Description

Method for controlling cursor movement, content selection method, method for controlling page scrolling and electronic equipment
Technical Field
The present application relates to the field of electronic devices, and in particular, to a method for controlling cursor movement, a method for selecting content, a method for controlling page scrolling, and an electronic device.
Background
In the process of browsing a page or editing contents, in some cases, a user needs to move a cursor to adjust the position of text input. Referring to fig. 1, currently, in some electronic devices, a user can move a cursor 102 with a finger in a content editing area 101 to adjust the position of the cursor 102. Considering the position where the cursor 102 is occluded by a finger, a magnifying glass 103 is displayed above the content editing area 101 for magnifying and displaying the content where the finger occludes when the cursor 102 is moved by the finger. The user can observe and adjust the position of the cursor 102 through the magnifying glass 103. However, the content displayed by the magnifying glass 103 is limited, and only partial content can be displayed. The user's line of sight needs to switch back and forth between the content displayed in the content editing area 101 and the content displayed in the magnifying glass 103 in order to adjust the cursor 102 to the target position. Therefore, the conventional cursor moving method is inefficient.
Disclosure of Invention
The application provides a method for controlling cursor movement and electronic equipment, and aims to solve the problem that the efficiency of cursor movement is low in the prior art.
In a first aspect, a method for controlling cursor movement is provided, which is applied to an electronic device, and includes: the electronic equipment detects a first preset operation of a user. And responding to the first preset operation, and starting a cursor moving function by the electronic equipment. And the electronic equipment detects a second preset operation of the user in a preset time interval after the first preset operation. And responding to the second preset operation, and controlling the cursor to move by the electronic equipment.
The method can be applied to the scene that the electronic equipment currently displays the interface and the user wants to move the cursor in the process of browsing the interface. For example: the user opens applications such as word and electronic book on the mobile phone, and wants to position the cursor at a certain position to perform subsequent operations such as inserting comments at the position in the process of browsing pages of the applications.
In this scenario, the first preset operation includes any one of the following operations: a click operation, a press operation, or a slide operation at a first edge of the electronic device. Correspondingly, the starting of the cursor movement function by the electronic equipment comprises the following steps: the electronic device flashes a cursor within the current interface to indicate to the user that the cursor movement function has been turned on to move the cursor. Or the electronic equipment displays a cursor moving area in the current interface. The content editing area and the cursor moving area are not completely overlapped, namely the cursor moving area can be completely independent from the content editing area and has no overlapped part; or may partially overlap the content editing region. As long as the cursor movement region and the content editing region do not completely coincide. The second preset operation includes: a sliding operation at a second edge of the electronic device. If a virtual keyboard is displayed on the current interface, the cursor movement region can be overlaid (overlaid) or hovered over the virtual keyboard.
Optionally, the second edge and the first edge may be the same edge or different edges.
By the method, when the electronic equipment detects clicking, pressing or sliding operation of a user on the edge of the electronic equipment, the electronic equipment flickers a cursor to start a cursor moving function. The user may then slide on the edge of the electronic device to control cursor movement. Therefore, the method for controlling the cursor to move by sliding on the edge of the electronic device provided by the embodiment of the application can avoid the problem that the efficiency of moving the cursor by a user is low because a hand for moving the cursor by a finger in the content editing area can shield part of the content.
The method can also be applied to an interface currently displayed by the electronic equipment, wherein the interface comprises a content editing area, for example, in the process that a user browses articles or mails on a tablet computer, the user wants to move a cursor or perform positioning.
The method can also be applied to the interface currently displayed by the electronic equipment, wherein the interface comprises a content editing area and a virtual keyboard area, a cursor is displayed in the content editing area, and a virtual keyboard is displayed in the virtual keyboard area. I.e. in the context of a user editing the content. For example: when a user opens applications such as short messages and words on a mobile phone to edit texts, the user wants to move a cursor.
In this scenario, the first preset operation includes any one of the following operations: a click operation, a press operation or a slide operation on a first edge of the electronic device; a tangential press operation within the electronic device virtual keyboard zone; and performing touch operation with the contact area of the virtual keyboard larger than a preset threshold value. Correspondingly, the starting of the cursor movement function by the electronic equipment comprises the following steps: the electronic device displays a cursor movement region within the virtual keyboard region. The second preset operation includes any one of the following operations: a sliding operation or a tangential pressing operation within the cursor movement region; a sliding operation at a second edge of the electronic device.
Optionally, the second edge and the first edge may be the same edge or different edges.
Through the method, the user executes certain operations to control the cursor to move through the cursor moving area loaded on the edge of the electronic equipment or the virtual keyboard, and the problem that the efficiency of moving the cursor by the user is low because the hand of the user can shield part of content when the user moves the cursor by using the finger in the content editing area can be avoided.

When the second preset operation comprises a tangential pressing operation in the cursor moving area, the moving direction of the cursor is associated with the tangential pressing direction of the tangential pressing operation of the user in the cursor moving area.
In a possible design of the first aspect, when the second preset operation includes a sliding operation at the second edge of the electronic device, the moving speed of the cursor is associated with a sliding speed of the sliding operation of the user at the second edge of the electronic device. When the second preset operation comprises a sliding operation in the cursor moving area, the moving speed of the cursor is associated with the sliding speed of the sliding operation of the user in the cursor moving area. When the second preset operation comprises a tangential pressing operation in the cursor moving area, the moving speed of the cursor is associated with the pressing force degree of the tangential pressing operation of the user in the cursor moving area.
In a second aspect, a content selection method is provided, which is applied to an electronic device, and includes: the electronic equipment detects a first preset operation of a user. Responding to the first preset operation, the electronic equipment displays a content selection control in a current interface, wherein the content selection control comprises a starting control and an ending control, and the content between the starting control and the ending control is selected content. And the electronic equipment detects a second preset operation of the user within a preset time interval after the first preset operation. And responding to the second preset operation, and the electronic equipment moves the starting control in the current interface. And the electronic equipment detects a third preset operation of the user within a preset time interval after the first preset operation. And responding to the third preset operation, and moving the tail control in the current interface by the electronic equipment.

The method provided by the embodiment of the application can be applied to the electronic device shown in fig. 2.
Before describing the method provided by the embodiment of the present application, the following concepts related to the embodiment of the present application are described:
first, the concept of the edge of the electronic device according to the embodiments of the present application. The edge of the electronic device in the embodiment of the present application includes an edge of a display screen of the electronic device, a frame portion outside the display screen on a panel (generally referred to as a front panel) where the display screen of the electronic device is located, and a side of the electronic device, for example, a side provided with a volume key, a mute key, and the like. Referring to fig. 3 (1), the electronic device 300 includes a display screen 301, and then the edges of the electronic device referred to in the embodiment of the present application include four edges of the display screen, namely, a gray area 3011 in fig. 3 (1). It will be appreciated that for other shapes of display screen, for example circular display screens, the edges of the display screen are the outermost regions of the circular display screen away from the centre of the circle. In addition, referring to (2) in fig. 3, the edge of the electronic device referred to in the embodiment of the present application further includes a portion of the electronic device other than the display screen 301, such as a gray area 302 shown in (2) in fig. 3. Referring to (3) in fig. 3, the edge of the electronic device in the embodiment of the present application further includes a side 303 of the electronic device, such as a side currently used for setting a volume key, a mute key, and the like.
