The first device 102 and the second device 104 each support multiple charging protocols, and the first device 102 and the second device 104 may select a charging protocol supported by both from the multiple charging protocols supported by themselves for charging. Optionally, the power supply device may be a charger, a charging head, a charger, an adapter, or the like, and the charging device may be a mobile phone, a tablet computer, a watch, or various other terminals.
FIG. 2 is a flow diagram of a method for determining a charging protocol in one embodiment. The method for determining the charging protocol in this embodiment is described by taking the first device operating in fig. 1 as an example. As shown in fig. 2, the method for determining the charging protocol includes:
s201, receiving charging protocol information sent by second equipment; the charging protocol information includes an identification of at least two charging protocols supported by the second device.
The identifier of the at least two charging protocols supported by the second device may be a name of the charging protocol supported by the second device, may also be an encoding of the charging protocol supported by the second device, or may also be a manufacturer name of a vendor to which the charging protocol supported by the second device belongs, and the like, which is not limited in the embodiment of the present application. In this embodiment, after the first device and the second device establish the communication connection, the second device may send charging protocol information including the identifiers of at least two charging protocols supported by the second device to the first device. For example, the charging protocol supported by the second device includes three protocols, namely a charging protocol a, a charging protocol B, and a charging protocol C, and the second device carries the identifier of the charging protocol a, the identifier of the charging protocol B, and the identifier of the charging protocol C in the charging protocol information and sends the charging protocol information to the first device. It should be noted that the at least two charging protocols supported by the second device may be charging protocols owned by different manufacturers, and may also be charging protocols corresponding to different charging powers. Optionally, the first device may be a charging device, and the second device is a power supply device, or the first device is a power supply device, and the second device is a charging device.
S202, determining a target charging protocol based on at least two charging protocols supported by the second device and the charging protocol supported by the first device.
In this embodiment, after receiving the charging protocol information sent by the second device, the first device may determine one of the charging protocols commonly supported by the first device and the second device as the target charging protocol, that is, determine one of the at least two charging protocols supported by the second device and the same multiple charging protocols among the charging protocols supported by the first device as the target charging protocol. Alternatively, multiple charging protocols commonly supported by the first device and the second device may be determined, and then one of the charging protocols may be selected as the target charging protocol according to some selection mechanism, for example, the target charging protocol may be determined according to a priority order of the commonly supported charging protocols, or the target charging protocol may be determined according to a rated power of the commonly supported charging protocols, and so on.
For example, continuing to explain by taking the example that the charging protocol supported by the second device includes three protocols, namely a charging protocol a, a charging protocol B, and a charging protocol C, and the charging protocol supported by the first device includes the charging protocol a and the charging protocol C, after receiving the charging protocol information sent by the second device, the first device determines that the charging protocol a and the charging protocol C are the charging protocols supported by both of them, and then determines a target charging protocol from the protocols a and C, and optionally, the target charging protocol determined by the first device may be the protocol a or the protocol C. It may be understood that the target charging protocol determined by the first device may be a charging protocol with the highest priority in the charging protocols supported by the first device and the second device, or may also be a charging protocol with the highest charging power in the charging protocols supported by the first device and the second device, which is not limited in the embodiment of the present application.
And S203, sending the identifier of the target charging protocol to the second equipment.
In this embodiment, after determining the target charging protocol, the first device sends the identifier of the target charging protocol to the second device, and continues to explain, taking as an example that the charging protocol supported by the second device includes three protocols, namely protocol a, protocol B, and protocol C, and the charging protocol supported by the second device includes protocol a and protocol C, and if the target charging protocol determined by the first device is protocol a, the first device sends the identifier of protocol a to the second device; and if the target charging protocol determined by the first equipment is the protocol C, the first equipment sends the identifier of the protocol C to the second equipment.
After the second device receives the identification of the target charging protocol, the first device performs a charging process with the second device based on the target charging protocol. For example, if the first device is a power supply device and the second device is a charging device, the first device charges the second device according to the target charging protocol, and if the first device is a charging device and the second device is a power supply device, the second device charges the first device according to the target charging protocol.
