The invention provides a collaborative design platform based on CAD and a using method thereof, comprising a local end and a server end; the local side downloads the drawing copy from the server side, performs cooperative processing and uploads the drawing copy to the server side; the local end comprises a drawing design module, a login module and a right limiting module; the drawing design module comprises a plurality of layers; the login module is used for a designer to log in the platform; the right limiting module is used for appointing a designer for the drawing and appointing layer rights for the designer; the server side comprises a merging module used for automatically merging and covering the modified layers to the corresponding layers of the corresponding drawings in the server. The invention realizes the collaborative design of designers of different specialties on the same drawing, realizes the uniqueness of all design data, reduces the design conflict and reduces the communication cost, thereby improving the design efficiency. Design standards and standard control can be carried out through the collaborative platform or the collaborative design platform, and management of project drawings is facilitated.

The method is characterized in that only one designer can modify the same layer at the same time, the layer can be locked once the designer with authority opens the drawing, and other designers can not modify the layer even if the other designers have the authority of the layer.

3. The CAD-based collaborative design platform of claim 1 or 2, wherein said rights module configures one or more layer rights under one or more drawings for each designer.

The CAD-based collaborative design platform of claim 3, wherein the local side further comprises a locking module, and the locking module is configured to set a drawing or a layer that a designer does not have permission to read only for the designer or lock a layer being modified by other designers according to the drawing permission and the layer permission assigned to the designer by the permission limiting module.
