Description

Hinge for fixing a wing to a frame and device with hollow profile and hinge
Technical Field
The invention relates to a hinge for pivotally fixing a wing to a frame about a hinge axis, comprising a hinge element, which comprises: the hinge blade has a hinge part and a fixing part which is introduced into the housing, wherein the fixing part can be displaced in the housing by means of an adjusting device in an adjustment direction perpendicular to the hinge axis and can be fixed in a desired adjustment position by means of the fixing device.
Background
Such hinges for wooden, tongue-and-groove building closure doors are known from DE 10 2010 012 144 B3. In order to fix the hinge leaf in the desired adjustment position, such a hinge comprises a clamping plate and a tensioning plate arranged in the mounting element, between which clamping plate and tensioning plate a fixing of the hinge leaf can be clamped. The adjusting device comprises an adjusting eccentric arranged between the tensioning plate and the clamping plate, which adjusting eccentric is rotatably mounted on the tensioning plate and cooperates with the contour of the assigned recess in the fixing of the hinge leaf.
A disadvantage of such a hinge is that it has a great space requirement in the thickness direction of the frame or the wing, since the tensioning plate and the clamping plate arranged in the housing of the mounting element are perpendicular to the adjustment direction. Furthermore, the housing must be accessible in a direction perpendicular to the adjustment direction in order to be able to handle the adjustment device and the fastening device. For this purpose, it is generally necessary to provide additional recesses in the frame or the wing, for example in the surface of the frame or the wing which extends parallel to the adjustment direction. These notches often result in weakening the wing or frame and negatively impacting its visual appearance.
Disclosure of Invention
The object of the present invention is therefore to develop the hinge described at the outset in such a way that the mounting element of the hinge has a particularly small thickness and that the hinge leaf can be displaced in the adjustment direction without additional recesses in the profile.
To this end the invention proposes a hinge for fixing a wing to a frame in a pivotable manner about a hinge axis,
having a hinge part comprising a mounting element having a housing and a hinge leaf having a hinge part and a fastening part introduced into the housing,
wherein the fastening element can be displaced in the housing in an adjustment direction perpendicular to the hinge axis by means of an adjustment device and can be fastened in a desired adjustment position by means of a fastening device,
it is characterized in that the method comprises the steps of,
the hinge has a guide device for guiding the hinge part in the adjustment direction, which comprises a first guide element formed on the inner surface of the housing and a second guide element formed on the fixing part in operative connection with the first guide element.
The invention also relates to a device with a hollow profile and with the hinge, characterized in that the hollow profile comprises a cover profile region, which has a narrow side perpendicular to the visible side of the profile and an opening into which the housing is introduced.
In order to guide the hinge part in the adjustment direction, the hinge according to the invention has a guide device, which comprises a first guide element formed on the inner surface of the housing and a second guide element operatively connected to the first guide element, which is formed on the fastening part of the hinge leaf. Since the fastening of the hinge leaf is guided directly on the inside of the housing in the hinge according to the invention as a result of this measure, no additional components such as tensioning plates and clamping plates are required for the guiding, so that the housing can have a significantly smaller thickness than in the prior art, and the hinge according to the invention is therefore suitable for use on particularly thin frame profiles or wing profiles. The hinge according to the invention can be used in particular on hollow profiles with cover profile regions, in which only a receiving space with a small extension in the thickness direction is provided, due to the small thickness of the housing of the mounting element. The mounting elements of the hinge element can in this case be inserted through openings in the narrow side of the cover profile region perpendicular to the visible side of the profile. Since the sealing means are usually arranged deeper in the tongue-and-groove region of the frame profile or the wing profile and not on this narrow side of the cover plate region, it is generally not necessary to interrupt the sealing means for the installation of the hinge element when using the hinge according to the invention. This facilitates the mountability of the hinge element on the one hand and prevents the sealing effect of the sealing element used from deteriorating due to the hinge element on the other hand.
In a preferred embodiment of the hinge according to the invention, one of the first and second guide elements comprises a groove extending in the adjustment direction and the other of the first and second guide elements comprises a slider in engagement with the groove. Due to this construction of the first and second guide elements, a reliable guidance of the fixing of the hinge leaf in the housing of the mounting element is ensured, with simplified manufacture and reduced components required for achieving the guidance.
In a likewise preferred embodiment of the hinge according to the invention, the adjustment means comprise a threaded element which extends in the adjustment direction. If the adjustment direction extends perpendicularly to the visible side of the profile, the screw element can be actuated from the narrow side of the profile by this measure, so that the notch in the profile wall extending perpendicularly to the narrow side can be eliminated.