In this embodiment, under the condition that the first device and the second device both support multiple charging protocols, the first device receives charging protocol information sent by the second device, where the charging protocol information includes identifiers of at least two charging protocols supported by the second device, which is equivalent to that the second device sends multiple charging protocols to the first device at one time, and the first device can directly determine a target charging protocol based on the multiple charging protocols supported by the second device and the charging protocols supported by the first device, so that a process of selecting a charging protocol for multiple times is avoided, thereby shortening time for selecting a charging protocol by the first charging device, and reducing interaction time before charging the first device and the second device.
In the scenario of determining the target charging protocol based on at least two charging protocols supported by the second device and a charging protocol supported by the first device, when the first device and the second device both support multiple charging protocols, a situation may occur in which the first device determines multiple commonly-supported charging protocols based on at least two charging protocols supported by the second device and a charging protocol supported by the first device.
In the present embodiment, after determining the target charging protocol, the first device performs a charging process with the second device based on the target charging protocol. The charging process is that the power supply equipment supplies power to the charging equipment according to a target charging protocol. The charging protocol may specify authentication, communication timing, message format, packet format, charging exception handling, etc. between the power supply device and the charging device. For example, in the process that the power supply device and the charging device perform charging according to the target charging protocol, the power supply device may send the voltage/current information that can be provided by the power supply device to the charging device according to the target charging protocol in a message format of a response, the charging device selects a voltage/current according to its own requirements and then sends feedback information to the power supply device, and the power supply device outputs a charging voltage/current according to the voltage/current to charge the charging device.
In this embodiment, the target charging protocol is one of the charging protocols supported by both the second device and the first device, that is, any one of the charging protocols supported by both the second device and the first device is determined as the target charging protocol. Optionally, the charging protocol supported by both the second device and the first device may be a charging protocol with the same identifier, may also be a charging protocol with the same charging power, or may also be a charging protocol with the same charging current, and so on, which is not limited in this embodiment of the application. For example, the charging protocol supported by the second device includes a charging protocol a, a charging protocol B, and a charging protocol C, and the charging protocol supported by the first device includes a charging protocol a and a charging protocol C, where the charging protocol a supported by the second device and the charging protocol a supported by the first device have the same protocol identifier, and the charging protocol C supported by the second device and the charging protocol C supported by the first device have the same protocol identifier, then the first device determines the charging protocol a and the charging protocol C as the charging protocols supported by both the second device and the first device. Further, optionally, the first device may determine, according to the priority of the charging protocols supported by both the second device and the first device, one charging protocol from the charging protocols supported by both the second device and the first device as the target charging protocol, or may determine, according to the charging power of the charging protocols supported by both the second device and the first device, one charging protocol from the charging protocols supported by both the second device and the first device as the target charging protocol. For example, if the priority of charging protocol a is greater than the priority of charging protocol C, the first device determines charging protocol a as the target charging protocol. Or, if the charging power of the charging protocol a is greater than that of the charging protocol C, the first device determines that the charging protocol a is the target charging protocol.
In this embodiment, the target charging protocol is one of the charging protocols supported by both the second device and the first device, and the reliability of determining the target charging protocol is improved by determining one of the charging protocols supported by both the second device and the first device as the target charging protocol.
In the above scenario of determining the target charging protocol based on at least two charging protocols supported by the second device and the charging protocol supported by the first device, the charging protocols supported by the second device and the first device include two or more charging protocols, the first device may determine the target charging protocol based on the priorities of the two or more charging protocols supported by the second device and the first device, or may determine the target charging protocol based on the charging powers of the two or more charging protocols supported by the second device and the first device, and the following will describe in detail the process of determining the target charging protocol based on the two or more charging protocols supported by the second device and the first device, respectively, of the first device:
first, if the charging protocols supported by both the second device and the first device include two or more charging protocols, the charging protocol with the highest priority among the two or more charging protocols is determined as the target charging protocol.
