Abstract
The invention discloses a maleic anhydride grafted modified EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer) edge sealing hot melt adhesive, which comprises the following components in parts by weight: 10-20 parts of EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate) particles, 12-30 parts of maleic anhydride monomers, 15-25 parts of tackifying resin, 35-60 parts of calcium carbonate, 0-0.16 part of antioxidant, 2-5 parts of initiator and 2-5 parts of plasticizer; according to the invention, EVA particles and maleic anhydride monomers are subjected to graft copolymerization in the presence of an initiator and a plasticizer, then tackifying resin, calcium carbonate and an antioxidant are added, and the mixture is uniformly stirred under high-temperature melting to prepare the maleic anhydride modified EVA hot melt adhesive; maleic anhydride is selected as a grafting object, and the maleic anhydride has high reaction activity and strong relative polarity and is easy to be linked to a molecular chain, so the maleic anhydride is a more suitable melt grafting monomer, and particularly has higher adhesive force on polar plates; therefore, the hot melt adhesive prepared by the invention has good hot adhesiveness and good bonding strength for plates with strong polarity and lower surface energy.

Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of hot melt adhesives, and particularly relates to a maleic anhydride grafted modified EVA edge sealing hot melt adhesive and a preparation method thereof.
Background
The solvent-based adhesive is widely applied to woodworkers due to high bonding strength and good flexibility; but the harmful solvent content is high, so that the environment and the human body are greatly damaged, and the use of the harmful solvent is limited by the nation; the hot melt adhesive contains no solvent and is 100 percent of solid, has small influence on the environment, and becomes one of the adhesive types encouraged by the state.
The EVA hot melt adhesive is a polymer which does not need solvent, contains no water and is meltable in 100% solid, is solid at normal temperature, is heated and melted to a certain degree to become a liquid adhesive which can flow and has certain viscosity, and is light brown translucent or natural white after being melted.
The main component of the hot melt adhesive is that basic resin is formed by copolymerizing ethylene and vinyl acetate under high pressure, and then the hot melt adhesive is prepared by matching tackifier, viscosity regulator, antioxidant and the like. The wood door is mainly applied to wood doors, cabinet bodies, paper, air conditioner filter elements and the like. A problem with the widespread use is that the materials to be bonded are also of a wide variety, from ordinary paper, textiles, ceramics, plastics to metals, coated craft paper, and the like.
However, the hot melt adhesive of the traditional EVA system has limited bonding strength to the plate with strong polarity and lower surface energy, when a high-polarity material needs to be bonded, the common EVA hot melt adhesive often cannot reach the required bonding strength, and the polyurethane hot melt adhesive of the higher-polarity system is high in price, which brings inconvenience to people. In order to solve the above problems, a method of modifying EVA to introduce a reactive group having relatively strong activity into a molecular chain is generally used. The maleic anhydride has high reactivity and strong relative polarity, and is easy to be linked to a molecular chain, so the maleic anhydride is a more suitable melt grafting monomer, and particularly has higher adhesive force to polar plates.

and S104, after uniformly stirring, adding calcium carbonate and an antioxidant, continuously stirring for 1.5-2 hours, and after uniformly stirring, discharging to obtain the edge sealing hot melt adhesive.
