Network protection method and device
Technical Field
The present application relates to the field of communications technologies, and in particular, to a network protection method and apparatus.
Background
In an actual Network bearer, there are various Network bearer technologies, such as an Optical Transport Network (OTN) technology, a Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH) technology, an Ethernet (ETH) technology, and a Packet Transport Network (PTN) technology. In these network bearer technologies, corresponding network protection mechanisms are deployed, for example, an n: m protection mechanism, a ring network protection mechanism, a link aggregation protection mechanism, a home protection mechanism, and the like, so as to implement fast protection and fault recovery of related services.
At present, in a network using these network bearing technologies, a network device may be deployed with multiple network protection mechanisms, each network protection mechanism may be implemented by one network protection module, and different network protection modules are associated with different link detection modules, so that all network protection modules in the network device need to detect whether a respective used primary link fails through their associated link detection modules, and according to a detection result, decide whether to switch to their respective standby links for operation and whether to change their respective operating states.
In this network protection method, even if the active links used by different network protection modules are the same, the related detection operation and the related switching operation still need to be executed, which results in a long switching time of the related links, and thus the link switching efficiency is low, thereby affecting the network experience.

Next, examples of the present application will be described in detail.
An embodiment of the present application provides a network protection method, as shown in fig. 1, where the method is applied to a network protection management module, and the method may include the following steps:
s11, receiving a managed request which is sent by any network protection module in the network equipment and used for requesting the management of the protected management module.
In this step, the managed request may also be referred to as a queuing request, and is sent when the network protection module initially operates on the primary link, or sent after the network protection module switches from the standby link back to the primary link and waits for a set duration, and the managed request carries information of the primary link used by the network protection module.
Here, the set time period may also be referred to as a queuing time period, and may be set according to an actual situation of a network to which the network device belongs, for example, the set time period is 5 minutes. In specific implementation, the method can be implemented in a queuing timer mode, and the time length of the queuing timer is the set time length.
And S12, when a network protection management group corresponding to the main link information exists locally and the working state of the network protection management group is a main state, adding the network protection module into the network protection management group.
And S13, if a first fault notification message for notifying that the main link has a fault is received, wherein the first fault notification message is sent by a first link detection module associated with the network protection management group, all network protection modules in the network protection management group are controlled to be switched to respective standby links to work.
In this step, the first link Detection module may detect the active link using an existing fast general Detection mechanism, for example, a Bidirectional Forwarding Detection (BFD) session of an interface, and the like.
It should be noted that, in this embodiment of the application, in a network scenario, the network protection management module may be disposed inside the network device.
In another network scenario, the network protection management module may be disposed inside a network management platform in a network to which the network device belongs.
In any of the above network scenarios, the network device refers to any network device deployed with multiple network protection modules.
Further, in this embodiment of the application, after receiving the managed request, the network protection management module may further perform the following operations:
if the network protection management group corresponding to the main link information does not exist locally, establishing the network protection management group corresponding to the main link information, setting the working state of the network protection management group as a main state, and adding the network protection module into the established network protection management group;
if the network protection management group corresponding to the main link information exists locally and the working state of the network protection management group is a standby state, the managed request is discarded. That is, in the case where the operating state of the network protection management group is the standby state, the queuing request is not processed.
For example, in a case where the network protection management module is disposed inside the network device, a network protection management group managed by the network protection management module may be as shown in table one below.
Figure BDA0003239615320000051
Watch 1
In table one, the primary links used by the network protection modules in different network protection management groups are different, and the primary links used by the network protection modules in the same network protection management group are the same. Moreover, the network protection mechanisms configured by the network protection modules in the same network protection management group may be the same or different.
For different network protection management groups, the network protection management modules may be associated with the same link detection module or different link detection modules.
Specifically, in step S13, when the network protection management module controls all network protection modules in the network protection management group to switch to their respective standby links for operation, the following steps may be implemented:
in a first mode, the network protection management module sends a link switching message to all network protection modules in the network protection management group, so that all network protection modules switch to their respective standby links to operate according to the link switching message.
In the first manner, for all network protection modules, when receiving the link switching message, the corresponding forwarding table for forwarding the service packet may be modified to implement switching to respective standby links for working. And after the relevant modification operation is executed, the respective working state is changed from the active state to the standby state. That is, the first way is to perform the relevant link switching operation by each network protection module in the network protection management group separately.
In the second mode, under the condition that the managed requests sent by all the network protection modules also carry the backup link information of the backup links used by the network protection modules, the corresponding forwarding tables for forwarding the service messages are modified according to the backup link information of all the network protection modules, so that all the network protection modules are switched to the respective backup links to work.
That is, the second method is to directly perform the switching operation of the backup links used by all the network protection modules by the network protection management module.
Further, in this embodiment of the present application, in order to facilitate management of the network protection module in the network device, the network protection management module may further perform the following operations:
after all network protection modules in the network protection management group are controlled to be switched to respective standby links for working, the working state of the network protection management group is changed from a main state to a standby state, and a timer is started;
if a release request which is sent by any network protection module in all the network protection modules and is used for requesting the protected management module to release management is received within the time length of the timer, deleting the network protection module from the network protection management group, wherein the release request is sent by the network protection module when a second fault notification message which is sent by a second link detection module associated with the network protection module and is used for notifying a main link of fault is received;
if it is determined that the undeleted network protection module exists in the network protection management group after the time length of the timer is reached, sending a release message for notifying the undeleted network protection module to be released from management, and deleting the undeleted network protection module from the network protection management group, wherein the release message is used for indicating the undeleted network protection module to change the corresponding working state from the main state to the standby state;
after deleting all the network protection modules in the network protection management group, changing the working state of the network protection management group from the standby state to the active state.
In this operation flow, the timer may be referred to as a dequeue timer, and the setting time length and the timer are set mainly to avoid that the network protection modules in the network protection management group frequently initiate a managed request (i.e., a dequeue request) and a dequeue request (which may be referred to as a dequeue request). Here, the timer duration of the timer may still be set according to the actual situation of the network to which the network device belongs.
It should be noted that, for any network protection module in the network protection management group, when initially working on the primary link, a queueing request is sent to the network protection management module, the network protection management module adds the queueing request to the network protection management group, once the network protection module receives a fault notification message sent by its associated link detection module for notifying that the primary link used by the network protection module has a fault, the network protection module sends a dequeuing request to the network protection management module, verifies its own working state, and keeps its own working state as a real working state, and then once the network protection module receives a recovery notification message sent by its associated link detection module for notifying that the primary link used by the network protection module recovers to be normal, the network protection module changes its own working state into the primary state, and sends the queueing request to the network protection management module after waiting for the set time.
Here, the link detection module associated with the network protection module still uses the original detection mechanism to detect the active link used by the network protection module, and the time when the active link fails is detected is usually later than the time when the link detection module associated with the network protection management group where the network protection module is located detects the active link failure.
In addition, for the network protection management module, after the network protection management group where the network protection module is located is created for the first time, the working state of the network protection management group is set to be the active state, and after the network protection module in the network protection management group where the network protection module is located is added, once a fault notification message for notifying that the active link fails, which is sent by a link detection module associated with the network protection management group, is received, all network protection modules in the network protection management group are controlled to be switched to respective standby links to work, and then the operation flow is executed.
It can be seen from the foregoing technical solutions that, in the embodiment of the present application, a network protection management module is added in a network using different network bearer technologies, and is responsible for adding a network protection module, which is the same as a primary link and used in any network device in which multiple network protection modules are deployed, to a network protection management group, and detecting whether the primary link fails through a link detection module associated with the network protection management group, and when a failure notification message sent by the link detection module is received, uniformly controlling all network protection modules in the network protection management group to switch to respective standby links for operation. The network protection mode can greatly save the switching time of the protection link, not only improves the link switching efficiency, but also improves the network experience.