In a first preferred embodiment, the threaded element can be mounted in the hinge leaf in a fixed position in the adjustment direction and can be in threaded engagement with an internal thread provided on the housing. The threaded element moves with the hinge leaf when the hinge leaf is displaced in the adjustment direction. There is then necessarily free space in the housing for the threaded element that allows this movement. In a second preferred embodiment, the threaded element is mounted in the housing in a fixed position in the adjustment direction and is in threaded engagement with an internal thread provided on the hinge leaf. A free space for displacing the threaded element in the adjustment direction within the housing is then not necessary, so that the size of the housing can be minimized.
In both of the above-described embodiments, the threaded element preferably has a head with a top surface and a bottom surface for the purpose of being supported in a fixed position in the adjustment direction, said head engaging in a receptacle having a support surface for the top surface and for the bottom surface. The receptacle can be open, for example, in a direction perpendicular to the adjustment direction, so that the mounting of the adjustment element can be achieved in a simple manner by a displacement perpendicular to the longitudinal extension of the adjustment element.
In a further particularly preferred embodiment of the hinge according to the invention, the threaded element has a first threaded region and a second threaded region. The first threaded region and the second threaded region are oppositely configured. The first threaded region is configured, for example, as a right thread and the second threaded region as a left thread. The housing then comprises a first internal thread matching the first threaded region and the hinge leaf comprises a second internal thread matching the second threaded region. In the assembled state of the hinge element, the first threaded region is in engagement with the first internal thread and the second threaded region is in engagement with the second internal thread. The rotational actuation of the threaded element causes a further displacement of the two threaded regions into or out of the respective associated internal thread, depending on the direction of rotation, thereby causing a displacement of the hinge leaf relative to the mounting element in the adjustment direction. An advantage of this embodiment of the hinge according to the invention is that the threaded element does not have a radially protruding head, and thus the space requirement of the threaded element is reduced. Furthermore, such a hinge part can be assembled particularly simply, since by a rotational actuation in the respective rotational direction the screw is screwed into both the internal thread of the housing and the internal thread of the hinge leaf and thus the hinge leaf and the housing are not connected to one another in a separate manner.
An unthreaded region is preferably provided between the first threaded region and the second threaded region. On the one hand, the manufacturability of the screw is thereby simplified, and on the other hand, if the two threaded regions of the screw are not screwed completely symmetrically into the two associated internal threads, a reduction in the adjustment travel that can be achieved is avoided.
The fastening means preferably comprise tensioning means by means of which two mutually opposite walls of the housing can be moved towards each other under elastic deformation of the housing, so that the fastening element can be clamped between said walls. Due to this measure, no additional components such as tensioning plates and clamping plates are required within the housing, which is also beneficial for minimizing the extension dimension of the housing in the tensioning direction (also referred to as thickness direction).
The tensioning device may have at least one tensioning screw with a head and a threaded shaft which can be screwed into a thread in one of the two walls of the housing through an opening in the other wall.
The at least one tensioning screw may be dimensioned such that the bottom surface of the head bears directly against the wall with the opening. It is also possible and preferred, however, to provide a tensioning plate which can be tensioned from the outside by means of the at least one tensioning screw directly or indirectly against the one of the two walls having the opening.
The invention also proposes a device with a hollow profile and the aforementioned hinge according to the invention, in which the hollow profile comprises a cover profile region with a narrow side perpendicular to the visible side of the profile and which has an opening into which the housing is introduced. Due to the particularly small extension of the housing in the thickness direction, the narrow side of the cover region can likewise have a particularly small extension in this direction. The device according to the invention can thus have a particularly fine visual appearance without the installation site of the housing having to be displaced further towards the inside of the profile groove for this purpose, which may result in the sealing device having to be interrupted.
In principle, it is possible to provide only the profile walls forming the narrow sides with a threaded connection for the installation of the housing in the region of the cover profile. For this purpose, it is possible, for example, to provide a projection which protrudes from the housing in the direction of the hinge axis and is formed on the housing, with a bore through which a screw is screwed into the profile wall forming the narrow side and, if appropriate, into a further profile wall present inside the hollow profile.
