本申请实施例提供一种用户面网元的管理方法、装置以及系统，涉及通信技术领域，用以实现会话管理网元正确寻址数据面实例。该方法包括：会话管理网元确定目标数据面实例的信息，所述目标数据面实例的信息包括路由指示，所述路由指示用于确定所述目标数据面实例的地址；所述目标数据面实例与无线回传IAB节点关联；所述会话管理网元通过为所述IAB节点提供服务的移动管理网元或宿主Donor节点向所述IAB节点发送N4会话管理请求消息和第一指示，所述第一指示用于指示所述IAB节点向所述目标数据面实例发送所述N4会话管理请求消息。
