The scheme provided by the embodiment of the application can be applied to various communication systems. For example, the applicable system may be a global system for mobile communication (GSM) system, a Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) system, a Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA) General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) system, a Long Term Evolution (LTE) system, an LTE Frequency Division Duplex (FDD) system, an LTE Time Division Duplex (TDD) system, an LTE-a (long term evolution advanced) system, a Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS), a Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) system, a 3rd generation partnership project (3 GPP) related cellular system, a 5th generation (5G) mobile communication system, and a communication system for subsequent evolution. Among them, 5G may also be referred to as a New Radio (NR) system.
The user equipment 110 according to the embodiment of the present application may be a device providing voice and/or data connectivity to a user, a handheld device with a wireless connection function, or other processing devices connected to a wireless modem, and a terminal in a future 5G system or a terminal device in a Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN) for future evolution, and the like. In different systems, names of user equipments may be different, for example, in a 5G system, the user equipment is a terminal equipment, and may also be a wireless terminal equipment that can communicate with one or more Core Networks (CN) via a Radio Access Network (RAN), and the wireless terminal equipment may be a mobile terminal equipment, such as a mobile phone (or referred to as a "cellular" phone) and a computer having the mobile terminal equipment, for example, a portable, pocket, hand-held, computer-embedded or vehicle-mounted mobile device, which exchanges languages and/or data with the Radio Access Network. For example, a Personal Communication Service (PCS) phone, a cordless phone, a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) phone, a Wireless Local Loop (WLL) station, a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA), etc., which are not limited in the embodiments of the present application. The wireless terminal device may also be referred to as a system, a subscriber unit (subscriber unit), a subscriber station (subscriber station), a mobile station (mobile), a remote station (remote station), an access point (access point), a remote terminal device (remote terminal), an access terminal device (access terminal), a user terminal device (user terminal), a user agent (user agent), and a user device (user device), which are not limited in this embodiment of the present application.

The network device may be configured to exchange received air frames with Internet Protocol (IP) packets as a router between the wireless terminal device and the rest of the access network, which may include an Internet Protocol (IP) communication network. The network device may also coordinate attribute management for the air interface. For example, the network device according to the embodiment of the present application may be a Base Transceiver Station (BTS) in a Global System for Mobile communications (GSM) or a Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA), may be a network device (NodeB) in a Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA), may be an evolved Node B (eNB or e-NodeB) in a Long Term Evolution (LTE) System, may be a 5G Base Station (gbb) in a 5G network architecture (next evolution System), may be a Home evolved Node B (HeNB), a relay Node (relay Node), a Home Base Station (femto), a pico Base Station (pico Base Station), and the like, which are not limited in the embodiments of the present application. In some network architectures, a network device may include a Centralized Unit (CU) node and a Distributed Unit (DU) node, which may also be geographically separated.
For the positioning of the user equipment, the network device of the serving cell where the user equipment is located sends configuration information of the positioning reference signal (i.e. uplink positioning reference signal configuration) to the user equipment, the user equipment sends a corresponding positioning reference signal according to the configuration, the network device measures the positioning reference signal sent by the user equipment, and the positioning management functional network element 140 performs positioning calculation on the user equipment according to the measurement result of the network device. It will be appreciated that the name of the location management function network element may be different for different communication systems, such as for a 5G system, the network is specifically an LMF network element.
In the current positioning technology, when a serving cell of a user equipment 110 is handed over from a first cell to a second cell, there may be a problem that an LMF network element does not know that a UE is handed over to the second cell, and thus there may be discontinuity of a positioning service.
Optionally, the present application provides a positioning method, which may be performed by a User Equipment (UE), and the method may include:
and responding to the switching of the serving cell of the UE from the first cell to the second cell, and sending the reference signal according to the uplink positioning reference signal configuration information.