In this embodiment, if the first device determines that the charging protocols supported by the second device and the first device both include two or more charging protocols, the first device determines the target charging protocol according to the priority of the charging protocols supported by the second device and the first device, that is, the first device determines, as the target charging protocol, the charging protocol with the highest priority among the two or more charging protocols supported by the second device and the first device. Continuing to use the charging protocol supported by the second device includes a charging protocol a, a charging protocol B, and a charging protocol C, and taking the charging protocol supported by the first device includes the charging protocol a and the charging protocol C as an example, in this scenario, the charging protocols supported by the second device and the first device are the charging protocol a and the charging protocol C, and if the priority of the charging protocol is charging protocol a > charging protocol C, the first device determines that the charging protocol a is the target charging protocol.
In this embodiment, the process of determining, by the first device, the charging protocol with the highest priority as the target charging protocol in the two or more charging protocols supported by the second device and the first device is very simple, so that the time for the first device to select the charging protocol is shortened, and the selected target charging protocol is better.
Second, if the charging protocols supported by both the second device and the first device include two or more charging protocols, the charging protocol with the highest charging power among the two or more charging protocols is determined as the target charging protocol:
in this embodiment, if the first device determines that the charging protocols supported by the second device and the first device include two or more charging protocols, the first device determines the target charging protocol according to the charging power of the charging protocols supported by the second device and the first device, that is, the first device determines, as the target charging protocol, the charging protocol with the highest charging power in the two or more charging protocols supported by the second device and the first device. Continuing to take the example that the charging protocol supported by the second device includes charging protocol a, charging protocol B, and charging protocol C, and the charging protocol supported by the first device includes charging protocol a and charging protocol C, in this scenario, the charging protocols supported by the second device and the first device are charging protocol a and charging protocol C, and if the charging power of charging protocol C is greater than that of charging protocol a, the first device determines that charging protocol C is the target charging protocol.
In order to reduce signaling of the charging protocol information sent by the second device to the first device, in the scenario of the charging protocol information sent by the second device to the first device, the charging protocol information sent by the second device may include charging power of each charging protocol supported by the second device, or may include a level of the charging power of each charging protocol supported by the second device.
In this embodiment, the process of determining, by the first device, the charging protocol with the highest charging power as the target charging protocol in the two or more charging protocols supported by the second device and the first device is very simple, so that the time for selecting the charging protocol by the first device is shortened.
If the charging protocol supported by both the second device and the first device includes two or more charging protocols, the first device will use two or more charging protocols that are supported by both the second device and the first device, in a scenario where the charging protocol with the highest charging power is determined as the target charging protocol, the charging protocols supported by both the second device and the first device may include a first candidate protocol and a second candidate protocol, wherein the first candidate protocol and the second candidate protocol are charging protocols owned by different vendors, then in this scenario, in one embodiment, if the charging protocols supported by both the second device and the first device include a first candidate protocol and a second candidate protocol, and if the charging power of the second candidate protocol is greater than the sum of the charging power of the first candidate protocol and a preset power increment, determining the second candidate protocol as the target charging protocol.
In this embodiment, the first candidate protocol and the second candidate protocol are protocols owned by different vendors, for example, the first candidate protocol may be a protocol owned by a first vendor, the second candidate protocol may be a protocol owned by a second vendor, and when the first candidate protocol is an own protocol of an operator, in this scenario, in order to more flexibly determine the target charging protocol, the first device may sum the charging power of the first candidate protocol with a preset power increment to obtain a corrected power of the first candidate protocol, for example, the preset power increment may be 20, the first device may sum the charging power of the first candidate protocol with 20 to obtain a corrected power of the first candidate protocol, compare the charging power of the second candidate protocol with the corrected power of the first candidate protocol, and if the first device determines that the charging power of the second candidate protocol is greater than the corrected power of the first candidate protocol, the first device determines the second candidate protocol as the target charging protocol. It is understood that, in this embodiment, the charging power of the first candidate protocol is the corrected power, in this case, if the charging power of the second candidate protocol is still greater than the corrected power of the first candidate protocol, it is indicated that the charging power of the second candidate protocol is the maximum power, so that the second candidate protocol is determined as the target charging protocol, and the accuracy of the determined target charging protocol is ensured.
