本申请实施例提供一种指示解压缩对象的方法及装置、通信设备，该方法包括：第一设备向第二设备发送数据包，所述数据包携带指示信息，所述指示信息用指示以下至少之一：丢弃的包头、不丢弃的包头、进行解压缩的包头、不进行解压缩的包头、内容为空的包头、内容不为空的包头、有有效信息的包头、没有有效信息的包头、所述数据包的包类型信息。
