Description

Air purifier with virus sterilization function
Technical Field
The present invention relates to an air purifier having a virus sterilization function, which can improve the sterilization effect of viruses by repeating an air purification operation and a sterilization operation. Wherein the air purification operation is to collect viruses contained in the air introduced into the interior of the cleaner case for a long time and discharge the purified air, and the sterilization operation is to sterilize the collected germs by repeatedly circulating a sterilizing liquid supplied in a small amount for a short time in the interior of the air cleaner case.
Background
Generally, an air cleaner is a device for purifying contaminated air and converting the contaminated air into fresh air, and serves to remove a bad smell of life or a bad smell of cigarette by collecting or filtering fine dusts or bacteria by sucking the contaminated air with a blower.
In recent years, not only general air purifiers for purifying only air but also air-conditioning type air purifiers in which an air purifying function is added to an air conditioner whose main purpose is to control the indoor temperature have been marketed.
However, the conventional air cleaners lack a function of sterilizing viruses (e.g., SARS, MERS, and new coronavirus) floating in the air.
Therefore, it is required to develop a device capable of sterilizing viruses contained in air while purifying the air.
Background art of the present invention is disclosed in Korea patent office publication No. 10-2006-0035911, 27/4/2006.

Wherein the air purification operation is to accumulate viruses contained in the air introduced into the interior of the purifier case for a long time and to discharge the purified air, and the sterilization operation is to kill the accumulated germs by repeatedly circulating a sterilization liquid (povidone-iodine aqueous solution) supplied inside the air purifier case.
Thus, since viruses are accumulated in real time by using the HEPA filter, there is an advantage that purified clean air can be discharged.
In addition, since the aqueous solution of povidone-iodine is sprayed every 3 hours for three minutes at a time, viruses accumulated for a long time can be killed by a small amount of the aqueous solution of povidone-iodine provided in a short time, and thus the aqueous solution of povidone-iodine can be saved.
In addition, by using the HEPA filter or the ULPA filter, it is easy to filter not only viruses but also an aqueous solution of povidone-iodine for sterilizing the viruses to minimize discharge to the outside.

Detailed Description
Hereinafter, an air purifier having a virus sterilizing function according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Referring to fig. 1 to 6, the air cleaner having a virus sterilization function of the present invention includes: a purifier case 100, a lower partition 200, a lower air door 300, a middle partition 400, a sterilizing liquid supply part 500, a blower 600, a sterilizing part 700, an upper partition 800, a circulation air door 900, a cut-off partition 1000, an upper air door 1100, and a control unit 1200.
In the cleaner case 100, an air inlet 101 for introducing air is formed at a lower portion, an air outlet 102 for discharging the introduced air is formed at an upper portion, and an inner space through which the air passes is formed to communicate from the air inlet 101 to the air outlet 102.
In addition, a pre-filter 110 for filtering foreign substances such as dust may be installed at the air inlet 101 of the cleaner case 100. In addition, a plurality of direction control plates for adjusting the direction of the discharged air may be provided at the air discharge outlet 102 of the cleaner case 100.
The lower partition 200 is formed to be spaced apart from above the air inlet 101 of the scrubber housing 100 and to cross the inner space.
The lower damper 300 is formed to penetrate the lower barrier 200, and is controlled by the control unit 1200 to introduce or block air, thereby performing an opening and closing operation.
The middle barrier 400 is formed to be spaced upward from the lower barrier 200 and to cross the inner space of the scrubber case 100, and is formed at one side with a middle circulation hole 410 through which air circulates.
The sterilizing liquid supplying part 500 supplies the sterilizing liquid for killing virus between the lower partition 200 and the middle partition 400, the sterilizing liquid supplying part 500 comprising: a sterilization container 510 filled with a sterilization liquid therein; a sterilizing liquid raising unit 520 for raising the sterilizing liquid in a state where the sterilizing liquid raising unit is disposed so as to penetrate the sterilizing container 510; and a sterilizing liquid spraying part 530 for spraying the sterilizing liquid raised by the sterilizing liquid raising part 520.
