Note that the embodiments may be implemented in a plurality of different forms. Those skilled in the art can readily appreciate the fact that the forms and details may be varied into a variety of forms without departing from the spirit and scope of the present disclosure. Therefore, the present disclosure should not be construed as being limited to the contents described in the following embodiments. The embodiments and features of the embodiments in the present disclosure may be arbitrarily combined with each other without conflict.
The ordinal numbers such as "first", "second", "third", and the like in the present specification are provided for avoiding confusion among the constituent elements, and are not limited in number.
As shown in fig. 1, an embodiment of the present disclosure provides a method for improving screen flicker, including:
step S10, detecting the target refresh rate and the current refresh rate of the display panel;
step S20, when the target refresh rate is different from the current refresh rate, inquiring a common voltage storage table according to the target refresh rate to obtain a common voltage adjustment amount corresponding to the target refresh rate, and taking the sum of a common voltage reference value corresponding to a reference refresh rate of the display panel and the common voltage adjustment amount corresponding to the target refresh rate as a common voltage value corresponding to the target refresh rate;
step S30, updating the voltage value of the driving signal of the common electrode of the display panel according to the common voltage value corresponding to the target refresh rate;
the common voltage storage value table stores common voltage adjustment values corresponding to a plurality of refresh rates; the common voltage regulating quantity corresponding to any one refresh rate is the voltage difference between the optimal common voltage value matched with the refresh rate and the common voltage reference value corresponding to the reference refresh rate.
The method for improving screen flicker provided in the foregoing embodiment detects a target refresh rate and a current refresh rate of a display panel in real time, when the target refresh rate is different from the current refresh rate, queries a common voltage storage table according to the target refresh rate to obtain a common voltage adjustment amount corresponding to the target refresh rate, uses a sum of a common voltage reference value corresponding to a reference refresh rate of the display panel and the common voltage adjustment amount corresponding to the target refresh rate as a common voltage value corresponding to the target refresh rate, and updates a voltage value of a driving signal of a common electrode of the display panel according to the common voltage value corresponding to the target refresh rate. According to the method for improving the screen flicker, when the refresh rate of the display panel is changed, the voltage value of the common electrode of the display panel is updated in time, so that the situation that the refresh rate is not matched with the common voltage value can be avoided, and the screen flicker caused by the change of the screen refresh rate is reduced.
The refresh rate indicates how many times the image of the screen is redrawn per second, i.e., the number of screen refreshes per second, in Hz (hertz). The reference refresh rate is a default refresh rate of the system, and the other refresh rates except the reference refresh rate are non-reference refresh rates. For example, when the reference refresh rate is 75Hz, the refresh rates of other frequency values than 75Hz are all non-reference refresh rates, such as 120Hz and 60Hz are all non-reference refresh rates.
An example of a common voltage stored value table is given in table 1 below. In this example, there are a total of N +1 refresh rates and N +1 values of the common voltage adjustment. Reference refresh rate of f0The N non-reference refresh rates are: f. of1To fN. Reference refresh rate f0The value of the corresponding public voltage regulating quantity is 0; the value of the common voltage regulating quantity corresponding to the ith non-reference refresh rate is delta Ui,ΔUi=Ui-U0;UiIs the optimum common voltage value, U, for the ith non-reference refresh rate match0Is a common voltage reference value, i is more than or equal to 1 and less than or equal to N.

According to the method for improving the screen flicker provided by the embodiment, the public voltage regulating quantity corresponding to the refresh rate is stored in the public voltage stored value table instead of the best public voltage value matched with the refresh rate, so that the influence of individual difference of the public voltage reference value (the public voltage reference value of different individuals of the display panels produced in batch can be different) on various data in the public voltage stored value table can be eliminated, and the universality of the public voltage stored value table is improved.
In some exemplary embodiments, the detecting the target refresh rate and the current refresh rate of the display panel includes:
detecting a time interval t1 between a frame start signal STV of a next frame and a frame start signal of a current frame, taking the time interval t1 as a period of a target frame start signal, and determining a frequency f1 of the target frame start signal according to the period of the target frame start signal: f1 is 1/t 1; taking the frequency of the target frame starting signal as a target refresh rate of the display panel;
determining a time interval t0 between a frame start signal of a current frame and a frame start signal of a previous frame, taking the time interval t0 as a period of the current frame start signal, and determining a frequency f0 of the current frame start signal according to the period of the current frame start signal: f0 is 1/t 0; and taking the frequency of the current frame starting signal as the current refresh rate of the display panel.
The frame start signal is a trigger signal for indicating the start of a frame. The frequency value of the frame start signal may be taken as the frequency value of the refresh rate of the display panel. In the above embodiment, by detecting the period T of the frame start signal, the frequency f of the frame start signal can be indirectly obtained, and f is 1/T. In other embodiments, other signals may be used as the signal indicative of the screen refresh rate.
In some exemplary embodiments, the method further comprises: and when the target refresh rate is the same as the current refresh rate, keeping the voltage value of the driving signal of the common electrode of the display panel unchanged.
In some exemplary embodiments, after updating the voltage value of the driving signal of the common electrode of the display panel according to the common voltage value corresponding to the target refresh rate, the method further includes:
and storing the updated voltage value of the driving signal of the common electrode of the display panel.
