Detailed Description
The technical solutions in the embodiments of the present application will be described clearly below with reference to the drawings in the embodiments of the present application, and it is obvious that the described embodiments are some, but not all, embodiments of the present application. All other embodiments that can be derived by one of ordinary skill in the art from the embodiments given herein are intended to be within the scope of the present disclosure.
The terms first, second and the like in the description and in the claims of the present application are used for distinguishing between similar elements and not necessarily for describing a particular sequential or chronological order. It will be appreciated that the data so used may be interchanged under appropriate circumstances such that embodiments of the application may be practiced in sequences other than those illustrated or described herein, and that the terms "first," "second," and the like are generally used herein in a generic sense and do not limit the number of terms, e.g., the first term can be one or more than one. In addition, "and/or" in the specification and claims means at least one of connected objects, a character "/" generally means that a preceding and succeeding related objects are in an "or" relationship.
The inventor finds that, in the process of implementing the application, for an electronic device (taking a mobile phone as an example) supporting an eSIM card (Embedded-SIM card), the eSIM card is Embedded in a main board of the mobile phone and cannot be plugged, so that the effect that the electronic device can be connected with a cellular network without using a pluggable SIM card is achieved. Therefore, the inventor provides a method for managing an eSIM, which can provide a network environment for retrieving a mobile phone by using an eSIM card, so that an electronic device supporting the eSIM card can be effectively retrieved after being lost, and the retrieval reliability of the electronic device is improved.
To facilitate understanding of the method for managing an eSIM according to the embodiment of the present invention by those skilled in the art, the following terms are first explained:
eSIM card: the traditional pluggable SIM card is not used, the traditional entity SIM card is replaced by software, the eSIM card is embedded into a mobile phone mainboard and cannot be plugged, and therefore the effect that the electronic equipment can be connected with a cellular network without using the pluggable SIM card is achieved; in the factory configuration of the electronic device, the eSIM card does not store any communication number (for example, if the electronic device is a mobile phone, the communication number is a mobile phone number), and the user can freely select and switch the communication number of the operator for the eSIM through software operation.
Profile: the eSIM configuration files of the eSIM cards are different in Profile of different mobile phone numbers and are used for storing user information, authentication keys, phone books, short messages and other information associated with the mobile phone numbers, so that the eSIM cards supporting multiple cards can store profiles of multiple mobile phone numbers, and one Profile is equivalent to a software-type SIM card.
LPA (Local Profile availability, Local Profile management module): the user interface program is a user interface program specially used for operating the eSIM card, is used for interacting with the eSIM card and displaying an interactive interface, and is further used for locally managing the Profile in the eSIM card, such as activating, deactivating, starting, deleting and the like the eSIM configuration file.
PPR (Profile policy Rule ): a Profile may have policy rules that LPA, when performing operation management on the Profile, may be limited by the Profile's policy rules, which may include, but are not limited to, at least one of: profile may not be deleted, Profile may not be activated, Profile may not be closed, and Profile may not be closed after it is started.
Wherein, one Profile is activated: the method is equivalent to activating the inserted SIM card in the traditional SIM card operation;
start a Profile: the method is equivalent to starting a SIM card in the operation of the traditional SIM card for communication and/or networking;
close a Profile: the method is equivalent to the method for closing the SIM card in the traditional SIM card operation, so that the electronic equipment cannot use the SIM card for communication and networking;
delete a Profile: the operation is equivalent to the operation of pulling the SIM card out of the electronic equipment in the traditional SIM card operation.
The method for managing an eSIM according to the embodiment of the present application is described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings through specific embodiments and application scenarios thereof.
Referring to fig. 1, a flowchart of a method for managing an eSIM according to an embodiment of the present application is shown, where an execution subject of the method according to the embodiment of the present application may be an LPA, and the method specifically may include the following steps:
optionally, the target instruction is an instruction for indicating that the electronic device is lost;
the electronic device supports an eSIM card, and the electronic device is taken as a mobile phone for example to describe each embodiment.