The sterilization container 510 is positioned below the lower partition 200, the sterilizing liquid rising part 520 penetrates the lower partition 200, and the sterilizing liquid spraying part 530 is positioned above the lower partition 200.
The sterilizing liquid rising part 520 may be formed as a pipe body having a lower end penetrating the sterilizing container 510 and an upper end connected to the sterilizing liquid spraying part 530, and a porous body such as sponge absorbing the sterilizing liquid in a state of being inserted into the pipe body and supplied to the sterilizing liquid spraying part 530.
The sterilizing liquid spraying part 530 may be configured as an atomizer for spraying the sterilizing liquid, controlled by the control unit 1200.
Here, the sterilizing solution includes an aqueous solution of povidone-iodine. For example, such a disinfectant solution can be used by mixing 1ml of povidone-iodine aqueous solution with 50 to 100ml of water.
Therefore, when the sterilizing liquid spraying part 530 is operated, the sterilizing liquid is sprayed in a mist form and supplied to the space formed between the lower partition plate 200 and the middle partition plate 400.
The blower 600 is positioned between the lower partition plate 200 and the intermediate partition plate 400 and is fixed to the intermediate partition plate 400 so as to communicate with the intermediate partition plate 400, and the blower 600 is controlled by the control unit 1200 to transfer the air floating the sterilizing liquid sprayed from the sterilizing liquid supply part 500 from below to above the intermediate partition plate 400.
The sterilization part 700 is disposed above the intermediate partition 400, and sterilizes viruses included in the air using a sterilization liquid transferred together with the air by the blower 600, and the sterilization part 700 may be formed of any one of an H14 HEPA filter, a U15 ULPA filter, and a U16 ULPA filter.
When air passes through the filter, not only viruses but also sterilizing liquid is soaked and filtered. Therefore, viruses can be killed by the sterilizing liquid soaked in the filter in a state where the viruses are filtered by the filter. Thus, only air purified by virus sterilization can be discharged through the air outlet 102 and provided to the user. Of course, since the sterilizing liquid is also filtered by the filter, the sterilizing liquid is not supplied to the user.
In addition, the sterilization part 700 may include a deodorizing filter, a carbon nano-filter, an ozone removing filter, and the like.
The sterilizing part 700 is positioned between the middle barrier 400 and the upper barrier 800 without contacting the middle barrier 400 or the upper barrier 800. That is, when the space where the air passes through the upper and lower sides of the sterilizing part 700 is formed, the air may uniformly contact and pass through the sterilizing part 700.
In addition, although the sterilizing liquid is applied to the sterilizing part 700 and filtered, the amount of the sterilizing liquid passing through the sterilizing part 700 is a little small.
The upper partition plate 800 is formed to be spaced upward from the sterilization part 700, to cross the inner space of the cleaner case 100, and to have an upper circulation hole 810 through which air circulates at one side.
The circulation damper 900 is formed to penetrate the upper partition 800 and is controlled by the control unit 1200 to allow or prevent the movement of air passing through the sterilizing part 700, thereby performing an opening and closing operation.
The cutoff partition 1000 is formed to be spaced upward from the upper partition 800, and to cross the inner space of the scrubber housing 100 while being positioned below the air discharge opening 102.
The upper damper 1100 is formed to communicate from the upper diaphragm 800 to the cutoff diaphragm 1000 and is controlled by the control unit 1200 to allow or prevent movement of air passing through the sterilizing part 700, thereby performing an opening and closing operation. The upper damper 1100 is fixed to the upper partition 800 and is communicated to the cutoff partition 1000 through a pipe.
The control unit 1200 controls the lower damper 300, the sterilizing liquid supply part 500, the blower 600, the circulation damper 900, and the upper damper 1100.
In addition, the control unit 1200 includes: a time setting unit 1210 setting and managing a sterilization operation time and an air purification operation time; a time providing unit 1220 that provides time; a time confirmation unit 1230 that counts and confirms the sterilization operation time and the air purification operation time set by the time setting unit 1210 based on the time provided by the time providing unit 1220; and an operation unit 1240 which operates the sterilizing liquid supply part 500 and the blower 600 during the sterilizing operation confirmed by the time confirmation unit 1230, and opens the circulation damper 900 while closing the lower damper 300 and the upper damper 1100, and which stops the sterilizing liquid supply part 500 while maintaining the operation of the blower 600 during the air cleaning operation confirmed by the time confirmation unit 1230, and closes the circulation damper 900 while opening the lower damper 300 and the upper damper 1100.
