application provides an audio signal playing control method, comprising the following steps: (a) maintaining the audio adapter plugged into the electronic device; (b) the audio adapter judges whether to connect with the far-end playing device, if not, the audio adapter maintains the state of not connecting with the electronic device, the electronic device plays audio signals by utilizing the built-in playing device, the subsequent steps are not executed, if yes, the subsequent steps are executed; (c) the audio adapter maintains a connection state with the electronic device, and the electronic device transmits an audio signal from the electronic device to the audio adapter in a wired mode; (d) the audio adapter is wirelessly transmitted to the remote playing device; and (e) playing the audio signal by using the remote playing device, and then returning to the step (b).
According to an embodiment of the present application, the audio signal playing control system further comprises the following steps: (f) when the audio adapter is not connected with the far-end playing device, the D + pin of the audio adapter is kept at a low potential; (g) according to the low potential, the electronic device determines that the audio adapter is not connected with the electronic device, and the built-in playing device plays the audio signal.
According to an embodiment of the present application, the method for controlling the playing of the audio signal further comprises the following steps: (h) when the audio adapter is connected with the far-end playing device, the D + pin of the audio adapter is kept at a high potential; and (i) according to the high potential, the electronic device determines that the audio adapter and the electronic device are connected and determines that the audio adapter plays audio signals.
According to an embodiment of the present application, the method for controlling playback of an audio signal further comprises the steps of: (j) wirelessly connecting the audio adapter to the remote broadcasting device through Bluetooth; (k) transmitting the audio signal from the audio adapter to the remote playing device for playing through a Bluetooth transmission technology; (l) Judging whether the far-end of the audio adapter and the far-end broadcasting device are switched back to the disconnection state or not or the far-end broadcasting device moves out of a connectable range to cause the far-end of the audio adapter to be disconnected, if not, returning to the step (k), and if so, executing the next step (m); (m) switching to playing the audio signal by the built-in broadcasting device.
As described above, the present application provides an audio signal playing control system and method, in which an audio adapter reports a connection or disconnection status of a host according to a connection status with a remote playing device, such as a speaker or a headphone. When the network is connected, the audio adapter reports the connected signal (for example, the pin of the USB audio adapter remains high), so that the audio adapter transmits the connected signal to the remote playback device through the wireless network to play the audio signal. On the contrary, when the network is disconnected, the audio adapter reports the disconnected signal (for example, the pin of the USB audio adapter is kept at a low potential) to switch to play the audio signal by the built-in playing device.

Detailed Description
The following is a description of embodiments of the present application with reference to specific embodiments, and those skilled in the art will understand the advantages and effects of the present application from the disclosure of the present application. The present application is capable of other and different embodiments and its several details are capable of modifications and variations in various respects, all without departing from the present application. The drawings in the present application are for illustrative purposes only and are not intended to be drawn to scale. The following embodiments will further describe the related technical content of the present application in detail, but the disclosure is not intended to limit the scope of the present application. In addition, the term "or" as used herein should be taken to include any one or combination of more of the associated listed items as the case may be.
Referring to fig. 1 and fig. 2, fig. 1 is a schematic configuration diagram of an audio adapter and a liquid crystal display device of an audio signal playing control system according to an embodiment of the present application; fig. 2 is a schematic configuration diagram of an audio adapter, a liquid crystal display device and a bluetooth headset of an audio signal playing control system according to an embodiment of the present application.
As shown in fig. 1 and fig. 2, the audio signal playing control system according to the embodiment of the present application may include an audio adapter 10, such as a USB audio adapter. The audio adapter 10 may have a slot, such as but not limited to a USB slot.
For example, one end of an additional connection line, such as a USB connector, can be inserted into a matching slot, such as a USB slot, of the audio adapter, and the other end of the connection line can be inserted into a port or a slot of the electronic device 20 (e.g., a liquid crystal display device), so as to connect the audio adapter 10 to the electronic device 20 through the connection line. Alternatively, the audio adapter 10 itself may have a connector (such as, but not limited to, a USB connector) that may be plugged directly into a port (such as, but not limited to, a USB port) of the mating electronic device 20.
When the audio adapter 10 shown in fig. 1 is not connected to any remote playback device, the audio adapter 10 reports an unconnected signal to the electronic device 20. The electronic device 20 controls the built-in broadcasting device to broadcast the audio signal according to the unconnected signal.
When the audio adapter 10 shown in fig. 2 is wirelessly connected to a remote playback device 30 (such as, but not limited to, a bluetooth headset), the audio adapter 10 reports a wired signal to the electronic device 20. The electronic device 20 controls the built-in playback device to stop playing the audio signal according to the connected signal, provides the audio signal to the audio adapter 10, and transmits the audio signal to the remote playback device 30 through the audio adapter 10 for playback.
Referring to fig. 3 and 4, fig. 3 is a block diagram illustrating a low voltage level of an audio adapter of an audio signal playing control system according to an embodiment of the present application; fig. 4 is a block diagram illustrating an audio adapter of an audio signal playing control system according to an embodiment of the present application converting a pin from a low voltage level to a high voltage level when the audio adapter is wirelessly connected to a remote playing device.
As shown in fig. 3, a connector (of a connection cord), such as a USB connector, of the audio adapter 10 is inserted into a port, such as a USB port, of the electronic device 20. At this time, the audio adapter 10 keeps one of the pins D + of the audio adapter 10 at the low voltage VL.
The detection element 24 of the electronic device 20 may electrically contact the pin D + of the audio adapter 10 inserted into the port of the electronic device 20. When the detecting element 24 of the electronic device 20 detects that the pin D + of the audio adapter 10 is the low voltage VL, it outputs an unconnected line detecting signal.
