and controlling the air conditioner to operate in a sterilization mode and killing harmful substances, and controlling the opening and closing direction of the air deflector (102) to face the air return direction when the air conditioner operates in the sterilization mode so as to blow the air outlet flow of the air conditioner to the air return direction.

The purifying and sterilizing method for the air conditioner according to claim 1, wherein when the air conditioner operates in the sterilizing mode, the air conditioner operates in the heating mode, and the circulating hot air generated in the heating mode is used for killing harmful substances collected on the return air filter screen (101) and/or harmful substances inside the unit, and simultaneously, the circulating hot air generated in the heating mode is used for drying accumulated water in the water pan.
3. The purification and sterilization method for an air conditioner according to claim 1, wherein harmful substances in the air are driven to the return air filter (101) by:
controlling the opening and closing direction of the air deflector (102) to be far away from the direction of the air return inlet (103) so that the air outlet flow of the air conditioner blows to the direction far away from the air conditioner;
the gear of a fan (104) of the air conditioner is controlled, harmful substances in the air are driven to the return air filter screen (101) under the combined action of the air outlet flow and the return air flow, and the return air filter screen (101) is utilized to collect the harmful substances in the air.
4. The purification and sterilization method for an air conditioner according to claim 1, wherein harmful substances in the air are driven to the return air filter (101) by:
in the operation process of the air conditioner, harmful substances in the air are driven to the return air filter screen (101) through the air circulation effect, and the return air filter screen (101) is used for collecting the harmful substances in the air.
