Abstract

The application discloses an elevator device and an elevator management system. The elevator device is connected with a server, the server responds to the request of the user to approve a temporary authority to a visitor, and a validity period is set for the temporary authority. The elevator device identifies the identity of the visitor and transmits the identification result to the server for the server to confirm in the valid period. In response to the confirmation success message returned by the server, the elevator apparatus allows the visitor to use a designated elevator function, such as calling a car or going to a specific floor, for the validity period.

Description

Elevator device and elevator management system
Technical Field
The present invention generally relates to elevator devices. Particularly, to an elevator apparatus which allows temporary use by a visitor.
Background
For safety considerations of the residents, it is generally not desirable to have strangers freely available to use the elevator to go to any floor, so the elevator is well suited as a safety control point for buildings. For this reason, the prior art uses magnetic induction cards as identification tools for elevator passengers. A common example is a hotel, where a tenant needs to have a magnetic card issued by a counter when taking an elevator to travel to a desired floor using the elevator.
The above-mentioned way of managing the elevator through the magnetic card has some puzzles when meeting temporary visitor. Because the visitor does not have a magnetic card, the visitor usually needs the manager to assist the manager to confirm the identity of the visitor, and then the manager accompanies the visitor, namely, the manager uses the magnetic card of the manager to confirm the identity of the elevator, so that the visitor can use the elevator. And under the condition that no manager exists, the resident is required to go downstairs specially and accompany the visitor to take the elevator in person.
To deal with this problem, the prior art also proposes solutions, for example, with reference to CN1850568A or CN 101759069B. However, these prior arts have proposed a method of allowing a visitor to enter a building by making a conversation with the visitor through an intercom after the visitor rings a doorbell at an entrance of the building, thereby the resident himself/herself determines whether the visitor is allowed to enter. If the visitor is required to enter, the resident can allow the visitor to use the calling function of the elevator by himself after operating the special button at home.
However, conceivably, the above-mentioned method still depends on the identity confirmation of the visitor by the resident when the visitor visits. However, some visitors, such as delivery personnel, may not have been seen by the resident and may not be able to confirm the identity of the visitor from the conversation or even from the image.
In addition, the above method also requires that the resident stays at home when the visitor visits, otherwise, the identity of the visitor cannot be confirmed through the interphone. However, in reality, even if the resident is not at home, the visitor may be allowed to take the elevator upstairs. For example, when the visitor is a delivery person, it is often difficult to know the time to deliver the goods in advance, and in reality, even if the resident is not at home, the delivery person only needs to take the elevator to go upstairs to place the goods at the door of the resident. Conceivably, in the prior art, if the resident is not at home and cannot talk to the delivery person to confirm the identity, the delivery person cannot use the elevator and can only put the goods at most at the entrance of the building, but the prior art is usually not allowed and risks losing the goods.
There is therefore a need for alternative approaches to solving the above problems.
Disclosure of Invention
One aspect of the present application is to provide an elevator apparatus that allows temporary use by a visitor. In particular, the user can provide a temporary elevator authority to a visitor through remote operation, and the identity of the visitor is confirmed by using an identification module of the elevator device.
Therefore, a user (such as a resident) does not need to be limited by the current position of the user, is not disturbed by the uncertain visiting time of the visitor, can more accurately confirm the identity of the visitor, avoids misjudgment caused by artificial identification, and improves the safety of the resident.
In one embodiment of the present invention, an elevator apparatus is provided, which is connected to a server, the server granting a temporary permission to a visitor in response to a request from a user and setting a validity period for the temporary permission, the elevator apparatus comprising:

a communication module for transmitting the result of the visitor identified by the identification module to the server for the server to confirm and receiving a confirmation success message returned by the server; and
a control module, in response to the confirmation success message, allowing the visitor to use a designated elevator function for the validity period.
According to another embodiment of the present invention, an elevator management system is provided, which includes the above-mentioned elevator apparatus and server.