Optionally, the first cell refers to a serving cell before serving cell handover of the UE occurs, and the second cell refers to a serving cell after serving cell handover of the UE occurs, where a base station corresponding to the first cell and a base station corresponding to the second cell may be different base stations. The uplink positioning reference signal configuration information, that is, the configuration information used by the UE to send the positioning reference signal, may include, but is not limited to, resource information and the like required when the UE sends the reference signal, where the resource information may refer to a time domain resource, or a frequency domain resource and a time domain resource.
In an optional embodiment of the present application, the uplink positioning reference signal configuration information may include uplink sounding reference signal configuration information. Optionally, the Reference Signal may include an UL SRS (Uplink Sounding Reference Signal), an UL positioning SRS (Uplink positioning Sounding Reference Signal), a positioning SRS (positioning Sounding Reference Signal), and the like, and the embodiment of the present application is not limited thereto.
Optionally, the uplink positioning reference signal configuration information may be uplink positioning reference signal configuration information (may be abbreviated as configuration 1) sent by a network device of a first cell (first network device) to the UE before cell handover occurs, or may be uplink positioning reference signal configuration information (may be abbreviated as configuration 2) sent by a network device of a second cell (second network device) to the UE after cell handover occurs, where configuration 2 and configuration 1 may be the same or different. For example, when the uplink positioning reference signal configuration information is configuration 2, the configuration 2 may be the same as configuration 1, for example, when a cell handover occurs (before the handover, or after the handover), the first network device may send configuration 1 to the second network device, and the second network device may determine configuration 2 according to configuration 1, of course, configuration 2 may also be determined based on other information (which will be described later).
In this embodiment of the present application, a serving cell of a UE is switched from a first cell to a second cell, where the first network device may send information indicating that the UE is performing a positioning service to the second network device, and correspondingly, the second network device may send uplink positioning reference signal configuration information to a positioning management function network element, so that the positioning management function network element knows the serving cell to which the UE is switched when the serving cell is switched, and after the UE is switched to the second cell, the UE may continue to send a reference signal according to uplink positioning reference signal configuration, and at this time, after knowing the serving cell to which the UE is switched, the positioning management function network element may obtain a measurement result of the reference signal from a corresponding network device according to the uplink positioning reference signal configuration information, thereby ensuring continuity of the positioning service of the UE.
For convenience of description, in the following description of embodiments, an uplink positioning reference signal configuration sent by a first network device to a UE may be simply referred to as configuration 1, and an uplink positioning reference signal sent by a second network device to the UE may be simply referred to as configuration 2.
In an optional embodiment of the present application, the sending a reference signal according to uplink positioning reference signal configuration information includes:
and sending a reference signal according to first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information sent to the UE by the network equipment of the first cell.
The network device may refer to a base station of a cell, or may be a reception point (i.e., TRP), which is not limited in this application. Optionally, the uplink positioning reference signal configuration information according to which the UE sends the positioning reference signal may still use the uplink positioning reference signal configuration information (i.e., the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information, configuration 1) sent by the network device of the cell (i.e., the first cell) before the serving cell of the UE is switched, that is, even if the serving cell of the UE is switched, the UE may still send the reference signal using the original uplink positioning reference signal configuration information. Correspondingly, the location management function network element may obtain the measurement result of the reference signal from the network device of the second cell according to configuration 1.
In an optional embodiment of the present application, the sending a reference signal according to uplink positioning reference signal configuration information includes:
receiving second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information sent by network equipment of a second cell;
and sending the reference signal according to the second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information.
Optionally, after the serving cell of the UE sends the handover, the network device of the handed over serving cell (i.e., the second cell) may send the second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information (i.e., configuration 2) to the UE, and after the UE receives the configuration 2), the UE may send the reference signal according to the received configuration 2.
The configuration 2 may be uplink positioning reference signal configuration information regenerated by the network device of the second cell, or configuration information determined by the second network device according to the configuration 1, and the configuration 1 may be the same.
In an alternative embodiment of the present application, the method further comprises:
receiving second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information sent by network equipment of a second cell;
sending a reference signal according to uplink positioning reference signal configuration information, comprising:
and sending the reference signal according to the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information and/or the second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information sent to the UE by the network equipment of the first cell.
