Abstract

The present invention relates to electrical engineering, and more particularly to air humidifiers for creating artificial microclimates and for increasing the humidity of any room or office. The humidifier solves the technical problem of increasing the evaporation surface of the evaporation filter. The forced uniform distribution of the air flow over the surface of the evaporation filter and the free passage of air through said filter result in an increased exchange of air inside the cartridge and an increased speed of separation of water molecules from the surface of the evaporation filter, which results in an improved humidification efficiency of the air in the room and an improved performance of the humidifier.

Description

Air humidifier
Technical Field
The present invention relates to electrical engineering, and more particularly to air humidifiers for creating artificial microclimates and can be used to increase humidity in any room or office. The air humidifier may be mounted on a horizontal surface, on the floor of a room, or on a heating radiator, convector or heater.
Background
There is known an air humidifier including a body, a water tank having an evaporation filter soaked therein, an electric fan module located at an upper portion of the body, and a filter for air purification (patent RU 2283459C 2).
The disadvantages of this humidifier are: due to its large size, the large diameter of the fan module, the manufacturing complexity, the noise from the fan module and the high energy consumption required for pumping air through the filter for air purification.
There is a known radiator air humidifier, which includes: a body in the form of a vertical rectangular box with a lid and an open rear side, with a slot at the top of the front side; a water tank in which the evaporation filter is immersed, the top of the evaporation filter being fixed on a rod in the top of the body. The humidifier body is made of plastic. The evaporation filter is made of thin and dense cellulose material (sheet of cardboard, similar in structure to felt) with high hygroscopicity (patent DE8326722U 1).
A disadvantage of the known humidifier is the plastic body, which is vulnerable to long-term thermal exposure of the heat sink, mechanical effects and exposure to ultraviolet rays, and the compact structure of the evaporation filter, which does not allow airflow (including the airflow generated by the heat sink) to pass through it, which slows down natural convection in the room and reduces the efficiency of the humidifier, and which does not guarantee a high humidifier performance.
Most closely related to the present invention is a radiator air humidifier comprising: a body in the form of a box having a slot at the top of the front side and an open rear side; a water tank located at the bottom of the box; an evaporation filter, the top of which is located in the cartridge and the bottom of which is located at the bottom of the water tank.
The top of the evaporation filter is fixed to a rod at the top of the cartridge. The evaporation filter was made as a thin sheet made of dense hygroscopic material (patent RU 160861U 1).
A disadvantage of this humidifier is that the evaporation filter has a small evaporation surface as a sheet of hygroscopic material. The position of the evaporative filter in this design and within the cartridge is an obstacle to the free passage of air through the filter and the slots of the cartridge, which results in reduced air exchange within the cartridge and reduces the rate at which water molecules are separated from the surface of the sheet, thereby reducing the air humidification efficiency and humidifier performance within the room.
The dense structure of the evaporative filter does not allow airflow (including that generated by the radiator) through the filter, which results in slower natural convection within the room and a decrease in air humidification efficiency. The small evaporation area of the filter and its dense structure that does not allow air to pass through do not guarantee high humidifier performance.
Disclosure of Invention
The technical result of the claimed invention is to improve the efficiency of air humidification in a room and to ensure high humidifier performance.
A particular technical result is achieved by the fact that the air humidifier comprises: a box-shaped body having a slot at the top of the front side and an open rear side; a water tank located at the bottom of the box; according to the present invention, the air humidifier has a diffuser and a fan rotatable in a vertical plane, installed and fixed at a narrow inlet of the diffuser, wherein the diffuser is located behind the evaporation filter, at an upper portion of an open rear side of the case, fixed in the case, and pressed with a wide outlet portion onto the evaporation filter having a compartment for air to pass therethrough, wherein a lower portion of the evaporation filter is fixed in the water tank.
The air humidifier has at least one additional evaporation filter and at least one additional fan diffuser, which are arranged in parallel with the evaporation filter and the fan diffuser.
In the air humidifier, a narrow inlet of the diffuser is circumferentially manufactured in a circular shape, a wide outlet of the diffuser is circumferentially manufactured in a rectangular or square shape, and the diffuser is manufactured in a hollow truncated cone shape.
The diffuser has at least one strip for fastening the fan, said strip being mounted on the diameter of the circular narrow inlet of the diffuser.
In the humidifier, the cells for passing air through the evaporation filter may be manufactured in a honeycomb shape.
The compartment for passing air through the evaporation filter may be made as a hole.
