Detailed Description
Hereinafter, a specific embodiment of a steering wheel according to the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings. The following detailed description and drawings are included to illustrate the principles of the invention, which is not limited to the preferred embodiments described, but rather are intended to cover various embodiments of the invention, alone or in any combination, and the scope of the invention is defined by the claims.
In addition, spatially relative terms (such as "upper," "lower," "left," and "right," etc.) are used to describe one element's relative positional relationship with another element as illustrated in the figures. Spatially relative terms may therefore apply in other orientations than those illustrated in the figures, when used. It will be apparent that although for ease of illustration all of these spatially relative terms refer to the orientation shown in the drawings, those skilled in the art will appreciate that orientations other than those shown in the drawings may be used.
Fig. 1 schematically shows a steering wheel according to an embodiment of the present invention. A steering wheel according to an embodiment of the present invention is described below with reference to fig. 1.
As shown in fig. 1, a steering wheel 10 according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a steering wheel rim 110 and a steering wheel bracket 120, the steering wheel rim 110 being movable relative to the steering wheel bracket 120, and the steering wheel rim 110 being mounted to be rotatable about a first rotation axis. In the steering wheel 10 shown in fig. 1, which is substantially perpendicular to the paper in fig. 1, the rotation of the steering wheel rim 110 about the first axis of rotation can be understood as being for setting a desired vehicle travel direction.
With continued reference to fig. 1, the steering wheel 10 further includes a pivot axle 130, the steering wheel rim 110 being configured to be connected to the steering wheel bracket 120 via the pivot axle 130 so as to be pivotable relative to the steering wheel bracket 120 about a second axis of rotation of the pivot axle 130 (i.e., the axis of rotation of the pivot axle 130 itself). And particularly, in the steering wheel 10 shown in fig. 1, the pivot shafts 130 are fixedly connected with the spokes of the steering wheel rim 110, but this is merely an example, and the pivot shafts may be provided to be fixedly connected with the peripheral portion of the steering wheel rim according to actual circumstances. And, steering wheel 10 further includes a link 140 and a drive device 150, a first end 1401 of link 140 being coupled to steering wheel rim 110 (e.g., hinged with a hinge, or other fixed connection that rotatably couples the first end to the steering wheel rim) for movement with steering wheel rim 110. It should be noted that first end 1401 of link 140 may be coupled to steering wheel rim 110 while being able to rotate relative to steering wheel rim 110. The second end 1402 of the link 140 is drivingly connected to the drive device 150 and is linearly displaced when driven by the drive device 150 to pivot the steering wheel rim 110 relative to the steering wheel support 120 about a second axis of rotation. In other words, it can also be understood that the link 140, when driven by the drive means 150, is capable of pivoting the steering wheel rim 110 relative to the steering wheel 120 about the pivot axis 130. Furthermore, the first axis of rotation is perpendicular to the second axis of rotation. It can be appreciated that pivoting of the steering wheel rim 110 relative to the steering wheel 120 about the pivot axis 130 causes the steering wheel rim 110 to fold relative to the steering wheel support 120, and therefore the space occupied by the steering wheel in the folded condition is less than that shown in figure 1. This is advantageous in providing more space and greater comfort for the driver.
In one example, the drive 150 is configured as a motor, but this is merely an example and the drive may also be another type of drive. Furthermore, in an embodiment according to the invention, the drive means may directly drive the second end of the connecting rod. And, in another embodiment according to the present invention, the steering wheel 10 further includes a transmission mechanism 160 disposed between the second end 1402 of the link 140 and the driving device 150, and the transmission mechanism 160 transmits power to the second end 1402 of the link 140 when driven by the driving device 150 to linearly displace the second end 1402. Fig. 2 schematically shows a transmission mechanism of a steering wheel according to a first embodiment of the present invention. Fig. 3 schematically shows a transmission mechanism of a steering wheel according to a second embodiment of the present invention. Fig. 4 schematically shows a transmission mechanism of a steering wheel according to a third embodiment of the present invention. A transmission mechanism according to an embodiment of the present invention is described below with reference to fig. 2 to 4.
First embodiment
The transmission mechanism 160 includes a moving member and a rotating member, which are drivingly connected to each other, the moving member being configured to generate a linear displacement, and the rotating member being configured to generate a rotational displacement.
As shown in fig. 2, the moving member includes a screw 1603, the rotating member includes a worm gear 1602 provided on the screw 1603 and a worm 1601 engaged with the worm gear 1602, and the worm 1601 is drivingly connected with the driving device 150. The worm 1601 is drivingly connected with the driving device 150 to transmit the driving force of the driving device 150 to the screw 1603, and specifically, under the driving action of the driving device 150, the worm 1601 rotates around its rotation axis while causing the worm wheel 1602 engaged therewith to rotate around its rotation axis. Since the worm gear 1602 is arranged to be only rotatable and not movable, when the worm gear 1602 rotates, the screw 1603 will move relative to the worm gear 1602 by the screw drive connection between the worm gear 1602 and the screw 1603. Thus, rotation of worm gear 1602 causes linear displacement of screw 1603.