Optionally, the UE may receive configuration 2 sent by the network device of the second cell, and the UE still knows configuration 1 (i.e. knows the uplink positioning reference signal configuration information before the serving cell is switched), at this time, the UE may select any one of configuration 1 and configuration 2 to send the reference signal according to a protocol agreement between the network device and the UE. The UE specifically selects which uplink positioning reference signal configuration information to send the reference signal, and may be configured in advance according to actual requirements, which is not limited in the embodiment of the present application. For example, when configuration 1 is inactive, the UE may transmit the reference signal according to configuration 2, and when configuration 1 is active, the reference signal may be transmitted according to configuration 1.
In an optional embodiment of the present application, the method may further include:
acquiring activation indication information of uplink positioning reference signal configuration information;
sending a reference signal according to uplink positioning reference signal configuration information, comprising:
and based on the activation indication information, sending the reference signal according to the uplink positioning reference signal configuration information.
The activation indication information of the uplink positioning reference signal configuration information is used for indicating activation of the uplink positioning reference signal configuration information. Optionally, when the activation state of the uplink positioning reference signal configuration information is inactive, the network device of the second cell may send activation indication information for activating the uplink positioning reference signal configuration information to the UE, and the UE sends the uplink positioning reference signal according to the uplink positioning reference signal configuration information when receiving the activation indication information. It can be understood that the uplink positioning reference signal configuration information may be first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information sent by the network device of the first cell to the UE, or may also be second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information sent by the network device of the second cell. The second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information may be determined by the network device of the second cell based on the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information and/or the positioning information request message (received by the network device of the first cell from the positioning management function network element) received from the network device of the first cell, and may be the same as or different from the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information.
The reference signals may be different types of reference signals, such as periodic uplink reference signals (e.g., periodic SRS), aperiodic uplink reference signals (e.g., aperiodic SRS), or semi-persistent uplink reference signals (e.g., semi-persistent SRS). For the periodic reference signal, the network device does not need to send activation indication information of uplink positioning reference signal configuration information to the UE, and for the aperiodic uplink reference signal or the semi-persistent uplink reference signal, the network device needs to activate the uplink positioning reference signal configuration information separately, at this time, the network device needs to send an activation indication message to the UE, and when the indication information indicates activation, the UE sends the reference signal according to the uplink positioning reference signal configuration information.
The present application also provides a positioning method, which may be performed by a first network device, where the network device refers to a network device of a serving cell of a UE before a serving cell handover occurs, that is, the network device of the first cell in the foregoing, and the method may include:
and sending a first message to the second network equipment, wherein the first message comprises information used for indicating that the UE is carrying out the positioning service.
Optionally, the first network device may send the first message to the second network device to notify the second network device that the UE is performing the positioning service, and the timing for the first network device to send the first message to the second network device may be after the serving cell of the UE is switched or before the serving cell of the UE is switched.
In an alternative embodiment of the present application, sending the first message to the second network device includes:
sending a first message to network equipment corresponding to a service cell to which the UE is switched after the cell switching occurs; alternatively, the first and second electrodes may be,
and sending a first message to at least one network device corresponding to at least one candidate handover cell of the UE.
The first network device may send the first message to the second network device at different timings, and when the timings at which the first network device sends the first message to the second network device are different, the network devices corresponding to the second network device are also different. Optionally, when the timing for sending the first message is after the serving cell of the UE is switched, the first network device may send the first message to the network device corresponding to the serving cell to which the UE is switched after the cell is switched, and when the timing for sending the first message is before the serving cell of the UE is switched, the first network device may send the first message to at least one network device corresponding to at least one candidate switching cell of the UE before the cell is switched.
The second network device is a network device corresponding to at least one candidate serving cell of the UE.
In an optional embodiment of the present application, the first message further comprises at least one of the following information:
uplink positioning reference signal configuration information;
activation state indication information of uplink positioning reference signal configuration information;
a location information request message.
