Disclosure of Invention
Problems to be solved by the invention
In such a cap, the outer peripheral surface of the middle leg 11 strongly adheres closely to the inner peripheral surface of the container mouth M at the time of closing, which is important in maintaining the high air tightness of the container. Therefore, conventionally, the close adhesion force of the outer peripheral surface of the middle leg 11 to the inner peripheral surface of the container mouth M has been mainly adjusted by adjusting the amount of outward bulge of the outer peripheral surface of the middle leg 11, but if the amount of bulge is increased, the close adhesion force is increased and the air tightness is improved, but there is a problem that the closing torque is also increased in association with a defect such as a gland defect, and the opening torque is increased in direct association with a decrease in usability.
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and an object thereof is to provide a cap capable of suppressing an increase in the opening torque and the closing torque and improving the air tightness.
Means for solving the problems
In order to achieve the above object, a cover of the present invention includes: a housing having a top wall and a side wall depending from a periphery of the top wall, the side wall being formed with an internal thread for threaded engagement with an external thread of the container finish; and a gasket that is held in the case and seals the container mouth, wherein the gasket has: a top plate covering the container mouth; and a middle leg that is provided in contact with the lower surface of the top plate and is in close contact with the inner peripheral surface of the container mouth, wherein the top plate pressed downward by the top wall is elastically deformed when the lid is closed, and the central portion of the top plate is displaced downward more than the peripheral portion (claim 1).
In the above-described cover, the lower surface of the top wall may be formed as a curved surface that protrudes downward as a whole, and the upper surface of the top plate may be formed as a curved surface that protrudes upward as a whole (claim 2).
In the above-described cap, the gasket may have a bent portion which is bent downward from the peripheral edge of the top plate and is in close contact with the outer peripheral surface of the container mouth, and a biasing portion which projects toward the inside of the case may be provided near the boundary between the top wall and the side wall of the case or a biasing portion which projects toward the outside may be provided on the outer peripheral surface of the gasket (claim 3).
Effects of the invention
In the present application, a cover capable of suppressing an increase in the opening torque and the closing torque and improving the air tightness can be obtained.
That is, in the lid according to the present application, when the lid is closed, the outer peripheral surface of the middle leg is strongly adhered to the inner peripheral surface of the container mouth by the elastic deformation of the middle leg such that the lower end (open end) side thereof is to be expanded in diameter, as the central portion of the top plate of the gasket is displaced downward more than the peripheral edge portion, and the air tightness can be improved. Further, since the amount of outward bulging of the outer peripheral surface of the middle leg is not required to be particularly large as in the prior art, the increase in the closing torque and the opening torque can be suppressed, and the reduction of these can be facilitated.
The cover of the invention of claim 2 can achieve the above-described effect of improving the air tightness and the like.
In the lid having the urging portion, normally, the urging portion urges the bending portion to abut against the upper end outer peripheral side of the container mouth portion during the entrance of the container mouth portion between the middle leg and the bending portion at the time of closing the stopper, but in the lid of the invention of claim 3, the lower end (leading end) side of the bending portion is elastically deformed in a diameter-expanding manner accompanying the elastic deformation of the central portion of the top plate of the gasket that is displaced downward than the peripheral portion at the time of closing the stopper, whereby easy closing can be expected.

Detailed Description
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
As shown in fig. 1 and 3, the lid of the present example is attached to a container mouth M, and includes a case 1 made of, for example, polypropylene resin and molded by injection molding or the like, and a liner 2 made of, for example, polyethylene resin and molded by injection molding or the like. The container having the container opening M is, for example, a PET bottle, and accommodates contents such as carbonated beverages and refreshing beverage water.
As shown in fig. 1 and 3, the housing 1 includes a top wall 3 having a circular shape in plan view and a substantially cylindrical side wall 4 depending from the peripheral edge of the top wall 3, and a female screw 5 screwed with the male screw M1 of the container mouth M is formed in the side wall 4.
The lid of this example is a peel-off lid, an annular band (anti-seize band) 8 is connected to the lower side of the side wall 4 via a plurality of breakable bridges 7, and a locking piece (stopper) 9 that engages with an annular projection (boss) M2 of the container mouth M is provided on the band 8.
On the other hand, the gasket 2 has a top plate 10 having a circular shape in a plan view and covering the container mouth M in a closed state, a substantially cylindrical middle leg 11 concentrically connected to the lower surface of the top plate 10 and closely attached to the inner peripheral surface of the container mouth M, and a bent portion 12 bent downward from the peripheral edge of the top plate 10 and closely attached to the outer peripheral surface of the container mouth M, and the gasket 2 is configured to be capable of sealing the container mouth M (see fig. 3).
In addition, if the gasket 2 is held in the housing 1 for use, specifically, if the uppermost portion of the female screw 5 of the housing 1 is used as a gasket release preventing portion, and the bent portion 12 of the gasket 2 is pressed between the gasket release preventing portion and the top wall 3, the gasket 2 is held in the housing 1 in a state in which relative movement in the direction of the central axis of the housing 1 and around the central axis is possible.
In the cap of this structure, the locking piece 9 of the case 1 passes over the annular projection M2 during the closing operation, and in the closed state in which the closing operation is completed, the locking piece 9 elastically returns to a posture in which it can be locked under the annular projection M2. In the closed state, the middle leg 11 of the gasket 2 is fitted into the opening of the container opening M, and a portion (connecting portion) 13 between the middle leg 11 and the bent portion 12 in the top plate 10 is sandwiched between the upper end of the container opening M and the top wall 3 of the housing 1.