The display screen of most electronic devices is a capacitive touch screen at present. The capacitive touch screen is formed by sticking a layer of transparent special metal conductive substance on the surface of glass. When a finger touches the metal layer, the capacitance of the contact point changes, so that the frequency of an oscillator connected with the contact point changes, and the touch position can be determined by measuring the frequency change to obtain information. Therefore, the electronic device detects the contact position and the contact area of the finger of the user on the edge of the display screen by detecting the capacitance change of the edge of the display screen, and detects the pressure of the user pressing the display screen and the like by combining the pressure sensor. Therefore, the electronic apparatus can detect whether the user has performed an operation at the edge of the display screen and the type of the performed operation. For some electronic devices, the ultrasonic technology can be used for detecting the contact position, the contact area and the like of a user on the side of the electronic device, and the specific principle is as follows: after the user presses the side of the electronic equipment, the ultrasonic waves detected by the electronic equipment can change. Therefore, the electronic device can detect whether the user has performed an operation on the side of the electronic device and the type of the operation. For specific implementation of detecting the operation of the user input by using technologies such as capacitance and ultrasonic, reference may be made to the prior art, and details thereof are not described herein.
The content referred to in the embodiment of the application is any content which can be displayed on the page, and includes character content such as characters and symbols, and also includes content such as pictures.
At present, applications installed on electronic devices such as mobile phones include applications such as word and electronic book. During the process of browsing the pages displayed by the applications, the user may need to move the cursor to position the cursor to a specific position and then perform subsequent annotation insertion.
The embodiment of the application provides a method for controlling cursor movement. Referring to fig. 4, the method includes the steps of:
401. the electronic device currently displays an interface.
The interface is any interface, can be a pure text interface, and can also include an interface of a text and a picture.
402. The electronic equipment detects a first preset operation of a user on a first edge of the electronic equipment.
The first edge of the electronic equipment is any edge of the electronic equipment. Taking the electronic device shown in fig. 3 as an example, the first edge may be any edge of upper, lower, left, and right edges of a display screen of the electronic device, or may be any frame of upper, lower, left, and right frames of the electronic device. The first preset operation includes any one of the following operations: click operation, press operation, and slide operation. The clicking operation comprises clicking operation such as single clicking, double clicking or continuous three clicking. The pressing operation comprises that the pressing force is larger than a preset force threshold, or the pressing time is larger than a preset time threshold. The sliding operation comprises the sliding distance being greater than a preset distance threshold.
The electronic device detects the first preset operation and then performs step 403.
403. And responding to the first preset operation, and the electronic equipment flickers and displays a cursor in a current interface.
In a specific implementation of this step, the electronic device flashes a display cursor in the current interface to indicate that the electronic device starts a cursor movement function. Optionally, if the cursor is not displayed on the current interface of the electronic device, after the electronic device detects the first preset operation of the user, the cursor is automatically displayed at the end of the content displayed on the current interface or at the center of the current interface, or at a position for displaying the cursor, which is indicated by the user by clicking a certain position on the current interface. The embodiment of the application does not limit the display position of the cursor on the current interface.
Optionally, if a cursor is already displayed on the current interface of the electronic device, after the electronic device detects a first preset operation of the user, the electronic device quickly flickers and displays the cursor at a position where the cursor is currently displayed, so as to prompt the user that a function of moving the cursor is already started, and the user can move the cursor.
404. And the electronic equipment detects a second preset operation of the user within a preset time interval after the first preset operation.
Optionally, the predetermined time interval is short, typically a few seconds to ten seconds, such as 5 seconds. The second preset operation includes: a sliding operation at a second edge of the electronic device. Wherein the second edge may be the same as or different from the first edge.
Therefore, when the second preset operation is not detected within the preset time after the electronic device starts the cursor movement function, the electronic device exits the cursor movement function.
405. And responding to the second preset operation, and the electronic equipment moves a cursor in the current interface.
Specifically, when the cursor movement function is just started, the cursor is displayed at a certain position in the current interface, when the user slides on the second edge of the electronic device, the cursor moves in the current interface, and the user sliding direction is associated with the cursor movement direction. For example: and the second edge is the right edge of the electronic equipment, when the user slides upwards along the right edge, the cursor moves word by word to the left in the current interface until the cursor moves to the beginning of the row, and then when the user continues to slide upwards, the cursor moves word by word to the end of the last row and then moves left with the upward sliding operation of the user. Similarly, when the user slides down along the right edge, the cursor moves word by word to the right in the current interface until moving to the end of the line, and then when the user continues to slide down, the cursor moves to the beginning of the next line and then moves word by word to the right along with the downward sliding operation of the user.
Illustratively, referring to fig. 4a, as shown in (1) of fig. 4a, the electronic device currently displays an interface 410, where the interface 410 displays text content. When the user performs the pressing operation 411 at the edge of the electronic device, the electronic device displays an interface as shown in (2) in which a cursor 412 is displayed at the end 4101 of the text content. Thereafter, as shown in (3), when the user performs the upward sliding operation 413 at the edge of the electronic device, the cursor 412 is moved word by word from the position 4101 to the position 4102. As shown in (4), when the user performs a downward sliding operation 414 at the edge of the electronic device, the cursor 412 is again moved rightward from the position 4102 to the position 4101.
In other implementation manners, after the electronic device starts the cursor movement function, a user can control the cursor to move line by sliding on one edge of the electronic device and control the cursor to move word by sliding on the other edge of the electronic device, and the movement direction of the cursor is associated with the sliding direction of the user. For example: the user slides up the left edge of the electronic device to control the cursor to move up line by line and slides down to control the cursor to interact down line by line. And the right edge slides upwards to control the cursor to move leftwards word by word and slides downwards to control the cursor to move rightwards word by word.
Alternatively, the cursor movement distance s1 is proportional to the finger movement distance s 2. According to cursor movementWhen the ratio between the distance s1 and the finger movement distance s2 is such that the finger movement distance s2 is converted to the cursor movement distance s1 and the inter-word distance d1 is set in advance, the number of characters moved by the cursor is
Figure BDA0003236539100000121
And when the value of a is a non-integer, rounding according to a rounding method. Alternatively, the finger movement distance s2 is converted to the cursor movement distance s1 according to the ratio between the cursor movement distance s1 and the finger movement distance s2, and if the cursor is moved by s1 to be located at the interval between two characters, the cursor is moved by s 1. If the cursor is moved by s1 to overlap the position of a character, the cursor is moved to the character interval closest to the movement distance s 1.
Further, optionally, in an implementation, the cursor moving speed v1 is proportional to the finger sliding speed v2, and the value of the proportion is fixed to r. Thus, the faster the finger moves, the faster the cursor moves.
Optionally, in another implementation, the following relationship exists between the ratio r between the cursor movement speed v1 and the finger sliding speed v2 and the finger sliding speed:
Figure BDA0003236539100000122
wherein, r is min 、r max 、v min 、v max 、k 1 、k 2 The values of (A) are all fixed values.
That is, when the finger sliding speed v2 is less than the preset speed threshold value v min At this time, the ratio r between the cursor movement speed v1 and the finger sliding speed v2 is a fixed value r min . When the finger sliding speed v2 is greater than the preset speed threshold value v max The ratio r between the cursor moving speed v1 and the finger sliding speed v2 is a fixed value r max . When the finger sliding speed v2 is greater than the preset speed threshold value v mi n is less than a predetermined speed threshold v max When r takes the value k 1 +k 2 (v2-v min ) Also, it isI.e. there is a linear relationship between v1 and v 2.
Optionally, in another implementation manner, the cursor moving speed v1 is independent of the finger sliding speed v2, and the cursor always moves at a constant speed according to the preset speed.
At present, applications installed on electronic devices such as mobile phones include applications such as short messages, WeChat, and word. During the process of editing a short message by using an application such as a short message or a WeChat, or during the process of editing a text by using an application such as a word, the user may need to locate the position of the cursor to insert a text at the position of the cursor.
In the above scenario, the method for controlling cursor movement provided in the embodiment of the present application, with reference to fig. 5, includes the following steps:
501. the electronic equipment is currently provided with an interface, the interface comprises a content editing area and a virtual keyboard area, a cursor is displayed in the content editing area in a flashing mode, and a virtual keyboard is displayed in the virtual keyboard area.
The content editing area is used for displaying the content which is being edited by the user.