Optionally, the first message sent by the first network device to the second network device may include, in addition to the information used for indicating that the UE is performing the positioning service, one or more of uplink positioning reference signal configuration information, activation state indication information of the uplink positioning reference signal configuration information, and a positioning information request message; accordingly, when the second network device receives the first message, the new uplink positioning reference signal configuration information (i.e., the second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information) may be determined according to at least one of the received uplink positioning reference signal configuration information, the activation state indication information of the uplink positioning reference signal configuration information, and the positioning information request message. The Positioning information request message (i.e., a Positioning information request message defined by NRPPa (NR Positioning Protocol a)) is sent to the first network device for the Positioning management function network element, and then forwarded to the Positioning information request message of the second network device by the first network device.
For example, when the activation state indicated by the activation state indication information of the uplink positioning reference signal configuration information is activation, at this time, the uplink positioning reference signal configuration information (i.e., configuration 1) in the first message may be directly used as new uplink positioning reference signal configuration information (i.e., configuration 2), and of course, the new uplink positioning reference signal configuration information may also be re-determined according to the uplink positioning reference signal configuration information and/or the positioning information request message, or it is determined according to a protocol convention whether to specifically generate new uplink positioning reference signal configuration information, or it is determined that configuration 1 is used as configuration 2, which is not limited in the embodiment of the present application.
Optionally, after receiving the first message sent by the first network device, the second network device may know information that the UE is performing the positioning service, and may send, to the positioning management function network element, a second message for indicating that the serving cell of the UE is the indication information of the cell corresponding to the second network device, so that the positioning management function network element knows U E the serving cell switched to, and then obtain the measurement result of the reference signal sent by the UE according to the uplink positioning reference signal configuration information sent by the second network device.
In this embodiment of the present application, when a serving cell of a UE is switched from a first cell to a second cell, a first network device may send, to the second network device, information for indicating that the UE is performing a positioning service, and correspondingly, the second network device may send, to a positioning management function network element, indication information so that the positioning management function network element knows the serving cell to which the UE is switched when the serving cell is switched, and then the positioning management function network element obtains a measurement result of a positioning reference signal from a network device corresponding to the switched serving cell, thereby ensuring continuity of the UE positioning service.
As shown in fig. 2, the present application also provides a positioning method, which may be performed by a second network device, where the second network device refers to a network device of a serving cell to which a UE is handed over when a serving cell handover occurs, and the method may include:
step S201, receiving a first message sent by a first network device, wherein the first message includes information for indicating that a UE is performing a positioning service; and/or the presence of a gas in the gas,
step S202, sending a second message to the location management function network element, where the second message includes indication information for indicating that the serving cell of the UE is a cell corresponding to the second network device.
Optionally, when the UE performs a serving cell handover, for example, a handover from a first cell to a second cell, the network device of the first cell (i.e., the first network device) may send a first message to the network device of the second cell (i.e., the second network device) to inform that the second network device is performing a location service. When the serving cell of the UE is handed over from the first cell to the second cell, the location management function network element does not know that the current serving cell of the UE is the second cell, and therefore, after receiving the first message, the second network device may further send corresponding indication information to the location management function network element, so as to ensure the continuity of the UE location service, so that the location management function network element knows that the serving cell of the UE is handed over from the first cell to the second cell, and thus, the measurement result of the location reference signal sent by the UE may be obtained from the network device of the second cell, thereby ensuring the continuity of the UE location service.
In an optional embodiment of the present application, the first message may further include at least one of the following information:
first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information;
activation state indication information of first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information;
a positioning information request message;
wherein the second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information is determined based on at least one of the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information, the activation state indication information of the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information, and the positioning information request message.