and sending a link switching message to all the network protection modules in the network protection management group so that all the network protection modules are switched to respective standby links to work according to the link switching message.

if a release request which is sent by any network protection module of all the network protection modules and used for requesting to be released from management by the protection management module is received within the time length of a timer, deleting the network protection module from the network protection management group, wherein the release request is sent by the network protection module when a second fault notification message which is sent by a second link detection module associated with the network protection module and used for notifying the primary link of the fault is received;
if it is determined that an undeleted network protection module exists in the network protection management group after the time length of the timer is reached, sending a release message for notifying the undeleted network protection module of the management release, and deleting the undeleted network protection module from the network protection management group, wherein the release message is used for indicating the undeleted network protection module to change the corresponding working state from the main state to the standby state;
and after deleting all the network protection modules in the network protection management group, changing the working state of the network protection management group from a standby state to a main state.
Preferably, the network protection management module is disposed inside the network device or inside a network management platform in a network to which the network device belongs.
It can be seen from the foregoing technical solutions that, in the embodiment of the present application, a network protection management module is added in a network using different network bearer technologies, and is responsible for adding a network protection module, which is the same as a primary link used in any network device in the network and in which multiple network protection modules are deployed, to a network protection management group, and detecting whether the primary link fails through a link detection module associated with the network protection management group, and when receiving a failure notification message sent by the link detection module, uniformly controlling all network protection modules in the network protection management group to switch to respective standby links for working.