Illustratively, referring to (1) in fig. 5a, the user is editing content in the application "MEMO", where the currently displayed interface of the electronic device includes a content editing box 510a and a virtual keyboard 511, and a cursor 512 is displayed at the end of the text content displayed by the content editing box 510 a. Referring to (2) in fig. 5a, the user is editing the short message in the application of "short message", at this time, the electronic device currently displays an interface including a content editing box 510b and a virtual keyboard 511, and a cursor 512 is displayed at the end of the text content displayed by the content editing box 510 b.
502. The electronic equipment detects a first preset operation of a user on a first edge of the electronic equipment.
Wherein the first preset operation comprises any one of the following operations: for the specific implementation of the step, reference may be made to the foregoing step 402, which is not described herein again.
503. And responding to the first preset operation, and displaying a cursor moving area in the virtual keyboard area by the electronic equipment.
Wherein, in one implementation, the cursor movement region may completely cover the virtual keyboard. In another implementation, the cursor movement region covers only a portion of the virtual keyboard.
Optionally, the electronic device displays a cursor movement area in a floating manner on the virtual keyboard to indicate that a cursor movement function is started, and at this time, the user cannot operate the virtual keyboard. Optionally, the cursor moving region displays preset content associated with the cursor position in the content editing region, where the preset content mainly refers to content near the cursor, for example, content with a distance between the cursor and the cursor within 5 characters with the cursor as a circle center, and is intended to facilitate a user to accurately confirm a current position of the cursor.
In order to exit the cursor movement function, in an optional implementation manner, as long as the user performs the operation of controlling the movement of the cursor and the finger leaves the electronic device, the electronic device does not detect the operation of the user within 5s, and the cursor movement function is automatically exited, and at this time, the cursor movement area displayed in the virtual keyboard area automatically disappears. In another alternative implementation, the cursor movement region automatically disappears by the user exiting the cursor movement function by clicking the "back" button or clicking a blank in the cursor movement region. After the cursor moving area automatically disappears, the electronic device restores the original interface, for example: the virtual keyboard is redisplayed.
Illustratively, referring to fig. 5b (1), the currently displayed interface of the electronic device includes a content edit box 510 and a virtual keyboard 511, and a cursor 512 is displayed in a blinking manner at the end 5101 of the content. When the electronic device detects a pressing operation 513a of the user at the edge of the electronic device, the electronic device displays an interface as shown in (2) in fig. 5 b. In this interface, a cursor movement area 514 is displayed in a floating manner on a virtual keyboard of the electronic device, which indicates that the electronic device starts a cursor movement function, and at this time, the user cannot operate the virtual keyboard. Since the cursor 512 is located at the end of content 5101 in the content editing region, only the content near the cursor 512 is displayed in an enlarged manner in the cursor movement region 514, so that the user can accurately confirm the current position of the cursor.
Illustratively, as an alternative to operation 513a, referring to (1) in fig. 5c, when the electronic device detects a sliding operation 513b of the user at an edge of the electronic device, the electronic device displays an interface as shown in (2) in fig. 5 c. In this interface, a cursor movement area 514 is displayed on the virtual keyboard of the electronic device in a floating manner, which indicates that the electronic device starts a cursor movement function, and at this time, the user cannot operate the virtual keyboard. Likewise, only content near the cursor 512 is displayed in an enlarged scale within the cursor movement region 514. In the implementation mode, when the sliding distance of the user on the right edge of the display screen is larger than a certain distance, the mobile phone can be triggered to start the cursor movement function. The sliding direction is not limited, and the sliding direction may be a certain distance of upward sliding, a certain distance of downward sliding, or a distance of upward sliding and a distance of downward sliding, and the total sliding distance reaches a preset distance.
504. And the electronic equipment detects a second preset operation of the user within a preset time interval after the first preset operation.
Wherein the second preset operation comprises: a sliding operation at a second edge of the electronic device. The step 404 may be referred to for specific implementation of this step, and details thereof are not repeated here.
505. And responding to the second preset operation, and the electronic equipment moves a cursor in the content editing area.
Wherein the cursor moving direction is associated with a sliding direction of the second preset operation. For the specific implementation of this step, reference may be made to step 405, which is not described herein again.
Optionally, in an implementation, the starting of the cursor movement function by the electronic device is triggered from the user performing the first preset operation on the first edge of the electronic device to the user sliding on the first edge of the electronic device to move the cursor is a consecutive process. That is, when the user performs operation 513a or 513b, the finger does not leave the first edge, and then the cursor moves by sliding from the position of the contact with the mobile phone at this time. In the process, once the finger of the user leaves the first edge of the electronic device, the cursor movement is considered to be finished, the mobile phone exits the cursor movement function, and the cursor movement area disappears.
Referring to fig. 5d, the user presses the right edge of the display to perform a slide up operation 515a, and the cursor 512 moves word by word left from location 5101 to the beginning (leftmost location) 5102 of the row. If the user still continues to slide up at the right edge, the cursor 512 jumps to the end of the previous line (rightmost position) 5103. Thereafter, the user continues to slide up at the right edge, and the cursor 512 moves word by word left from location 5103 to 5104 as the user slides up.
After the cursor is moved to a specific position by applying the above method for controlling cursor movement provided by the embodiment of the present application, the user may delete the content before the position of the cursor or insert new content into the position of the cursor. For example: in conjunction with FIG. 5d, after the user moves the cursor to location 5104, the user may exit the cursor movement function, delete the three words "cafe" in front of the cursor, or enter new content at the location of the cursor.
When the user changes the sliding direction, namely the user slides downwards along the right edge of the mobile phone, the cursor moves rightwards from the current position.
Referring to fig. 5e, the user presses the right edge of the display to perform a slide down operation 515b, and the cursor 512 moves from the location 5104 to the right to the end of the row 5103. Thereafter, the user continues to press the right edge of the display to slide down, and the cursor 512 is moved from the location 5103 to the beginning 5102 of the next row. Thereafter, the user continues to press the right edge of the display screen to slide down, and the cursor 512 moves from the location 5102 and then to the right to the location 5101.
It should be noted that the dashed frames indicated by the positions 5101, 5102, and 5103 are only for indicating the position of the cursor, and these dashed frames are not actually displayed on the interface.
Optionally, in another implementation manner, after the mobile phone starts the cursor movement function, the finger of the mobile phone may briefly leave the display screen. The user only needs to touch the second edge of the display screen again by the finger within the preset time length and execute the sliding operation of moving the cursor. Or, in the process that the user slides along the second edge of the electronic device to move the cursor, the user may leave the second edge of the electronic device shortly after sliding for a certain distance, and the cursor continues to move along with the sliding operation of the user as long as the finger resumes sliding along any position of the second edge of the electronic device within the preset time period. If the user does not slide along the second edge of the electronic equipment again after the preset time length is reached, the action of moving the cursor is finished, the mobile phone quits the cursor moving function, and the cursor moving area disappears.
Referring to FIG. 5f, the user performs a slide up operation 515c at the right edge of the display until sliding up to the topmost portion of the display, the cursor 512 is moved word-by-word left from location 5101 to location 5105. At this time, the user releases the finger from the display screen, and within a preset time period (e.g., 5s), the user starts to perform the upward sliding operation again from any position on the right edge of the display screen, and the cursor 512 moves word by word from the position 5105 to the left to the position 5106.
Alternatively, referring to fig. 5b to 5f, the local content associated with the cursor position in the content editing region 510 is displayed in the cursor moving region 514 in an enlarged manner, so that the user can precisely confirm whether the moving direction and the final moving position of the cursor in the cursor moving region meet the requirement.