It is particularly preferred, however, that the cover profile region comprises a profile wall extending parallel to the visible side of the profile, which profile wall has an inner side and an outer side, and against which inner side the housing rests, at least one recess for the at least one tensioning screw being provided in this profile wall, and the tensioning plate being pressed against the outer side from the outside for tensioning. In this embodiment of the device according to the invention, the aforementioned profile wall is thereby provided between the tensioning plate and the wall of the housing facing this tensioning plate. The tensioning plate thus in this preferred embodiment only indirectly rests against the wall of the housing facing the tensioning plate. As a result of the generally small deformability of the profile wall, the tensioning force acting on the fastening element is not significantly reduced, but at the same time the fastening of the housing in the profile is significantly improved, since the forces now introduced into the hollow profile via the hinge are also introduced into the profile wall extending parallel to the visible side of the profile.

Detailed Description
The embodiment of the hinge element of the hinge according to the invention (hereinafter simply referred to as hinge element 100, 200) shown in the figures comprises a mounting element 1, 101, respectively, which is provided for insertion into a recess of a profile of the frame R or of the wing F.
The mounting element 1, 101 comprises a housing 2, 102, which has two webs 3, 103 on one side, which are each provided with a borehole 4, 104 for a respective fastening screw 5, 105.
In addition, the hinge parts 100, 200 each comprise a hinge leaf 6, 106, the hinge leaves 6, 106 having a hinge part 7, 107 and a fastening part 8, 108, the fastening part 8, 108 being introduced into the housing 2, 102 via the slot 9, 109. The hinge 7, 107 serves to accommodate a hinge pin 10, 110, the hinge pin 10, 110 defining a hinge axis S about which a wing F fixed to the frame R by means of a hinge according to the invention can pivot. The stud 42, 142 screwed into the threaded hole 41, 141 of the hinge 7, 107 serves to prevent displacement of the hinge pin 10, 110 in the direction of the hinge axis S, and the end of the stud 42, 142, which is forward in the screwing direction, radially presses the hinge pin 10, 110 in the screwed state.
In order to be able to adjust the wing F relative to the frame R in an adjustment direction X extending perpendicular to the hinge axis S, the fixing element 8, 108 can be displaced in the adjustment direction X within the housing 2, 102 by means of the adjustment device 11, 111 and can be fixed in a desired adjustment position by means of the fixing device 12, 112. For this purpose, the hinge element 100, 200 comprises a threaded element 13, 113 extending in the adjustment direction X.
In the hinge member 100, the screw member 13 has a screw rod 15 and a head 14 with a top surface and a bottom surface. In the housing 2, a receptacle 16 for the head 14 is provided, which has bearing surfaces for the top and bottom surfaces of the head and the threaded element 13 is thus fixed in the adjustment direction X. The threaded element 13 is thus supported in the housing in a fixed position in the adjustment direction X. The threaded element 13 is screwed with its screw 15 into an internal thread 17 provided on the mount 8 of the hinge leaf 6. By rotating the actuating screw element, the hinge leaf 6 can thereby be displaced relative to the housing 2 in the adjustment direction X. For the rotary actuation, the fastening element 8 has a borehole 18 on its side which leads out on the housing 2, which borehole extends to the internal thread 17 and through which a rotary tool can be attached to the threaded element 13. For this purpose, the end of the threaded element 13 facing the bore 18 is provided with a wrench surface, which may be configured, for example, as an internal hexagon.
In the hinge part 200, the threaded element 113 has two threaded regions 113a, 113b, which are separated from one another by an unthreaded region 113 c. The threaded regions 113a and 113b have opposite external threads. The threaded region 113a is configured as a left thread, for example, and the threaded region 113b is configured as a right thread. A receptacle 116 with a first internal thread 115a is provided in the housing 102, which matches the external thread of the threaded region 113 a. A second internal thread 115b is provided in the mount 108, which matches the external thread of the threaded region 113 b. The second internal thread 115b extends from the outer surface of the hinge leaf 106 into a recess 117 extending in the adjustment direction X. The recess is dimensioned such that the receptacle 116 can protrude into the recess 117. In the installed state of the hinge member 200, the first threaded region 113a is engaged with the first internal thread 115a and the second threaded region 113b is engaged with the second internal thread 115 b. Due to the inverted embodiment of the first and second threaded regions 113a and 113b and the matching first and second internal threads 115a and 115b therein, the rotational actuation of the threaded element 113 results in a displacement of the hinge leaf 106 relative to the housing 102 in the adjustment direction X. For the rotary actuation, the end of at least one front face of the threaded element 113 is provided with a spanner face 114 to which a rotary tool, not shown in the figures, can be attached by means of a borehole provided in the hinge blade 106. The spanner surface 114 may be configured, for example, as a hexagon socket or a hexagon socket.
