The invention also discloses a preparation method of the environment-friendly stainless steel cleaning agent. The stainless steel cleaning agent is an aqueous cleaning agent, is prepared by compounding starch-based raw materials and a surfactant, is safe and environment-friendly, has stable performance, is high in cleaning speed of oil stains on the surface of stainless steel, and has an excellent oil stain cleaning effect.