It should be noted that, although the forgotten recording application is described as an example in fig. 5b to fig. 5f, in practical applications, the forgotten recording application may be any application capable of being edited, such as an application of short message, QQ, WeChat, word, and the like. In addition, in the above fig. 5b to fig. 5f, the specific operation performed by the user at the right edge of the display screen to trigger the mobile phone to start the cursor movement function is taken as an example for explanation, and other edges of the display screen, such as the upper edge, the lower edge, the left edge, etc., may also be used in practical applications. And the correspondence between the sliding direction of the user on a certain edge of the display screen and the cursor moving direction is not limited to the correspondence shown in fig. 5b to 5 f. For example: it is also possible that when the user slides down at the right edge (or left edge) of the display screen, the corresponding cursor moves to the right and jumps to the beginning of the next line when moving to the rightmost side of the line. When the user slides up at the right edge of the display screen, the corresponding cursor moves to the left and jumps to the end of the previous line when moving to the leftmost side of the line. Alternatively, when the user slides to the left at the upper edge (which may also be the lower edge) of the display screen, the corresponding cursor slides to the left, and jumps to the end of the previous line when moving to the leftmost side of the line. When the user slides to the right at the upper edge (also referred to as the lower edge) of the display screen, the corresponding cursor moves to the right and jumps to the beginning of the next line when moving to the rightmost side of the line.
The embodiment of the present application further provides a method for controlling cursor movement, which can still be applied in a scene where a user edits content on a currently displayed interface, as shown in fig. 6, the method includes the following steps:
601. an interface is currently displayed on the electronic equipment, the interface comprises a content editing area and a virtual keyboard area, a cursor is displayed in the content editing area, and a virtual keyboard is displayed in the virtual keyboard area.
602. The electronic equipment detects the preset operation of a user on the preset edge of the electronic equipment.
Wherein the preset operation comprises any one of the following operations: click operation, press operation, and slide operation. For the specific implementation of this step, reference may be made to step 402, which is not described herein again.
603. And responding to the preset operation, and displaying a cursor moving area in the virtual keyboard area by the electronic equipment.
For the specific implementation of this step, reference may be made to step 503, which is not described herein again.
604. And the electronic equipment detects the operation of the user in the cursor moving area within a preset time interval after the preset operation.
Optionally, the operation of the user in the cursor moving area includes a sliding operation and a tangential pressing operation.
605. In response to a user operation within the cursor movement region, the electronic device moves the cursor within the content editing region.
Optionally, when the operation of the user in the cursor movement region is a sliding operation, the cursor movement direction is associated with a sliding direction of the sliding operation of the user in the cursor movement region. Optionally, initially, the cursor is displayed at a first position in the content editing area, and after the user triggers the electronic device to start the cursor movement function through a preset operation on a preset edge of the electronic device, the electronic device displays the cursor movement area on the virtual keyboard in a suspension manner. The user can slide by taking any position in the cursor moving area as a starting point to further trigger the cursor to move, the cursor moving direction is associated with the user sliding direction, and the corresponding relation can be that the cursor moving direction is consistent with the user sliding direction, namely that the user slides leftwards from the starting point, and then the cursor moves leftwards word by word from the first position; when the user slides rightwards from the starting point, the cursor moves rightwards word by word from the first position; when the user slides upwards from the starting point, the cursor moves upwards line by line from the first position; when the user slides downwards from the starting point, the cursor moves downwards line by line from the first position. Further, the cursor movement speed is associated with a sliding speed of a sliding operation of a user within the cursor movement region. For example: the faster the user slides within the cursor movement area, the faster the cursor moves.
Optionally, when the operation of the user in the cursor movement region is a tangential pressing operation, the cursor movement direction is associated with a pressing direction of the tangential pressing operation of the user in the cursor movement region. For example: when the tangential pressing operation of the user in the cursor moving area is a tangential pressing operation towards the left, the cursor moves word by word towards the left. When the tangential pressing operation of the user in the cursor moving area is rightward tangential pressing operation, the cursor moves rightward word by word. Further, the cursor movement speed is associated with a pressing force degree of a tangential pressing operation of the user within the cursor movement region. For example: the greater the force of the user's tangential depression within the cursor movement area, the faster the cursor movement speed.
To more clearly explain the method shown in fig. 6, referring to fig. 6a, in the process of content editing by the user opening the application of "Memo (Memo)", as shown in (1) of fig. 6a, the handset displays a content editing area 610 and a virtual keyboard 611. Content editing area 610 has displayed therein content currently being edited by the user, the content being edited including a plurality of lines, and cursor 612 is displayed at the end 6101 of the content being edited. The user presses the right edge of the display screen as shown in operation 613 a. The handset displays an interface as shown in (2) in which a cursor movement region 615 is displayed in a floating manner on the virtual keyboard, indicating that the handset turns on the cursor movement function. At this time, the user cannot operate the virtual keyboard 611. Thereafter, as shown in (3), the user performs an operation 614a of sliding leftward within the cursor movement region 615, and the cursor is moved leftward word by word from the position 6101 to the position 6102. As shown in (4), the user performs an operation 614b of sliding upward in the cursor moving field 615, and the cursor moves upward line by line from the position 6101 to the position 6103.
According to the method, the electronic equipment displays the cursor moving area in the virtual keyboard area after detecting the operation of the user on the edge of the electronic equipment so as to start the cursor moving function, and then when detecting the operation of the user in the cursor moving area, the electronic equipment controls the cursor to move according to the operation of the user in the cursor moving area, so that the problem that when the user moves the cursor in the content editing area by using the finger, the cursor moving efficiency is low due to the inconvenience caused by the fact that the finger shields the cursor is operated is solved.
The embodiment of the present application provides another method for controlling cursor movement, which can still be applied in a scene where a user edits content on a currently displayed interface, and with reference to fig. 7, the method includes the following steps:
701. an interface is currently displayed on the electronic equipment, the interface comprises a content editing area and a virtual keyboard area, a cursor is displayed in the content editing area, and a virtual keyboard is displayed in the virtual keyboard area.
702. The electronic device detects a first operation of a user on the virtual keyboard area.
Wherein the first operation is a pressing operation in a first direction input by a user at a first position of the virtual keyboard region. The first position is an arbitrary position of the virtual keyboard region. The first direction is any direction. That is, it can be understood that the first pressing operation is a tangential gesture in a certain direction input by the user at any position in the virtual keyboard region.
Optionally, after detecting the first pressing operation input by the user, the electronic device displays a cursor moving area in a suspended manner on the virtual keyboard to start a cursor moving function.
703. In response to the first operation of the user on the virtual keyboard area, the electronic device displays a cursor movement area in a floating manner on the virtual keyboard.
704. And the electronic equipment detects a second operation of the user in the cursor moving area within a preset time interval after the first operation.
And the second operation is a second pressing operation which is input by the user at a second position of the cursor moving area and is along a second direction, and the pressing force of the pressing operation is greater than the preset force threshold. The second position may be any position in the cursor movement region, the first position, or another position different from the first position. The second direction may be any direction, may be the same direction as the first direction, or may be another direction different from the first direction. That is, the second pressing operation is a tangential force applied by the user in the cursor moving area along a certain direction, and the strength of the tangential force is greater than a preset strength threshold.
Optionally, the second operation may also be a sliding operation of the user in the cursor movement region.
705. In response to a second operation of the user in the cursor moving region, the electronic device moves the cursor in the content editing region.
When the second operation of the user in the cursor moving area is a second pressing operation, the direction and the speed of the electronic equipment for moving the cursor are related to the second pressing operation, namely the tangential force applied by the user in the cursor moving area. Specifically, the direction of cursor movement is associated with the direction of the tangential force, and the speed of cursor movement is associated with the strength of the tangential force. Optionally, the direction of the electronic device moving the cursor is consistent with the direction of a tangential force applied by the user in the cursor moving area, and the moving speed is directly proportional to the magnitude of the tangential force, that is, the larger the tangential force is, the faster the cursor moving speed is. In a specific implementation, the electronic device moves two cursors simultaneously according to the tangential gesture. The first cursor is invisible to the user and can move freely in a two-dimensional space corresponding to the content editing area. The second cursor is a cursor visible to the user and can only move among the contents contained in the content editing area. The moving direction of the first cursor is the same as the direction of the tangential force, and the moving speed is in direct proportion to the force of the tangential force. The position of the cursor II is determined by the cursor I. The position of the second cursor is the position with the shortest distance to the cursor in all insertable cursor positions (gaps among contents).