After the mobile phone a is lost, the owner may use another mobile phone B to send a short message to the lost mobile phone a by means of a short message, or send a message to the mobile account of the lost mobile phone a to send the target instruction, such as a mobile phone loss instruction. The lost mobile phone A can analyze the mobile phone loss instruction after receiving the mobile phone loss instruction, then the analyzed mobile phone loss instruction is sent to the LPA of the eSIM of the mobile phone A, the LPA receives the mobile phone loss instruction, and a protocol supported by the LPA enables the LPA to understand that the mobile phone loss instruction is used for indicating that the mobile phone A is lost and needs to be retrieved.
optionally, the target policy rule includes: a policy for indicating that the target eSIM profile cannot be deleted and closed after the target eSIM profile is started.
After receiving the mobile phone loss instruction, the LPA may respond to the mobile phone loss instruction to automatically start a target Profile (i.e., a target eSIM configuration file) in the eSIM card chip, which is dedicated to mobile phone recovery.
Optionally, prior to step 100, the LPA may download a target Profile signed up with the operator server from the operator server; then, the LPA writes the target Profile into the eSIM chip, and the target Profile is initially in an off state.
For example, before the LPA receives the instruction of losing the mobile phone, if the mobile phone a is not lost yet, the owner turns on the mobile phone retrieving function, and may sign a target Profile for retrieving the mobile phone a with the operator on line in the mobile phone a. When signing a contract, the operator can allocate a mobile phone number to the owner, store the mobile phone number in the target Profile and be used for retrieving the mobile phone a, and the mobile phone number is not started before a mobile phone loss instruction is triggered, that is, the target Profile is not started. In addition, when signing a contract, the operator also configures a target PPR (i.e., the target policy rule) for the target Profile, where a value of the target PPR is 0x03, and is used to indicate that the target Profile in the eSIM chip of the mobile phone a cannot be deleted and closed after the target Profile is started.
Optionally, during subscription, the operator may further set a NickName of the target Profile as Find _ Phone _ Use (or other names), where the specific name of the NickName is specified in a unified manner and is specifically used for distinguishing the Profile of the common mobile Phone number (i.e., the Profile of the mobile Phone number used for normal communication).
Then in step 102, a target Profile dedicated for handset recovery can be further identified in the plurality of profiles by using the nickname as Find _ Phone _ Use. Therefore, after the mobile Phone retrieving function is started, the mobile phones of the user a and the user B are signed with the operator to obtain the nickname of the target Profile, which is the Find _ Phone _ Use.
After the subscription is completed, the mobile phone a may download the target Profile from the operator server, and write the downloaded target Profile into the chip of the eSIM card of the mobile phone a. Therefore, the target Profile stored in the eSIM chip of the mobile phone a is already configured with the nickname and the target PPR whose value is 0x03 when downloaded from the operator server.
Therefore, before the mobile Phone a is lost, after the mobile Phone retrieval function is turned on, a target Profile may be stored in the eSIM card of the mobile Phone a, and the target Profile carries a target PPR with a value of 0x03, optionally, the nickname of the target Profile is Find _ Phone _ Use, and before the mobile Phone loss instruction is responded, the target Profile is always in a closed state.
In step 102, because a plurality of profiles are stored in the eSIM chip, a target Profile may be identified from the plurality of profiles based on a value of the PPR, specifically, a Profile with a PPR content of 0x03 is identified as the target Profile, so that the target Profile is enabled according to the PPR, so that the target Profile is enabled corresponding to the SIM card, and when the mobile phone a identifies that the target Profile specially used for retrieving the mobile phone is enabled, the mobile phone a may automatically start a target cellular data network of the card corresponding to the target Profile, and then send the location information of the mobile phone a to a target server through the target cellular data network, where the target server may be, for example, a server of the mobile phone a, or a server that the owner of another mobile phone a may communicate with, and the present application is not limited thereto.
Because the PPR of the target Profile is 0x03, the target Profile cannot be deleted in the eSIM chip or closed and deactivated after being started, so that the mobile phone a can provide a network environment for retrieving the mobile phone for a long time by using the target Profile after responding to a mobile phone loss instruction, thereby improving the probability and reliability of retrieving the mobile phone.
