Referring to fig. 1 and 2, fig. 1 to 5 show a safety catch 1 according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the safety catch 1 includes a safety catch body 100 and a housing 200, wherein the housing 200 is formed by combining two side half shells 201, and the safety catch body 100 is located in an accommodating space surrounded by the two side half shells 201. The housing 200 has a hanging hole 200a at an upper portion thereof and a through hole 200b at a lower portion thereof.
Referring to fig. 3 and 4, the safety catcher body 100 includes a support 10, a rotating disc 20, a braking device 30 and a dust cover 40. The support 10 has a first arm 12, a second arm 14, a top plate 16 and a connecting rod 18. The upper and lower portions of the first arm 12 and the second arm 14 are respectively and fixedly connected to each other through the top plate 16 and the connecting rod 18, and the first arm 12, the second arm 14, the top plate 16 and the connecting rod 18 surround to form an accommodating space S. In addition, the top plate 16 is provided with a hanging ring 17, and the hanging ring 17 is inserted into the hanging hole 200a and can be hung or tied on a support, which can be but is not limited to a steel beam or a cable.
The rotating disc 20 is located in the accommodating space S, a pivot shaft 19 is disposed through the center of the rotating disc 20, and two ends of the pivot shaft 19 are respectively and fixedly connected to the first arm 12 and the second arm 14, so that the rotating disc 20 is pivoted to the bracket 10 through the pivot shaft 19, and thus can be rotatably located in the accommodating space S relative to the bracket 10. The turntable 20 includes a main body 22 and two normally open ratchet teeth 24, wherein the main body 22 has a containing portion 222 and a setting portion 224.
The receiving portion 222 is divided into a reduced diameter portion 222a recessed along the radial direction of the body 22 and an enlarged diameter portion 222b enlarged along the radial direction of the body 22 in the axial direction. The reduced diameter portion 222a of the accommodating portion 222 is connected to the enlarged diameter portion 222b of the accommodating portion 222 at one side edge in the axial direction, and the reduced diameter portion 222a and the enlarged diameter portion 222b of the accommodating portion 222 are integrally formed in this embodiment, but not limited thereto. The other side edge of the reduced diameter portion 222a of the accommodating portion 222 in the axial direction is detachably coupled to the installation portion 224, but in other practical applications, the accommodating portion 222 and the installation portion 224 may be integrally formed. In this embodiment, a steel cable 50 is wound around the outer periphery of the diameter-reduced portion 222a of the accommodating portion 222, and the steel cable 50 is limited between the diameter-expanded portion 222b of the accommodating portion 222 and the setting portion 224, and the free end thereof is exposed out of the housing 200 through the through hole 200b and can be pulled to drive the rotating disc 20 to rotate. The receiving portion 222 is not limited to being wound by the cable 50, but may be other flexible strip bodies, such as a cable or a safety belt.
The two normally open ratchet teeth 24 of the rotary disk 20 are pivotally disposed on the outer wall 224a of the setting portion 224 and respectively located on two opposite side portions of the outer wall 224 a. Each normally open ratchet 24 has a first abutting portion 242, each first abutting portion 242 is located at a tip end portion of each normally open ratchet 24, and a return spring 25 is connected to each normally open ratchet 24 at an end portion opposite to the first abutting portion 242. One end of each return spring 25 is connected to the normally open ratchet 24, and the other end is fixed to the outer wall 224a of the setting portion 224, and in this embodiment, is sleeved on a stud locked to the outer wall 224a to be fixed to the outer wall 224 a. The return spring 25 is used to maintain each normally open ratchet 24 at a first position P1, in other words, the normally open ratchet 24 can be maintained in the normally open state without contacting the braking device 30 without any external force. Referring to fig. 5 and 6, when the normally open ratchet 24 receives an external force above a predetermined value, the normally open ratchet 24 can pivot against the restoring force given by the restoring spring 25, so that the first abutting portion 242 can move from the first position P1 to a second position P2. The first position P1 is a greater distance from the center of the pivot axis 19 than the second position P2.