According to another embodiment of the invention, a method for using an elevator is provided, the method comprising:
the user issues a request to a server for a visitor, the server responds to the user's request, approves a temporary permission to the visitor, and sets a validity period for the temporary permission;
when the visitor visits, an elevator installation identifies the identity of the visitor;
the elevator device transmits the result of identifying the visitor to the server for confirmation by the server, and the server returns a confirmation success message to the elevator device;
the elevator installation responds to the confirmation success message, allowing the visitor to use a designated elevator function for the validity period.

< System architecture >
Fig. 1 is a system architecture diagram illustrating an elevator management system 10 in an embodiment of the present invention to illustrate the basic operation and components of the elevator management system 10, although the following description is given for exemplary purposes and to simplify and omit unnecessary details.
As shown in fig. 1, an elevator management system 10 includes an elevator apparatus 100 and a server 200. It should be noted that although only a single elevator apparatus 100 and a single server 200 are shown in fig. 1, it should be understood that the elevator management system 10 may include a greater number of elevator apparatuses 100 and servers 200.
The server 200 and the elevator apparatus 100 are connected via a network 300. The network 300 may be implemented as any type of connection, including a fixed Local Area Network (LAN) or a Wide Area Network (WAN) connection, and is not limited to various connections such as wired or wireless connections.
In this embodiment, a plurality of client devices 400, 402, 404, and 406 may also be connected to server 200 via network 350, respectively. The network 350 may be the same or different network than the network 300 described above. Client devices 400, 402, 404, and 406 are preferably personal mobile devices, such as mobile phones or tablet computers, and the like, and the invention is not intended to be limited thereto. Client devices 400, 402, 404 and 406 may have installed thereon an application APP that may communicate with server 200 and use elevator management services provided by server 200. More details will be described later.
< Elevator apparatus >
Fig. 2 further shows components of the elevator arrangement 100 operating in conjunction with the elevator management system 10 and omits parts not directly related thereto and belonging to the prior art, such as the elevator car, the machinery room, the ropes, the counterweight and the hoisting machine, etc.
The elevator apparatus 100 includes an identification module 120, a communication module 140, and a control module 160. In general, the identification module 120 may be disposed in an elevator car (not shown) or outside the elevator car, for example, in an elevator hall (not shown). The communication module 140 and the control module 160 may be disposed in a machine room (not shown). It should be understood that the present invention is not intended to be limited to the above-described arrangements.
The identification module 120 is used to obtain information presented or displayed by the visitor to represent the identity of the visitor. The identification module 120 may use various methods for identifying the identity of the visitor, for example, the identification module 120 may include an input device 122, such as a keyboard (not shown), for the visitor to manually input the identifier or a preset password. In another embodiment, the identification module 120 further comprises a Near Field Communication (NFC) transceiver module 124 for inductively accessing or receiving data (e.g., an identifier or a password) carried in a digital storage medium (e.g., a mobile phone or a smart card) carried by the visitor as the identification result.
In another embodiment, the recognition module 120 may include a voice capture module 126, such as a microphone (not shown), for receiving a password or secret spoken by the visitor through voice input, or capturing a voice print of the visitor's voice as the recognition result.
In another embodiment, the identification module 120 may include a fingerprint acquisition module 128 to acquire a fingerprint of the visitor as the identification result.
In another embodiment, the recognition module 120 may include an image capturing module 130, such as a video camera or a camera (not shown), which may capture an image of a specific gesture or facial expression of the visitor in a static or continuous (dynamic) manner and convert the image into digital data having a characteristic value as a recognition result, or capture a bar code (e.g., a QR code) presented by the visitor as a recognition result. It should be understood that the bar code described herein may be printed on a physical print (e.g., a business card or certificate) or may be presented by way of an image on an electronic device display (e.g., a screen of a mobile phone). Optionally, the image capturing module 130 may also capture an image of the face of the visitor to obtain Physiological characteristics (Physiological characteristics) of the face of the visitor as a recognition result.