The vertical rectangular box has a hole on the front side for supplying water into the water tank.
The air humidifier has a float level gauge mounted in the tank.
The water tank is made of transparent plastic.
The cartridge has a window in the front side for visual inspection of the float level gauge.
The air humidifier has a fastener for fastening to the radiator or the heater. The fastener has hooks and the box has hook holes on the sides.
The additional filter increases the total evaporative area of the filter and the additional fan diffuser increases the total velocity of the air through the evaporative filter; therefore, the use of the additional evaporation filter and the additional fan can improve the efficiency of air humidification in a room with a small-sized humidifier.
An evaporation filter with a constant area, positioned across the entire width and height of the cartridge, has a large evaporation surface due to the compartments. The forced uniform distribution of the air flow generated by the fan, which is directed directly to the area of the evaporation filter through the diffuser space, enables the air to freely pass through the entire surface of the wetted evaporation filter and provides a rapid air exchange within the humidifier, which can increase the speed of separation of water molecules from the surface of the evaporation filter and achieve a dense and stable saturation of the indoor air with moisture and an increased efficiency of humidification of the indoor air.
The unobstructed, forced and diffuser directed airflow allows air to pass through the compartment of the evaporative filter without loss, thereby improving the performance of the humidifier.
In addition, the humidifier has a low power consumption fan and a low noise level.
To increase the intensity of the moisture evaporation, the air humidifier may be placed on a central heating radiator or any other domestic air heater (hereinafter referred to as radiator). The honeycomb structure of the evaporative filter allows warm air to pass freely through the evaporative filter, which helps to increase the speed of removal of humid air from the body of the humidifier and thereby increases the efficiency of air humidification.

Detailed Description
The air humidifier comprises a body in the form of a cartridge 1, with a slot 2 at the top on the front side (fig. 1), and with an open rear side 3 (fig. 2). The water tank 4 is placed at the bottom of the cartridge 1. Having an evaporation filter 5, the top of which is located and fixed in the cartridge 1 and the lower part of which is fixed in the water tank 4; a diffuser 6 (fig. 3, 4) and a fan 7, which can be rotated on a vertical plane by means of an electric motor, mounted and fixed in a narrow inlet portion 8 of the diffuser 6. The diffuser 6 is located behind the evaporation filter 5, in the upper part of the open rear side 3 of the box 1, fixed in the vertical rectangular box 1 and pressed with a wide outlet portion 9 onto the evaporation filter 5, the evaporation filter 5 having a compartment 10 for the passage of air through it.
The cartridge 1 and the water tank 4 at the top have a support 11 and a bracket 12, respectively, for fixing and mounting the evaporation filter.
The air humidifier has at least one additional evaporation filter 13 and at least one additional diffuser 14 with a fan 15, which are placed parallel to the evaporation filter 5 and the diffuser 6 with the fan 7.
The additional evaporation filter 13 has the same design as the evaporation filter 5 and the additional diffuser 14 with fan 15 has the same design as the diffuser 6 and the fan 7, respectively.
In the described air humidifier, the horizontal axis of the fan is aligned with the horizontal axis of the diffuser. The narrow inlet portion 8 of the diffuser 6 is made circumferentially circular, the wide outlet portion 9 of the diffuser 6 is made circumferentially rectangular or square, and the diffuser 6 is made circumferentially hollow truncated cone.
The perimeter of the wide outlet portion 9 of the diffuser may be not only rectangular or square, but also circular, triangular or oval.
The diffuser 6 has at least one strip 16 for fastening the fan 7, said strip being mounted on the diameter of the circular narrow inlet of the diffuser. In the described humidifier, a second strap 17 is mounted, similar to strap 16. Any other number of straps may be used to mount the fan 7 with the electric motor.
The cells 10 for the passage of air through the evaporation filter 5 can be made as honeycombs or holes.
The cartridge 1 has a hole 18 at the front side for supplying water into the water tank 4.
The water tank 4 is made of transparent plastic. A float level gauge 19 is installed in the water tank 4.
The front side of the cartridge 1 has a window 20 for visual inspection of the float level gauge 19.
The air humidifier has a fastener for fastening to the heating heat diffuser or the heater. The fastener has hooks 21 and the side face of the box 1 has holes 22 for the hooks 21.
The evaporation filter 5 has moisture absorption performance.
The diffuser and fan are made of a moisture resistant material such as plastic.
The slot 2 is realized at the top on the front side of the cartridge 1 and can be of any shape: e.g. circular, rectangular.
The air humidifier operates as follows.