In this example, in order to firmly adhere the bent portion 12 to the outer peripheral surface of the container mouth M in the closed state, an annular urging portion 14 (see fig. 3) protruding toward the inside of the case 1 is provided near the boundary between the top wall 3 and the side wall 4 of the case 1, and in the closed state, the urging portion 14 urges the bent portion 12 downward, and the urging force is reliably and efficiently converted into a force that presses the bent portion 12 against the outer peripheral surface of the container mouth M.
In this example, as shown in fig. 2 (a) and 2 (B), the lower surface of the top wall 3 of the housing 1 is formed into a "curved surface that is convex downward as a whole", and the upper surface of the top plate 10 of the gasket 2 is formed into a "curved surface that is convex upward as a whole", whereby, at the time of closing the plug, the top plate 10 of the gasket 2, the upper surface of which is pressed downward by the lower surface of the top wall 3 of the housing 1, is elastically deformed, and the central portion of the top plate 10 is displaced downward more than the peripheral portion. The "entire downward convex curved surface" and the "entire upward convex curved surface" refer to regions where the "downward convex curved surface" and the "upward convex curved surface" are not formed, respectively, and specific examples of the regions where the "downward convex curved surface" and the "upward convex curved surface" are not formed include the concave portion 15 shown in fig. 2 (B) and fig. 3.
In the lid of this example constructed as described above, at the time of closing the stopper, the middle leg 11 is elastically deformed so as to expand in diameter on the lower end (open end) side thereof as the central portion of the top plate 10 of the gasket 2 is elastically deformed more than the peripheral portion thereof is displaced downward, whereby the outer peripheral surface of the middle leg 11 is strongly brought into close contact with the inner peripheral surface of the container mouth M, and the air tightness can be improved. Further, since the outer peripheral surface of the center leg 11 does not need to be particularly bulged outward as in the prior art, the increase in the closing torque and the opening torque can be suppressed, and the reduction of these can be facilitated.
In addition, in the cap having the urging portion 14 as described above, normally, the urging portion 14 urges the bent portion 12 to abut against the upper end outer peripheral side of the container mouth M during the process of entering the container mouth M between the middle leg 11 and the bent portion 12, and thus the closing may be difficult, but in this example, the lower end (front end) side of the bent portion 12 is elastically deformed in an expanded diameter manner with the elastic deformation of the central portion of the top plate 10 of the gasket 2 being displaced downward than the peripheral portion during the closing, and thus the easy closing can also be expected. Of course, in the closed state, the bending portion 12 is strongly adhered to the outer peripheral surface of the container mouth M by the urging force of the urging portion 14.
The present invention is not limited to the above embodiments, and can be implemented by various modifications without departing from the spirit of the present invention. For example, the following modifications can be given.
In the above-described embodiment, as shown in fig. 2 (a) and 2 (B), the lower surface of the top wall 3 of the housing 1 is formed into a "curved surface that is entirely convex downward", and the upper surface of the top plate 10 of the gasket 2 is formed into a "curved surface that is entirely convex upward", whereby the top plate 10 of the gasket 2 whose upper surface is pressed downward by the lower surface of the top wall 3 of the housing 1 is elastically deformed at the time of closing, and the central portion of the top plate 10 is displaced downward more than the peripheral portion, in other words, the top plate 10 of the gasket 2 whose upper surface is pressed downward by the lower surface of the top wall 3 of the housing 1 is elastically deformed at the time of closing, and the mechanism thereof is not limited to the structure of fig. 2 (a) and 2 (B).
For example, as shown in fig. 2 (B), the upper surface of the top plate 10 of the gasket 2 may be formed as a "curved surface that protrudes upward entirely", while the lower surface of the top wall 3 of the housing 1 may be formed as a flat (planar) surface, or may be formed as a "curved surface that protrudes upward entirely" that is gentler than the upper surface of the top plate 10 of the gasket 2.
Alternatively, as shown in fig. 2 (a), the lower surface of the top wall 3 of the case 1 may be formed as a "curved surface that is convex downward as a whole", while the upper surface of the top plate 10 of the gasket 2 may be formed as a flat (planar) surface, and may be formed as a "curved surface that is convex downward as a whole" that is gentler than the lower surface of the top wall 3 of the case 1.
Alternatively, a protruding portion protruding downward may be provided at the center portion of the lower surface of the top wall 3 of the housing 1, or a protruding portion protruding upward may be provided at the center portion of the upper surface of the top plate 10 of the gasket 2. In these cases, the size (height, lateral width), position, number, and shape of the protruding portions may be appropriately determined within the following ranges: when the stopper is closed, the top plate 10 of the gasket 2, the upper surface of which is pressed downward by the lower surface of the top wall 3 of the housing 1, is elastically deformed, and the central portion of the top plate 10 is displaced downward more than the peripheral portion.
Alternatively, the outer diameter, angle, etc. of the middle leg 11 may be adjusted so that when the middle leg 11 is fitted into the opening of the container mouth M, the central portion of the top plate 10 protrudes upward (outside of the opening) from the peripheral portion, and when the protruding central portion is pressed by the lower surface of the top wall 3 at the time of closing, the central portion of the elastically deformed top plate 10 is displaced downward more than the peripheral portion. In this case, both the lower surface of the top wall 3 and the upper surface of the top plate 10 can be made flat (planar).
In the above embodiment, the urging portion 14 protruding in a wedge shape as seen in longitudinal section toward the inside of the housing 1 is provided near the boundary between the top wall 3 and the side wall 4 in the housing 1, but the present invention is not limited thereto, and the urging portion 14 protruding toward the outside may be provided on the outer peripheral surface of the gasket 2. In this case, the biasing portion 14 is removed from the case 1, and the inner diameter thereof is considered to gradually increase toward the lower side in the vicinity of the boundary between the top wall 3 and the side wall 4.
The above modifications may be appropriately combined with each other.