It should be noted that the identification module 120 can use multiple methods for identifying the identity of the visitor at the same time. For example, the identification module 120 may require a visitor to manually enter a password through the input device 122 and simultaneously fingerprint the visitor through the fingerprint acquisition module 128. In other words, the identification module 120 uses both the password input by the visitor and the fingerprint of the visitor as the identification result, so as to increase the accuracy of the identification.
The communication module 140 is a device for allowing the identification module 120 and the control module 160 to communicate with the outside. The communication module 140 is capable of communicating with the outside, particularly with the server 200, through the network 300 (which may be a wired or wireless line), thereby transmitting information from the elevator apparatus to the outside and with the server 200, and receiving information from the outside and with the server 200. Generally, the communication module 140 can designate a communication object in advance, and may be, for example, a service center of the elevator apparatus 100 or a management room of a building, in addition to the server 200.
The control module 160 includes circuits such as input/output interfaces, processors, and memories as its hardware resources. The control module 160 executes the program stored in the memory by the processor to realize the function of controlling the operation of the elevator apparatus 100. The control module 160 may also have multiple processors. The control module 160 may also have multiple memories. That is, the functions of the control module 160 may be implemented by cooperating processors and memories, and a part or all of the functions may also be implemented by hardware.
In addition, the control module 160 may transmit the identification result of the visitor from the identification module 120 to the server 200 through the communication module 140, so that the server 200 may compare the identification result with the pre-stored identification data for confirmation. If the server 200 determines there is no error, a successful determination message can be sent back to the control module 160 through the communication module 140. The control module 160 may then allow the visitor to use a designated elevator function, such as to call or go to a particular floor, for the expiration period in response to the confirmation success message.
The method of using the elevator of the present application is further described below in conjunction with the system architecture of fig. 1, the elevator installation components shown in fig. 2, and the flow chart of fig. 3.
First, it is preferable that the operation unit of the elevator apparatus 100 simultaneously takes charge of the erection and maintenance of the entire elevator management system 10. In other words, any communication between the outside and the elevator apparatus 100 (including the elevator apparatus 100 and the server 200) is carefully regulated in order to ensure the safety of the operation of the elevator apparatus 100 and to prevent accidents due to malicious network attacks.
In addition, the operator of the elevator management system 10 can provide the application APP for the resident or visitor to download to their own client devices (such as the client devices 400-404 shown in fig. 1, which can be mobile phones or tablet computers, for example), and then the resident or visitor can use the elevator apparatus 100 through the application APP as long as the resident or visitor has the right. For example, a resident with authority can reserve a car call through the APP in the mobile phone, and when the elevator apparatus 100 requires the resident to identify, the resident can input or provide data to the elevator apparatus 100 through the APP, instead of using the magnetic card sensing in the prior art.
The operator of the elevator management system 10 can also use the server 200 to issue information to the user via the application APP, e.g. when a particular elevator arrangement 100 is to be serviced and suspended from use. On the other hand, particularly relevant to the present application, the resident can remotely request a right to temporarily use the elevator apparatus 100 for a visitor in advance through the application APP in response to the visitor arriving at a future visit at an unspecified time. The following steps are described with reference to a specific example.
In this hypothetical scenario, a resident may order a good at the e-commerce platform and know that the good will be delivered on, for example, day 11/month 22, but cannot further know when the good will be delivered on that day.
Step 30: the resident can request the server 200 to grant a temporary right to use the elevator apparatus 100 by the application APP on his mobile phone before 11/month 22 or before the goods on the day of 11/month 22 are not delivered.
In this step, the resident may need to designate the elevator apparatus 100 in the residential building where he is located through the menu on the application APP. If there are a plurality of elevator apparatuses 100 in a residential building, a resident can designate only one of the elevator apparatuses 100. The resident can set an elevator function covered by the temporary authority, such as a simple call to go to any floor in a residential building, or only a specific floor in addition to the call, for example, only the floor where the resident is located and the floor where the entrance of the building is located.