The user can arbitrarily set the sterilization operation time and the air purification operation time through the time setting unit 1210.
In addition, only the air purification operation time may be set by the time setting unit 1210 without setting the sterilization operation time. For example, if the air purification operation time is set to 12 hours, only the air purification function may be used during 12 hours without using the sterilization function.
The time providing unit 1220 includes a clock.
The time confirmation unit 1230 may be configured to confirm the sterilization operation time and confirm the air purification operation time, and then confirm the sterilization operation time and confirm the air purification operation time again. That is, since the sterilization operation time and the air purification operation time are repeated, the virus can be sterilized periodically.
If the sterilization operation time is not set at the time setting unit 1210, the sterilization operation time cannot be confirmed at the time confirmation unit 1230, so that only the air purification operation time can be confirmed.
The operation unit 1240 may stop the sterilizing liquid supply part 500 while maintaining the operation of the blower 600 and close the circulation damper 900 while opening the lower damper 300 and the upper damper 1100 during the air cleaning operation confirmed by the time confirmation part 1230.
Here, the sterilization operation time in the sterilizing liquid supplying part 500 includes: a sterilizing liquid supply time of three minutes, namely, operating the sterilizing liquid supply part 500 to supply the sterilizing liquid; a sterilizing liquid circulation time of 13 minutes, that is, the fan 600 is operated to circulate and repeatedly apply the air containing the sterilizing liquid to the sterilizing part 700 while opening the circulation damper 900 and closing the lower damper 300 and the upper damper 1100.
In addition, the air cleaning operation time may be set to a period of 3 hours, that is, while the blower 600 is operated such that viruses contained in the air are collected on the filter and sterilized by the sterilizing liquid while the air passes through the sterilizing part 700, the circulation damper 900 is closed and the lower damper 300 and the upper damper 1100 are opened. Thus, since the sterilizing operation time is set shorter than the air purifying operation time, not only the sterilizing liquid can be saved, but also viruses can be killed with a small amount of the sterilizing liquid.
Therefore, when the sterilizing liquid supply part 500 and the blower 600 are operated during the sterilizing operation, and the circulation damper 900 is opened while the lower damper 300 and the upper damper 1100 are closed, the sterilizing liquid supplied from the sterilizing liquid supply part 500 is supplied to the sterilizing part 700 together with the air by the blower 600, the sterilizing liquid is filtered by the sterilizing part 700, and only the air passes through the sterilizing part 700. At this time, the accumulated viruses can be killed by the sterilizing liquid filtered by the sterilizing unit 700.
And, the air passing upward through the sterilizing part 700 moves downward through the upper flow holes 810 of the upper partition 800, moves to the lower side of the sterilizing part 700 through the middle flow holes 410 of the middle partition 400, and then moves to the sterilizing part 700 again together with the sprayed sterilizing liquid. At this time, since the lower damper 300 and the upper damper 1100 are in a closed state, air is continuously circulated to supply the sterilizing part 700 with the sterilizing liquid so that the sterilizing liquid is uniformly distributed and soaked in the sterilizing part 700, and thus the virus sterilizing efficiency can be improved.
In addition, when the sterilizing liquid supply part 500 is stopped in a state where the operation of the fan 600 is maintained during the air cleaning operation, and the circulation damper 900 is closed while the lower damper 300 and the upper damper 1100 are opened, the air introduced through the air inlet 101 passes through the lower damper 300 and then passes through the sterilizing part 700 by the fan 600, so that the virus contained in the air is collected in the sterilizing part 700. Subsequently, the air purified by the virus being collected passes through the upper damper 1100 and is discharged to the outside through the exhaust outlet 102 to be provided to the user.
As described above, the present invention can improve the sterilization effect of viruses by repeating the air purification operation and the sterilization operation.
