By the mode, the playing requirement of the user for switching the video playing can be effectively met, and the switching video playing experience which is the same as that of the independently used browser can be played in the user experience.
In one possible implementation manner, playing video data of a video to be switched in a video playing window already displayed at a video playing area may include: detecting whether a selected video playing window exists in the displayed video playing windows in the video playing area; and under the condition that the selected video playing window exists in the displayed video playing windows, playing the video data of the video to be switched in the selected video playing window. By the method, the video data of the video to be switched can be effectively played under the condition that a user selects any video playing window.
As described above, the video switching request is used to instruct the video player to play the video to be switched in the video playing window; and the video source address of the video to be switched is used for acquiring the video data of the video to be switched from the video source. The video player can obtain the video data of the video to be switched from a video source according to the video source address of the video to be switched, and switches the video data to play the video to be switched in a video playing window.
In a possible implementation manner, the video switching request may further include identification information of a web page window, so that the video player determines the web page window that triggers the switching operation, and thus plays the video data of the video to be switched in the video playing window at the video playing area of the web page window.
As described above, the video playing windows displayed at the video playing area may include at least one, and the user may select any one of the displayed video playing windows to play the video data of the video to be switched, for example, the user may click any one of the displayed video playing windows through a cursor, and it should be understood that the video playing window clicked by the user is also the selected video playing window.
It should be understood that the browser may send at least one video switching request, each video switching request may include at least one video source address, accordingly, the video data of the video to be switched may include at least one, and the video playing window selected by the user may also include at least one.
In a possible implementation manner, playing the video data of the video to be switched in a video playing window already displayed at a video playing area further includes: and under the condition that the selected video playing window does not exist in the displayed video playing windows, determining a video playing window for playing the video to be switched from the displayed video playing windows according to a preset playing sequence, and playing the video data of the video to be switched. By the method, the video data of the video to be switched can be effectively played under the condition that a user does not select any video playing window.
The preset playing sequence may be understood as a preset window selection sequence for playing the video to be switched, for example, assuming that 4 video playing windows are already displayed in the video playing area in the manner shown in fig. 2, according to the sequence from top to bottom and from left to right, video data of one video to be switched may be sequentially played in the video playing window a1, video data of another video to be switched may be played in the video playing window a2, and so on.
In a possible implementation manner, in a case that there is no selected video playing window in the displayed video playing windows, any one of the video playing windows that are displayed in the video playing area may also be randomly selected as a video playing window for playing a video to be switched, which is not limited in the embodiment of the present disclosure.
As described above, the user can configure the number of windows of the video playback window displayed at the video playback area in advance. In one possible implementation, the method further includes:

and adjusting the window display area of the video playing window displayed in the video playing area according to the configured number of the windows so as to display the video playing window corresponding to the configured number of the windows in the video playing area.
In one possible implementation, the video player may provide a default at least one window number to the user, so that the user may select any one of the window numbers as the user-configured window number; of course, the number of configured windows may also be determined by manually inputting the number of windows, which is not limited in this embodiment of the disclosure.
Fig. 4 is a schematic diagram illustrating a window number configuration control according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, and as shown in fig. 4, a user may click an icon corresponding to any window number shown in the configuration control to implement the configured window number. As shown in fig. 4, a hidden button (i.e., an arrow in fig. 4) may also be provided in the configuration control, which may facilitate the user to hide the configuration control. By the method, the user can conveniently configure the number of the windows.
In consideration of the fact that there may be a situation that a video playing window is already displayed in the video playing area and the number of windows is reconfigured by the user in an actual situation, for example, the current number of windows is 1, that is, 1 video playing window is displayed in the current video playing area and the number of windows reconfigured by the user is 4; or the number of the current windows is 6, the number of the windows reconfigured by the user is 2, and the like, under these circumstances, the window display area of the video playing window displayed at the video playing area, that is, the window position and the window size of the video playing window, can be adjusted according to the number of the configured windows and the area information of the current video playing area, so that the video playing window corresponding to the number of the configured windows can be displayed at the video playing area.
Adjusting the window display area of the video playing window displayed in the video playing area according to the configured number of windows and the current area information may include: determining target window display areas of the video playing windows with the number being the configured number of windows, namely determining the positions of the target windows and the sizes of the target windows, according to the configured number of the windows and the area information of the current video playing area; and adjusting the window display area of the displayed video playing window to the target window display area, namely adjusting the window position and the window size of the displayed video playing window to the target window position and the target window size.
In a possible implementation manner, if the number of windows configured by the user is smaller than the number of video playing windows already displayed in the video playing area, video playing windows corresponding to the configured number of windows may be selected and reserved from the currently displayed video playing windows, and the window position and the window size of the reserved video playing windows may be adjusted.
In a possible implementation manner, the selection of the reserved video playing window may be automatic random selection or automatic sequential selection of the video playing windows to be reserved, or of course, the user may manually select the video playing window to be reserved, which is not limited to the embodiment of the present disclosure. For example, 6 video playing windows are currently displayed, the number of the windows reconfigured by the user is 4, 4 video playing windows can be selected and reserved from the 6 video playing windows, and the window positions and the window sizes of the 4 video playing windows are adjusted.