Optionally, when the positioning information is sent, the Mobile phone a may report the current location information of the Mobile phone to the Mobile phone a server at regular intervals, and since the Mobile phone account and the IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) of the Mobile phone are bound, the owner of the Mobile phone a may obtain the positioning of the Mobile phone a from the Mobile phone a server through the Mobile phone account of the Mobile phone a, thereby effectively finding the lost Mobile phone.
In the embodiment of the present application, by configuring a target eSIM configuration file (i.e., a target Profile) specifically used for electronic device recovery, before a target instruction indicating that an electronic device is lost is responded, the target Profile is always in a closed state, and only after the target instruction is responded, the target Profile can be started, so that a cellular data network environment for recovering the electronic device is provided for the lost electronic device by using the target Profile, and the positioning information of the electronic device is continuously reported to a target server by using the network environment, so as to improve the recovery probability and the recovery reliability of the electronic device.
In the embodiment of the application, by configuring a target eSIM configuration file (i.e., a target Profile) specifically used for electronic device recovery, before a target instruction indicating that an electronic device is lost is responded, the target Profile is always in a closed state, the target Profile can be started only after the target instruction is responded, and a policy rule configured by the target Profile cannot be deleted and closed for deactivation once the target Profile is started, so that a cellular data network environment for recovering the electronic device can be provided for the lost electronic device for a long time by using the target Profile after the target instruction is responded, and the positioning information of the electronic device is continuously reported to a target server by using the network environment, so that the recovery probability and the recovery reliability of the electronic device are improved; and the strategy rule of the target Profile enables the target Profile to be incapable of being closed and deleted after being started, so that a picker of the electronic equipment cannot operate the electronic equipment to close the target Profile, and the electronic equipment can report the positioning to the target server all the time after reporting that the electronic equipment is lost, so that the owner of the electronic equipment can find the electronic equipment by utilizing the positioning in the target server.
Optionally, after step 100 and before step 102, the method according to the embodiment of the present application may further include: step 101, in response to the target instruction, identifying a target eSIM configuration file having a target name and the target policy rules from candidate eSIM configuration files stored in the eSIM chip, wherein the candidate eSIM configuration files include the target eSIM configuration file.
The target name may be identification information of Profile, or may be a nickname described in the above embodiment, and in the case that the name is a nickname, the nickname may be Find _ Phone _ Use, and the Profile with PPR content of 0x03 may be identified as the target Profile.
Because the eSIM chip can support the SIM cards of multiple operators to communicate, and each SIM card actually corresponds to one Profile, for example, the electronic device is a mobile phone supporting dual cards, candidate profiles that can be stored in the eSIM chip include Profile1 of mobile phone number 1, Profile of mobile phone number 2, and a target Profile of a corresponding target mobile phone number that is specially used for mobile phone retrieval. The mobile phone numbers corresponding to the Profile1 and the Profile2 are used for the dual-card communication of the mobile phone, the target mobile phone number of the target Profile is only used for retrieving the mobile phone, but not used for daily communication, and only after a mobile phone loss instruction is triggered, the target cellular data network corresponding to the target mobile phone number can be started to report the location of the mobile phone to the mobile phone server for retrieving the mobile phone. In addition, for example, if the electronic device supports dual-card communication, after the target Profile is started, one of the Profile1 or the Profile2 needs to be closed; of course, if the candidate Profile only includes the target Profile and another Profile for normal communication, the Profile for normal communication does not need to be closed, so that the normal communication of the mobile phone is not affected.
In the embodiment of the application, a target Profile with a target name and a target PPR can be identified from candidate profiles stored in an eSIM chip by using the Profile name and the PPR, so as to improve the identification accuracy of the target Profile, the target Profile is specially used for retrieving electronic equipment, and the target Profile can be started only when a target instruction indicating that the electronic equipment is lost is triggered, so that the problem that the performance of the electronic equipment is affected because the target Profile is started and cannot be closed and deleted all the time when the electronic equipment is not lost, that is, the target instruction is not triggered, is solved; in addition, the target Profile which is started all the time occupies one card position of the eSIM chip, so that the multi-card communication of the mobile phone is not influenced under the condition that a target instruction is not triggered, and the number of used cards is not influenced.
Optionally, the method according to the embodiment of the present application may further include: and refusing to display the information of the target eSIM configuration file in an operation management interface of the eSIM configuration file.