When the second operation of the user in the cursor moving area is a sliding operation of the user in the cursor moving area, the cursor moving direction is associated with the sliding direction of the sliding operation, and the cursor moving speed is associated with the sliding speed of the sliding operation.
To more clearly explain the method shown in fig. 7, for example, referring to fig. 7a, during text editing by the user opening a "memo" application, the mobile phone displays a content editing area 710 and a virtual keyboard 711. The content editing area 710 has content currently being edited by the user displayed therein and a cursor 712 is displayed at the end 7101 of the text being edited. If the user tilts and applies force to the right at any position (shown as position 7111 in the figure) of the virtual keyboard 711, that is, inputs the rightward tangential gesture 713, then as shown in (2) in fig. 7, the mobile phone displays the cursor moving region 714 in a floating manner on the virtual keyboard 711, which indicates that the mobile phone starts the cursor moving function, and the user cannot operate the virtual keyboard 711.
Optionally, in an implementation manner, after the mobile phone starts the cursor moving function, referring to fig. 7b (1), the finger of the user does not leave the position 7111 of the virtual keyboard 711, and then tilts to the left at the position 7111 to apply a force, that is, inputs the left tangential gesture 715a, so that when the mobile phone detects the tangential gesture and the tangential force of the tangential gesture is greater than the preset threshold, the cursor 712 moves to the left from the position 7101 to the position 7102. Similarly, referring to fig. 7b (2), if the user tilts the virtual keyboard 711 to the right with a force, that is, inputs the tangential gesture 715b to the right, the cursor moves from the position 7101 to the position 7103 in the right direction when the mobile phone detects the tangential gesture and the tangential force is greater than the preset threshold. Referring to fig. 7b (3), the user tilts the position 7111 of the virtual keyboard 711 upwards to apply a force, that is, inputs an upward tangential gesture 715c, and when the mobile phone detects the tangential gesture and the tangential force is greater than a preset threshold, the cursor moves upwards from the position 7101 to the position 7104. Referring to fig. 7b (4), the user tilts downward to apply a force, that is, inputs a downward tangential gesture 715d, at a position 7111 of the virtual keyboard 711, and when the mobile phone detects the tangential gesture and the tangential force is greater than a preset threshold, the cursor moves downward from the position 7101 to a position 7105.
Optionally, in another implementation manner, after the mobile phone starts the cursor movement function, the finger briefly leaves the cursor movement region, and inputs the tangential force at another position in the cursor movement region within a preset time interval. Referring to fig. 7c (1), the user inputs a left tangential gesture 716a at a certain position 7141 in the cursor moving region, the cursor 712 moves from the position 7101 to the left to a position 7102, and then the user's finger briefly leaves and tilts to the left to exert force at another position 7142 of the virtual keyboard 714 within 5s after leaving, that is, inputs a left tangential gesture 716 b. When the mobile phone detects the tangential gesture and the tangential force of the tangential gesture is greater than a preset threshold, the cursor 712 continues to move leftward from the position 7102 to the position 7103.
It should be noted that, in the foregoing implementation manner, as long as the tangential force input by the user on the virtual keyboard is greater than the preset threshold, the user does not need to move the position of the finger, and the cursor will always move according to the direction indicated by the tangential force. In addition, the above description takes the example that the user inputs the tangential gestures of up, down, left, and right, respectively, and in practical applications, the user may also input the tangential forces in the directions of up left, down left, up right, down right, and the like.
In the method, the user controls the electronic device to display the cursor movement area by inputting the tangential gesture on the virtual keyboard so as to start the cursor movement function. After turning on the cursor movement function, the user may tilt the finger in different directions at a certain position at the cursor movement region and press the cursor movement region to apply different tangential forces, the cursor moving with the tangential gesture input by the user. In the method, the user can control the cursor movement without moving fingers.
The embodiment of the application provides another method for controlling the movement of a cursor, which is still applied to a scene in which a user edits content on a currently displayed interface. Referring to fig. 8, the method includes the steps of:
801. an interface is currently displayed on the electronic device, the interface comprises a content editing area and a virtual keyboard area, a cursor is displayed in the content editing area, and a virtual keyboard is displayed in the virtual keyboard area.
802. The electronic equipment detects the touch operation that the contact area of a user and the virtual keyboard is larger than a preset threshold value.
The touch operation that the contact area of the user and the virtual keyboard is larger than the preset threshold value can be understood as a large-area gesture input by the user on the virtual keyboard. For example: when a user clicks the virtual keyboard by the fingertip of a finger, the contact area between the user and the virtual keyboard is small; and when the whole finger of the user is in contact with the virtual keyboard, the electronic equipment detects that the contact area of the user and the virtual keyboard is large. After detecting the touch operation input by the user, the electronic device executes the following step 803 to start the cursor movement function.
Optionally, in other implementation manners, in addition to detecting the contact area between the user and the virtual keyboard, the user also detects the pressing force and/or the touch duration when the user touches the virtual keyboard, and when the pressing force and/or the touch duration when the user touches the virtual keyboard with the large-area gesture are greater than a certain force and/or are greater than a certain duration, the electronic device executes the following step 803 to start the cursor movement function.
803. Responding to the touch operation, and displaying a cursor moving area in the virtual keyboard area by the electronic equipment.
804. The electronic equipment detects the operation of a user in the cursor moving area.
The operation of the user in the cursor moving area can be a sliding operation, and the sliding operation comprises a sliding operation that the user slides from a first position to a second position of the cursor moving area. The first position is any position in the cursor moving area, and may be a position in contact with the cursor moving area when the user performs the touch operation, or may be another position.
The operation of the user in the cursor moving area can also be a tangential pressing operation, and the tangential pressing operation is a tangential gesture which is input by the user at any position of the cursor moving area and is along a certain direction.
After detecting the operation of the user in the cursor moving area, the electronic device performs step 805 described below.
805. In response to a user operation within the cursor movement region, the electronic device moves the cursor within the content editing region.
When the operation of the user in the cursor moving area is sliding operation, the moving direction of the cursor is associated with the sliding direction of the user in the cursor moving area. Optionally, the moving speed of the cursor is associated with the sliding speed of the user in the sliding operation in the cursor moving area. That is, the electronic device determines the moving direction of the cursor according to the direction of the sliding operation in step 804, and determines the moving speed of the cursor according to the speed of the sliding operation. In a specific implementation, the electronic device moves two cursors simultaneously according to the sliding operation. The first cursor is an invisible cursor of a user and can freely move in a two-dimensional space corresponding to the content editing area. The second cursor is a cursor visible to the user and can only move among the contents contained in the content editing area. The moving direction of the first cursor is the same as the sliding direction of the sliding operation of the user in the cursor moving area, and the moving speed is in direct proportion to the sliding speed of the sliding operation. The position of the second cursor is determined by the first cursor. The position of the second cursor is the position with the shortest distance to the cursor in all insertable cursor positions (gaps among contents). In other implementation manners, the moving speed of the cursor is independent of the sliding speed of the user and is fixed to be a preset speed.
When the operation of the user in the cursor moving area is a tangential pressing operation, the moving direction of the cursor is associated with the direction of the tangential force of the tangential pressing operation of the user in the cursor moving area, and the moving speed of the cursor is associated with the magnitude of the tangential force of the tangential pressing operation of the user in the cursor moving area.