In this embodiment, if the charging protocols supported by the second device and the second device include a first candidate protocol and a second candidate protocol, and the charging power of the second candidate protocol is greater than the sum of the charging power of the first candidate protocol and a preset power increment, the first device determines the second candidate protocol as the target charging protocol, so that the scene adaptability of the protocol selection method is more flexible.
In a third scenario, if the charging protocols supported by the second device and the first device include two or more than two types, the first device may determine the target charging protocol by using the following two methods, and the following two methods for determining the target charging protocol are described separately:
the method A comprises the following steps: if the charging protocols supported by the second equipment and the first equipment comprise two or more than two types, determining a third candidate charging protocol with the highest priority in the two or more than two types of charging protocols as a target charging protocol; the third candidate charging protocol is a preset number of charging protocols determined from two or more charging protocols in order of the charging power from large to small.
In this embodiment, if the first device determines that the charging protocols supported by the second device and the first device both include two or more charging protocols, and after receiving the charging protocol information sent by the second device, the first device determines, according to the charging power of the charging protocol supported by the second device in the charging protocol information, a preset number of charging protocols from among the two or more charging protocols supported by the second device and the first device in an order from a large charging power to a small charging power, for example, the two or more charging protocols supported by the second device and the first device are charging protocol a, charging protocol C, and charging protocol D, the first device determines, as a third candidate charging protocol, charging protocol a and charging protocol C when receiving the charging protocol information sent by the second device, that the power of charging protocol a is 50W, that the power of charging protocol C is 20W, and that the power of charging protocol D is 10W, and determining the third candidate charging protocol with the highest priority as the target charging protocol. For example, if the determined third candidate charging protocol is charging protocol C and charging protocol D, and the priority of charging protocol C is higher than that of charging protocol D, the first device determines charging protocol C as the target charging protocol, and if the determined third candidate charging protocol is charging protocol a, charging protocol C, and charging protocol D, and the priority of charging protocol a is higher than that of charging protocol C, and the priority of charging protocol C is higher than that of charging protocol D, the first device may determine charging protocol a as the target charging protocol.
In this embodiment, the first device can quickly sequence the charging protocols supported by the second device and the first device according to the charging power of the charging protocols supported by the second device and the first device, and quickly determine a preset number of third candidate charging protocols from the charging protocols, so that the first device can quickly determine the third candidate charging protocol with the highest priority as the target charging protocol.
The method B comprises the following steps: if the charging protocols supported by the second equipment and the first equipment comprise two or more than two types, determining a fourth candidate charging protocol with the highest charging power in the two or more than two types of charging protocols as a target charging protocol; the fourth candidate charging protocol is a preset number of charging protocols determined from two or more charging protocols in order of priority from high to low.
In this embodiment, if the first device determines that the charging protocols supported by the second device and the first device include two or more charging protocols, and after receiving the charging protocol information sent by the second device, the first device determines, according to the priority of the charging protocol supported by the second device in the charging protocol information, a preset number of charging protocols from among the two or more charging protocols supported by the second device and the first device in order of priority from high to low, for example, the two or more charging protocols supported by the second device and the first device are charging protocol a, charging protocol C, and charging protocol D, and the first device receives that the priority of charging protocol a is higher than the priority of charging protocol C and the priority of charging protocol C is higher than the priority of charging protocol D in the charging protocol information sent by the second device, determines, as a fourth candidate charging protocol, charging protocol a and charging protocol C by the first device, and determining a fourth candidate charging protocol with the highest charging power as the target charging protocol. For example, if the determined fourth candidate charging protocol is charging protocol C and charging protocol D, and the charging power of charging protocol C is greater than the charging power of charging protocol D, the first device determines charging protocol C as the target charging protocol, and if the determined fourth candidate charging protocol is charging protocol a, charging protocol C, and charging protocol D, and the charging power of charging protocol a is greater than the charging power of charging protocol C, and the charging power of charging protocol C is greater than the charging power of charging protocol D, the first device may determine charging protocol a as the target charging protocol.