The LPA may be configured to provide an interface for operating a Profile in the eSIM chip, so as to perform operation management on the Profile in the eSIM chip through the interface, for example, operations such as activation, startup, deletion, and shutdown.
In order to avoid the user from performing operations such as starting, deleting, closing and the like on the target Profile specially used for mobile phone retrieval, under the condition that the LPA needs to display the operation management interface of the Profile of the eSIM, only the information of the Profile used for normal communication (the display content may include a mobile phone number corresponding to the Profile, operator information of the mobile phone number and the like) may be displayed, and the information of the target Profile is refused to be displayed.
The manner of rejecting displaying the information of the target Profile may be to hide the information of the target Profile in the operation management interface, or to display only the information of the Profile used for normal communication.
In addition, when determining which Profile information in the eSIM chip needs to be displayed, the LPA may identify name information (e.g., the nickname) of each Profile, and if the nickname is the Find _ Phone _ Use (indicating that the Profile is exclusively used for retrieving a mobile Phone), the LPA may not display the information of the target Profile.
Whether the nickname is Find _ Phone _ Use can be used for marking whether the Profile of the eSIM is displayed on a user operation management interface (used for interacting with the eSIM chip) of the LPA.
Further, as to the execution timing of the above additional steps of the present embodiment, when a display request of an eSIM Profile is received, the information of a normally communicated Profile may be displayed in response to the display request, and the information of the target eSIM Profile may be rejected from being displayed; the display request for the Profile in the eSIM chip may also be directly triggered after the target Profile for which the subscription is completed is downloaded to the eSIM chip.
In addition, for the above additional steps of the present embodiment, the order relationship with the steps of the above embodiment may include: the additional steps of the present embodiment are performed before the method of the embodiment of fig. 1 is performed, i.e., before step 100; alternatively, the additional steps of the present embodiment are performed after the method of the embodiment of fig. 1 is performed, i.e., after step 102; alternatively, the additional steps of the present embodiment are performed during the execution of the method of the embodiment of fig. 1, i.e. after step 101 described above.
In the embodiment of the application, the information of the target eSIM configuration file is refused to be displayed in the operation management interface of the eSIM configuration file, so that a user is prevented from operating (for example, starting) the target Profile in the operation management interface, and the target Profile can be prevented from being enabled by the user through the operation management interface under the condition that the target Profile is not lost in the electronic device, that is, the target instruction is not triggered; in addition, since the operation management interface cannot display the target Profile, after the electronic device is lost, a picker of the electronic device cannot close the started target Profile through the operation management interface to prevent the cellular data network environment provided by the target Profile from reporting the location of the electronic device.
Optionally, the method according to the embodiment of the present application may further include: and 103, in response to the target instruction, deleting the first eSIM configuration file, except the target eSIM configuration file, stored in the eSIM chip.
The first eSIM configuration file (i.e., a Profile for general communication, such as the above-mentioned example profiles 1 and 2) may also be named as a candidate eSIM configuration file excluding the target eSIM configuration file among the candidate eSIM configuration files stored in the eSIM chip.
The execution sequence between step 103 and step 102 is not limited.
For example, step 103 may be performed before step 102, and after triggering the target instruction, the Profile1 and the Profile2, such as the examples described above, in the eSIM chip may be deleted in response to the target instruction, so that only the target Profile is stored in the eSIM chip.
In the embodiment of the application, the first eSIM configuration file, except the target eSIM configuration file, stored in the eSIM chip can be deleted in response to the target instruction, so that after the target instruction is triggered, the user common eSIM Profile in the eSIM chip can be deleted in response to the target instruction, and the problems of information leakage, property loss and the like caused by the fact that a mobile phone picker steals owner information through a mobile phone number corresponding to the Profile for normal communication of an owner in lost electronic equipment can be prevented.
Alternatively, when the step 100 is executed, the method may be implemented by way of mode 1: receiving the target instruction sent to the account of the electronic equipment to realize the target instruction; alternatively, the mode 2: and receiving a target instruction sent to a target communication number, wherein the target communication number comprises a communication number corresponding to a second eSIM configuration file in a starting state in the eSIM chip.