To more clearly explain the method shown in fig. 8, for example, referring to fig. 8a, as shown in fig. 1 in fig. 8a, during the content editing process by the user opening the application of "memo", the handset displays a content editing area 810 and a virtual keyboard 811. The content editing area 810 has content currently being edited by the user displayed therein, and a cursor 812 is displayed at the end of the content being edited 8101. As shown in operation 813, when the user touches the virtual keyboard 811 with the entire finger at an arbitrary position on the virtual keyboard 811, the mobile phone displays a cursor movement region 814 in a floating manner on the virtual keyboard 811 as shown in (2) in fig. 8a, which indicates that the mobile phone activates the cursor movement function and the user cannot operate the virtual keyboard 811.
Optionally, in an implementation manner, after the mobile phone starts the cursor movement function, the finger of the user does not leave the cursor movement region, and then a sliding operation is performed in the cursor movement region with a position in contact with the cursor movement region as a starting point, where the cursor moves along with the sliding operation of the user, and a movement direction of the cursor is the same as the sliding direction.
Optionally, in another implementation manner, after the mobile phone starts the cursor movement function, the finger of the user leaves the cursor movement region for a short time, and then contacts the cursor movement region again and performs a sliding operation in the cursor movement region, where the cursor moves along with the sliding operation of the user, and a cursor movement direction is the same as a user sliding direction.
For example: when the user's finger briefly leaves (the brief leaving refers to leaving within a preset time period, such as within 5s) the virtual keyboard, and slides to the left on the virtual keyboard from any position on the virtual keyboard, the cursor moves to the left along with the sliding operation when the mobile phone detects the sliding gesture.
Referring to fig. 8 (1) in fig. 8b, if the user performs a leftward sliding operation 813a in the cursor movement area, when the mobile phone detects the sliding gesture, the cursor 812 moves leftward from position 8101 to position 8102. Similarly, referring to (2) in fig. 8b, when the user performs an upward sliding operation 813b in the cursor movement region, the cursor 812 moves upward from the position 8101 to the position 8103.
According to the method, after the electronic equipment detects a large-area gesture input by a user on the virtual keyboard, the cursor moving area is displayed in a suspending mode on the virtual keyboard so as to start the cursor moving function. After the cursor moving function is started, the electronic equipment moves the cursor according to the sliding operation of the user in the cursor moving area.
It should be noted that, in view of the fact that the embodiment of the present application provides a new method for controlling cursor movement, when the method is applied to an electronic device, the method is equivalent to a new function provided by the electronic device. To teach the user to use this new functionality, the user is prompted, either animatedly or by gestures, how to manipulate to control cursor movement when the user first uses a particular application.
At present, applications installed on electronic devices such as mobile phones include applications such as word and electronic book. During browsing the pages displayed by the applications, a user may want to select a certain text and copy and paste the text to another position of the page or another page.
In the above scenario, an embodiment of the present application provides a content selection method, with reference to fig. 9, the method includes the following steps:
901. the electronic device currently displays an interface.
902. The electronic equipment detects a first preset operation of a user on a first edge of the electronic equipment.
Wherein the first edge is any edge of the electronic device. However, in order to distinguish the method for controlling the cursor movement shown in fig. 4, the first edge referred to herein is different from the first edge shown in fig. 4. For example: when the user inputs a first preset operation on the right edge, the electronic equipment starts a cursor movement function. When the user performs a first preset operation at other designated edges (one of the left edge, the upper edge, and the lower edge), the electronic device turns on a content selection function.
The first preset operation includes any one of the following operations: the method comprises the steps of clicking the first edge of the electronic device, pressing the first edge of the electronic device and sliding the first edge of the electronic device. For the specific implementation of the first preset operation, reference may be made to the foregoing step 402, which is not described herein again.
903. And responding to the first preset operation, and displaying a content selection control in a current interface by the electronic equipment.
The content selection control comprises a starting control and an ending control, and the content between the starting control and the ending control is selected content. Optionally, the content selection control is automatically displayed at the end or the center of the content contained in the interface, or the user designates a position for displaying the content selection control by clicking a certain position of the interface. Optionally, if the cursor is displayed on the current interface, the content selection control is automatically displayed at the position of the cursor.
9041. And the electronic equipment detects a second preset operation of the user within a preset time interval after the first preset operation.
Wherein the second preset operation comprises: a sliding operation at a second edge of the electronic device. The second edge may be the same edge as the first edge or may be a different edge.
9051. And responding to the second preset operation, and the electronic equipment moves a starting control in the current interface.
Wherein the moving direction of the start control is associated with the sliding direction of the second preset operation. For example: when the user slides upwards at the right edge of the display screen, the starting control moves word by word leftwards, and when the user slides downwards at the right edge of the display screen, the starting control moves word by word rightwards.
Optionally, the moving speed of the start control is a fixed preset speed, or the moving speed of the start control is associated with the sliding speed of the second preset operation.
9042. And the electronic equipment detects a third preset operation of the user within a preset time interval after the first preset operation.
Wherein the preset time interval is short, typically several seconds, and the third preset operation comprises a sliding operation at a third edge of the electronic device, the third edge being different from the second edge.
9052. And responding to the third preset operation, and the electronic equipment moves the tail control in the current interface.
And the moving direction of the tail control is associated with the sliding direction of the third preset operation.
Optionally, the moving speed of the end control is a fixed preset speed, or the moving speed of the end control is associated with the sliding speed of the third preset operation.
According to the method, after a first preset operation is executed on the first edge of the electronic equipment, a user triggers the electronic equipment to display the content selection control. Furthermore, the user can control the start control of the content selection control to move after performing the sliding operation on the second edge of the electronic device, and the user can control the end control of the content selection control to move after performing the sliding operation on the third edge of the electronic device. Therefore, the user can control the content selection control to move and further control the content to be selected by executing certain operations at the edge of the electronic equipment, and the problem that the inconvenience is brought by the fact that the sight of the user is shielded by the hand of the user when the content is selected in the interface can be avoided.
To more clearly illustrate the method shown in fig. 9, for example, referring to fig. 9a, the mobile phone currently displays an interface 910 of the application of memo. As shown in (1) of fig. 9a, when the user performs a press operation 911 at the left edge of the display screen, the cellular phone displays a content selection control 912 at the end 9101 of the content currently displayed, the content selection control 912 including a start control 9121 and an end control 9122. As shown in (3) of fig. 9a, when the user performs the operation 913a of sliding up on the left edge of the display screen, the start control 9121 moves from the position 9101 to the left to the position 9102, and the end control 9122 does not move, at which time the content between the position 9101 and the position 9102 is selected. Thereafter, as shown in (4) in fig. 9a, when the user performs the operation 913b of sliding up on the right edge of the display screen, the end widget 9122 moves from the position 9101 to the left to the position 9103, at which time the content between the position 9103 and the position 9102 is selected. The selected content is shown in grey area in figure 9 a.
The embodiment of the application further provides a method for selecting the content in the editing process, and the method can be still applied to a scene that a user edits the content on the currently displayed interface.
Referring to fig. 10, the method includes the steps of:
1001. the electronic equipment displays a content editing area and a virtual keyboard area, wherein contents to be edited and a cursor are displayed in the content editing area, and a virtual keyboard is displayed in the virtual keyboard area.
1002. The electronic equipment detects a first preset operation input by a user at a first edge of the electronic equipment.
For the specific implementation of this step, reference may be made to step 902, which is not described herein again.
When the electronic device detects a first preset operation input by the user at the first edge, the electronic device executes the following step 1003.
1003. In response to the first preset operation, the electronic device displays a content selection control at the cursor.
Wherein the content selection control comprises a start control and an end control.
When the electronic device just starts the content selection function, both the start control and the end control of the content selection control are displayed at the position of the cursor in the content editing area, that is, the selected content is empty.
Optionally, after detecting the first preset operation, the electronic device displays a content display area in a suspended manner on the virtual keyboard, where the content selected between the start control and the end control is displayed in the content display area. At this time, the user cannot operate the virtual keyboard.
1004a, the electronic device detects a second preset operation of the user at a second edge of the electronic device within a preset time interval after the first preset operation.
