Detailed Description
The embodiments of the present invention will be described in further detail with reference to the drawings and embodiments. It should be understood that the specific embodiments described herein are merely illustrative of the embodiments of the invention and do not delimit the embodiments. It should be further noted that, for convenience of description, only some structures related to the embodiments of the present invention are shown in the drawings, not all of them.
With the wide development and deep application of OLED display panel technology, the pursuit of high-screen-ratio (even full-screen) display panels with better visual experience has become one of the trends of current display technology development. The high screen ratio display panel may have a Mura phenomenon in the display process, which reduces the display effect of the display panel. The conventional high-screen-ratio Display panel generally includes an UDC (Under Display Camera) Display area and a main Display area, where the UDC Display area is a screen in the screen, and is generally a Camera area of the Display panel, the Camera area is a Display area with low PPI, the lower PPI Display area has higher light transmittance to facilitate photographing, the main Display area is a Display area of the Display panel except the UDC Display area, and the PPI of the main Display area is generally higher than the PPI of the UDC Display area. In order to realize normal display, the average brightness of the UDC display area and the main screen display area is generally required to be the same, but the PPI of the UDC display area is lower than that of the main display area, so that the luminance of the sub-pixels in the UDC display area is higher than that of the sub-pixels in the main display area, for example, when the UDC display area is 200PPI and the main screen area is 400PPI, the luminance of the sub-pixels in the UDC display area is about 4 times that of the sub-pixels in the main display area. Because the luminance of sub-pixels in the UDC display area and the main display area has larger difference, optical data of the UDC display area and optical data of the main display area are acquired by exposing for two times through a camera in the existing compensation method, and Demura compensation is separately performed.
In order to make the display of the display panel uniform after compensation, embodiments of the present invention provide a compensation method and a compensation apparatus for a display panel.
Fig. 1 is a schematic flowchart of a compensation method for a display panel according to an embodiment of the present invention, and referring to fig. 1, the method includes the following steps:
s110, simultaneously acquiring first display data of a first display area and second display data of a second display area when the standard display panel displays a set gray scale; the surface of the first display area of the standard display panel is covered with a brightness adjusting sheet, and the first display data are display data obtained by adjusting light rays emitted by the first display area through the brightness adjusting sheet.
Specifically, the brightness adjusting sheet is configured to adjust brightness of the first display area entering the image acquisition device, so that a difference between display brightness of light emitted by the sub-pixels of the first display area after passing through the brightness adjusting sheet and display brightness of the sub-pixels of the second display area is within a preset range, specifically, may be ± 10%. Fig. 2 is a schematic structural diagram of a display panel according to an embodiment of the present invention, and fig. 3 is a schematic structural diagram of another display panel according to an embodiment of the present invention, referring to fig. 2 and fig. 3, the display panel includes a first display region 210 and a second display region 220, an area of a brightness adjusting sheet 230 is slightly larger than an area of the first display region 210, and the brightness adjusting sheet 230 completely covers the first display region 210. The first display data may include luminance data for each sub-pixel of a first display region of a standard display panel, and the second display data may include luminance data for each sub-pixel of a second display region of the standard display panel.
In the embodiment, the display brightness of the first display area is adjusted to be close to that of the second display area through the brightness adjusting sheet, then the first display area and the second display area in the standard display panel are shot in the same picture through the image acquisition equipment, and as the display brightness of the sub-pixels in the first display area is closer to that of the sub-pixels in the second display area, the first display data and the second display data in the standard display panel can be acquired simultaneously only by exposure once without respectively acquiring the first display data and the second display data in the standard display panel by exposure twice, so that exposure errors caused by different exposure parameters of the camera in the first display data and the second display data are avoided. The standard display panel is a display panel meeting the requirement of display uniformity, that is, the display panel has a standard range of brightness difference between sub-pixels of the same color in the first display area and the second display area when the sub-pixels display the same gray scale.
S120, simultaneously acquiring third display data of the first display area and fourth display data of the second display area when the display panel to be compensated displays the set gray scale; the surface of the first display area of the display panel to be compensated is covered with a brightness adjusting sheet, and the third display data is the display data of the light emitted by the first display area after being adjusted by the brightness adjusting sheet.
Specifically, the third display data may include luminance data of each sub-pixel in the first display area of the display panel to be compensated, and the fourth display data may include luminance data of each sub-pixel in the second display area of the display panel to be compensated. The display panel to be compensated represents a display panel that needs to be subjected to luminance compensation. The method comprises the steps of covering a brightness adjusting sheet in a first display area of a display panel to be compensated, shooting the first display area and a second display area of the display panel to be compensated in the same picture by using image acquisition equipment, recording the picture as a second picture, and then acquiring third display data in the first display area and fourth display data in the second display area in the second picture.
S130, determining compensation data of the display panel to be compensated according to the first display data, the second display data, the third display data and the fourth display data, and compensating the display panel to be compensated.
Specifically, the compensation data may be compensation data of a first display area in the display panel to be compensated, or compensation data of a second display area in the display panel to be compensated. The compensation criterion of the display panel to be compensated may be determined according to the first display data and the second display data of the standard display panel. Determining compensation data of the display panel to be compensated according to the first display data, the second display data, the third display data, and the fourth display data may include: and determining the compensation value of each sub-pixel according to the fourth display brightness and the target display brightness. Determining compensation data of the display panel to be compensated according to the first display data, the second display data, the third display data and the fourth display data may further include: and determining the standard brightness ratio of the first display area and the second display area according to the ratio of the first average display brightness and the second average display brightness of the same-color sub-pixels, and determining the compensation data of the display panel to be compensated according to the standard brightness ratio, the third display data and the fourth display data.

The first display data and the second display data in the standard display panel can be simultaneously acquired only by exposure once, the first display data and the second display data in the standard display panel do not need to be respectively acquired by exposure twice, exposure errors caused by different camera exposure parameters of the first display data and the second display data are avoided, the third display data and the fourth display data in the display panel to be compensated can be simultaneously acquired only by exposure once, the third display data and the fourth display data in the display panel to be compensated do not need to be respectively acquired by exposure twice, exposure errors caused by different camera exposure parameters of the third display data and the fourth display data are avoided, and therefore the first display data, the second display data, the third display data and the fourth display data are more accurate, and the compensation data of the display panel to be compensated are determined according to the first display data and the second display data in the standard display panel, so that the brightness relation of the first display area and the second display area of the compensated display panel is close to the brightness requirement of the first display area and the second display area of the standard display panel.

Figure BDA0003301232210000161
Figure BDA0003301232210000162
Figure BDA0003301232210000163