And, the second end 1402 of the link 140 is connected with the screw 1603 to move together with the screw 1603. It should be noted that the second end 1402 of the connecting rod 140 may be connected to the screw 1603 in a state capable of rotating relative to the screw 1603. Therefore, when the driving force is transmitted from the driving device 150 to the worm 1603 via the worm 1601 and the worm wheel 1602 in sequence, the worm 1603 is linearly displaced so that the second end 1402 of the link 140 is also linearly displaced, thereby pivoting the steering wheel rim 110 relative to the steering wheel bracket 120 about the second rotation axis.
Second embodiment
The transmission mechanism 160 includes a moving member and a rotating member in transmission connection with each other, the moving member being configured to generate a linear displacement, and the rotating member being configured to generate a rotational displacement.
As shown in fig. 3, the moving member includes a rack 1605, and the rotating member includes a first gear 1604 engaged with the rack 1605. The first gear 1604 is drivingly connected with the driving device 150 to transmit the driving force of the driving device 150 to the rack 1605, and specifically, under the driving action of the driving device 150, the first gear 1604 rotates about its own rotation axis while causing linear displacement of the rack 1605 engaged therewith.
And, the second end 1402 of the link 140 is connected with the rack 1605 to move together with the rack 1605. It should be noted that the second end 1402 of the link 140 may be connected to the rack 1605 in a rotatable manner relative to the rack 1605. Therefore, when the driving force is transmitted from the driving device 150 to the rack 1605 via the first gear 1604, the rack 1605 is linearly displaced such that the second end 1402 of the link 140 is also linearly displaced, thereby pivoting the steering wheel rim 110 about the second rotation axis with respect to the steering wheel bracket 120.
Third embodiment
The transmission mechanism 160 includes a moving member and a rotating member in transmission connection with each other, the moving member being configured to generate a linear displacement, and the rotating member being configured to generate a rotational displacement.
As shown in fig. 4, the moving member includes a screw 1603, the rotating member includes a first bevel gear 1608 provided on the screw 1603 and a second bevel gear 1607 engaged with the first bevel gear 1608, and the second bevel gear 1607 is drivingly connected with the driving device 150. The second bevel gear 1607 is drivingly connected to the driving device 150 to transmit the driving force of the driving device 150 to the screw 1603, and specifically, under the driving action of the driving device 150, the second bevel gear 1607 rotates about its own rotation axis while causing the first bevel gear 1608 engaged therewith to rotate about its own rotation axis. Since the first bevel gear 1608 is provided to be rotatable only and not movable, when the first bevel gear 1608 is rotated, the screw 1603 will be moved relative to the first bevel gear 1608 by the screw drive connection between the first bevel gear 1608 and the screw 1603. Thus, rotation of the first bevel gear 1608 causes linear displacement of the screw 1603.
And, the second end 1402 of the link 140 is connected with the screw 1603 to move together with the screw 1603. It should be noted that the second end 1402 of the connecting rod 140 may be connected to the screw 1603 in a state capable of rotating relative to the screw 1603. Therefore, when the driving force is transmitted from the driving device 150 to the worm 1603 via the second bevel gear 1607 and the first bevel gear 1608 in sequence, the worm 1603 is linearly displaced so that the second end 1402 of the link 140 is also linearly displaced, thereby pivoting the steering wheel rim 110 about the second rotation axis with respect to the steering wheel bracket 120. According to an embodiment of the invention, the first rotation member is provided as a first bevel gear, the rotation member comprises a second bevel gear meshing with the first bevel gear, and the second bevel gear is drivingly connected with the drive means.
Therefore, in the steering wheel of the present invention, a pivot shaft and a link are provided, and a second end of the link is linearly displaced when driven, so that the steering wheel rim is received while being pivoted about a second rotation axis of the pivot shaft with respect to the steering wheel bracket. Therefore, the steering wheel of the present invention can be housed in a simple manner.
Returning to fig. 1, according to an embodiment of the present invention, a fixing frame 170 provided on the steering wheel holder 120 is further included, and the fixing frame 170 is used to mount the moving member (the screw 1603 or the rack 1605) movably relative to each other. It will be appreciated that this is merely an example and that the steering wheel of the present invention is not limited thereto, for example, the moving member may be mounted to other forms of mounting member.
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the steering wheel carrier comprises a receiving space for receiving the transmission mechanism and the drive. It will be appreciated that this is merely an example and that the steering wheel of the present invention is not limited thereto, e.g. the transmission may also be arranged outside the steering wheel frame.
As described above, although the exemplary embodiments of the present invention have been described in the description with reference to the drawings, the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments, and the scope of the present invention should be defined by the claims and their equivalents.