The air humidifier is installed on the floor of a room, water is poured through the hole 18 to supply water to the water tank 4, and the evaporation filter 5 absorbs the water because the lower portion of the evaporation filter 5 fixed in the bracket 12 is immersed in the water to the bottom of the water tank 4, and the top thereof located above the water tank 4 is immersed in the water due to the hygroscopic property of the evaporation filter 5, becoming wet.
The evaporation filter 5 with a constant area has a large evaporation surface due to the compartment 10.
When the fan 7 is rotated, the dry airflow is forced into the box 1 through the open rear side 3, into the narrow portion 8 of the diffuser 6, through the blades of the fan 7 and into the wide portion 9 of the diffuser 6 adjacent the evaporation filter 5. This creates an air pressure on the evaporation filter 5. Since the wide portion 9 of the diffuser 6 is adjacent to the evaporation filter 5, the air flow is evenly distributed over the entire surface of the compartment 10 of the wetted evaporation filter 5 located above the water tank 4. The air passes freely through the compartment 10 of the wetted evaporation filter 5 and is saturated with water molecules, after which the humidified air leaves the cartridge 1 through the slot 2 on the front side of the cartridge 1 under the influence of the air pressure.
The forced even distribution of the air flow over the surface of the evaporation filter and the free passage of air through the compartment results in an increased air exchange inside the cartridge and an increased speed of separation of water molecules from the surface of the evaporation filter, which results in an increased air humidification efficiency in the room and an increased performance of the humidifier.
Since the air flow generated by the fan 7 intensively blows away water molecules from the surface of the evaporation filter 5 through the diffuser 6, the evaporation filter 5 absorbs water from the water tank 4, with the result that the water level in the water tank gradually drops. Since the water tank 4 is made of transparent plastic, the float level gauge 15 can be seen through the window 16. The water level is controlled. In order to ensure continuous operation of the humidified room, it is necessary to periodically add water to the tank.
To increase the intensity of the moisture evaporation, the air humidifier may be placed on a central heating radiator or any other domestic air heater.
The air humidifier is mounted on the diffuser by means of hooks 21, the hooks 21 being inserted in side holes 22 made at different heights on the side of the cartridge 1 according to different heat sink sizes.
The air humidifier is installed such that the rear open side 3 of the case 1 is located at the front side of the radiator, the body of the radiator completely covers the rear open portion 3 of the case 1, and the heat scattered from the radiator heats the top portions of the diffuser 6, the fan 7, and the evaporation filter 5 located above the water tank 4.
During operation, the fan 7 draws air heated by the radiator through the rear open side 3 of the box 1, then the warm air enters the diffuser 6, where it is distributed evenly over the entire area of the wetted evaporation filter 5 at the top of the box 1 above the water tank 4, after which it passes freely through the compartments 10 in the evaporation filter 5, is saturated with moisture and leaves the vertical rectangular box 1 through the slots 2 on the front side of the vertical rectangular box 1.
The effect of warm air generated by the radiator on the evaporation filter 5 allows increasing the rate at which moisture evaporates from its surface with the cartridge 1 and fan 7 sufficiently compact, which can reduce energy consumption and noise levels compared to other known air humidifiers that operate according to the same scheme but do not use the thermal energy generated by the radiator or other domestic air heater. The humidification efficiency of the room can also be improved due to the uniform distribution of the humid air and the convection generated by the heat sink.
Using air heated by the radiator to forcibly purge the evaporative filter, a lower efficiency fan may be used compared to known humidifiers.
The use of heated air to force the evaporative filter 5 through the fan 7 allows the air humidified by the device to be distributed evenly throughout the room as the warm moist air exiting the slots 2 in the front of the cassette 1 participates in the natural convection in the room created by the radiator.
The air flow from the fan is directed forward, that is, air is supplied from the radiator side, which causes the evaporation filter to be blown by warm air heated from the radiator, which also contributes to increasing the speed at which moisture evaporates from the evaporation filter. Furthermore, with the fan turned on, the location of the air humidifier on the radiator increases the velocity of the air mass through the heating radiator, which also results in an increase in the heat transfer of the radiator and an acceleration of natural convection in the room.
The air humidifier according to the claimed invention has an increased evaporation surface due to the free passage of air through the evaporation filter and the slots of the body, allowing an increase in the speed of air passing through the evaporation filter, and this results in an increase in the speed of water molecules separation from the surface of the evaporation filter, thereby increasing the efficiency of air humidification in the room. The air humidifier has a small size and low power consumption.