Optionally, the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information refers to uplink positioning reference signal configuration information sent by the first network device to the UE (that is, uplink positioning reference signal configuration information used by the UE to send a reference signal before the serving cell is switched, that is, configuration 1), and the activation state indication information of the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information is used to indicate whether the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information is in an activation state; and the positioning information request message refers to a positioning information request message sent by a positioning management function network element to the first network device before the UE performs serving cell handover, and when the first message includes the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information, the activation state indication information of the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information, and the positioning information request message, the second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information may be determined according to at least one of the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information, the activation state indication information of the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information, and the positioning information request message. For example, when the activation status indication information of configuration 1 indicates activation, configuration 1 may be used as configuration 2, and of course, configuration 2 may also be redetermined according to configuration 1 and the positioning information request message, or it may be determined according to a network device and a UE protocol whether to specifically generate new configuration 2, or directly use configuration 1 as configuration 2, or determine configuration 2 according to the positioning information request and configuration 1, and the like, which is not limited in this embodiment of the application.
In an alternative embodiment of the present application, the method further comprises:
and sending the second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information to the UE.
Optionally, after the second network device generates the second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information (i.e., configuration 2), the configuration 2 may be sent to the UE, so that the UE sends the reference signal according to the configuration 2. Configuration 2 and configuration 1 may be the same or different, for example, when the uplink positioning reference signal configuration information is configuration 2, configuration 2 may be the same as configuration 1, for example, when cell handover occurs (before handover or after handover), the first network device may send configuration 1 to the second network device, the second network device may determine configuration 2 according to configuration 1, of course, configuration 2 may also be determined based on other information, and the like.
In an optional embodiment of the present application, the first message includes first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information and activation state indication information of the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information;
sending second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information to the UE, wherein the second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information comprises:
and in response to the activation state indicated by the activation state indication information of the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information being inactive, sending second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information to the UE.
Optionally, when the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information and the activation state indication information of the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information are included in the first message received by the second network device, if the activation state indicated by the activation state indication information of the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information is inactive, the second network device may generate the second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information and send the second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information to the UE, so that the UE sends the positioning reference information based on the second uplink positioning reference signal.
In an alternative embodiment of the present application, the method further comprises:
and receiving the reference signal sent by the UE according to the second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information.
Correspondingly, after the second network device sends the second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information to the UE, the UE may send the positioning reference signal according to the second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information, and at this time, the second network device receives the positioning reference signal sent by the UE according to the second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information.
In an optional embodiment of the present application, the indication message or the second message further includes second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information.
Optionally, the second network device may directly send the second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information as an indication message to the positioning management function network element, because the second uplink positioning reference signal configuration is the uplink positioning reference signal configuration sent by the second network device to the UE; accordingly, when the location management function network element receives the second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information as the indication information, it may know that the serving cell of the UE is a cell corresponding to the second network device, and may obtain, to the corresponding network device, a measurement result of the positioning reference signal sent by the UE based on the second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information.
Optionally, the second network device may further send, to the location management function network element, second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information (that is, configuration 2) separately sent by the second network device to the UE, while sending, to the location management function network element, indication information for informing that the serving cell of the UE is a cell corresponding to the second network device, so that the location management function network element may obtain, based on the second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information, a measurement result of the positioning reference signal sent by the UE.
In an optional embodiment of the present application, the second message further includes activation status indication information of the second uplink reference signal configuration information.
Optionally, when the indication information or the second message includes the second uplink reference signal configuration information, the activation state indication information for describing the activation state of the second uplink reference signal configuration information may be included in the second message and sent to the location management function network element; correspondingly, when the location management function network element receives the activation state indication information, the current activation state of the second uplink reference signal configuration information can be known.
In an optional embodiment of the present application, the activation state indication information of the second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information is determined according to the activation state indication information of the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information included in the first message.
Optionally, when the activation state indication information of the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information is included in the first message, the activation state of the second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information may be determined according to the activation state indication information of the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information included in the first message. If the activation state indication information of the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information indicates activation, it may be determined that the second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information is in an activated state, and otherwise, it may be determined that the second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information is in an inactivated state. Certainly, in practical application, the activation state of the second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information may also be agreed according to a protocol of the network device and the UE, which is not limited in this embodiment of the present application.