The reference refresh rate and the common voltage reference value may be system default parameters, and are generally set and stored in the system before factory shipment.
As shown in fig. 2, in some exemplary embodiments, the method for improving screen flickering may include the steps of:
step S101, collecting frame starting signals of a 1 st frame and a 2 nd frame;
in the first frame and the second frame, the voltage value of the driving signal of the common electrode of the display panel may be set to a system default value, such as a common voltage reference value corresponding to a reference refresh rate, or a voltage value of the driving signal of the common electrode of the display panel that is saved before the system is powered off last time;
step S102, setting an initial value of a first time interval t0, an initial value of t0 may be set as a time interval between frame start signals of a 1 st frame and a 2 nd frame;
step S103, collecting a frame starting signal of the next frame;
wherein if the current frame is the ith frame and i is greater than or equal to 2, the next frame is the (i + 1) th frame;
step S104, setting a second time interval t1, wherein t1 is the time interval between the frame start signal of the next frame and the frame start signal of the current frame;
step S105, judging whether the first time interval t0 and the second time interval t1 are equal, if so, executing step S106, and if not, executing step S107;
step S106, keeping the voltage value of the driving signal of the common electrode of the display panel unchanged, and turning to step S111;
step S107, determining a target refresh rate f1 of the display panel according to the second time interval t1, wherein f1 is 1/t 1;
step S108, inquiring a common voltage storage value table according to the target refresh rate f1 to obtain a common voltage regulating quantity delta u corresponding to the target refresh rate;
step S109, converting the common voltage reference value V corresponding to the reference refresh rate of the display panelrefThe sum of the common voltage adjustment amount Δ u corresponding to the target refresh rate is taken as the common voltage value V1 corresponding to the target refresh rate: v1 ═ Vref+Δu;
Step S110, updating the voltage value of the driving signal of the common electrode of the display panel according to the common voltage value V1 corresponding to the target refresh rate, and storing the updated voltage value of the driving signal of the common electrode of the display panel;
step S111, updating the value of the first time interval t0, setting the value of t0 as the value of the second time interval t1, and returning to step S103.
In some exemplary embodiments, updating a voltage value of a driving signal of a common electrode of the display panel according to a common voltage value corresponding to the target refresh rate includes: and updating the voltage value of the driving signal of the common electrode of the display panel in the blanking period of the current frame of the display panel.
The public voltage value is updated in the blanking period of the display panel, and the influence of the change of the public voltage value on the data display of the display panel can be reduced by utilizing the characteristic that no effective data signal exists in the blanking period.
In some exemplary embodiments, the method for improving screen flickering further includes:
determining a reference refresh rate and N non-reference refresh rates to be tested; n is greater than or equal to 1;
establishing and storing a common voltage storage value table; wherein the common voltage storage table comprises N +1 records, and the 1 st record is used for storing the frequency value f of the reference refresh rate0And the corresponding common voltage regulating quantity 0, the (i + 1) th record is used for storing the frequency value f of the ith non-reference refresh rate to be measurediAnd a corresponding common voltage adjustment Δ Vi

Generating the (i + 1) th record of the common voltage storage table, wherein the (i + 1) th record is used for recording the ith non-reference refresh rate f to be testediAnd the corresponding common voltage adjustment amount Δ Vi(ii) a I is more than or equal to 1 and less than or equal to N, and j is more than or equal to 1 and less than or equal to M; m is greater than 1;
wherein the 1 st record of the common voltage storage table stores a frequency value f of a reference refresh rate0And a corresponding common voltage adjustment amount of 0.
The corresponding relation between the refresh rate and the common voltage of the display panel can be tested before the display panel leaves a factory, and a common voltage storage table is established and stored in a system. During batch production, different individuals in the same batch of display panels may have differences in the common voltage reference value under the same reference refresh rate, but it is impossible to test the corresponding relationship between the refresh rate and the common voltage value for each display panel under the batch production condition, and by testing samples in the same batch of display panels, the voltage offset of the common voltage value corresponding to all non-reference refresh rates relative to the common voltage reference value corresponding to the reference refresh rate is obtained, and even if the common voltage reference values of different individuals in the same batch of display panels have differences, the voltage offset as a difference value is not affected by the change of the common voltage reference value, so that all individuals in the same batch of display panels can directly use the common voltage stored value table obtained by the sample test. Therefore, the method for improving the screen flicker can meet the production requirement of mass production, and the universality of the common voltage storage table is improved.
In batch production, the same batch of display panels may be: a small panel cut from a large panel of the same large glass pair box. The same batch of display panels may also be: and a small panel is formed by cutting a plurality of large panels formed by a plurality of large glass paired boxes produced under the same process conditions. In mass production, the same batch of display panels has the same or similar material and electrical properties. In order to ensure the accuracy of the test, a certain number of samples are required, for example, more than or equal to 1000 display panels may be selected for the test, so as to obtain the corresponding relationship between the refresh rate and the common voltage value. In batch production, the data of a plurality of samples (for example, M samples) of the same batch of display panels are tested, and then the data of the M samples are averaged, so that the test data of the samples can be more accurate.