The resident may also set the validity period of the temporal right, such as the full day of day 22 of 11 months or 1 to 6 pm. The setting of the validity period may include a limitation of the number of times of use in addition to the setting of the time interval. For example, when the number of uses is limited to two times (e.g., one up and one down), once the deliverer uses the elevator apparatus 100 twice within the validity period, the temporary authority is immediately disabled, and the deliverer cannot use the elevator apparatus 100 again.
In particular, the resident can also select the manner in which the elevator installation 100 identifies the identity of the delivery person by means of a menu on the application APP. One way is that the resident or server 200 generates a string of ID or password or secret language, and the resident or server 200 can provide the ID to the delivery person through the e-commerce platform in advance in an electronic manner, and then the delivery person can confirm the ID accordingly. Or if the delivery person also has registered and installed the application APP, the server 200 may also directly transmit the identifier to the delivery person's client device (e.g. mobile phone).
In another embodiment, in addition to the resident knowing when the shipment is likely to arrive (e.g., day 11/22), the e-commerce platform provides data about the delivery person and provides the data about the delivery person for access by the server 200 so that the resident need only specify the name of the delivery person in the menu on the application APP and the server 200 can automatically retrieve other data for the delivery person and use it as identification data for subsequent verification.
For example, the data of the shipper may include its physiological characteristic information as well as non-physiological characteristic information. The physiological characteristic information may be, for example, fingerprint characteristics, voice print characteristics, or facial physiological characteristics, etc., that have been digitized. The non-physiological characteristic information may be, for example, information corresponding to a bar code on a carrier's business card or certificate. If the e-commerce platform does not provide the data of the delivery person for the server 200 to access, but only provides the digital photo image of the delivery person to the resident, the resident can also analyze the photo image of the delivery person through the application program APP to obtain the physiological characteristics of the face of the delivery person as the data of the delivery person, and the physiological characteristics are uploaded to the server 200 as the identification data for subsequent verification.
Step 32: when a delivery person arrives at the resident's residence to use the elevator apparatus 100 to go upstairs, the elevator apparatus 100 must recognize the identity of the delivery person to confirm that the delivery person is permitted to go upstairs by the resident.
The elevator apparatus 100 identifies the delivery person in many ways, but the components of the elevator apparatus 100 are collocated and data about the delivery person is known in advance. For example, if the delivery person has previously obtained a series of identifiers or passwords or passphrases from the resident or the server 200 through the e-commerce platform or the APP, he can provide the identifiers or passwords or passphrases to the recognition module 120 directly through, for example, the input device 122 or the Near Field Communication (NFC) transceiver module 124 shown in fig. 2, or the delivery person can speak the identifiers or passwords or passphrases by voice input through the voice capture module 126. Similarly, if the elevator apparatus 100 has the image capturing module 130, digital images of specific gestures or facial expressions of the delivery person can be captured as the recognition result.
If the server 200 can obtain the physiological feature information of the delivery person in advance, correspondingly, the voice collecting module 126 can collect the voiceprint in the voice of the delivery person as the recognition result. Similarly, the fingerprint collection module 128 may collect a fingerprint of the delivery person as a recognition result, and the image collection module 130 may also take a digital image of the face of the delivery person to collect physiological characteristics of the face of the delivery person as a recognition result.
Step 34: the elevator apparatus 100 transmits the result of the visitor identified in step 32 to the server 200, the server 200 compares the result of the visitor identified by the elevator apparatus 100 with the previously set or obtained identification information in step 30, determines whether the results match, and if the results match and are still within the validity period of the temporary authority, the server 200 returns a confirmation success message to the elevator apparatus 100.
Step 36: when the control module 160 of the elevator apparatus 100 receives the confirmation success message returned from the server 200, it may allow the delivery person to temporarily use a designated elevator function, such as calling or going to a specific floor, in response to the contents of the confirmation success message. As previously described, the resident may specify or limit the elevator functions permitted to be used by the delivery person at the time of the previous step 30.
While the invention has been described with reference to various embodiments, it will be understood by those skilled in the art that various changes in form and details may be made therein without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. The scope of the invention is to be determined by the claims appended hereto.