In an alternative embodiment of the present application, the method further comprises:
and sending activation indication information of the second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information to the UE.
The second network device may send activation indication information for activating the second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information to the UE, and the UE may send the reference signal according to the second uplink reference signal configuration information when receiving the activation indication information.
Optionally, the second network device sends, to the UE, activation indication information for activating the second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information. For example, the positioning reference signal is sent when the UE needs to send the positioning reference signal, or the positioning management function network element needs to obtain the measurement result of the reference signal sent by the UE.
In an optional embodiment of the present application, the sending, to the UE, activation indication information of the second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information may include any one of:
responding to activation state indication information indication activation of first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information contained in a first message, and sending activation indication information of second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information to UE;
and in response to the activation indication information of the second uplink positioning reference signal received from the positioning management function network element, sending activation indication information of the second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information to the UE.
Optionally, the second network device may send the activation indication information to the UE at any one of the following manners. Specifically, one way is: the first network device sends activation status indication information of the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information to the second network device, and if the indication information indicates that the activation status of the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information is active, the second network device may send activation indication information of the second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information to the UE, so that the UE sends the positioning reference signal according to the second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information, that is, the timing when the second network device sends the activation indication information to the UE may be when the activation status of the second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information is active.
Another optional way is that the second network device receives activation indication information of the second positioning reference signal configuration information from the positioning management function network element, and at this time, the second network device may send the activation indication information of the second positioning reference signal configuration information to the UE. Specifically, optionally, when the positioning management function network element receives activation state indication information of the second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information from the second network device, if the activation state indicated by the activation state indication information of the second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information is inactive, and the positioning management function network element needs to obtain a measurement result of the positioning reference signal of the UE from the network device of the second cell based on the second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information, the activation indication information of the second uplink reference signal configuration information may be sent to the second network device, and when the second network device receives the activation indication information, the corresponding activation indication information may be sent to the UE. Optionally, when the activation state indicated by the activation state indication information of the second uplink reference signal configuration information is activation, the positioning management function network element may obtain the measurement result of the reference signal sent by the UE based on the second uplink positioning reference signal configuration information, and at this time, it is not necessary to send the activation indication information for activating the second uplink reference signal configuration information to the second network device.
In an optional embodiment of the present application, the first message includes a first uplink positioning reference signal configuration, and the method further includes:
and receiving a reference signal sent by the UE according to the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information.
Optionally, when the first message received by the second network device includes the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information, at this time, the second network device may not generate new uplink positioning reference signal configuration (that is, configuration 2) any more, and may directly receive the reference signal based on the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information, at this time, the second network device may not send the uplink positioning reference signal configuration information to the UE any more, and the UE may continue to send the reference signal based on the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information originally sent by the first network device.
In an optional embodiment of the present application, the first message includes activation status indication information of the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information, and the method further includes:
and in response to that the activation state indicated by the activation state indication information of the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information is not activated, sending the activation indication information of the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information to the UE.
When the activation state indicated by the activation state indication information of the first uplink reference signal configuration information is inactive and the second network device wants to receive the positioning reference signal sent by the UE based on the first uplink reference signal configuration information, the second network device may send the activation indication information for activating the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information to the UE, and when receiving the activation indication information, the UE may activate the first uplink reference signal configuration information and continue to send the reference signal according to the first uplink reference signal configuration information.
In an optional embodiment of the present application, sending activation indication information of first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information to a UE includes:
and in response to receiving the activation indication information of the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information sent by the positioning management function network element, sending the activation indication information of the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information to the UE.
As an optional manner, when the second network device receives the activation indication information of the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information sent by the location management function network element, the timing when the second network device sends the activation indication information for activating the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information to the UE may be. Optionally, in this embodiment of the application, in a scheme that the UE sends the positioning reference signal based on the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information, if an activation state indicated by activation state indication information of the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information acquired by the positioning management function network element is inactive, the positioning management function network element may send activation indication information for activating the first uplink reference signal configuration information to the second network device, and the second network device may send corresponding activation indication information to the UE when receiving the activation indication information, so that the UE sends the positioning reference signal according to the first uplink reference signal configuration information.