Wherein the predetermined time interval is short, typically a few seconds. The second preset operation comprises a sliding operation at a second edge of the electronic equipment. The second edge may be the same as the first edge or may be different from the first edge.
1005a, responding to the second preset operation, and the electronic equipment moves the starting control in the content editing area.
And the moving direction of the starting control is associated with the sliding direction of the second preset operation. Optionally, the moving speed of the start control is a fixed preset speed, or the moving speed of the start control is associated with the sliding speed of the second preset operation.
1004b, the electronic device detects a third preset operation of the user at a third edge of the electronic device within a preset time interval after the first preset operation.
Wherein the third preset operation comprises a sliding operation at a third edge of the electronic device. The third edge is a different edge than the second edge.
1005b, responding to the third preset operation, and the electronic equipment moves the end control in the content editing area.
Wherein the moving direction of the end control is associated with the sliding direction of the user at the third edge of the display screen. Optionally, the moving speed of the end control is a fixed preset speed, or the moving speed of the end control is associated with the sliding speed of the third preset operation.
According to the method, in the process of editing the content by the user, when the user slides on the second edge or the third edge of the display screen, the tail control or the starting control of the content selection control moves in the content editing area to select the specific content, and the selected content is the content between the starting control and the tail control.
The following description will take the first edge and the second edge as the same edge, which are both the left edge of the display screen, and the third edge as the right edge of the display screen as an example.
To more clearly illustrate the method shown in fig. 10, for example, taking a mobile phone as an example, referring to fig. 1 in fig. 10a, during text editing by opening a memo application, the mobile phone displays a content editing area 1010 and a virtual keyboard 1011. The content editing area 1010 displays the content currently being edited by the user, and the cursor is displayed at the end 10101 of the text being edited. When the mobile phone detects a pressing operation 1013a performed by the user at the left edge of the mobile phone, as shown in fig. 10a (2), the mobile phone displays a content selection control 1012 at a position 10101 where a cursor is displayed, indicating that the mobile phone turns on a content selection function. The content selection control 1012 includes a start control 10121 and an end control 10122, and the currently selected content is empty. Further, the mobile phone displays the content display area 1014 in a floating manner on the virtual keyboard 1011, and at this time, the user cannot operate the virtual keyboard 1011.
As an alternative to operation 1013a, referring to fig. 1 in fig. 10b, after the user performs a slide-up operation 1013b on the left edge of the display of the mobile phone and slides a certain distance. As shown in fig. 10a (2), the mobile phone displays a content selection control 1012 at a position 10101 where a cursor is displayed, indicating that the mobile phone turns on a content selection function. Further, the mobile phone displays the content display area 1014 in a floating manner on the virtual keyboard 1011, and at this time, the user cannot operate the virtual keyboard 1011. In this implementation manner, when the sliding distance of the user on the left edge of the display screen is greater than a certain distance, the mobile phone may be triggered to start the content selection function, where the sliding direction is not limited.
After the content selection function of the mobile phone is started, the start control 10121 and the end control 10122 of the content selection control 1012 are both overlapped at the current position 10101 of the cursor, and the currently selected content is empty. Thereafter, the user may slide at a second edge of the display screen to control the start control movement of the content selection control, or the user may slide at a third edge of the display screen to control the end control movement of the content selection control.
Illustratively, the user can slide up and down the left edge of the cell phone display using a finger to adjust the position of the start control 10121. Referring to fig. 10c, as shown in (1) of fig. 10c, the user performs an operation 1015a of sliding upwards on the left edge of the mobile phone, the start control 10121 moves left word by word, and the selected content is added until the selected content moves to the start position 10102 of the row, at which time the selected content is "go to friend B at 5 pm". Thereafter, as shown in (2) of fig. 10c, the user continues to perform the sliding-up operation on the left edge of the mobile phone, and the start control 10121 jumps to the last position 10103 of the previous line. Thereafter, as shown in (3) in fig. 10c, the user continues to perform the operation of sliding up on the left edge of the handset, and then the start control 10121 moves to the left to the position 10104. At this time, the content "see client a to see friend B at 5 pm" is selected.
Similarly, when the user changes the sliding direction, i.e., slides down, the end control moves to the right word by word along with the sliding operation of the user. When moving to the right at the end of the line, the end control continues to move to the end of the next line with the user's swipe down operation. Thereafter, the end control continues to move word by word to the right in the row as the user's swipe down operation continues.
After the user adjusts the start control to a particular position, the user can slide on the right edge of the display screen to adjust the position of the end control. Likewise, when the user slides up, the end control moves to the left until it moves to the beginning of the row (leftmost position). As the user continues to slide up, the end control moves to the end of the previous row (the rightmost position) and then moves to the left as the user slides up. As the user slides down, the end control moves to the right until it moves to the end of the row (rightmost position). As the user continues to slide down, the end control moves to the beginning of the next row (leftmost position) and then moves to the right as the user slides down.
Referring to fig. 10d (1), the currently selected content is "go to friend B at 5 pm", and the end control 10122 is now at position 10101. As shown in (2) of fig. 10d, the user performs a upward sliding operation 1015b on the right edge, and the end control 10122 moves word by word from the position 10101 to the left to a position 10105, where the currently selected content is "go 5 pm".
Alternatively, the finger of the electronic device may be briefly removed from the display screen after the content selection function is turned on. The method can be implemented as long as the finger touches the second edge or the third edge of the display screen again within the preset time length and performs the sliding operation. Alternatively, during the process of sliding the user along the second edge or the third edge of the electronic device to select the specific content, the user may leave the second edge or the third edge of the electronic device for a short time after sliding a distance (e.g., sliding to the top of the edge, and not sliding further), and the end control or the start control continues to move along with the sliding operation of the user as long as the finger starts sliding along any position of the second edge or the third edge of the electronic device again within the preset time period. If the user does not slide along the second edge or the third edge of the electronic equipment again after the preset time duration is reached, the content selection operation is finished, the electronic equipment exits the content selection function, and the content display area disappears.
Referring to fig. 10e (1), the mobile phone displays the cursor moving area 1014 in a floating manner on the virtual keyboard, and when the user performs a sliding operation 1015a upwards on the left edge of the display screen and slides to the topmost position of the left edge, the start control 10122 moves to the position 10106 word by word left. At this time, the user leaves the finger from the display screen, and starts to perform the upward sliding operation 1015a within a preset time period (for example: 5s), referring to (2) in fig. 10e, from any position on the left edge of the display screen again), and the start control 10122 continues to move leftward to the leftmost position 10107 of the line.
Alternatively, referring to fig. 10c to 10e, the currently selected content is displayed in the content display area 1014 in an enlarged manner.
Optionally, the moving distance of the start control and the end control of the content selection control is associated with the sliding distance of the user between the second edge and the third edge of the electronic device, and the moving speed of the start control and the end control is associated with the sliding speed of the user between the second edge and the third edge of the electronic device.
It should be noted that, when the second preset operation is not detected within a preset time (generally, a short time is several seconds or ten seconds) after the electronic device starts the content selection function, the electronic device exits the content selection function, and the user needs to re-input the first preset operation to trigger the electronic device to restart the content selection function. If the electronic device does not detect the second preset operation all the time, the content display area on the virtual keyboard disappears, and the user can operate the virtual keyboard.
According to the method, the electronic equipment starts the content selection function after detecting the first preset operation input by the user at the edge of the display screen. After the content selection function is started, after the electronic equipment detects that a second preset operation input by the user is performed on the edge of the display screen, the tail control and the starting control of the content selection control are moved to select corresponding content in the content editing area, and therefore the problem that the sight of the user is shielded and the user operation is inconvenient when the user selects the content in the content editing area can be avoided.
After the specific content is selected by applying the content selection method provided by the embodiment of the application, the user can press the selected content, and after the electronic device detects that the user presses the selected content, functional options such as "copy", "cut", "delete" and the like are popped up, so that the user can perform corresponding operations such as copying, cutting or deleting on the selected content.