The braking device 30 is sleeved on the pivot shaft 19 and located between the first arm 12 and the setting portion 224. The brake 30 includes a ratchet plate 32, a center shaft plate 34 and a cover plate 36. The ratchet disc 32 has a plurality of ratchet teeth 322 on the periphery thereof, the tip of each ratchet tooth 322 forms a second abutting portion 322a, the distance between each second abutting portion 322a and the center of the pivot shaft 19 is fixed and is greater than the distance between the first abutting portion 242 and the center of the pivot shaft 19 when the first abutting portion 242 is located at the second position P2, that is, each second abutting portion 322a is located on the rotation path formed by the rotation of the rotary disc 20 when the first abutting portion 242 is located at the second position P2. The cover plate 36 has a through hole 36 a. The central shaft disc 34 has a convex portion 342, and the convex portion 342 is formed by extending outward from the disc surface of the central shaft disc 34 along the central axis thereof, and is inserted into the through hole 36a and fixed on the first support arm 12. A portion of the central hub 34 is located between the ratchet disc 32 and the cover disc 36, and the cover disc 36 is fixed on the ratchet disc 32, such that the two side disc surfaces of the central hub 34 are respectively in friction contact with the ratchet disc 32 and the cover disc 36, forming a friction speed reducer, such that the ratchet disc 32 and the cover disc 36 can rotate in friction relative to the fixed central hub 34.
The dust cover 40 includes a main cover 42 and two auxiliary covers 44, wherein a hole 42a is formed in the center of the main cover 42, and the two auxiliary covers 44 are connected to the periphery of the main cover 42 and located at two opposite side ends. The dust cap 40 is fixedly disposed on the outer wall 224a of the setting portion 224 and located between the setting portion 224 and the first arm 12, and the protrusion 342 penetrates through the hole 42a and is fixedly connected to the first arm 12. The dust-proof cover 40 and the setting portion 224 form a closed space a, the braking device 30 is located in the main cover 42, and the two normally open ratchets 24 are located in the two auxiliary covers 44, respectively. It should be noted that the outline shape of the hole 42a of the dust-proof cover 40 corresponds to the external outline shape of the protrusion 342, so as to prevent the gap formed between the hole 42a and the protrusion 342 from being too large and dust from entering the enclosed space a through the gap; alternatively, the tight fit between the hole 42a and the protrusion 342 is prevented from adversely affecting the rotation of the dust cap 40 relative to the protrusion 342.
Thus, with continued reference to figures 5 to 7, in use of the invention, the eye 17 on the bracket 10 is secured to the support and the exposed free end of the cable 50 is tied to the body of the aerial worker. When the worker normally works, the wire 50 is slowly pulled out of the housing 200, and the normally open ratchet 24 maintains the first abutting portion 242 at the first position P1 by the restoring force of the restoring spring 25. If the operator should fall from high altitude accidentally, the cable 50 will be pulled out of the housing 200 rapidly, and drives the rotating disc 20 to rotate at a predetermined speed, so that the gravity center O of each normally open ratchet 24 is thrown outwards by the centrifugal force generated by the rotation of the rotating disc 20, and the centrifugal force is greater than the restoring force of the restoring spring 25, and the first abutting portion 242 of each normally open ratchet 24 is pivotally swung from the first position P1 to the second position P2, whereby, the first contact portion 242 on the rotating turntable 20 can contact the second contact portion 322a of the brake device 30, the friction between the ratchet plate 32 and the cover plate 36 driven by the first abutting portion 242 and the central shaft plate 34 fixed on the first arm 12 causes the rotation speed of the rotary plate 20 to gradually slow down, thereby stopping the rotation of the rotary plate 20. In this embodiment, the variation of the length of the left arrow in fig. 6 and 7 represents the decrease of the rotation speed of the turntable 20. When the centrifugal force generated by the rotation of the dial 20 on the normally open ratchet 24 is smaller than the return force of the return spring 25, the first abutting portion 242 pivots from the second position P2 back to the first position P1. However, in other practical applications, the rotation of the turntable 20 may be stopped immediately when the first abutting portion 242 abuts against the second abutting portion 322 a.
In this embodiment, the number of the normally open ratchets 24 is two, but not limited to this, and the purpose of stopping the rotation of the rotary plate can be achieved by using one normally open ratchet in cooperation with the braking device, and even more than three normally open ratchets. For example, in another embodiment, the number of the normally open ratchet teeth is three, the distances between the normally open ratchet teeth and the pivot shaft are the same, and the distances between any two adjacent normally open ratchet teeth are all equal, so that the bonding strength between the normally open ratchet teeth and the ratchet wheel disc can be enhanced. In addition, the number of the auxiliary cover bodies of the dust-proof cover in the embodiment is also increased to three, and each auxiliary cover body covers one normally-open ratchet, so that the dust-proof purpose is achieved. Therefore, the normally open ratchet is positively correlated with the number of the auxiliary cover bodies, and the design of matching the main cover body with the auxiliary cover body instead of the integral dustproof cover aims to save the material cost for producing the dustproof cover.
In conclusion, the design that the dustproof cover covers the braking device and the normally open ratchets avoids external dust from influencing the anti-falling mechanism of the anti-falling device, and the use safety of a product is maintained.
The above description is only a preferred embodiment of the present invention, and all equivalent changes and modifications to the present invention as described and claimed should be included in the scope of the present invention.