In this embodiment, the first device can quickly sequence the charging protocols supported by the second device and the first device according to the priorities of the charging protocols supported by the second device and the first device, and quickly determine the preset number of fourth candidate charging protocols from the priority sequence, so that the first device can quickly determine the fourth candidate charging protocol with the largest charging power as the target charging protocol.
In a scenario that the first device receives the charging protocol information sent by the second device, a communication connection needs to be established in advance between the first device and the second device, in an embodiment, the method further includes: and establishing a communication connection with the second equipment based on a preset standard communication protocol.
The preset standard communication protocol may be a communication protocol supported by both the first device and the second device, or may be a charging protocol supported by both the first device and the second device. Optionally, the first device sends a handshake request to the second device, and after receiving the handshake request of the first device, the second device sends a response message to the first device to establish a communication connection with the second device. Or the second device sends a handshake request to the first device, and the first device sends a response message to the second device after receiving the handshake request sent by the second device, so as to establish a communication connection with the first device. Optionally, the target charging protocol may be the preset standard communication protocol. It is to be understood that, the first device and the second device may communicate based on a preset standard communication protocol, which is described as supporting communication of the first device and the second device charging device, and the preset standard communication protocol may be directly used as the target charging protocol.
In this embodiment, the first device establishes a communication connection with the second device based on a preset standard communication protocol, which is very simple, and can quickly establish a communication connection between the first device and the second device, so as to facilitate a subsequent negotiation between the first device and the second device for a charging protocol.
To facilitate understanding by those skilled in the art, the following detailed description is provided for a determination method of a charging protocol in conjunction with a complete embodiment:
and S1, establishing a communication connection with the second device based on a preset standard communication protocol.
S2, receiving the charging protocol information sent by the second equipment; the charging protocol information includes an identification of at least two charging protocols supported by the second device.

Fig. 3 is a flow diagram of a method for determining a charging protocol in one embodiment. The method for determining the charging protocol in this embodiment is described by taking the first device operating in fig. 1 as an example. As shown in fig. 3, the method for determining the charging protocol includes:
s301, sending charging protocol information to the second equipment; the charging protocol information includes an identification of at least two charging protocols supported by the first device.
The identifier of the at least two charging protocols supported by the first device may be a name of the charging protocol supported by the first device, an encoding of the charging protocol supported by the first device, or a manufacturer name of a vendor to which the charging protocol supported by the first device belongs, and the like, which is not limited in the embodiment of the present application. In this embodiment, after the first device and the second device establish the communication connection, the first device may send charging protocol information including the identifiers of at least two charging protocols supported by the first device to the second device. For example, the charging protocol supported by the first device includes three protocols, namely a charging protocol a, a charging protocol B, and a charging protocol C, and the first device carries the identifier of the charging protocol a, the identifier of the charging protocol B, and the identifier of the charging protocol C in the charging protocol information and sends the charging protocol information to the second device. It should be noted that the at least two charging protocols supported by the first device may be charging protocols owned by different manufacturers, and may also be charging protocols corresponding to different charging powers. Optionally, the first device may be a charging device, and the second device is a power supply device, or the first device is a power supply device, and the second device is a charging device.
S302, receiving an identifier of a target charging protocol sent by second equipment; the target charging protocol is determined for the second device based on at least two charging protocols supported by the first device and the charging protocol supported by the second device.