It should be noted that, in view of the fact that the embodiment of the present application provides a new content selection method, when the method is applied to an electronic device, the method is equivalent to a new function provided by the electronic device. To teach the user to use this new functionality, the user is prompted, either animatedly or by gestures, how to manipulate to select particular content when the user first uses a particular application.
When a user browses a web page or a picture using an electronic device, the electronic device may not be able to completely display the entire web page or picture, and the user needs to continuously adjust the web page or picture to scroll and display the web page or picture. At present, a user needs to continuously slide or drag an interface to browse, and the operation efficiency is low. Furthermore, when the electronic device is large in size, in such a manner, sometimes it is necessary for the user to hold the electronic device with one hand and perform the sliding operation with the other hand, which is inconvenient for the one-handed operation.
Referring to fig. 11, an embodiment of the present application provides a method for controlling page scrolling, including the following steps:
1101. the electronic device displays a page.
The page can be a plain text, a plain picture, or both a text and a picture.
1102. The electronic equipment detects a first preset operation of a user.
1103. And responding to the first preset operation, and starting a page scrolling function by the electronic equipment.
1104. The electronic equipment detects a second preset operation of the user.
1105. And responding to the second preset operation, and the electronic equipment scrolls and displays the page.
Optionally, in an implementation manner, the first preset operation in step 1102 includes that a pressing force degree of the user pressing the first edge of the electronic device is greater than a preset force threshold, and also includes that a contact area between the user and the first edge of the electronic device is greater than a preset area threshold and the pressing force degree is greater than a preset force threshold. The first edge is an arbitrary edge. After detecting the first preset operation input by the user, the electronic device executes the step 1103. The second preset operation in step 1104 includes a pressing operation in a first direction input by a user at a first position on a second edge of the electronic device. The second edge may be any edge of the display screen, and may be the first edge or other edges. The first position is an arbitrary position on the second edge, and when the second edge is the same as the first edge, the first position may be a position where the user inputs the first preset operation on the first edge, for example, a position where the user presses the first edge on the first edge. The first position may also be any other position on said second edge. That is, it can be understood that the second preset operation is a tangential force by which the user presses an arbitrary edge of the display screen of the electronic device obliquely in a certain direction at a certain position on the edge. After the electronic device detects the second preset operation input by the user, the step 1105 is executed. When step 1105 is executed, the scrolling direction when the electronic device scrolls and displays the page is associated with the direction of the tangential force input by the user in step 1104, for example, the same, and the scrolling speed of the page is associated with the strength of the tangential force input by the user in step 1104, for example, a direct relationship. Alternatively, in other implementations, the page scrolling speed is proportional to the magnitude of the tilt angle of the tangential force input by the user at step 1104, with the greater the tilt angle, the faster the page scrolling speed. Or, in other implementations, the page is scrolled at a preset speed as long as the force with which the user presses the right edge of the display screen is greater than a certain threshold.
To more clearly illustrate the above implementation of the method shown in fig. 11, for example, referring to fig. 11a (1), the handset displays a page 1110. The user executes a pressing operation 1111a on the right edge of the display screen, and when the pressing operation 1111a is executed, the contact area between the user and the right edge of the display screen is larger than a preset area threshold value, and the pressing force is also larger than a preset force threshold value, so that the mobile phone starts a page scrolling function. Next, referring to fig. 11a (2), the user presses the right edge of the display screen upward at the right edge of the display screen to apply the upward tangential gesture 1112a, and the page 1110 moves upward accordingly. To illustrate, in one implementation, when the user applies the tangential gesture 1112a, the user's finger does not leave the right edge of the display after the mobile phone turns on the page scrolling function, and then the upward tangential gesture 1112a is applied by the position where the pressing operation 1111a is performed. In another implementation, the user's finger briefly leaves after the phone turns on the page scrolling function (the time of the leaving is within a preset time period, which is typically several seconds, such as 5s), and then presses the right edge of the display screen obliquely upward at any position on the right edge of the display screen to apply the upward tangential gesture 1112 a. The handset scrolls up page 1110 according to the tangential gesture.
According to the method, after the electronic equipment detects that the user triggers the operation on a certain edge of the display screen, the function of scrolling the page is started. After detecting a tangential gesture input by a user at a certain edge, the electronic device scrolls a page according to the direction indicated by the tangential gesture at a certain speed according to the strength of the tangential gesture. Thus, the user need only press and hold a certain position of the edge of the display screen to trigger page scrolling.
Optionally, in another implementation manner, the first preset operation in step 1102 includes that the user presses the page, and the pressing force degree is greater than a preset force threshold, or includes that a contact area between the user and the page is greater than a preset area threshold, or includes that the force for the user to press the page is greater than a preset force threshold and the contact area between the user and the page is greater than a preset area threshold. After detecting the first preset operation, the electronic device executes the step 1103 to start the page scrolling function. The second preset operation in the step 1104 includes a pressing operation in a first direction input by the user at a first position of the page. The first position is any position on the page, and the first position may be a position when the user inputs the first preset operation on the page, for example, a position where the user presses the page on the page. The first position may also be any other position on the page. That is, it can be understood that the second preset operation is a tangential force that the user presses a page in a certain direction in a certain position on the currently displayed page of the electronic device. After the electronic device detects the second preset operation input by the user, the step 1105 is executed. When step 1105 is executed, the direction of scrolling the page by the electronic device is the same as the direction of the tangential force input by the user in step 1104, and the scrolling speed is proportional to the magnitude of the tangential force input by the user in step 1104. Alternatively, in other implementations, the page scrolling speed is proportional to the magnitude of the tilt angle of the tangential force input by the user at step 1104, with the greater the tilt angle, the faster the page scrolling speed. Alternatively, in other implementations, the page scrolls at a preset speed as long as the force with which the user presses the right edge of the display screen is greater than a certain threshold.
To more clearly illustrate the above implementation of the method shown in fig. 11, for example, referring to (1) in fig. 11b, the handset displays a page 1110. The user executes a pressing operation 1111b in the page, and when the pressing operation is executed, the contact area between the user and the page is larger than a preset area threshold, and the pressing force is also larger than a preset force threshold, so that the mobile phone starts a page rolling function. Next, referring to fig. 11b (2), the user presses the page up on the left edge of the display screen to apply the upward tangential gesture 1112b, and the page 1110 moves up accordingly. It should be noted that, in an implementation manner, when the user applies the tangential gesture 1112b, the user's finger does not leave the page after the mobile phone turns on the page scrolling function, and then the upward tangential gesture 1112b is applied by the position where the pressing operation 1111b is performed. In another implementation, the user's finger briefly leaves the page after the cell phone turns on the page scrolling function (the time of the leaving is within a preset time period, which is typically several seconds, such as 5s), and then presses the right edge of the display screen obliquely upward at any position on the page to apply the upward tangential gesture 1112 b. The handset scrolls up page 1110 according to the tangential gesture.
It should be noted that, in the two implementation manners, after the electronic device starts the page scrolling function, when the electronic device does not detect the second preset operation input by the user within a preset time period, the electronic device exits the page scrolling function.
Optionally, in other implementations, the user may trigger the electronic device to start the page scrolling function by sliding on the edge of the electronic device. No matter what way is adopted to trigger the electronic equipment to start the page scrolling function, the user can slide on the edge of the electronic equipment to trigger the page scrolling. Wherein the page scrolling direction is associated with the sliding direction of the user. The page scrolling speed is a fixed preset speed or is associated with the user's swipe speed. Illustratively, the user slides a certain distance on the right edge of the display screen to trigger the electronic device to start the page scrolling function. And then, the user slides upwards at the right edge of the display screen, so that the page scrolls upwards, and slides downwards at the right edge of the display screen, so that the page scrolls downwards. In addition, during the page scrolling process, the faster the user slides, the faster the page scrolling speed is.