In order to prevent the securing element 8, 108 from tilting in the housing 2, 102 and to prevent the hinge pin 10, 110 from tilting relative to the hinge axis S, guide means are provided for guiding the hinge element in the adjustment direction, which guide means comprise a first guide means 19, 119 formed on the inner surface of the housing 2, 102 and a second guide element 20, 120 formed on the securing element 8, 108 in operative connection with the first guide element 19, 119. In the hinge part 100, the first guide element 19 is configured as a groove 21 extending in the adjustment direction X and the second guide element 20 is configured as a slider 22 formed on the mount 8. In the hinge part 200, the first guide element 119 is configured as a slider 122, which engages in the second guide element 120 configured as a groove 121.
In the embodiment shown in the figures, the screw 15 and the internal thread 17 have a pitch which ensures an anti-rotation self-locking of the threaded element. When the threaded element 13, 113 is not actuated in rotation, the adjusting device 11, 111 thus immediately acts as a securing device 12, 112 which secures the hinge leaf 6, 106 in the desired adjustment position relative to the housing 2, 102.
In order to reliably prevent undesired displacement of the hinge leaves 6, 106 relative to the housing 2, 102 in the adjustment direction X, for example also when the hinge is subjected to dynamic loads, for example due to vibrations, the fastening device 12, 112 additionally comprises a tensioning device 23, 123, by means of which the two walls 24, 25, 124, 125 of the housing 2, 102, which are opposite one another, can be moved toward one another with the housing being elastically deformed, so that the fastening element 8, 108 can be clamped between the walls 24, 25, 124, 125. The tensioning device 23, 123 comprises a tensioning screw 26, 126 with a head 27, 127 and a threaded rod 28, 128. The shaft 28, 128 of the tensioning screw 26, 126 is introduced into the housing 2, 102 through the bore 29, 129 of the wall 24, 124 and screwed into the internal thread 30, 130 provided on the wall 25, 125. In this case, the tensioning screw 26, 126 penetrates the fastening element 8, 108 in the slot-shaped recess 31, 131 extending in the adjustment direction X, so that the tensioning screw 26. 126 do not hinder the displacement of the hinge leaves 6, 106 relative to the housing 2, 102 in the adjustment direction X in the released state.
In the hinge parts 100, 200 shown in the figures, two such tensioning screws 26, 126 are provided, respectively, which are arranged at a distance from one another in the direction of the hinge axis S. In the hinge element 100, a tensioning plate 32 is provided between its heads 27, 127 and the wall 25, which tensioning plate on the one hand can promote a greater area of the tensioning force exerted by the tensioning screw 26 on the wall 25. The tensioning plate on the other hand also serves to fix the hinge element 100 to the cavity profile, as will be explained below.
In fig. 3a hollow profile 33 is shown ready for the installation of the hinge element 100. The hollow profile has a cover profile region 34 with a profile visible side 35 and a narrow side 36. As can be seen in fig. 5, the cover profile region 34 of the hollow profile 33 protrudes partially beyond the profile of the frame R in the closed state of the wing F.
For mounting the hinge element 100 on the hollow profile 33, an opening 37 is formed in the narrow side 36 of the cover profile region 34, the size of which opening matches the size of the housing 2. For screwing in the fixing screw 5, a predrilled hole 38 is machined in the hollow profile 33 flush with the borehole 4, which predrilled hole facilitates screwing in the fixing screw 5 of self-forming or self-tapping construction.
Before the tensioning screw 26 and the tensioning plate 32 are mounted, the hinge element 100 is mounted on the hollow profile 33. In order to be able to mount the tensioning screw 26 and the tensioning plate 32 immediately after the mounting of the hinge element 100 on the hollow profile 33, a recess 40 is provided in the profile wall 39, which recess is flush with the bore 29 of the wall 25, on the profile wall 39 extending parallel to the visible side 35 of the profile, against which the housing 2 rests. The tensioning plate 32 is clamped from the outside against the profile wall 39 by means of the tensioning screw 26. As can be seen in particular from fig. 6 to 8, the tensioning plate now no longer ensures the fixing of the hinge leaf 6 only in the adjustment direction X, but in particular also facilitates the further fixing of the hinge element 100 to the hollow profile 33, since the forces caused by the hinge element 100 in the hollow profile 33 are now additionally introduced via the profile wall 39.
It goes without saying that the tensioning screw 26 must be loosened during the adjustment of the hinge leaf 6, since otherwise the fastening element 8 cannot be displaced in the adjustment direction X by being clamped between the walls 24, 25 of the housing 2.
Furthermore, it is self-evident that such a tensioning plate is also provided in the hinge part 200 and that the hinge part 200 can be mounted in a corresponding manner on a correspondingly prepared hollow profile.