In this embodiment, after determining the target charging protocol, the second device sends an identifier of the target charging protocol to the first device, and the first device receives the identifier of the target charging protocol sent by the second device, where the identifier of the target charging protocol is determined by the second device based on at least two charging protocols supported by the first device and a charging protocol supported by the second device. Continuing to explain by taking the example that the charging protocol supported by the first device includes three protocols, namely a protocol A, a protocol B and a protocol C, and the charging protocol supported by the second device includes a protocol A and a protocol C, if the target charging protocol determined by the second device is the protocol A, the second device sends the identifier of the protocol A to the first device, and the first device receives the identifier of the protocol A sent by the second device; and if the target charging protocol determined by the second equipment is the protocol C, the second equipment sends the identifier of the protocol C to the first equipment, and the first equipment receives the identifier of the protocol C sent by the second equipment.
Optionally, after receiving the charging protocol information sent by the first device, the second device may determine one of the charging protocols supported by the first device and the second device as the target charging protocol, that is, the second device may determine one of the charging protocols, which is the same multiple charging protocols among the at least two charging protocols supported by the first device and the charging protocol supported by the second device, as the target charging protocol. Alternatively, the second device may determine a plurality of charging protocols commonly supported by the first device and the second device, and then select one of the charging protocols as the target charging protocol according to some selection mechanism, for example, the second device may determine the target charging protocols according to the priority order of the commonly supported charging protocols, or the second device may determine the target charging protocols according to the rated power of the commonly supported charging protocols, and so on. Optionally, as a manner that can be implemented, if the charging protocols supported by both the second device and the first device include two or more charging protocols, the second device determines, as the target charging protocol, a charging protocol with the highest priority in the two or more charging protocols. Or if the charging protocols supported by the second device and the first device include two or more charging protocols, the second device determines the charging protocol with the highest charging power in the two or more charging protocols as the target charging protocol; further, if the charging protocols supported by both the second device and the first device include a first candidate protocol and a second candidate protocol, and the charging power of the second candidate protocol is greater than the sum of the charging power of the first candidate protocol and the preset power increment, the second device may determine the second candidate protocol as the target charging protocol. Or, if the charging protocols supported by the second device and the first device include two or more charging protocols, the second device may determine a third candidate charging protocol with a highest priority in the two or more charging protocols as the target charging protocol; the third candidate charging protocol is a preset number of charging protocols determined from the two or more charging protocols according to the sequence of charging power from large to small. Or, if the charging protocols supported by both the second device and the first device include two or more charging protocols, the second device may determine, as the target charging protocol, a fourth candidate charging protocol with the highest charging power among the two or more charging protocols; the fourth candidate charging protocol is a preset number of charging protocols determined from the two or more charging protocols according to the priority from high to low.
After the first device receives the identification of the target charging protocol, the first device performs a charging process with the second device based on the target charging protocol. For example, if the first device is a power supply device and the second device is a charging device, the first device charges the second device according to the target charging protocol, and if the first device is a charging device and the second device is a power supply device, the second device charges the first device according to the target charging protocol.
In this embodiment, under the condition that the first device and the second device both support multiple charging protocols, the first device sends charging protocol information to the second device, where the charging protocol information includes identifiers of at least two charging protocols supported by the first device, which is equivalent to that the first device sends multiple charging protocols to the second device at one time, and the second device can directly determine a target charging protocol based on the multiple charging protocols supported by the first device and the charging protocols supported by the second device, so that a process of selecting a charging protocol for multiple times is avoided, time for selecting a charging protocol by the second charging device is shortened, and interaction time before charging the first device and the second device is reduced.
In the scenario that the first device sends the charging protocol information to the second device, a communication connection needs to be established in advance between the first device and the second device, and in an embodiment, the method further includes: and establishing a communication connection with the second equipment based on a preset standard communication protocol.
It is to be understood that, if the first device and the second device can communicate based on a preset standard communication protocol, which is described as supporting the communication of the first device and the second device charging device, the target charging protocol may be directly used as the preset standard communication protocol.
In this embodiment, the first device establishes a communication connection with the second device based on a preset standard communication protocol, which is very simple, and can quickly establish a communication connection between the first device and the second device, so as to facilitate a subsequent negotiation between the first device and the second device for a charging protocol.