In an optional embodiment of the present application, the first message further includes activation state indication information of the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information, and the receiving, according to the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information, a reference signal sent by the UE includes:
and in response to that the activation state indication information of the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information indicates that the activation state of the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information is activated, receiving a reference signal sent by the UE according to the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information.
Optionally, the first message may include first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information and activation state indication information of the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information, and when the activation state indicated by the activation state indication information of the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information included in the first message is activation, it indicates that the UE may continue to send the reference signal based on the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information sent by the original first network device, and at this time, the second network device may not generate the second uplink positioning reference signal configuration any more, and directly receive the reference signal based on the first uplink positioning reference signal configuration information.
In this embodiment of the present application, when the UE switches the serving cell from the first cell to the second cell, the network device of the first cell (i.e., the first network device) may send a first message to the network device of the second cell (i.e., the second network device) to notify that the second network device is performing the positioning service, and after the second network device receives the first message, in order to ensure the continuity of the UE positioning service, the second network device may send corresponding indication information to the positioning management function network element, so that the positioning management function network element knows that the serving cell of the UE is switched from the first cell to the second cell, so that the measurement result of the positioning reference signal sent by the UE may be obtained from the network device of the second cell, and thus the continuity of the UE positioning service is ensured.
The present application also provides a positioning method, which may be executed by a positioning management function network element, and the method may include:
and receiving uplink positioning reference signal configuration information sent by second network equipment, wherein the second network equipment is network equipment corresponding to a serving cell to which the UE is switched due to the serving cell switching, and the uplink positioning reference signal configuration information is used for acquiring a measurement result of a reference signal sent by the UE.
Optionally, when the UE performs serving cell handover, the network device (i.e., the second network device) corresponding to the serving cell to which the UE is handed over may send, to the location management function network element, indication information for indicating that the serving cell of the UE is the cell corresponding to the second network device and uplink location reference signal configuration information, so that the location management function network element knows the serving cell to which the UE has been handed over, and the UE sends the uplink location reference signal configuration information according to the reference signal after performing serving cell handover. Accordingly, the location management functional network element may obtain, based on the uplink positioning reference signal configuration information, a measurement result of a reference signal sent by the UE to the corresponding network device. The uplink positioning reference signal configuration information may be uplink positioning reference signal configuration information (i.e., configuration 1) sent by the first network device to the UE, or may also be uplink positioning reference signal configuration information (i.e., configuration 2) sent by the second network device to the UE, where the configuration 2 may be the same as the configuration 1, or may be determined according to the configuration 1 and the positioning information request message, which is not limited in the embodiment of the present application.
In an optional embodiment of the present application, the method further comprises:
and sending a measurement result acquisition request, wherein the measurement result acquisition request comprises uplink positioning reference signal configuration information.

The second network device and the network device of the neighboring cell may be a base station or an access point (TRP), which is not limited in the embodiments of the present application.
In an alternative embodiment of the present application, the method further comprises:
receiving activation state indication information of uplink positioning reference signal configuration information sent by second network equipment;
and in response to that the activation state indication information of the uplink positioning reference signal configuration information indicates that the activation state of the uplink positioning reference signal configuration information is not activated, sending activation indication information for activating the uplink positioning reference signal configuration information to the second network device.
Optionally, the second network device may further send activation status indication information of the uplink positioning reference signal configuration information to the positioning management function network element, and if the status indicated by the activation status indication information of the uplink positioning reference signal configuration information is inactive, the positioning management function network element may send activation indication information for activating the uplink positioning reference signal configuration information to the second network device, so that the second network device activates the UE to send the reference signal, and further, may obtain a measurement result of the reference signal sent by the UE, and ensure continuity of the UE positioning service.