Wherein the second eSIM profile can be the first eSIM profile.
In the mode 1, the existing electronic equipment is mainly intelligent electronic equipment, and when a user uses the electronic equipment, the user needs to set and log in accounts of the mobile phone (the accounts of the mobile phones of different brands are independent from each other), and the login of the account needs a password; by setting an account of the electronic device, the IMEI of the electronic device can be bound with the account.
In a specific scenario, after the user a loses the mobile phone a, the target instruction can be sent to the mobile phone account a logged in by the user a in the mobile phone a, and since the logout of the mobile phone account also requires a password, a picker of the mobile phone a cannot log in the mobile phone account a logged in by the mobile phone a in time, so that the mobile phone a can receive the target instruction in time through the mobile phone account a after the user a loses the target instruction.
As for the mode 2, after the user a loses the mobile phone a, a short message may be sent to the mobile phone number of the normal communication in the mobile phone a of the user a (for example, the mobile phone number 1 corresponding to the Profile1 or the mobile phone number 2 corresponding to the Profile2 in the above example), where the short message carries the target instruction. Of course, in this case, the step 103 needs to be executed after the step 102, so that when the short message carrying the target instruction is sent to the mobile phone number 1 or the mobile phone number 2, the Profile1 and the Profile2 are not deleted from the eSIM chip of the mobile phone a yet, so that the mobile phone a can normally receive the short message through the mobile phone number 1 or the mobile phone number 2.
In addition, as for the mode 2, since the user a may send the target instruction to the mobile phone a for multiple times after losing the mobile phone a, after the step 102, that is, after the target Profile is started, if the user needs to send the target instruction again, the user may also send a short message to the target mobile phone number corresponding to the target Profile to trigger the LPA in the mobile phone a to receive the target instruction again.
In the embodiment of the application, the starting of the target Profile specially used for mobile phone retrieval can be triggered by sending the target instruction to the account of the lost electronic device or sending the target instruction to the user communication number of the lost electronic device, so that a network environment is continuously provided to report the positioning of the electronic device to retrieve the electronic device. By providing two ways for the user to trigger the sending of the target instruction, the user can be enabled to quickly trigger the target instruction to retrieve the electronic device.
Referring to fig. 2, a flowchart of a method for managing an eSIM according to an embodiment of the present application is shown, where the method specifically includes the following steps:
s201, starting a mobile phone retrieving function;
the user can set a function of starting the mobile phone retrieval on the mobile phone;
s202, the mobile phone signs a contract with an operator to generate a special eSIM Profile for the mobile phone to retrieve;
the user opens a mobile phone retrieval setting interface in the mobile phone, the mobile phone can guide the user to sign a special eSIM Profile for mobile phone retrieval with the operator on line on the interface, specifically, the mobile phone sends a special SIM card request to the operator, and the operator replies the Profile of the special SIM card for the user to sign.
Profile is a SIM card (including PPR, nickname, assigned cell phone number) in data form, and is a non-physical SIM card. At the time of subscription, the operator may configure a PPR with a value of 0x03 for the dedicated eSIM Profile.
The PPR protocol specifies that, since the PPR is 0x03, this Profile cannot be deactivated or deleted after being activated. Therefore, according to the specifications of the PPR, the eSIM Profile cannot be deleted or closed after being enabled;
in addition, at the time of subscription, the operator also automatically sets a NickName of Find _ Phone _ Use for the dedicated eSIM Profile, mainly for marking whether the eSIM Profile is displayed on a UI (user interface) of the LPA.
Wherein, how the LPA determines which profiles are displayable and which are not displayable using nickname; after the Profile is displayed on the UI of the LPA, the user may operate the SIM card that enables the Profile, or close the SIM card, etc.
Therefore, the PPR of the special eSIM Profile for mobile phone recovery generated by subscription is 0x03, and the NickName is: find _ Phone _ Use.
S203, the mobile phone downloads the special eSIM Profile from the operator server to the mobile phone eSIM chip;
after the subscription is completed, the operator may use the two-dimensional code to download the special eSIM Profile by using the mobile phone.
After S203, S204, the LPA displays the Profile in the eSIM chip.