The control component 22 of the electronic device 20 is connected to the detection component 24 and the audio signal providing component 21. When the control component 22 of the electronic device 20 receives the disconnection detection signal from the detection component 24, the control component 22 determines that the audio adapter 10 is disconnected from the electronic device 20, and accordingly selects the on-board broadcasting device 23, so that an audio communication path/audio path is formed among the audio signal providing component 21, the control component 22 and the on-board broadcasting device 23. In this case, the control component 22 transmits the audio signal provided by the audio signal providing component 21 to the on-board broadcasting device 23 (such as, but not limited to, a loudspeaker) to play the audio signal by the on-board broadcasting device 23 as shown in fig. 1 and 3.
Next, as shown in fig. 4, the connector (of the connection cord) of the audio adapter 10 remains inserted into the port of the electronic device 20. It should be noted that the audio adapter 10 is connected to the remote playing device 30 wirelessly, such as a speaker or a headphone. In this case, the audio adapter 10 changes the pin D of the audio adapter 10 from the low potential VL to the high potential VH.
When the detecting element 24 of the electronic device 20 detects that the pin D + of the audio adapter 10 is the high voltage VH, it outputs a connected detecting signal. When the control element 22 of the electronic device 20 receives the connected detection signal (i.e. the pin D + of the audio adapter 10 is the high voltage VH) from the detection element 24, the control element 22 determines that the audio adapter 10 and the electronic device 20 are connected, and accordingly selects the audio adapter 10, so that the audio signal providing element 21, the control element 22 and the audio adapter 10 form an audio communication path/audio channel, and the audio adapter 10 and the remote playback device 30 form an audio communication path/audio channel.
In this case, the control component 22 of the electronic device 20 transmits the audio signal to the audio adapter 10, and then the audio adapter 10 transmits the audio signal to the remote playing device 30 (instead of transmitting the audio signal to the on-board broadcasting device 23), so as to play the audio signal by the remote playing device 30 as shown in fig. 2 and 4. At this time, the built-in sound broadcasting device 23 does not broadcast the audio signal.
In the process of playing the audio signal by the remote playback device 30, the remote playback device 30 may not be within a connectable range due to moving too far away from the audio adapter 10, or may receive bad signals, which may cause a disconnection between the audio adapter 10 and the remote playback device 30. When the disconnection occurs, the audio adapter 10 switches the pin D + of the audio adapter 10 from the high potential VH back to the low potential VL.
When the detecting element 24 of the control element 22 detects that the pin D + of the audio adapter 10 is low, it outputs a disconnection detecting signal to the control element 22 again as shown in fig. 3. In this case, the control component 22 of the electronic device 20 determines that the electronic device 20 is not connected to the audio adapter 10 according to the disconnection detection signal, and transmits the audio signal to the on-board broadcasting device 23 to control the on-board broadcasting device 23 to broadcast the audio signal.
Since the far-end playing device 30 may have played a part of the audio signal when the audio adapter 10 is disconnected from the electronic device 20, the control component 22 may transmit only the remaining unplayed part of the audio signal to the audio adapter 10, or transmit the complete audio signal to the audio adapter 10.
Please refer to fig. 5, which is a block diagram illustrating a low voltage level of an audio adapter of an audio signal playback control system according to an embodiment of the present application.
When the audio adapter 10 is not connected or disconnected with the electronic device 20, the audio signal can be played by the built-in broadcasting device 23 inside the electronic device 20 as shown in fig. 1 and 3, or can be played by the built-in broadcasting device 26 (such as but not limited to a speaker) disposed outside the electronic device 20 and connected to the electronic device 20 by a wire as shown in fig. 5.
Please refer to fig. 6, which is a flowchart illustrating steps of an audio signal playing control method according to an embodiment of the present application.
As shown in fig. 6, the audio signal playing control method of the present embodiment includes the following steps S101 to S113, which can be executed as the aforementioned audio signal playing control system.
In step S101, the audio adapter 10 is kept plugged into the electronic device 20.
In step S103, the control component 22 of the electronic device 20 determines whether the audio adapter 10 is connected to the electronic device 20 according to the level of the pin D + of the audio adapter 10. If the voltage level of the pin D + of the audio adapter 10 is low, it is determined that the audio adapter 10 is not connected to the electronic device 20, and then steps S105 and S107 are sequentially performed. On the contrary, if the voltage level of the pin D + of the audio adapter 10 is high, it is determined that the audio adapter 10 is connected to the electronic device 20, and then steps S109 to S113 are sequentially performed.
In step S105, the control component 22 of the electronic device 20 transmits the audio signal to the on-board broadcasting device 30.
In step S107, the electronic device 20 plays the received audio signal by using the on-board broadcasting device 30.
In step S109, the audio signal is transmitted from the electronic device 20 to the audio adapter 10.
In step S111, the audio signal is wirelessly transmitted to the remote playback device 30 through the audio adapter 10.
In step S113, the received audio signal is played by the remote playback device 30.
During or after steps S107 and S113, step S103 may be returned to again to determine whether there is a change in the connection state between the current audio adapter 10 and the electronic device 20.
[ advantageous effects of the embodiments ]
One of the benefits of the present application is that, in the audio signal playing control system and the method thereof provided by the present application, the audio adapter reports the connection or disconnection status of the host according to the connection status with the remote playing device, such as a speaker or an earphone.
The disclosure is only a preferred embodiment of the present application and is not intended to limit the claims of the present application, so that all technical equivalents which may be made by using the contents of the specification and the drawings of the present application are included in the claims of the present application.
